Audio playback problems on AE comps in Premiere

I have several AE comps in my Premiere CC timeline. The original clips where in the timeline and compositions where created by sending the clips to AE. Once back on the timeline the audio does not match up. The effects applied to the clips in AE is just time remapping and the audio does not match the ramped slo mo or it is repeating. Not all of the comps are doing this but the newer ones I make are.

no one else get this problem?

  • Premier Pro CS3 audio playback problems

    Hi
Could someone please help with this. I have captured film on a DV tape shot on a Canon XH A1. The sound played very well when on the camcorder, however won't playback on PP even though the wave form is visible. I have doen loads of checks, sound is enabled, have loaded software agian and captured many times. Alos tried capturing audio alone and while the wave forms were visible, I could not hear the audio. PP is OK with sound captured from other DV tapes. The DV tape is not the problem because it has other clips on it which were fine in PP.
This is really important for my work - any advise would be appreciated.

If memory serves, Canons are capable of recording to audio tracks 3 & 4 on DV, which Premiere isn't able to capture.  It's the only explanation I can think of for the observed phenomena.  Scenalyzer is able to capture these audio tracks, though.

  • Audio playback problems in Safari since Mavericks upgrade

I've been having intermittent audio problems in Safari ever since upgrading to Mavericks on my iMac.
Google Play Music doesn't make any sound at all in Safari. Works fine in Firefox.
Downloading audio clips/mp3 playback in Safari has intermittent clicks/pops & sounds terrible.
Tried installing latest version of Flash player...no help.
Everything used to be fine before upgrading to Mavericks.
    What gives?

I did the following and got it working again....unfortunately, I'm not sure which action specifically fixed the problem, because I did a few at the same time.
    From Google Support:
"Alternatively, you may enable HTML 5 audio without the need for flash by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right corner and selecting 'Music Labs'. From here, you may click the radial 'Enabled' button to the right of the HTML 5 description.(Note: You must be using Chrome, Safari 3.1+ or IE 9+)
Clearing your browser's history and cache has been reported as solving this issue."
    Works fine now.
Note: Although Google Play Music is working now, MP3 audio playback directly through the Safari browser still sounds clicky/poppy. This issue doesn't happen when using Firefox.

  • Audio playback problems w/ FF800

    Hello,
I am having problems with my FF800 which seem like they should not be happening and I'm hoping that you can help me to sort this out. Here's the bottom line -
I'm running an Ableton Live project and Native Instrument's Guitar Rig 2 on my machine. The Live project has 9 stereo tracks, rather large files but there are not a lot of plugins on those tracks, nor do they have a lot of edits, they are just 'playback' tracks.
    Here's the issue -
When I run this exact project and Guitar Rig 2 at the same time using my lame, cheap M-Audio Ozone, old USB audio device, everything works fine, I have system resources. Live plays back nicely, Guitar Rig plays back nicely. Both have low enough latency to work in harmony with each other. I can start, stop, files, switch programs, etc. without difficulty. This Ozone is a USB 1 device and it works fine.
When I change audio devices to the FF800, things don't work so fine. When used by themselves, Live or Guitar Rig2 work fine. But when used together in the same way I was running this with the Ozone, it becomes a complete software meltdown on my system. With both programs running, when I press play on Live, my computer comes to a complete screeching halt. I cannot switch applications, I can barely stop playback, I cannot even Force Quit on my system. Basically, I have to power off my system and reboot. In Live, the "Disk Overload" light comes on and stays on, which did not occur with the Ozone. Sound in Live is played back slow, with artifacts in the audio. Signal through Guitar Rig plays back choppy with artifacts.
I tried several troubleshooting techniques. First, I tried raising the buffer in both programs which only helped slightly. I could sometimes get one or the other program to play back ok, not great... better than before but still not right. Even with huge buffers and extremely long latencies. Increasing or decreasing buffer sizes for either program did not work. The Ozone worked great with lower buffers, lower latencies, without disk overload at all, so I know it is not my project bogging down the system. One of the reasons I bought the FF800 after months of research was for its famous low latency and strong drivers compatibility with Macintosh. So therefore, I am completely perplexed as to why a USB 1 device on a $100 piece of crap like an M-Audio Ozone worked great, while the $1500 high end and otherwise wonderful FF800 using Firewire, a substantially larger pipeline than USB, would cause a massive meltdown. The only thing changed between the two tests were the audio card, which is where I was able to nail down the problem.
Here are some other things I tried which did not give me results:
Thinking that perhaps there was a compatibility issue with the FF800 driver and the Ozone driver, I completely uninstalled the Ozone and tried the FF800. Same problem.
Thinking that perhaps Total Mix and the FF800 settings programs were using up valuable resources which may have bogged down my system more than the Ozone which does not use that software, I tried an experiment. I left the FF800 running and powered on my machine while setting the drivers for each program to M-Audio Ozone. That way Total Mix and FF800 audio settings boxes were open and running during a playback experiment. The system did not bog down! This leads me to believe that it is not a system resource issue and also is not a driver compatibility issue since the same problems occurred without the presence of the Ozone driver.
So now I am stumped. Is my firewire port not giving enough power to the FF800? I tried using a different firewire cable that I know to be working and that changed nothing, same problems. Why on earth would the throughput of data work better with a USB1 device, then bog down with the superior or so I thought, Firewire connection? One of the reasons I bought the FF800 in the first place was because I expected it to take some of the load off the CPU with such a fantastic array of options on a very versatile unit. But now a $100 piece of crap by M-Audio is outperforming it. How is this possible?
Sorry for the long email but I needed to explain that I do know how to troubleshoot and I have tried a great many things to get this to work and now I am stumped. Do you have any suggestions for me?
My system specs are listed below:
    Powerbook G4 1.5Ghz, 1.25GB, OSX 10.4.8, FF800 driver v.2.60, built in graphics 64MB GeForce FX Go5200, Guitar Rig 2.2.1 v.6, Ableton Live 6.07.
Thank you for any suggestions you may have,
    Shane Otis

