Audio not working after Updating to Windows 10

I have seen a solution for Windows 8, I have just updated to Windows 10 (from Windows 7), should I try the samething?I have tried different things but if I put ear buds in I have sound but no sound from laptop speakers.

Just to check, are you using Windows 10 Insider Preview (x64) - Build 10162 which is the latest as of this writing?
I don't have a G400s unit here for testing but can you try the following:
1. Check if the audio works fine when using a headphone / external speaker
2. Run Windows Updates to get the latest patch and bug fixes for the OS.
3. Apply the "workaround" fix as discussed in this microsoft article (the fix requires you to limit the "Maximum memory" to 3072 under MSConfig > Boot > Advanced Options ).

What did the F5 key do before? According to your manual in the Action Keys list (page 32-33), that key wasn't tied to anything unless its just for page refresh.
If a Windows update breaks something, the best way I know to correct the problem is to uninstall that update.
OR
You can revert Windows back to an earlier state before the update with a Restore Point provided you didn't turn off that feature. If for some reason it is turned off, you will not be able to revert to that point as one was not created.
After the restore, only install one windows update at a time until you find the culprit and uninstall it. This way you have the other updates installed. YES this can be a long process.

Audio Not Working when updated to Windows 8.1

I had just updated to Windows 8.1 but my audio does not work. the Beats Audio Control Panel does not open and i dont have any sound whats so ever. I have an HP Pavillion 1451 Desktop and have done everything possible to fix this. While trying to help you, I was looking along the same lines as you were (I assume).
I did a search by the IDT 92HD73E audio codec and all I could find were drivers for system boards with Intel processors such as the driver you tried unsuccessfully.
I have finally found a W8.1 driver for that codec from a desktop PC with an AMD processor and chipset.
See if this one works...

Touchscreen is not working after updates on Windows

Hi
My touchscreen stopped working after the Windows updates on my laptop froze. I have went through all the settings of the pen and touch and others to resolve this problem and unfortunately it is still not working. I have also rebooted the laptop to factory settings as well as updating all the things which needed to updated and updated softwares from the HP website recommended and I have updated the BIOS but still the touchscreen is not functioning.

Internet browsers do not work after updating to Windows 8.1.

I have spent several hours researching my issue, performing fixes that have worked for others, but to no avail. I have talked with 3rd party tech supports, in addition to Microsoft tech support. I also recently spent 3 hours under remote access with a helpdesk
employee. To no avail.
My issue:
Recently updated to Windows 8.1. Immediately following, none of my browsers work. Internet Explorer is entirely out of commission. Firefox and Chrome, however, interestingly, are able to open simple google pages: gmail, google maps, google search - I can
even search things that I want and results will show up... they just will not load if I click on them. The error message when I click on "More" says something along the lines of "maybe it's your firewall or antivirus wrongly detecting Chrome...",
and I think maybe something similar for Firefox. Explorer simply says that it cannot display the page.
So, how am I writing this? I am currently booted up in Safe Mode, with networking. Apparently it works here, which I'm hoping indicates that the issue to resolvable.
Remedies I have attempted:
I have restarted my computer over 60 times in the past 2 days.
I have troubleshooted the internet connection via the button that says "troubleshoot". It says it cannot identify the problem.
I have executed various command prompts executed as administrator: i.e. netsh winsock refresh, advfirewall refresh, something to do with ipv4, ipv6, a bunch of "IP stack resets", etc, etc.
I have manually added chrome, firefox, and explorer to my firewall exceptions, both via McAfee and via the Windows firewall system. Both simultaneously, one at a time, etc, every combination of this.
I have uninstalled the web browsers and reinstalled them.
I have unintalled my antivirus and reinstalled it, and checked in between.
I have turned my firewall off.
I have manually inputted some kind of DNS address (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) and/or IP address (forget exactly what was asked of me to input).
I have gone to my "Manage Devices" and updated all of my network drivers, and attempted to revert to old versions of drivers.
There are probably more things that I have tried, I just don't remember exactly and cannot list them. Most things you can find on Google pertaining to this issue, I've tried.
Is there anything at all that anyone can think of to fix this situation? I am about ready to refresh my computer/do a systems restore/whatever to erase everything, factory reset, even (hopefully it works, because I've read that some people have issue, i.e.
no previous partition found or something, or no recovery media present, etc, etc).
Before I resign to this, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HELP ME.
Also, may I please note here that given the sheer frequency of this issue around the web that I've found, I think it is absolutely ridiculous and irresponsible of Microsoft not to rectify the issue. This is even 3+ months following the release of the
update; I always lag on updating such that bugs like these are fixed before I get on the train. This update has essentially reduced my multi-hundred dollar computer to an infantile calculator/solitaire/checkers/Microsoft office LCD screen. Not to mention wasted
2 full days of my time.
Sorry, just saw red there at the end and had to vent my anger. Please help.

I can imagine the inconvenience you have experienced. I will try to help you in fixing the issue.
Please test this issue in the Clean Boot environment to check if there is some conflicts with network.
If the issue disappears in the Clean Boot environment, we can use a 50/50 approach to quickly narrow down which entry is causing the issue.

