Audio only plays once on rollover after imported into muse.

Hey guys I made a little button which pops up when you roll over it and a beep plays, it works in the edge preview but when imported into muse and previewed it only plays the audio once.... the animation repeats but the sound doesn't. The sound is part of the button symbol timeline. and it is set to play.
My actions are on the main stage, on roll over play 'about_button'
Thanks for any help with this it's driving me mad....

  • Is there a way to have audio only play once in Adobe Cp 6?

    I have a project that includes a click box.  If the learner click OUTSIDE the click box then a failure caption comes up with audio.  I'd like to have that audio play only once, even if they continue to click outside the click box.  Right now, if they keep clicking outside the click box, the audio will start playing and I will have multiple instances of the audio playing (and soon it sounds like a cocktail party).  How can I correct this?

    Hi there,
    If you want that the audio should play once after clicking that is possible, but after clicking outside it will replay that audio, but only one instance of audio will be there.
    You can Insert two click boxes and One will cover the whole Slide (Incorrect ) and Other will be inside that click box (for correct region). Then You can apply standard actions on these click boxes when clicked, and include an action to stop triggered audio and another action to play the Audio.
    Like below I added two click boxes and two text captions, Text Captions are not visible in output, they will only be visible after clicking the respective click box:
    The advanced action on correct click box and shows the correct Caption and plays the audio for correct:
    The advanced action on incorrect click box and shows the incorrect Caption and plays the audio for incorrect.
    You can also change the attempts on that click box, by default it is infinite:
    Is this what you want? please reply.

  • Audio only plays once

    I am trying to convert some VCD clips to dv files in order to edit them in FCP and burn to a DVD. This is the sequence of conversions etc. that I perform:
    Step 1. Use VCDGearX to convert the (VCD)DAT to mpg. The resultant file plays fine in QuickTime.
    Step 2. Use ffmpegX to convert the mpg file to DV, using all the default settings. Resultant file plays fine with QuickTime.
    Step 3. Import DV file into Final Cut Pro 4. DV file imports OK and audio plays once only. Thereafter I cannot hear the audio, and no audio waveform can be seen, even after rendering.
    If I quit FCP and reopen, the audio will play only once again.
    Can anyone tell me what is happening, how I can get the audio and the waveform to appear as it should.

  • Audio only plays when started from the beginning?

         Hi! I'm fairly new to flash, i'd consider myself a beginner, but recently i've been tasked with making an animation for someone! There is a song playing in the animation, it's a wav and it's on its own layer. There are also drawings i imported in too.
         My problem is, i want to be able to sync up the little drawings to the words of the song, but the audio only plays when i start at 0 on the timeline. If i were to start at let's say frame 24, it won't play. Does anyone know how to fix this? This commission needs to be finished by Wednesday and it's a S L O W process, having to start it over only to hear like one or two words later on

    change the sync property (in the properties panel after clicking the keyframe where your sound starts) from event to stream.  retest.

  • Making sound only play once.

    Hey guys!
    I'm new to the fourms, quick question the site i'm currently helping out with has an audio clip that gets loaded in through xml, I want this to only play once and then halt, but if the user wanted to click on the volume button it could start on up again without a hassle...
    take a look, let me know your thoughts.
    thanks guys.
    here's the link:  www.manitobah.ca

    well, right now it plays but we just want it to play once, then stop instead of continuiously looping if you know what I mean?

  • How come this sound only plays once?

    Here is a program that illustrates what I am doing:
    import java.io.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    import java.awt.event.*;
    import javax.sound.sampled.*;
    public class soundApp extends JFrame
        JButton button;
        Clip clip;
        public soundApp()
            setDefaultCloseOperation(EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
            setSize(300,300);
            File file = new File("tada.wav");
            try
                AudioInputStream audiosource = AudioSystem.getAudioInputStream(file);
                DataLine.Info info =
                    new DataLine.Info(Clip.class, audiosource.getFormat());
                clip = (Clip)AudioSystem.getLine(info);
                clip.open(audiosource);
            catch(UnsupportedAudioFileException e){}
            catch(LineUnavailableException e){}
            catch(IOException e){}
            button = new JButton("Play sound");
            button.addActionListener(new ActionListener() {
            public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e){
                if(e.getActionCommand().equals("Play sound"))
                    clip.start();   //HERE IS WHERE I START IT....sorry for caps.
            Container contentpane = getContentPane();
            contentpane.add(button);
            setVisible(true);
      public static void main(String[] args)
          soundApp soundapp = new soundApp();
    }How come the clip only plays once?

    well the answer is simple, because once the clip will stop the sound will stop too. you have not used any loop or anything that shows that the clip should go on forever. you can give some condition like play the clip unless some other button is pressed or some othe action is performed or so on. just use while or any or iterative or conditional statement to get your ay out.

  • QuickTime will only play ONCE

    Running QT (latest version) on a WinXPsp2 machine.
    Every time we run QT content from a website, it will run once but not run again. There is no error, just unresponsiveness. If we close the browser and reacquire the webpage, it works again ... once. Updating did not help.
    Any ideas?

