Audio narration mixed with animation effects

Does anyone know why the audio animation effects become faint
when mixed in Breeze with the narration audio? It is almost as if
it automatically layers the audio for the narration to take
precedence.

It seems that you answered your own question. The narration
does take precedence. Presenter is intended to have one audio track
playing.

  • Unable to perform multi audio tracks mixing with Audio Mixer

How do you get a simple multi track mix with the Premier Pro 1.5 Audio Mixer?
I got 2 audio clips, each sitting at the start of its own separate track (Audio 1 and Audio 2). I just want to mix them into the Master track.  Simple enough.
So I go to the Audio Mixer. Position the CTI at the start of the tracks and hit the red RECORD button. The red spot starts blinking. Then I hit the START/STOP button expecting the tracks to start mixing into the Master track. Instead, I get this error message
"PLAYER ERROR: You cannot record without enabling at least one track for recording."
I get the same problem if I try the mix onto a submix track.
What am I missing? I combed through the Premiere Pro User Guide and J. Rosenberg's Premiere Pro Studio Techniques but to no avail.
    Thanks for any help.
    JB.

Jacques, I havn't seen 1.5 for a while, so I need to stress that what I'm about to say is more of an educated guess linked to a rough memory.
Each audio track in the mixer has a small chip (tickbox in 1.5??) that you click in order to enable that track for recording. In CS3 it's a little microphone.
Having said that, I DON'T think that's going to give you what you want, as the intention of the recording functionality in PP is to record audio FROM AN EXTERNAL SOURCE (like a microphone) straight to an audio track, say, when doing a Voice Over for some video.
You can't "mix down" to the master, as the master is not a track per se. It's just a "final" level control. The master will always be the sum of the active tracks, and THAT'S what will be rendered in the final output.
You can still "live mix" your audio with the faders, it's just that those movements get recorded as keyframes on each of the tracks you modify (including, BTW, the Master).
The advantage to this workflow is that every fader move you make is infinitley editable... a small error when riding the faders can easily be fixed by dragging keyframes.

    Hi,
I don't know anything about how your setup is plugged into each other,so I'll gracefully and carefully go out on a limb:
1.The Migraine Audio device,it has sound outputs...yes??? Are these outputs hooked up to any sound-generating devices, like speakers, yes??? If not, that would be one reason why you don't hear anything from the migraine device.
2.The Core Audio Drivers in Logic, they are configuerd correctly, yes???? They are selecting the Migraine device as the I/O,yes??? If it is not, then you might be recording with the built-in mic, oohh la la,not a good thing.
3.If you do have spekaers hooked up to the migraine-induceing device, they should be on,and the monitor knob turned to about 10am,so your migraine does not get too loud.
Did the limb I go out on break,or am i still up on the tree?

  • Audio interface/mixer advice

    Hi All
I've got a first gen macbook (the black one). I've got a USB external harddrive (about an extra 100 GB).
I have Logic Studio installed and i'm going to be doing some recording of my band in January.
I'm going to be buying an audio interface/mixer with a budget of between £300 - £400 UK pounds.
I will be requiring it to be a firewire connection that can stream the channels simultaneously (for recording drums tracks etc).
Recording the drums i know is the important part when it comes to channels etc so i think 8 or 10 will be absolutely fine.
Can anyone recommend an audio interface/mixer that they think is good, will work fine with my macbook and logic pro and achieve good quality home studio audio.
I've checked out M audios NRV-10 but dont think it has QUITE enough channels for drums etc
Is this Alesis Multimix 16 Firewire Mixer + Audio Interface any better?
    Any other suggestions
    Thanks in advance

  • Questions about Pre-amp of the Tascam FW1884 or M-Audio Project Mix...

    Hello everybody,
I'd like to purchase a semi-pro (I hope) audio interface.
The Tascam FW1884 or the M-Audio Project Mix with their "all in one" feature seem to fit for what I want to do.
But I don't know if the Pre-amp or the digital converters are quite good or just awfull.
Are they better or not than the FireStudio from Presonus ?
Since I need at least 8 XLR inputs, the FireStudio seems to be a good choice (but without a remote control, I know...)
Is there someone who have an answer ?
    Thanks
    Vincent
PS : pardon my English, I'm desperatly French

I have a ProjectMix and I like it. There are others that I know that like it, and there are others that don't. I've actually gotten some really nice results at times with it along with my Tube Condenser and Ribbon mics when I need it. I also plug my electric guitar into it, and I like what I get from it. It's not my main interface, but when I do use it for recording, I haven't been disappointed with it.

