Audio not playing in video after publishing in Presenter 8

I am having a problem in Presenter 8. I add the video to the power point and it plays in power point fine, but once I publish it in Presenter, the audio does not play. Any suggestions. I made sure that the settings were all correct within the Presenter.
In addition, I am having a problem getting any MP4 videos to play within Presenter. Any suggestions for that?

Which player is set as the default for FLV file types?
I have seen similar issues with VLC Player (normally a great software player), but when played in Adobe Flash, or MediaPlayer Classic HC, they played just fine. That is why I was asking about the player program used.
Also, when you run one of the FLV's through MediaInfo, what are the details of the Audio Stream?

Can not play any video after update to 4.4.2, it says always that i have to reconnect my HDMI Cable, reason HDCP error.

I can only view Trailers, every thing else dosn't work any more. I could not play any Video via Airplay. I tried to do it fom my IPhone 4, my IPad 1 and from my MacBook Pro 15"/i7 2 GHz/Mac OS10.7.2.

I reset the divice again and made a restore, but the same error.
I change the HDMI cable, same error.

Playlist not playing all videos after update

I updated to 5.1, and my video playlists are no longer working correctly. It will play the first video, then stop and the screen saver will turn on. If I try to restart the video, I get the spinning circle that never goes away. If I close iTunes and re-open it, I can start the video again, but it will again stop after the first one. Everything was working fine until the last update to 5.1.
Any idea how I can either fix this, or go back to before the last update?

OK, so the second macs library is visible from the tv, you can navigate the videos in that library but when you try to play a video it won't. I'm still not clear whether this is all videos or just some, but meantime try this.
From itunes select a troublesome video, choose file/show in finder and note the location of the original file.
From itunes (not the finder) delete the file and choose keep files when prompted.
Drag the original file from the finder back into itunes.
Does this help.

Audio not playing with video in Pages

I created a document in Pages on the Mac which works fine. When I share it to my iPad the movies loose their audio. Does anyone have any idea what going on or whether or not this issue has been addressed?

In the future, you can do a File > Save as Disc Image when you have completed the iDVD project. The disc image file is small enough to store (compared to the iMovie and iDVD projects). The benefit is that you can burn it as many times as you want, and you'll never have to render the disc again. [The downside being that you can't edit the disc image once you delete the iMovie/iDVD project.]
Since your first set of DVDs worked fine, I suggest you do this now. Make sure you have set Project > Project Info > Best Quality, since your project is over an hour long. Save as disc image. Let iDVD do all the rendering, but not the actual burn. When the disc image is complete you can mount it and play it in your Mac's DVD Player application. Hopefully the sync problem won't be replicated. If the disc image works properly, you can burn it to DVD.

Audio not played for Motion Background

I have created a movie in my NLE as a motion background for a menu in Encore 2.0. When I preview the dvd project after rendering the audio plays fine but when I burn to dvd the audio is missing but the motion video still plays.
Why is this audio not playing on the burned dvd

In what form is the motion background when you bring it into Encore? Is it an avi? Is it compressed?
Is the audio stream a separate file?
If separate, is the audio stream a different length to the video file? Is the audio stream just a .wav file or what?

Safari not playing streaming video

Hi,
For some reason safari 4.3 is not playing streaming video such as that shown on CNN. Also, my Macbook is not playing streaming audio. If any of you folks can help with an answer I'd appreciate the help. I am using 10.61 on both machines.

N86 Not playing any videos,N97 restarts frequently...

My friend's N86 is not playing any videos,even those recored by the phone . Think it's a bug. Also he's not able to update the firmware.
Now it plays the videos with the hard resetting.
Is there any other solution to this problem ?
Hope Nokia will come up with a new Firware update soon as we can't always do the same to play the videos.
A N97 after updating to latest version(updated yesterday) started restarting frequently.The phone started to hang too. What might be the problem ?

it is the 802.11n AEBS
and it does seem to lose network connectivity only when the LinkStation is connected to the AEBS via ethernet (even when the LinkStation isn't turned on).
the only time i can seem to get the AEBS to work properly and consistently is if i go entirely with wireless connectivity and the LinkStation is connected directly to the Mini via ethernet. which isn't my ideal setup

FCP X will not play any video.

