Audio manager states melodyne is incompatible with Logic X

Melodyne is not working in Logic X. Audio Unit manager states crash validation.
I have removed all previous versions of Logic, and reloaded Melodyne. Any ideas?

BenB, I have the latest version. I wrote to the Melodyne and they told me to do the following but it did not work.
Delete the audio units cache file in
[Macintosh HD]/[Users]/[ - your username -]/[Library]/[Caches]/[AudioUnitCache]
You get there again with the Finder keyboard shortcut
SHIFT + COMMAND + G enter: ~/library/caches/
Go to your user "library" directory on your Mac. This directory is hidden by default, so to get to it quickly go to your Finder and use the keyboard shortcut
SHIFT  + COMMAND + G and enter
~/library/Preferences/ into the search field:
Once the "preferences" directory is shown in your Finder window, delete the file named:
com.apple.logic10.plist
then delete also this file named:
com.apple.logic.pro.plist
(Note: this file is solely present if a Logic version prior to Logic Pro X was used on this Mac!)
Now unistall "Melodyne singletrack" with the uninstaller under
APPLICATIONS -> MELODYNE SINGLETRACK
(just removing the component from the plug ins folder may not be enough).
Restart the Mac and repair disk permissions with the "disk utility" program.
Once the Mac has rebooted, start Logic Pro X and let it scan Audio units if needed.
Next install "Melodyne singletrack" from scratch. Start Logic again and let it scan Audio units.
If the validation crashes again open the Audio Units Manager in Logic.
Locate the Melodyne Plug In, select it and click on "Reset and Rescan validation".
After doing all of this I removed all the older versions of Logic and still the same result. Any more ideas?

    If it works now on 10.8.4, then yes. This depends on OS X and drivers (if needed), not on Logic. Logic can only 'see' hardware that the OS can see.

    No I didn't use the apple utility to convert it. I just made sure that the length of the audio was correct by doing command-T, and adding it to the Apple loops library, but I think there is something wrong with that audio file, cause within the same loop folder all the others sync, but that one that I want. I don't know how to convert using the apple utility. I always Command-T.

    No, it doesn't affect your anti-virus program, only the silly little extensions that some anti-virus applications install into Firefox that duplicate features which are built into Firefox = anti-phishing & web forgery protection.

  • Why is Norton 360 toolbar disabled and incompatible with Firefox?

    I recently switched from Internet Explorer to Firefox 26 - I have the most recent updates for both products, but my Norton toolbar will not enable - the add-on extension states it is incompatible with Firefox, even though the Norton site claims it is compatible. The Norton Vulnerability Protection was also disabled, but after checking for updates in the toolbox, it was enabled. Is my Norton working while browsing in Firefox, and when will my Norton toolbar be available?

  • HPE-500y Realtek HD Audio Manager missing retasking feature

    Hello,
    I have an HP Elite model HPE-500y desktop computer and loaded Windows 8 Pro 64 bit. All drivers loaded and everything works great BUT the Realtek HD Audio Manager does not have the audio jack re-tasking option. I tried the Audio Driver from the HP Support website and also 2 different driver packages from the Realtek website. The current driver I’m using is 6.0.1.6804 and my computer’s audio chipset is the Realtek ALC888S-VD. My 2 older computers both also had Realtek HD Audio Managers and they both had the audio jack re-task (remapping) option, but this newer HP doesn’t.
    Can I download a different version of the Realtek HD Audio Manager Utility which would give me the re-tasking options ?
    Note: The Realtek HD Audio Manager does not load in Windows task bar until I click on it in Control Panel. Next time I reboot, it's still not in the task bar. The yellow folder that should appear in the HD Audio Manager's top right corner with retasking options is missing.

    Try following some steps
    go to your device manager > right click on unknown devices > go to  Properties > then Details tag 
    select from drop down list called  Hardware ID's (PCI\VEN...) Copy it via right click...
    and search it according to it on google or any serch engine you will get the right drivers..

  • Melodyne 2.6 not working with Logic 7.1.1

    Hi,
    those of you who are using Melodyne with Logic and Tiger, does it
    work with the Bridge mode ?
    I've been trying it now with several different takes and all I get
    out of it is sort of a hummingbird like a whistle
    or pigs been strangled..take your pick..is it just me ??
    It's the 2.6.0.6 Bridge version with Logic 7.1.1 and Tiger 10.4.2.

    Wll first answering my own question I may have found out the culprit.
    After launching my mLan auto connector and looking at MIDI/Audio set up I found that even Logic was working allright with my 01X though it still insisted I was using Internal audio instead of mLan. After changing that, the first and so far only test, I was able to use Melodyne OK.
    Otherwise I repeat what others already said here that although Logic lists Melodyne 2.6.0.6 as incompatible it will work.
    I guess now that v3 is due out in about a month we'll never see the 2.6. updated to fully work with Logic 7.

    i managed to open an audio file and placed it in the sampler,i can play t sample in the little keyboard in the zones section, howver i dont know how to play it with my controller... the sample shows in C1 on logic's keyboard but if i play C1 on my controller nothing happens... how can i fix this?
    Also, i noticed the sample plays from beginning to end once i click on it, how do i do to just make it last until i release the key? like a logic sound??? (in case i want to play a small portion of the sample only)

    This seems to be the best perm. manager and I don't see why exactly would Xperia Z1 be incompatible with it... Can anyone explain, please?
    Also, if I can't have this - would you recommend any other working perm. manager? I am not OK with every other app forcing itself onto my device w/o me having any control over it. An app that has only textual content shouldn't require access to my account information. And I should be allowed to control that at any given time, shouldn't I?