  • Audio gets delayed with Plugin - Help please!

I have a simple setup. Several external MIDI modules and an M-Audio Audiophile 192 PCI card in the G5. MIDI synth audio is mixed with the 192 audio externally on an analogue mixer.
All is well until I add a Linear Phase EQ plugin into the Main audio output in LP. Suddenly all the Audio is delayed slightly compared with the MIDI! If I bypass the plugin it's fine again. I thought there was a setting somewhere to compensate for this but darned if I can find it. Anyone?
    I'm using LP 7.2

    Go to Preferences ->Audio...->General
There you can change settings for Plug-in delay compensation.
If you want to play live, use Chanel EQ instead.
Also don't use the AdLimiter live.

  • BW animation effect

    hi, experts
my customer wants to see BW chart with animation effect, for example, when displaying a line chart, the line starts from the start point and extend to the end point.
another effect is that: display a map(maybe a contry or a provice), when the mouse move over it, the coordinate and the keyfigure(maybe the sales amount in the province) is displayed
how to get these animation effect? should i install addtional components?

    Hi,
Thorugh BEX Web Application Desinger we can do all these effects. In WAD please check all the properties to get animation effect for the charts. Check all the properties for the CHART ITEM in WAD.
These are only possible thru BI 7.0.
    Using Maps:
Maps has to be loaded into your system. to get these maps we need to order to SAP AG. They can only provide these types of maps or other way is to get through the ARCVIEW Software where you can generate your own Maps.
Numerous characteristics of the SAP BI possess geographic meaning, for example,
customer, sales region, country. The geographic information, as well as the
associated relevant characteristic values, can be evaluated in the BEx Map. The
BEx Map is the geographical information system (GIS) of SAP BI. It is integrated
    into the Business Explorer.
Maps can be used to visualize economic connections and distributions. You can
clearly represent, for example, specific characteristic numbers as hues, circle or
bar charts for a country, a region or a city. You can also alter the layout of a map
by either zooming in or out around detailed or region-specific information. In this
way the marketing study of a certain product becomes related to a certain region
or a country. Market opportunities or dangers can be recognized in one view.
In addition to using tables or diagrams to visualize information, you can represent
geographically relevant information on a map using BEx Map.
Within the BEx Map, you can use different ways to visualize information:
    • You can assign different colors to certain areas of maps.
    • You can add diagrams (bar charts and/or pie charts).
    • You can display location information (for example, customer addresses) in
the form of points, triangles, squares or crosses on the map.
    • You can use any query that contains geo-relevant characteristics for mapping.
Maps of different degrees of detail can be layered on top of each other as indicated
by different levels of characteristic values.
For example, if a characteristic number in a query is used on the country, region
and postal code levels, three layers in the BEx Map can be indicated. The
respective characteristic for the geographical analysis must be activated.
A higher level covers an underlying level if it has a larger, opaque surface over
    the map level below it.
Connections (or correlations) between data provide the basis for planning and
actions because they are more easily recognizable when visualized on a map.
    Figure 87: Geo-characteristic Types
To use an InfoObject in BEx Map, you must first define it as a geo-characteristic.
This is done in the InfoObject maintenance of the Administrator Workbench.
In the listing of the InfoObjects, select the desired InfoObject and open the
InfoObject in maintenance mode. On the Business Explorer tab, indicate the
desired type of geo-characteristic in the Geographical Type field.
Activate the InfoObject to save the assignment.
Shape files make the static geo-characteristics available on the map.
The Structure of the Shape Files
    • The Shape files consist of three differently formatted files:
    – *.shp – Geo-data that forms the map
    – *.shx – Geo-index to reduce map access time
    – *.dbf – Attributes for the geo-element, such as country or region
Static and dynamic geo-characteristics describe data with geographic relevance
(for example, characteristics such as customer, sales region, country). This
geo-relevant data is represented and evaluated by maps.
There are four different types of geo-characteristics: static, dynamic, dynamic
with values as attributes, and static with geo-characteristics.
    • Static geo-characteristics
    – Characteristics that do not change over a long period of time (for
    example, country, state)
    • Dynamic geo-characteristics
    – Characteristics that are subject to change (for example, customer, sales
    office)
    • Dynamic geo-characteristic with values as attributes
    – Characteristics that are subject to change and whose geo-coordinates are
derived from a referenced static geo-characteristic with geo-attributes
(for example, customers referenced with the geo-characteristic postal
    code).
    • Static geo-characteristic with geo-attributes
    – Static geo-characteristics are enhanced with geo-coordinates to
determine geographic location; used with dynamic geo-characteristics
that have values as attributes (for example, postal code).
    Static geo-characteristic
A static geo-characteristic has geographic coordinates that do not often
change and describe a surface (polygon). Country or region are examples of
static geo-characteristics. Attributes of static geo-characteristics are defined
by the geometry of surfaces or polygons whose data are stored in shape files.
    Dynamic geo-characteristic
A dynamic geo-characteristic has geographic coordinates that change
more frequently and describe a place (location information). Customer or
workplace are examples of dynamic geo-characteristics because they are
settled at a geographic point, which can be described by an address. The
address data of these characteristics is subject to frequent change. SAP BW
adds a set of standard attributes to this geo-characteristic. The geographic
coordinates of the appropriate object are stored for each line in the master
data table. A geographic coordinate includes the following geo-attributes:
    Linking Data to a Map:
Static geo-characteristics are connected to shape file map coordinates using the
    SAPBWKEY.
When implementing a query for this geo-characteristic, BEx Map transfers the
data for every area on the map.
To be able to maintain the SAPBWKEY, you have to load the three files for the
shape file to your local hard disk. However, you can maintain the SAPBWKEY in
the dbf file only. While it is possible to maintain the SAPBWKEY in Microsoft
Excel or in ArcView, SAP recommends that you use Excel for small amounts.
of data because it is easy to operate.