FCP X will not play any video. I can skim the audio but can not playback anything. I can move things aroun in the timeline and do everthing else but no play. When I press play or space It will freeze with my favorite beach ball until I force quit. I have deleted all preferences and the app and reinstalled from scratch. Didn't change anything. I was able to export out a project without being able to see it untill the export finished, in full res with no issues.
I am using an Imac 10 with Dual core 3.06ghz and 16gb ram on 10.6.8

Spoke to Apple Rep today: Everything works in a new user. Duh I should have thought of that. He at first was telling me that 256 vram was barely enough to run FCPX and my dual monitors was part of the problem with too many things on the bus 1 usb drive 2 usb printers 1 usb apc, Firewire 400 DVD and Lacie drive, and a Drobo He didn't like the Drobos. Unhooked everything... Didn't help.
He Did say that with A DSLR you must Render on import. Tried that Didn't help. I need tosee if that holds water. Off to figure out my User issues But at least I can get back to work.

Audio not playing out of QT file (kinda) in QT 10.2

So, I called up an old (and large!) HD file I had of a show I produced (ProRes 422, dual, stereo, etc.)
My default QuickTime Player (10.2) pops up... loads the file. I play it... But NO audio plays! (Checked the internal volume, of course.)
Curious. I ingested it into FCPX. But... Sound (and picture) played FINE.
Curiouser... I loaded it into QT7, and the audio played fine THERE, too.
How can I get my audio to show up in QT10? (I'm including a screenshot of the inspector from QT10? There is show 48kHz discrete (stereo) channels.)

Mind giving me a step-by-step on how I actually execute this change in QT7Pro, and... how I "save" same QT file so it'll play as a QT10 file.
One work flow would be:
1) Open the file in the QT 7 Pro app.
2) Open the "Properties" window.
3) Select the audio track and open the "Audio Setting" tab in ther lower half of the "Properties" window.
4) Click the "Channel 1" ("Discrete-0") line in the "Channel/Assignment" window to open the "pop-up" and then select the "Left" channel assignment option.
5) Now do the same for "Channel 2" but select the "Right" channel assignment in the pop-up window option.
6) At this point, the "Channels" entry for the audio track in the top half of the "Poroperties" window should have changed from "2 Discrete Channels"
to read "Stereo (L R) as seen here:
7) Now you have two options for saving the file:
a) Select the "Save" File menu option to save the new channelization settings to the original file or
b) Select the "Save As..." File menu option to leave the original file unchanged and copy all of the data and changed channelization settings to a new filw with a different name. (Note: ProRes422 ref files may or may not play the video in QT X player so I recommend the "Standalone" option here.)
Basically, the first option is very fast but actually modifies the original file while the second option must rewrite all data to a new file which can take much more time.

Just upgraded iTunes (to sync wiht my iphone 5C) -- after a few playbacks the audio stopped playing while video would continue (no issues with music or in any other video playback outside of itunes). I turned off the equalizer, which returned the audio track to syncing with the video, except when i expand to full screen viewing -- the audio gets off track again and never catches up. In looking through user comments this seems a frequent problem for iTunes with Windows, but I have OS X 10.8.3.

Try the following.
First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your Desktop.
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe
When the download has completed, close all browser windows and run the uninstaller. After this has completed, restart the notebook.
Next, download and install Firefox and then using Firefox, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash.
Close all browser windows before running the Flash installer.
Launch Firefox and see if the videos play Ok - if they do, close Firefox, open IE and click on the same Adobe Flash link above to get a prompt to install the ActiveX component. When done, restart IE.

Answers in this forum have shown different things have worked for different people.
For some clearing YouTube cookies and the cache solved the problem. For details of how to do that see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Deleting+cookies and https://support.mozilla.com/kb/How+to+clear+the+cache
Others had to go a step further after deleting YouTube cookies and block YouTube from saving cookies. In the Tools menu select Options to open the Options window. Go to the Privacy panel and make sure it is set to "Use custom setting for history". Click the Exceptions button, type in http://www.youtube.com and click on Block
Another option is to disable hardware acceleration for Flash. To do that right-click on a Flash video, select Settings, go to the first tab of the settings for the option to enable/disable hardware acceleration for Flash. Technically, yes, it should be easy. However with rented videos you may be running into DRM (DIgital rights management) where you may not be allowed to play that video anywhere but on the iPad. The video could have a bit of programming in it that literally tells the HDMI or VGA output not to work.
One way to test the connection, with your ipad's camera, shoot a short video and try to mirror that. If it mirrors and the movie doesn't then it's likely that you're simply not allowed to mirror it. If it doesn't play then there may be something wrong hardware or setting wise.

I found on an other post more informations. The problems is in OS X since Yosemite 10.10.1 it doesn't work, we will have to wait for a new Update form apple (10.10.2) to resolve that issue.