    I am really disappointed. Don't see a logical reason why the Z1 would be incompatible with this. It doesn't make any sense. I guess I'll try using 'Advanced Permission Manager' instead, which seems to run. What bothers me is that it rebuilds the .apk and then asks you to uninstall the old one and then install the new one. Is this how App Ops works as well? If it is so... I am not missing out on that much.

  • Digi 001 Core Audio Manager and Logic 7.1

    I just upgraded to Pro 7.1 from logic 5.5.1. When I would start up 5.1.1 it would automaticly startup the coreaudio manager for the Digi. I've noticed now using 7.1 that I have to start the Digi Core Audio Manager before starting up Logic Pro or it will not recognize the Digi at all, and will remove the digi as a sound card selection. Does anyone else experience this same issue? Is it normal? I read into the logic help and it said with a TDM or HD digi hardware this would be necessary. I'm confused help would be appreciated.

    Yes, this is normal when using Logic Pro 7.1 and Digi Coreaudio version 6.4. They seem to have fixed this in more recent versions of the coreaudio manager, but 6.4 is the last revision supported by the Digi 001.

  • How efficient is 'Melodyne' with Logic 9?

    I know this has been discussed numerous times, but I am considering buying the Melodyne plugin (the purchase includes a free update to the new version coming in September!), and I would like to know how efficiently it interfaces with Logic as compared to doing it all within say, Pro Tools 8 LE. Are there a lot of extra steps because it's a plugin? Does it suck a lot of extra CPU from Logic to do it's magic? Do most users feel it sounds better than Pro Tool's Elastic Time & Pitch? (less artifacts) And lastly, is there any disadvantage to buying the plugin now instead of waiting until the new version is released?

    So far, everything seems as stable as before.  Which doesn't actually mean its rock solid, but otherwise workable.  I'm running a Focusrite Saffire Pro 24DSP with beta audio drivers.  So far, everything is running well.  I decided to jump into the 64bit work environment with Logic.  I have yet to encounter huge problems with the 32bit audio bridge.  Just making sure I bounce everything that is 32bit.
    As for everything else within Logic, I can't say I hate Lion.  Matter of fact, Lion seems buggier than Logic at the moment.  Logic handles well in Lion, but Lion on its own overall is a different can of worms.  I am mixed about a 10.7.1 update.  Usually, it fixes something on the OS, but breaks something else in Logic.
    I have faith that Lion will turn out to be as solid as Snow Leopard.  SL was my favorite OSX so far.  Lion still leaves allot to be desired in terms of stability.
    Again, answer to your question:  for me, Logic and Lion play nice.............for now.

  • Can't run Ableton Live 8 as slave with Logic 9 in 64bit (Melodyne error)

    Hi,
    Just downloaded Melodyne Editor 2.01 and installed on Mac Book Pro and iMac. I loaded Logic 9 in 64bit and then Ableton Live 8 as a slave. I was met with the following message:
    An error has occurred while opening “Melodyne singletrack” via ReWire. It is probably already in use. In order to run this program as a ReWire slave application, you will have to launch Live first.
    This stops Live from working as a slave. This does not happen when Logic in launched in 32bit mode and everything works normally. The same thing is happening on both my Mac Book Pro and iMac.
    Can I run Live 8 as a slave with Logic in 64bit mode? If so can anyone suggest a work around or solution please. I tried to search but couldn't find what I was looking for.

    Do you actually have Rewire installed?
    If you are on an Intel machine, then you're running Logic intel-native but Live 4 PPC-emulated - you should really upgrade to a version of Live that works natively on your Intel Mac.
    This maybe why Logic can't see Live, depending on how Rewire handles this.

  • M-Audio 61ES not playing nicely with Logic Pro X!

    The 61ES has been doing some really wacky things: I opened it up out of the box for the first time last night and right off the bat the middle octave of notes on the controller were very quiet compared to the high and low notes on the board. It was like the velocity wasn't working properly on those keys or something. The sounds worked fine in Logic when I pencilled them in. But I was too tired to mess around with it more, so went to bed and figured I'd deal with it in the morning. So this morning, the middle octave of keys seems fine, but the middle G just won't play at all. And many of the notes aren't tracking, or playing- especially during fast passages.
    I pulled up Pro Tools 10 and the 61ES worked fine. So something is going on between the controller and Logic. Anyone have any ideas?
    I'm running it on a MacBook Pro with 10.8.5. And the latest version of Logic Pro X- 10.0.6. Thanks for any advice!

    hey im still pretty new to this. i have a powerbook G4 with logic pro 9. i just got a steinberg CI1 usb audio interface which i was told would work with logic. (http://www.steinberg.net/en/products/hardware/ci1/ci1_start.html) im recording vocals and im having trouble with logic picking up any audio. ive installed the drivers and my mac has no problem discovering the interface. i went into logic and it intilized the core audio, and then i went to "prefrences" and set the audio input/output to the interface. i can hear myself with the headphones i connect to the interface and i can also hear the instrumental music coming from logic. The problem is logic wont pick up any of my vocals. I set the track to record enable and i still have nothing. Any help? Thanks!
    oh and i tried it with garageband and it worked fine, so im pretty sure it has to do something with the setting on logic. any help would be appreciated!

    Hey bud i was able to sort it quite easily in the end!
    Ensure u have latest drivers installed!
    Restart your mac! Ensure interface is plugged in
    Load logic!
    Click the + to add a new track:- select audio instrument!
    Enable record and monitoring! Choose the channel you want to record from!
    You may have to select your interface as your output if monitors are being used through the interface!
