Audio meters on screen/off screen option gone in 09?

I haven't used this feature in a while but I really need it for the project I'm doing right now.
Remember when GB had the option to turn the graphical interface for the audio meters on and off. Turning them off graphically would make them slide to the left and hide them.
Is this gone in 09?
I'm working a project with 32 tracks and I'm moving tracks up the screen so every track is in the correct descending order but I keep sliding my mouse across the audio slider inadvertently and it would be nice to just get rid of the sliders for a while.

Well I'm done arranging the 32 tracks (more to come for sure) but I did accidentally slide my cursor over the fader and the pan knob about 3 times. Luckily I hit save every time I moved a track so I could revert.
Theres a lot of things I don't understand the "why" about when it comes to the latest GB iteration.
For instance the media browser seems like a good Idea but when it comes to browsing audio it only really works for stuff you have inside iTunes. It would be really nice if the media browser let me browse and listen to the loops I have spread across 2 external TB drives and a 750GB external drive.
Instead I have to use an app called AudioFinder.

Missing Tool Palette & Audio Meters!!!

Hi all. My first post.
A question: Is there a way to reset or lock the windows beyond simply Window > Arrange > Standard ?
The above function restores the browser, timeline and clip viewers, but the tool palette and audio meters have moved off-screen. I've tried every combo of maximizing, moving and minimizing the other windows, but with no luck. All I can see is the pointer tab on the tool palette. Very frustrating indeed.
My own fault, since I mess around with the window and tool positioning so much. Please offer any suggestions or similar experiences. Thanks.

Thanks Tom for responding! Even though closing and relaunching the program didn't work, when I restarted the box it worked fine. The palette & all windows reset.

How do you play YouTube audio with the screen off with iPod 5th gen?

I used to own a 2nd gen iPod touch, which ran on an ios 4.2.1 system, that allowed me to play YouTube with the screen off. Ever since I got iPod 5 which came with ios 7, let's say I am kinda still getting the hang of how everything works. I still would like to play YouTube while the screen is off, but seem to not know how. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? It's running on ios 8, so if you could help me with this, I would gladly appreciate it!

Hi there, you can download itube, it's in the app store, and that allows you to save youtube videos for offline play. Also, you can play youtube audio with the screen off, even without a third party app. Click on a video. When it's playing, press the lock button. Press it again, to wake the device up. You should see your video on the front of the display, with a play button. Click it, and it will start playing even if the device is off. Hope I helped, ~Samuel.

Try a reset. Hold down the Sleep/Wake button + Home button for around 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.

IPad 2 Screen has gone black

I recently updated my Ipad 2 to IOS 8. Yesterday I was playing Candy Crush Saga (No sniggering) and put it down to do something else.
I returned to find the screen had gone black, but was still illuminating. Tried to wake it up, but with no success. I then tried holding the power and front button together for up to 30 seconds to try and reset it. This didn't work, although power to the screen cycles from off black, to illuminated black whilst trying this.
I then connected it to my laptop and downloaded IOS 8.0.2 on the laptop and transferred it to the iPad. Got a warning that this wasn't successful as the iPad was locked and needed its passcode put in. Obviously couldn't do this as I can't see anything on the screen. Pressed the retry option on the laptop and it seemed to work. This still didn't unfreeze the iPad which still shows a black screen.
I then tried doing a factory reset on it from the laptop, got the the same passcode error message, retried and was told on the laptop that the reset had been successful. I still can't get a screen on the iPad however. laptop shows the iPad to be 100% charged.
I've looked through the help files and tried connecting it to a power source, the hold both buttons to reset trick and a factory reset, all to no avail. I had a similar problem a week ago, but that was resolved when I plugged it into the mains.
It's only 18 months old and has been well treated, and as it was working when I last left it so can anyone helop me get my iPad working again?

Is the battery empty ? If it is then it can take up to 15 minutes of charging before it will respond.
And by had reset do you mean pressing and holding both the sleep and home buttons ? If so then how long did you hold them for - it can take up to 10 to 15 seconds.

Was on the phone a few days ago and was hot so come off and now the screen is black and i cant see anything. Try and do a hard reset by holding down the home button and the sleep/wake button and then turning it back on
If that does not work you have to do a restore unfortunately

I've had an iPod Touch 4th generation for a few years now, and, today, for the first time, the screen has gone white and their are vertical lines on it. What happened was I accidentally dropped my iPod Touch on tile and it landed on its back. I tried it out right afterwards to see if it was still working and it seemed like it was perfectly fine. Later on, I got an email from one of my friends, so I slid the email button on the lock screen to see the email. In the email, there was a link to a gif image, so I opened it in Safari. After I was done with it, I closed that tab. I also had a second tab open from earlier, so I wanted to close that tab as well. When I clicked on the button to see all tabs and close one, the screen completely froze. I held on to the on/off button on the top of the iPod, and, after about a minute, the screen switched to a completely white screen with lines on it. I've tried holding onto the on/off button again and it doesn't work. I also tried plugging it into my Windows 7 computer and opening iTunes, but my computer doesn't even recognized it is plugged in. It won't appear under the "computer" section in Windows Explorer, which will allow me to do USB-related tasks with it. iTunes doesn't recognize that it is plugged in either, so I can't do anything like restore the iPod to factory settings. The home button on my iPod hasn't been working for a while so i've always been using the accessibility feature that gives me a home button on the screen. Now that I can't access that, I can't hold down both the on/off button and the home button at the same time. What should I do? Should I send it in to Apple for repairs (which I won't do and would rather buy a new iPod Touch)? I am thinking of just leaving it to, hopefully, have the battery drain and the iPod would die. Then, I could charge it and see what happens. Other than that, i'm just clueless right now and I have no idea what I should do. Please help me!

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Lumia 730 wifi issues and glance screen option

I am having issues with wifi.
Though the wifi is connected, i was not able to use internet either browse / apps.
The wifi only works then, need to off and on.
This is happening right from the start of purchase.
Sometimes i use to soft reset and use, it works fine for the halfday and there goes issue again.
Previously i was using Lumia 720, and upgraded to 730 due to dual sim, with the same wifi router at home and at office.
Could you please help here.
Also why there is no Glance Screen option in Lumia 730.
Why Why...lumia devices(hardware) differ from one device to other devices though its a same combinaiton of Hardware + Software.

Passbook show in lock screen option missing on starbucks

Is it just me, but when I re-added the starbucks passbook option back in to passbooks, my option for show in lock screen is missng.
I removed the starbucks option from passbook as it never worked for me using passbook.
Any idea on how to add the show in lock screen or did apple/starbucks remove the show in lock screen option?

If you are having issues with passes not showing on your Lock Screen, you may find the following article helpful:
If your pass does not appear on the Lock screen, go to Passbook and select the pass there to scan it. Passes will not appear automatically if:
Location Services is disabled
"Show on Lock Screen" turned off for that pass
The merchant does not support this feature
