Audio messing up half way into video

I recently bought a video ipod and also downloaded videora ipod converter. I had a copy of Gone in Sixty Seconds ripped onto my computer so I used videora to convert it to an mpeg-4. Then i imported it into itunes and copied it to my ipod. I then went to my videos on my ipod and began watching it. It was great until about halfway into the video. All of a sudden, the audio was lagging behind the video and people's mouths were moving before the words came out. Why did it begin to do this halfway into the video when it doesn't do it on other videos?

Natively supported FCP formats are those listed in your EASY PRESET list.
You can find the codec by opening the file in QT Pro then using the Apple + I (get info).
While in QT Pro, you can choose FILE>EXPORT then EXPORT>Movie to Quicktime Movie
Under OPTIONS select the appropriate FCP native codec (format) and write out the file. Import that into FCP and things should be better.
Good luck,

  • Audio messing up half way thru video

I imported an avi file into final cut and rendered the audio and the video. Once in final cut pro half way thru the video the audio becomes garbled and sounds like I'm trying to play two different audio tracks at once. I checked the original avi file and the problem does not exist. I'm on a MAJOR deadline of course, does anyone have any ideas of what my problem might be? thanks so much!

  • Audio cuts out half way through video after conversion.

I just put together some video clips I've shot into a single video, then ran it through conversion. Half way through the completed video, the audio cuts out for the rest of the film. Yet in iMovie, it's still there. I've converted twice and it cuts out in the same spot. Could corruption in a single clip, kill the audio for the following clips? Since it takes hours to convert, I thought I'd ask before deleting the suspect clip and starting again.
I've spliced together clips before without problem, using the same camera source.
    Thanks.
    Cheers

I figured a work-around. From the clip where the audio cut out till the end, I dragged those clips to a new iMovie project. After converting, the sound was intact for that portion. Then I opened the complete version with audio cut-off in Quicktime Pro. Deleted the the half with audio loss. Then joined the new half I just created. Voila!
Only when I went to post the video on my vlog, did my Internet connection die (Comcast strikes again).

  • Encoded FLV audio cuts out half way

I'm trying to encode a.mov file to .flv using Flash Video
Encoder CS3. Every time I encode, no matter what settings I use,
the audio just stops half way through when played back in Flash. If
I encode in Squeeze, it works.
    What's the deal?

I am having the same problem. I am outputting a video from
Final Cut Pro to QT, then checking my QT file to make sure the
audio is there, then I encode in Flash Video Encoder CS3, and like
the person below me, the audio cuts half way through the video.
I was using a 480x360 QT file and converting to 15 fps
480x360 flv, audio cuts out. Using a 320x240 QT file and converting
to 15 fps 320x240, audio is there.

  • CS 5.5 loses audio in clip half way through.

I've imported an AVCHD (MTS) clip into PP5.5. It plays fine thru vlc and quicktime, but once imported it loses the audio half way through. Any ideas?

  • I have been watching a rental movie and the audio cut out half way through, tried restoring the apple TV now I've lost the rental.

I have just been watching (The  Adjustment Bureau) a rental movie and about half way through the audio cut out, I tried rerunning the chapter but still the same problem so I tried the restoring function and now I have lost the 48 hrs viewing of the movie. So how do I get the movie back without paying for it again and is this problem likely to reoccoure and if so how do I rest without loosing the movie?

    Hi David.
This must be a glitch in the movie file on the iTunes server because my husband and I just reached the same point in he film (The Adjustment Bureau) and no audio! Totally cuts out and doesn't come back in. We tried the same - turned off, signed out, and also couldn't see the rental in the menu... Sign out, sign back in and click 'Check for rentals' in the 'General' menu just under where you signed in.
It may come up with a negative 'no more rentals can be found' or similar but go back to the main screen and check anyway. It should be there.

  • Audio stops about 25 seconds into video.

When I play my videos, the iPod freezes for about 5 seconds and then resumes without any sound.
These files used to work fine, but now they have this problem. The video works fine in iTunes, but do not work on the iPod.
These files also work fine on my brother's iPod. I called Apple and they said that they do not support the iPod for converted files. The video files I got from Apple work fine, but the converted files no longer work.
    Any ideas??

The new ipod software update has done that to
everyone. You'll need to rollback to the
    11-17-2005
or 10-12-2005 software in order to get it to go
    away.
I'm currently using the 10-12-2005 update until
    apple
comes up with a fix for their current stupidity of
    problems.
Note to apple: Test your software before releasing
    it. Mkay?
Thanks for the heads up. Now, How do I roll back to
    an older software?
I went to Program Folders and found the folder for the old software. I reverted to the old software. It fixed the problem.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Audio doesn't match video because repeated half way through

    Hi guys,
I am currently editing videos from my Canon SLR with Adobe Premiere Elements (Windows).
In the same project, I have only uploaded videos taken the same day with the same equipment. I have been able to process them all normally apart from one. For some reason, when I play this file with a basic video player, everything works fine but when I import it in the Adobe software and play it either through the small window or in the timeline, I have the same problem:
Everything works fine (audio and video in sync), until it reaches a specific point (totally random as far as I can tell) when the video keeps going but suddenly the sound repeats itself from the beginning of the file (and the audio which would correspond to the video is replaced by it). For you to understand better the problem:
    Video:   ABCDEF
    Audio:   ABCABC
I have tried opening it in a different project and somehow it happens exactly at the same point.
I am totally clueless of what it comes from and getting really frustrated!
    Any idea?
    Cheers
    Babs

