Audio only records from one side

I am using a firewire solo...when I try to record guitar or mic through it into logic it only records on the left side (no sound coming from right)...
Doesn't happen in Garage Band.
Thoughts?

Well, first, make sure you are aware of what channel you are using on your interface. Then go to I/O in the track pannel in logic that you wish to use. Make sure it coressponds to the appropriate channel. MONO.

  • Audio only coming out one side of headphone port - Retina MBP

    I bought a retina MBP a few months ago, and suddenly the headphone port only outputs to the right side. It does it with anything I plug in to it, so it's definitely not the speakers/headphones. It's also not the balance slider in the system preferences > sound menu.
    Does this mean it's a hardware problem? I'd hate to have to send it in for repair, but this is driving me crazy.
    Thanks for any help!
    edit: I've also already reset the SMC to no avail.

    System Preferences > Accessibility > Sound
    Make sure that "Play stereo as mono" is not enabled.
    Headphone jack fits in snug in the port?
    Tried resetting PRAM?
    If these steps do not help, you may have to contact Apple.
    Best.

  • IPSEC Only starting from one side (Spoke side)

    Hi,
    I have a hub and spoke setup with IPSEC.
    If interesting traffic comes from the spoke, the IPSEC SA starts and works perfectly. However, once the link idles out and there is no more traffic, the hub shows this with the sh crypto isa sa command
    196.47.133.38   185.20.242.61   QM_IDLE           1017 ACTIVE
    sh cryp ips sa peer 196.47.133.38 shows nothing at all.
    I have checked my routing and NAT deny's to make sure that is not the issue.
    I then checked the crypto ACL's when i send traffic, i see the crypto ACL's are incrementing correctly but still the SA wont activate. If i look at the ipsec debug i also see nothing.
    I am using a dynamic map with each spoke end on its own ACL, as follows;
    crypto dynamic-map dynmap 5
    set peer 111.116.206.92
    set transform-set des-transform
    match address 171

    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Alan

    Here you go Sachin
    Edge routers are 1801's
    Hub is a 2811
    Edge ACL's are a mirror of what is in the ACL's associated to each map line
    As far as I can see the default route is correct and that all the crypo traffic should not be NAT'd or go elsewhere but hit po1.100 on the way out.
    Symptoms are that a person pinging from say 10.192.112.5 (spoke) to the dest 10.192.40.10 (hub) will work perfectly, but the same user 10.192.112.5 wont be able to ping 10.192.73.10 (spoke) or 10.192.113.5 (spoke)

  • In-ear headphones playing audio from one side only

    My apple in-ear headphones only play audio from one side.  I've tried replacing the cap and mesh; and also tested the headphones on different devices and still get the same problem.  Any advice?

    Probably time to have them replaced.

    I have two SID, one is AAA and another is BBB and the connection name is A1 and B1 respectively. I want to run one select query from A1 connection to fetch record B1. Can anyone help me how I can connect from one SID to another SID?

    Hi 869357,
    You can also use the copy command. (Works with limited types)
    try:

  • Stupidly only recorded onto one audio channel  when filming.

    I stupidly only recorded to one audio channel when filming. Is there any way to get imovie to duplicate the recorded track onto the other channel?

    I think if you open your video in Quicktime Pro you will be able to save as mono audio with both channels the same.

  • I can only hear sound from one side of the head phone

    I've plug in my bass guitar through a cord and a converter in the line in port on my PC. Then checked 'listen to this device' (head phone) which is connected properly as it worked perfectly when I play any sound in ma PC. But when I play my guitar, I can
    only hear it from one side of the head phone. How to fix it!?

    Is that compatible to give output from both sides (R + L) ? Can you check same thing on other system ?

  • TS2771 only getting sound from one side of the headset.  Any fixes available?

    I have an used Ipod touch.  When i connect a headset, i only sound from one channel.  Any fixes out there?

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
    Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.
    Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
    Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

    A third-party place like the following will replace the jack for less. Google for more.

  • Re: Transferring records from one request to another.