    Unfortunately this will not help you much, but I discovered this problem on my XP Media Center box AND my Vista laptop. It happened around the same time. All of a sudden, QT movies would only play once. I'd close the browser and it would work again, just once. I use Safari and Firefox as well...guess what, they both work fine. So there is a work around...don't use IE. I do get a QT plugin error though, it says the plugin did not initialize. Seeings that it used to work fine and stopped on both machines at the same time, I'm assuming it was some update, but using Safari or Firefox is quicker and easier than troubleshooting IE...

  • 2nd audio track at 12-bit lost when importing into FCE?

    I have got some DV-tapes with finalised movies which I would like to import into FCE for a) applying some enhancements and b) then burning them onto DVD. These movies once were created with FCE but after they had been exported to DV-tape (in 12-bit manner) some additional audio was added, directly via camcorder. The issue which I have got now is that although I can easily re-import these movies into FCE, the additional audio does not appear in FCE. Also, when directly checking the imported files in FCE's Capture Scratch by using the Quicktime Player the additional audio is not there.
    I tried importing into iMovie and here (as opposed to FCE) the complete audio is available, both the audio originally composed via FCE and the additional audio which has been added afterwards via camcorder. Unfortunately iMovie will crash multiple times at importing due to the large number of individual clips, btw this is the reason why I once had to give up working with iMovie and bought FCE.
    Anybody has an idea how I can import into FCE the movies along with the entire audio, or is this a weak point in FCE? In case of the latter, anybody has an idea for a workaround?

    "Do you have an idea how to fumble out the 2nd audio pair at a Sony TVR900 i.e. how to proceed corresponding to your advice "configure the camera to ouput the second stereo pair to another DV camera with it's audio set to match the existing"? Or did I misunderstand your advice? The user manual of the Sony camcorder is ridiculously poor.."
    The user manual of course is the best (should be) place to go for info on how to operate your camera. Might be one of those direct to English translations.
    My idea is to use a camera that can access the 2nd stereo pair seperately. Then dub to another camera. Usually this is done via a switch or menu system.
    That's where that camera manual comes (should) in handy. Also, some cameras allow you to MIX the four tracks, if this feature is available, you could dub the MIXED audio (all four tracks) to another camera.
    "e.g. iMovie (provided it does not crash)? Because then I could capture the missing audio pair 2 like that in a separated manner and import it into FCE?"
    iMovie to FCE is not my first choice as the importing is accompanied with quirks of all sorts, the audio is multiplexed with the video, the audio will always need to be rendered as well. Use it as a last resort IMO.
    I have have heard of third party applications that can do this job, sorry, can't recall the details.

  • Image Corrupted After Import into LR4?

    Several times now I've imported images into LR4 from my External HD and and a few the files are corrupted. (See attached image)
    I realize that LR is not suppose to do anything to the files on the disk when importing... but I've checked the RAW images from back-ups and they are not corrupted prior to import into LR. AFTER import into LR the actual file (on the external HD) IS corrupted in both LR and then on the External HD.
    My workflow has been to copy files from my CF  Card to the External HD (Western Digital 3 TB) ino the appropriate file... then go to LR4 and import.
    Can anyone suggest what the problem is?  I replaced the Card Reader... same problem occurs.  I've checked numerous RAW files in Bridge... none are shown as corrupted (prior to LR4 import)

    The corruption may or may not be “sudden”.  If things look ok in Library then it happened sometime between initial preview building during import and you’re viewing the image in Develop.   If the last place things looked ok was in the Import thumbnail grid, then that is only showing the camera-embedded previews, so the images may be corrupted on the card, already.
    The most important thing is to determine what the problem is, where the corruption comes from, so you can fix it.  It could be the camera, the card, the camera-to-computer USB cable, the card-reader, the usb-slot, the computer-memory, the computer hard-drive, the USB-drivers, LR, itself, or some other software, like Microsoft Security Essentials has caused problems for some people in the past, although why is not really understood.
    If the corruption is still occurring with the latest images, then you can experiment by changing one or more of the components mention above, and see if things are ok or still corrupted.
    As far as recovery, if part of the image data is missing or zeroed out overwritten with random junk, there’s no way to get that bad data, back, from the existing file because the files, themselves, only have one copy of the data.
    The three things I can think of to suggest are:
    1)      If the preview in Library doesn’t show the corruption then there are ways to retrieve the previews from the LR preview cache as JPGs.  This isn’t the same as the RAW data, but is better than nothing.
    2)      If the camera-embedded preview has not been damaged—it is typically stored in front of the raw data so depending on where the damage is, it could be intact, then there are ways to extract the camera-embedded preview from the raw file, which again is better than nothing.
    3)      The best thing is if you have a backup of the images that don’t show the corruption, either because the images are still on the card, or because you made a backup during import and the corruption happened sometime after import, then you could copy those over the top of the corrupted files and be ok.
    These things may or may not be possible depending on your situation, though.  If you don’t have any backups that are ok, and LR’s previews are bad, and the in-camera preview is tiny or also damaged, then you’ll entirely out of luck for those images.  And things maybe really bad if it’s the hard-drive that’s failing and you have no backups of your images, there, either.  It is important to determine what is wrong, and with the least effect on the images that are still good.