Hello, I'm new to using forums like this.  Is it appropriate for me to post that I'm having the same issue?  Also sounds similar to Audio doesn't match video because repeated half way through as well.
    My situation is:
    Win7 64-bit, i7 920, 2.67GHz, 8GB RAM
Multiple Nikon D7000 video clips I've taken play back fine except for the following clip.  In Windows Media Viewer, I have no problem, but in PE10, in the timeline editor, this clip repeats the audio from the beginning starting about 6 minutes into the video.  I have Quicktime version 7.7.5 installed which I noticed was mentioned as a possible culprit in the other thread.
I've been using my camera primarily for stills, but decided to have my mom tell her story before she wasn't able to.  I'm so frustrated with this problem because I know the audio is just fine since I can play it back synchronized throughout the entire clip in WMV.  I've tried cleaning out PE caches as best I can figure them out and created new projects without any better luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I'm open to getting a new version of PE or another program if I could believe that I wouldn't run into this issue again.  This seems like such a vanilla problem since all my other clips seem to be fine and this one does too on WMV.
Thanks for any help you can provide.  I don't really know where else to go to figure this out.

  • Why does the video freeze half way through my movie and the audio keep going?

Why does my movie freeze half way through and the audio continues?

Most likely this is due to running out of virtual memory. You can reset virtual memory by restarting your Mac.
Long term you may want to consider purchasing more memory.

  • Audio disappears half way through slideshow

Made a DVD with 11 slideshows (~1000 images total) spread over 3 menus. All slideshows were built in iDVD 5.0.1 using a media browser (from iPhoto). Travel 1 theme. No transitions. All slideshows set to loop. For audio, added a different single track to each slideshow. Used "Save as Image" option and then checked the resulting disk image in Apple DVD Player.
What happens: audio gets cut off (and never comes back) some way into a slideshow. For some slideshows it is close to 5 min. from the beginning, yet for other this happens only 2.5 min. after the slideshow starts.
What I tried: encoding settings "best performance" or "best quality"; reverting to QuickTime 7.0.1 from 7.0.3. This did not make any difference.
    Any suggestions? Thanks.

Just a sad update. After extensive testing I did not find any solution to the problem. What I tested:
    1. 10.4.3 or 10.4.2 (archive and install from 10.4.3) or 10.3.9 (fresh install).
    2. QuickTime 7.0.1 or 7.0.3.
    3. iTunes 4.9 or 5.0.1 or 6.0.
    4. Different audio tracks for the slideshow in which audio disappears half-way.
    5. Different formats of audio tracks - AIFF or AAC.
    6. Tried increasing the length of the track to make it much longer than the length of the slideshow. I did this in GarageBand by creating 5 tracks using the same AAC file and then exporting the result back to iTunes.
    7. iDVD encoding settings "Best Quality" or "Best Performance".
    8. Creating PAL or NTSC DVD disk.
THE RESULT: The same as before. For some slideshows audio disappears during transition from slide 32 to 33, for others - from 51 to 52, yet for others - from slide 70 to 71.
What is odd: Redoing the DVD project in the same software setup gives different results - fewer or more slideshows may be affected than before. Therefore, the success rate is random and unpredictable.
WHAT I DID FIND: Out of 7 slideshows (of the total 11) that had problems with sound (during all my futile attempts) 6 contained images that were recently added to iPhoto - since the last time I was able to successfully make a perfect slideshow DVD (this was back in mid-August).
MY GUESS: This problem relates to the length of the DVD. If I make two DVDs under the same software setup, one with 11 slideshows, another with just 5, then the second will have only 1 or 2 slideshows with disappearing sound, while the first one may have up to 7.
For me this is a dead end. And I'll be waiting for iLife'06.

  • Begin audio part way into presentation

I want to begin music in a presentation about half-way through rather than at the beginning. Is that possible?

Greetings and welcome to the Forum:
This topic has been addressed in numerous previous threads in the Forum. Try searching on the keywords music, hyperlink, soundtrack, etc.
Briefly, if you want to begin a music track that will carry through several slides, it must be created as a Soundtrack for a presentation that encompasses those slides. If these slides are a subset of a larger presentation, then you need to create separate sub-presentations, each containing the particular group of slides. Each then can have its own soundtrack. Finally, you will have to link the presentations together via Hyperlinks.
If you want a music track to play through only one slide, that is easy: Just drag the file icon for the music track into the slide; select it and the assign it to Start Audio in the Build-In menu. Be aware, however, that the track will stop playing as soon as you progress to the next slide.
So, a quick answer to your question is "maybe" but it depends on how you want to structure your presentation.
    Good luck.

  • Many MPEG1 muxed videos play half way then stop

Lots of .mpg and .avi files stop half way through; .wmv, using Flip4Mac, work okay. The position pointer continues on to the end of the file and audio continues, but video stops. These are usually MPEG1 muxed; my QuickTimeMPEG.component file is 7.4.5 from June 2006. Is that he culprit, and if so, is there a newer one somewhere?

Obviously the MPEGs have broken timecodes which the QT is allergic to.
You can fix them with MPEG Streamclip and convert the fixed file as a new MPEG.

I cannot hear my entire audiobook.  About half way through it there is no audio.  Can I re-download it?

They downloaded into seperate files but when I double click the .exe file for the 7z it works fine, however with the other file i recieve a message that "The file archive part of adobe Photoshop 11 is missing. You need all parts in the same file to extract Adobe Photoshop 11. Please download all parts." It looks like the download should be fine, I never recieved an error and I've now downloaded it twice (it takes forever) and neither will work. I am running Windows 8 and I'm wondering if there might be a conflict somehow?

How do I stop/cancel burning a playlist into multiple Cds half way through?
    Thank you!!

Although iTunes supposedly has the ability burn a long playlist across multiple audio CDs, in practice the capability is buggy and error-prone, and always has been.  Do not even use it.  Split the playlist into individual playlists, each comfortably under 80 minutes, and burn them one at a time.