  • Sync audio with animation

    Hi -
    I'm not sure I can accomplish this with Flash (8 - AS2) so I
thought I'd run it by some experts first.
I have to re-build a 5 minute narrated animation. The
original version is an 800x600 After Effects project, exported as
MOV, then converted into FLV. The file size was so big that I
eventually broke the MOV into 5 "chapters" and made 5 FLVs. The
audio narration was a layer in the AE project and tightly sync'd
with the animation. This worked great except that the
conversion/compression to FLV yielded either very large files or
really crappy looking files. So this time I thought I would make
the animation in Flash, and not use FLVs at all, but I'm in the
dark about how to sync the audio (did I mention it had to match the
animation closely?). In addition to that, the user still must have
Play/Pause/Rewind control that FLVs can provide.
What's the best way to do this? Should I embed the audio into
its own FLA layer or is there a way to lock in a separate AIFF (or
whatever kind of audio format) ? Or maybe this is not the way to go
    at all?
I'd appreciate some expert direction - or warning - before I
tread too far down the wrong path.
    TIA your input.
    d2

If you really need tight synchronization between the visual
and the audio then the best course of action is to use a medium
designed for that. If you decide to use digital video, then you
have a very large range of codecs to use. You should be able to
find one that provides a good looking visual and a reasonable file
    size.
If you must use Flash, then the flv file format is the best
option. You have a very limited set of codecs. You could use
something like Sorenson's Squeeze to do the compression to get
better results than with Flash's built in video tool.
Trying to build your own solution in Flash can be very time
consuming, frustrating and, probably, less than perfect.

  • Sharing a Presentation with animations, but no audio

How do I get a presentation I created without audio but with
animations to display in a Connect meeting so the presenter can
click through it like a Powerpoint? Currently the presentation just
clicks from slide to slide with no animations, so the items that
    I've animated are skipped.
    Help!! We go live tomorrow!