Powerdvd 12 not working after update to windows 8.1

My notebook came loaded with windows 8 and powerdvd 12 to drive the DVD drive. After I accepted an update of windows 8 to 8.1, powerdvd 12 would no longer run. I have restored the system back to factory setting and have been told that the Hp support site has a free upgrade for powerdvd that makes it compable with 8.1. I can't find any free update can anyone point me in the right direction? Or have I been given duff info?

Internet switch not working after update to Windows 10 64bit

Today i updated my Windows 7 laptop to the Windows 10 Home 64bit OS. Everything seems to work fine, except the WIFI. Windows does find my adapter, but won't wake it up. My built-in wifi button (f12) has got a red light on it, even when I pressed it. I tried the Windows 8 wireless button driver, but i didn't solve my problem. With that driver installed the button switches between airplanemode on/off. Not between WIFI. Also in the WIFi settings wifi turn off. When I try to switch it on, it directly turns back to "off". Wired internet works flawless. I gues it's an driver issue, so i was wondering if there is an driver upcomming? Or is there another solution to switch it on.Please help me. It's very annoying.

1. Instal Windows 8 wireless button driver
2. Preform a hard reset
3. Reboot system
4. Boot tot BIOS, load the defaults
5. The wifi buttons works.

Iconia Tab 8 W Touch not working after update to Windows 10

So, I have an Iconia Tab 8 W which came with Windows 8.1. I updated to Windows 10 but there seems to be some issue with the default graphic card driver since the touch doesn't work (works during the installation process so it's not a hardware problem). I managed to plug it into a powered USB hub and get a classic mouse-keyboard setup working but the touch is still dead. I found drivers on the ACER website but not only do they not have any sort of "setup" or "install" file, the Graphic Card doesn't show at all on the device manager. So, the "update driver" option is not an option. I've tried reverting to Windows 8.1 but the place where this option should be doesn't show it. I can only clean up the PC or boot into safe mode. Tried both, none works. As a last resort, I downloaded the Windows 8.1 media creation tool and booted into it to reinstall Windows 8.1 but now it asks me for the Windows key which is no where to be found. Anybody got any ideas?

IIRC the touch driver and te graphics driver are two quite different things. The touchscreen digitizer looks to the system like a USB device, so a problem would show up in Device Manager either as a USB problem or a HID problem. Try W10 again but this time look into the different secions of DM for the issue.

We did three things at the same time, which between them fixed it:1. Installed the Intel Chipset drivers for Windows 10 (from Lenovo's support site)2. Did a HARD/FULL SHUTDOWN (hold SHIFT when clicking shutdown), bypassing Windows fast hybrid shutdown.3. Accessed the BIOS, turned Wi-Fi setting in the BIOS off and on and saved settings (there's a button on the side to access the BIOS) I suspect the combination of 1 and 2 fixed it (with the FULL shutdown being key!), because I can't see just accessing the BIOS doing much, but thought I would list all 3 just in case! Blu-ray does not work after update to windows 7

Hi, couple months ago I have installed windows 7 on my HP Pavilion dv5-1070ew (previously there was pre-installed Vista). I've installed the newest version of HP MediaSmart DVD (4.0.3822) downloaded right from HP.com but unfotunately, when I'm inserting a BLU-RAY Disc it's not being played. HP MediaSmart DVD opens and it writes that "Disc is ready to play" (so it is able to see the disc), but when I click button "Play", the monitor starts to wink for a while and then nothing happens...

I would suggest downloading trial version of cyberlink power DVD from here http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/trials/powerdvd/download_en_US.html?affid=2581_853_290_12410_0_EN... and check if we till have the same issue.
But before doing that, I hope after the change of OS, you have installed all the required drivers like chipset, graphic, etc....

ValentinT, welcome to the forum.
There are no drivers available for Windows 8. I suggest checking in the Control Panel/Sound/Recording to assure that your microphone is selected. It seems that the Sound is one area that gets changed when updating to Win 8.1. At least, this is what happened to me.

I understand the touch screen on your notebook is not detected after updating to Windows 8.1.
This would be the best place to start: Troubleshooting Touch Screen Issues in Windows 8. This is a great document that covers touchscreen issues from start to finish. Do not be alarmed that it states the document pertains to TouchSmart PC's, as the steps are the same.
It would also help to know which product you are using so I can give you more detailed information, such as driver downloads.

Print size in Photoshop CC does not work after updating

Print size in Photoshop CC does not work after updating, it was working fine before but now when I click to go to print size either from the menu of right chicking when the hand tool is selected, the image just zooms right out until it is a tiny little box in the centre of the screen, no good what so ever, as I say it was working fine before the update.
I am using window 7 with 8 gb of ram and an I7 with a 1GB graphics card.
Can anyone help please?

Check the Image>Image Size and see what the print size is supposed to to be for the open document.
Also, resetting the photoshop cc preferences might fix it.