I get the feeling that Firewire as a data protocol has a much higher demand on CPU than USB1. That seems to make sense, I suppose. I tested a similar setup on a Mac Pro basically to test out the audio hardware and as expected, the MP didn't even break a sweat. I could have probably run about 20 other applications at the same time. That's really the only thing I can come up with because the FF800 worked just fine.
That does seem really silly that an old M-Audio Ozone runs better on my Powerbook which isn't even really that old, it's the last of the PB series than the FF800. There's gotta be a way to squeeze more CPU power out of my PB. I'd probably have to go back to Panther for that though. Hmmmm...

  • Audio playback problem

Hello! I'm having a rather large and annoying issue with my Logic Express 8 which has decided to a) not work properly when selecting certain instruments from the library that I wish to play into a software instrument track in logic using my midi keyboard (linked via an EDIROL UM-1EX usb midi interface)..the main issue is that it's very quiet, or doesn't seem to come over on my headphones/speakers at all despite the computer telling me there is output, DESPITE me not touching anything (i.e. turning anything down etc.) and DESPITE the fact nothing untoward has happened since using it last (yesterday) when there were no problems at all...
...and b) when I go through the loops library->all drums for instance and click on the loop I want to hear/preview it's playing back but as though it's going through another voice, despite the software instrument tracks seemingly having nothing loaded/preset on them. When I drop the loop in, I'm not convinced it's playing properly either, there seems to be parts of it missing (i.e. certain bits of percussion which normally resides in that loop.)
I'm very confused, highly frustrated and short of uninstalling and reinstalling, (or indeed throwing something at it) I don't know what to do...any suggestions??!! PLEASE can someone help me!!
    Many thanks
    N x

    Hello,
    concerning problem a):
Does this happen in a new, clean project also? Maybe you missed some automation data where volume is lowered? Can you see any fader standing at or moving to a lower than expected volume when you hit playback?
    concerning b):
The prelisten music of the software instrument loops have FX on them, so when you drop the loop on a clean spot into the arrange window, Logic selects the correct software instrument and channelstrip patches. But: If you drop it into an existing software instrument track, Logic only transfers the MIDI data of the Loop and uses your pre-selected instrument and FX, so yes: These are definitely other sounds. Solution: Always drag new loops into the grey background of the arrange window to force Logic to create a software instrument track with the correct settings.

  • Final Cut 7 Audio playback problems

All of a sudden I can't hear my music play.  I can see the music in the audio tool, so I know it's there, but I can't hear it in the source window or the timeline.  I also can not hear tracks A9 and below.

Go to View > Audio and make sure the correct output is selected.
Go to the menu Final Cut Pro > user Preferences and increase the number of audio tracks you can hear in real time:
Increasing this may/will have consequences on the smoothness of playback.
When FCP begins to act in unexpected ways, trash your Final Cut Pro Preferences.
use Preference Manger from Digital Rebellion (free) to do this for you:

your preferences will be set to default the next time you launch FCP.

  • Audio playback problem with HP mediasmart DVD player

Hi I have just set up my computer and linked it to my tv with a HDMI lead, I have been able to toggle between my pc speakers and my tv speakers on programmes such as windows media player and other HP mediasmart programmes but when I use HP mediasmart DVD player - a DVD will allow me to change from pc speakers to HDMI but I cannot change to HDMI (TV) sound when playing a Blu-Ray disk. I have tried changing my defult to HDMI and its just not working when playing BLU-RAY disks. anyone got any ideas? i have all the latest updates (running windows 7)

I have a ThinkPad T61p which I got one year ago. About one month ago the following problem suddenly appeared: When I want to play a DVD with WinDVD, I get the message "no valid Drive/Disc Found". When I eject and then start the DVD again, it takes about 4 minutes to start the DVD. Everything is very slow, the movie is croppy and I can often hear the laser head moving back and forward. I don't have any problems with other media like CDs or self printed DVDs with no region code and copy protection. I also have no problems with another DVD drive of the same kind (I have a DVD/CD-ROM drive). I tried to solve the problem with the troubleshooter (I have Windows XP), but nothing helped. My settings seem to be all right. Could anyone help me with this problem?