    Casper,
Okay I want to sing the friendly ghost from the show when I see your name.
I burn avi all the time in Toast 7.1.2 Toast and I usually convert them to divx to fit 10-11 hours of video on there, but I've done it with DVD video. A friend lent me a movie once with no sound and here is the problem that will work everytime. You need to download the VLC player to get it to work right. Here is the link: http://www.videolan.org/
Didn't even know they had an intel one as I have the other version on my Powerbook and just transferred it to my intel one. Once it is downloaded you click on the orange striped cone and then you will see a little VLC box come up. The most effective way to view any file is to go to File up top and then scroll to open file (I've down the quick open file too and then you see a open box and a button that says browse next to it. Click the browse and find the movie or divx you want to watch and click open and then okay, then click the play arrow that is on your desktop and viola. You can go up top too and go to video and click full size screen etc.
If this was helpful or solved your problem please click the helpful or solved button up top. If this doesn't work let me know too.

  • Extract Audio Narration Track from Keynote with Voice Over

I just found a way to extract the audio narration track from a keynote I recorded using the voice over feature.
    I used BetterZip.
I right-clicked on my keynote to show the "Open With..." contextual menu. I had the keynote open with BetterZip instead of Keynote and it extracted all the elements of the presentation into a folder. I saw in there several audio tracks.
Now, Keynote did not split the audio tracks into individual slide snippets but that's better than any other technique I have read on this forum so far.
I hope this helps someone in the future.

If you save your Keynotes as a package, then you can right click and +Show Package Content+ and see all the files that make up your Keynote as well. To save your Keynotes as a package go to Preferences and click +Save new documents as packages.+

  • How can I add 3ds Model into After Effects with animation and camera rotation?

    Hi all!
I'm on my way to my final project of Multimedia Animation of my bachelor last year.
I have good knowledge of After Effects & 3ds Max.
I want to do a short movie with aliens being shot down.
So, my question is: How can I import my 3ds model with the animation(keyframes) into After Effects AND rotate the whole character and it's animation as I move the camera?
for example, having a alien being shot down at the same time I'm recording with the HD camera around, that means that I have to define planes and angles, the problem is that I'm not parenting the character correctly with the plane.

Element doesn't do pre-anaimted objects, so that would be the limiting factor. Of course it could still be handy for otehr scene elements. On that note, using AtomKraft and exporting the model as an Alembic file with animation might also be something to look into...

  • How do you match the audio and text with the typer writer effect in Final Cut Pro?

I am making a video and I want to sync up the text with the audio using the typer writer effect.  For example I want when the music makes a bing noise I want a letter to pop up.  How do you set the exact time for each letter that comes up instead of just choosing the duration.
    Thank you!!!!
    Virginia

The most common cause is user error in understanding how these things are recorded in the acquisition system. You've got to first determine in it's easily solved by properly transcoding or if you're actually just seeing a display lag. Mismatched sync is based on different timebase scales so the offset gets worse the longer a clip plays.
The most common solution is to unlink the components, time them precisely to the frame, and change the speed of one component to match precisely the length of the other. It's easy and usually results in a slight pitch change that is indiscernible.
But you want to figure out the cause, not just he solution, so you can fix it in production instead of in post.

  • Unable to backward while synchonize audio with animation.

    Hi there,
Is anyone facing the problem which when you doing the audio synchonize with animation. I make mistake(animation appear wrong timing), with presenter 6, we just pause and move the slider backward to the newly appear animation willl disappear in order to redo it. But In presenter 7, backward of the slider nothing will happen.
This problem very waste of time when you trying to synchonize more than 20 animation with 5mins above of video for each slide.
Please aid me on this problem.

  • Will the m-audio project mix i/o work with Logic X?

    Hi,
    I have a m-audio project mix i/o interface/control surface.
Will this work with Logic X?
    Thanks,
    Mike

If it works now on 10.8.4, then yes. This depends on OS X and drivers (if needed), not on Logic. Logic can only 'see' hardware that the OS can see.

  • Will my m audio Project Mix work with logic x?

Hi, just wondering if my M-Audio Project Mix I/O will work with Logic X. I am currently running Mavericks.

If it works with any other CoreAudio based app on your Mac.. it should work fine with Logic Pro X as the key is .. if it is compatible with your OS X version. Its not about compatibility with Logic Pro X at all in reality... as LPX uses Core Audio which is part of OS X.
So do you have it up and running in 10.9.2 and does it work with any other audio app? If so which one(s)?
If you haven't tried yet, you may be out of luck as the last driver update for your device was way back.. for 10.7.4.... and some people had issues getting to work under Mountain Lion, let alone Mavericks...