    Hi Guys,
    Currently the pseudo delta is loaded with posting date selection as two months(say, may and june- 2 lakh records).
    Every two months once we do full update (3 million records).
    every day we delete the delta request and load data, the full load request will be available.
    for some reason, i want to move few data available in the delta request to full update request. bcoz i have done changes in the routine level, which adds up new record to dso. I want to move these added records to full update request. Bcoz the delta request is deleted daily and loaded. I dont wnat my changes to be executed daily. Bcoz the changes i done in routine level takes more time to complete the dtp.
    Is it possible to move selected records from one request to another? If yes, i will move the record to full update and revert the routine change. so that my data load will be faster.
    Regards,
    Anand

  • How to exclude records from one table that is contained in a second table

    I am trying to create a Crystal report that excludes records from one Table that is contained in a second table using the != link option and it is not working. I've tried all of the different enforce options, and it is still not excluding those records. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I'm doing wrong or any other suggestions how I can obtain the results I need?
    Thanks in advance!

    Have you tried by Command ?
    Thanks,

  • Can only connect from one direction

    I'm having trouble video confrencing... I tried searching the forums, but I'm having trouble thinking of clever search terms.
    I can only connect from one direction with one person. They can invite me to a chat and it works fine every time. However when I invite them it always fails. I can invite other people and it works fine though.
    This doesn't seem like a typical router problem, because they can invite me and we videochat just fine.
    This has been a problem for most versions of iChat that I can remember, but I'm using 3.1.5 currently.

    Hi
    Is the other person a PC user.

  • Sql query to bring single record from right side of a table

    hi
    I have two tables as below:
    create table testsh1 ( idd varchar2(10), name varchar2(20));
    create table testsh2 ( idd varchar2(10), balance float );
    insert into testsh1 values('1','abc');
    insert into testsh1 values('2','def');
    insert into testsh1 values('3','ghi');
    insert into testsh1 values('4','jkl');
    insert into testsh1 values('4','jkl');
    insert into testsh1 values('3','ghi');
    insert into testsh2 values('1',500);
    insert into testsh2 values('1',500);
    insert into testsh2 values('3',1000);
    insert into testsh2 values('3',1000);
    insert into testsh2 values('4',1500);
    insert into testsh2 values('4',1500);
    insert into testsh2 values('1',500);
    I am expecting the result below:
    1 abc 500
    2 def NULL
    3 ghi 1000
    3 ghi 1000
    4 jkl 1500
    4 jkl 1500
    That is only records from testsh1 table can come as many times but from testsh2 only we need to bring unique and matching records on column idd.
    Please help
    Thanks

    Hi Shavetha,
    As the testsh2 has duplicates of each record, the DISTINCT of the record has to be record has to be applied.
    Please Try this,
    SELECT IDD, NAME, (SELECT DISTINCT BALANCE
                                  FROM TESTSH2 B
                                 WHERE B.IDD = A.IDD) BALANCE
      FROM TESTSH1 A;Which Outputs:
    IDD     NAME     BALANCE
    1     abc     500
    2     def
    3     ghi     1000
    4     jkl     1500
    4     jkl     1500
    3     ghi     1000Thanks,
    Shankar

  • Select records from one database and insert it into another database

    Hi
    I need to write a statement to select records from one database which is on machine 1 and insert these records on a table in another database which is on machine 2. Following is what I did:
    1. I created the following script on machine 2
    sqlplus remedy_intf/test@sptd @load_hrdata.sql
    2. I created the following sql statements in file called load_hrdata.sql:
    rem This script will perform the following steps
    rem 1. Delete previous HR data/table to start w/ clean import tables
    rem 2. Create database link to HR database, and
    rem 3. Create User Data import table taking info from HR
    rem 4. Drop HRP link before exiting
    SET COPYCOMMIT 100
    delete from remedy.remedy_feed;
    commit;
    COPY FROM nav/donnelley@hrp -
    INSERT INTO remedy.remedy_feed -
    (EMPLID, FIRST_NAME, MI, LAST_NAME, BUSINESS_TITLE, WORK_PHONE, -
    RRD_INTRNT_EMAIL, LOCATION, RRD_OFFICE_MAIL, RRD_BUS_UNIT_DESCR) -
    USING SELECT EMPLID, FIRST_NAME, MI, LAST_NAME, BUSINESS_TITLE, WORK_PHONE, -
    RRD_INTRNT_EMAIL, LOCATION, RRD_OFFICE_MAIL, RRD_BUS_UNIT_DESCR -
    FROM ps_rrd_intf_medium -
    where empl_status IN ('A', 'L', 'P', 'S', 'X')
    COMMIT;
    EXIT;
    However, whenever I run the statement I keep getting the following error:
    SP2-0498: missing parenthetical column list or USING keyword
    Do you have any suggestions on how I can fix this or what am I doing wrong?
    Thanks
    Ali
