I have an issue with a sequence. When exported there is no audio, just a sound that sounds like like a computer machine gun, a repetitive rat a tat tat. Tried different computers and codecs with same result. Audio is fine while editing and haven't ran into this one before.

The batterys the ipods come with are very sensetive somtimes they dont react right to the first couple of charges. Try fully charging it and then leaving it on until its completely drained a few times. If that doesnt work it might be a lemon.

  • Audio export sounds like its in a tin cup

I have exported my project multiple times with different settings but each results in sounding like its in a tin cup, or sounds like its from  a cheap cell phone.  I imported the audio into audition and exported it to my desktop and it sounded fine but if I use premire it ruins the audio.  It just started doing this in the past few days and I haven't changed anything that I am aware of. Please any help would be great as this is for my employment!

The audio like you mentioned "sounds like it's from a cheap cell phone" only happens when you cut out the top end and low end frequencies, which clearly looks like a work of an EQ (or any other similar) plugin. Are you sure you heard the exported audio on your desktop and it sounded normal? If yes, then make sure the audio track in premiere doesn't have any effects on it. Also make sure your audio jack's inserted properly. Also listen to something else and see how that sounds just to make sure your speakers/headphones didn't snap.

  • Audio on video files sounds fine but actual video won't play

Just bought a new laptop last week w/ windows vista on it, downloaded itunes and purchased a legitimate (i.e. direct from NBC) tv show - the audio sounds fine, but the video locks up on the first frame when I go to play it. I can fast forward to any spot in the show, but the video keeps freezing wherever I choose to play it. have tried numerous solutions found on the website, gone to my local apple store and emailed apple support and nothing has solved the problem yet....I even upgraded the computer's memory a few days ago thinking that might be the issue and it wasn't. anybody have any advice?
    thank you!!!

  • Midi export sounds like a bunch of pianos...

So I'm trying to export a project I made as a MIDI to share with my friend, and every part (guitars, drums, bass) has been exported with the instrument set to the piano.
How do I get Logic to export a Midi file sans piano?
(P.S., This is Logic Express 9 I'm working with should anyone ask)

What kind of instrument or software does your friend use? This thing isn't a bug or a problem. For the MIDI part of it to work, just insert Program Change numbers representing the corresponding instruments in the very beginning of each track. See the GM (General MIDI) specifications or MIDI Implementation Charts for Logic's Instruments to figure out what PC numbers you need to insert.
An alternative way is not to do anything with the project but just to describe to your friend what instruments are supposed to be playing on which track.

  • Audio output using Logitech Clearchat Pro USB headset sounds like chipmunks

I use a Logitech Clearchat USB headset for online meetings daily. On my previous machine (Black MacBook 2GHz) the headphones and mic worked fine. I just upgraded to a new 2.66 Unibody MacBook Pro and while the microphone works fine but the audio in the headphones sounds like chipmunks. If I switch the audio output to the speakers, the audio sounds fine.
Logitech claims that since the drivers the headphones use are built-in, it's not their issue. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this problem and how I might be able to get it resolved.
    Thanks.

' orangehat I sincerely hope you (we?) get an answer on this one! I ordered exactly the same headset the same time I did my 17-inch MBP. Still waiting for everything to be delivered - so can't say as yet whether I have the problem too. Hoping not.
' Hoping there's an answer to your question anyways so I can get an idea of things before my kit lands (IF that EVER actually HAPPENS!!!)

  • Distorted Audio -- not clipped or in the red but sounds like its both

I have a audio-distorted interview that sounds like its in the red-- but its not and is clean of clipping -- what could be the problem?

One more question-- if I have interviews where the audio peaks above 12 and are also too low to hear in the same clip-- how can I mediate that? Is there an effect that normalizes both without going through with the pen tool and bringing up lows/bringing down highs?
Mmm...some clarity's required here.  When you say 'peaks above 12' are you talking about peaks during playback above -12 dB on the Audition meter?  If so, there's nothing wrong with that - that's pretty normal.  When you say 'too low to hear in the same clip' are you talking about too low to hear it when it's being recorded, or too low to hear afterward when you play it back?  If it's peaking at -12 dBFS, you should be able to hear it completely clearly.

  • Streaming Flash content (audio and video) problem

My Mac Pro can't play audio or video on sites like MySpace and YouTube. I get the spinning wheel on Safari and Firefox, meaning I have to Force Quit every time. My Powerbook works fine in this respect, so it can't surely be a network/isp problem.
I've posted in all the forums I can find and no-one has been able to help.
Firstly, is this a software or hardware issue?
I've repaired permissions booting from the install disk and that hasn't helped. Don't know what else to do. I'm loathed to reinstall all the apps on the system drive unless I definitely have to...

Should I trash the Flash Player and install from scratch, or is that pointless?
    No, it's advisable.
It is suggested that you first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
You should also ensure that you have downloaded and installed the correct version for your Mac of Security Update 2009-001 (and for Tiger only, 2009-002). (N.B. Security Updates require both a restart and a permission repair.)
The latest version of Adobe FlashPlayer can be obtained from here:

(You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.

  • Cartridge holder makes a sound like a machine gun when it moves to the right just before printing

Product is HP Deskjet 4440 all in one.  OS is Windows XP.
When the cartridge holder goes clear to the right just before printing it makes a loud noise like a machine gun just before it starts printing.  It prints fine.  But sounds like the cartridge holder is sticking and makes this machine gun like sound.

    Hi @gramdeb,
I see by your post that the carriage makes a loud noise when it moves to the right, but you can still print. I can help you with this.
I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Remove and reinsert the cartridges, to make sure that they are correctly installed in the unit.
I have provided this document for different areas of the printer to check for any obstructions or broken parts in the carriage path. 'Paper Jam' Message Displays on the Computer. Disregard the title.
Did you just change out any of the cartridges?
If you need further assistance, just let me know.
    Have a nice day!

  • When I record video on my iphone 4 the audio sounds like it is muffled and is not as loud as it should be?

when I record video on my iphone 4 the playback of the audio sounds like it is muffled and is not as loud as it should be? I have had the phone for 2 years and the last time I had used it to record a video was in July of this year. The sound came out crisp and clear. Now when ever I play back videos the audio is muffled and at a lower volume than it should sound like. I have the volume set all the way up when I record and my hands are not covering the microphone and/or near to affect the audio playback.

It worked!!!!! Thank you. I didn't know there was a microphone at the top. I knew the hole was there but I didn't know what it was for. Thank you so much. \m/ ROCK ON!!

  • G510g sounds like a machine gun when it cycles

G510g sounds like a machine gun when it cycles.  Can't see anything jammed in the printer.  Seems to be behind the ink cartridges.
Prints just fine and doesn't make the noise when printing only when the cartridges cycle and stop

    Hi csterlin,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
When the printer makes the loud noise like a machine gun or the grinding noise, this is usually caused by one of two things. Either you have very small piece of paper caught under the carriage or it is due to a power issue.
Please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.