  • Help! Photoshop edited jpg color distorts when imported into Muse

    Okay, so I am trying to build a photography webpage (among others) and I edit most of my photos in photoshop. All photos that I edit in photoshop and save to jpg, look great when printed, uploaded to facebook, etc. however when I import them into Adobe Muse for and put them on my webpage, the colors of the photos become desaturated and/or slightly distorted (so that they look dull). When I edit images in lightroom and save them as jpg and import them into Muse, they look fine, but colors edited in photoshop seem to mess up my photos when imported into Muse.
    What am I doing wrong?!
    Susan

    You are using some odd color management settings and not converting to sRGB most likely... Check your settings in PS itself and the Save for Web dialog and experiment around.

  • Flash audio only stream fails in IE after several successful plays

    We have several audio only Flash streams that are internet radio stations playing from this page:
    http://www.cbn.com/radio/
    We've discovered a bug that only happens in IE.  When you click each station and open them up, they will play fine until you get to about 7 or 8 attempts.  After that, any time you try to listen to another stream, the player just says "Loading".  Refreshing the page does not help.  You have to close the page completely and then reopen it before any of the streams will start to work again.
    This problem does not happen in Firefox.  In fact, once IE has gone into failure, I can leave IE running and open Firefox and everything will be working fine.
    Not sure where the bug might be or how to work around it, but it's quite irritating.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Jeremy,
    We'll most likely need to see the code that goes with these players.  Could you please open a new bug report on this over at bugbase.adobe.com?  Please post back with the URL so that others affected can add their comments and votes.

  • Itunes does not play after importing into timeline

    I have looked at similar topics in this discussion forum but still unable to get the answers.Basically the problem is that after importing (purchased) itunes(6) music(and it imports OK)there is no music when played back in the time line.In the imovie palette (audio view) the itunes music plays normally.CD is also greyed out even if there is a CD in the CD drive,so obviously CD tracks cannot be played.Itunes 'by itself' plays normally and CD is also recognised.Voice overs thru microphone,original audio from footage also plays normally.All boxes ticked on the right/computer volume set to high etc so setting seems allright.I am using formac studio to import analogue footage and can hear the original sound when importing.Using imovie 3.03 on ibook.this may/maynot be relevant-on the G3 imac in imovie(3.03)the itunes/CD tracks imports and plays on the timeline,however the original footage soundtrack sounds like gunfire from a machine gun.It is normal with the imported itunes soundtrack switched off.

    Hi rav - are you sure that if you have a CD installed you cannot see its tracks in the Audio Pane? Even though 'Audio CD' is greyed out, the contents of the CD are still there and accessible.
    Can you convert the track to mp3 format? iMovie does accept mp3s. Doing so might break the deadlock.

  • Audio Only Plays for 10 Secs in Q.T Pro

    I am running Quick Time Pro 7.01 and the audio is only playing for about 10 seconds. I havn't tried all audio file types but am having problems with 24 bit, 44.1kHz AIF and WAVs. I have had NO problems from using Version 6, so obviously is a problem with Version 7.
    Any help greatly appreciated!

  • After import into iPhoto, originals disappear and only thumbnails remain

    After importing photos into iPhoto, working on them and then closing iPhoto, when reopening iPhoto only the thumbnails remain and can't find the originals anywhere on the computer via a Spotlight. Ran Disk Utility and no problems found on HD. Have rebuilt the iPhoto Library. This has happened on multiple occasions.

    Here's a little more background on this problem. JPGs originally were imported from a CD and had camera given filenames, like 20110428-DSC_0118.jpg. After the import into iPhoto the application was closed. The next day when iPhoto was opened and any of the just imported photos doubled click on, a dialog box similar to this appeared that changed with the different file names:
    I did a little research and discovered that the camera that had given filenames were identical to those by a different group of photos from a different camera that already resided in the iPhoto Library! So I imported them again from the CD except this time I used the utility, Better Finder Renamer 8, to batch change the names to something completely different, like Mary_Spring_2011_Visit_001.jpg, and so on. Those were imported into iPhoto. iPhoto was closed and opened and everything was OK. The next day iPhoto was opened and the newly imported photos when double clicked, the same exact dialog box as above opened and the only newly named photos that could be found were the thumbnails. None of the original full-res images can be found doing a Spotlight search of the entire computer. So to answer your second question the same dialog box shows up. I'm confounded as to where they are going. Plus, why would the original filename that was changed be showing up in the dialog box?? That is why Disk Utility was run to see if there was any directory damage. But no problems were found.