  • Audio playback problems

I just bought a presonus audiobox and I'm trying to use it on my garageband. However, I cannot hear myself as I'm recording. Once I'm done and I playback my recording I can hear what I recorded but I can't hear myself as I'm recording.

  • Premiere Elements 12 - Gaps in audio playback

    Hello everyone!
I have a problem with Adobe Premiere Elements 12: when I play video in timeline or preview window, there are lots of gaps and pauses in audio playback, even though video is playing smoothly. Usually the pattern goes like this: 2 seconds of clean audio - 0,5 seconds silence - 2 seconds of clean audio... etc.
    I have tried the following:
    - change audio buffer settings
    - change audio device (I have tested with integrated audio chip ("High Definition Audio"), M-Audio Fast Track Pro and cheap USB audio interface - same results with all of them)
    - start a new project with correct settings and import only one file
    - disable background antivirus monitoring
Usually source material is AVCHD 1440x1080 25fps (PAL, MTS-file) from small Sony camera, but this problem seems to continue even if I insert only still photo and mp3 audio to timeline. CPU load is about 6% during playback. It seems like Premiere Elements makes these gaps to playback signal before sending it to audio hardware?
Computer specs: Intel Core i7-4770 @ 3,4GHz, 16 GB RAM, 128GB SSD drive for OS & software and 2.0TB 7200 rpm drive for video, Intel HD Graphics 4600, Windows 8 (64bit).
I would be really grateful if someone could give me some tips to solve this annoying audio playback problem.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that this problem occurs all the time - even when video is rendered in timeline.

Thanks for the quick response, TonyPh12345.  Clearly not what I was hoping for but not unexpected. BB

  • New Lenovo T430 Choppy Audio Playback of MP3s only in any program

    Hello,
I am trying to troubleshoot a choppy audio playback problem with MP3 files on a Lenovo T430. The sound "skips" at regular internavls (about once a second). I have tried the following with no success:
    1. Windows sound troubleshooter.
    2. Playback through WMP 12.
    3. Playback through VLC.
I was suprised to find the playback poor through VLC. Sound is fine when playing a youtube video. Any ideas on what next steps I can take would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
    Dave

Can you post the configuration of your T430? I've seen issues in similar systems configured with RAM amounts of 4GB or less and using a HDD and ExpressCache running Windows 8.

  • Premiere Pro CC & OS X Mavericks Audio Buzzing & Audio Playback Issues

Working on the latest version of Premiere CC version 7.2.1 and MAC OS X 10.9.1. I am experiencing a really loud disturbing buzzing/cutout sound in playback. I have tried changing every audio setting possible on my mac and in the Premiere CC Audio/Playback settings. Sometimes changing the audio hardware or playback preferences fix it, but only for a few minutes. This is beyond a deal breaker for me. We need a fix for this, been dealing with audio issues with Premiere since CS6, nonsense.
    Machine Specs:
    Intel Quad Core 3.5ghz
    Nvidia 680 GTX
    32 Gigs RAM
    12TB Areca RAID
360gb Stripe 0 SSD RAID for Media Cache & Scratch
    Editing:
Canon 5d Mk iii h.264 footage.
Please someone help me with this, im deep in a music video edit and dont know what to do, im working at a snails pace on a really fast machine.

If the problem is limited to  audio transitions, then you're probably hitting a bug that was introduced in 7.2: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5945929#5945929. A fix went into 7.2.1. For projects that you worked on in 7.2, I believe you need to clear the cache and, possibly, the preview render files.
Several users have reported that the fix in 7.2.1 did not resolve the issue in all cases.

    http://forums.adobe.com/message/5949129#5949129
I don't know what the status is on any bugs that remain in this vein. If all else fails, your best bet may be to revert to 7.1. Unfortunately, that's not as simple as it could be. See the instructions here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5823746#5823746

  • Audio Playback Issues in Premiere Pro 8.1.0 with AJA Kona 3

    Hi,
I'm supporting a couple of edits running the latest version of Premiere Pro. The editors are experiencing some strange stuttering/glitching audio playback via the installed AJA Kona 3 cards, manifested as follows:
When scrubbing using keyboard arrow keys for any prolonged period of time, audio either begins to stutter or fails to playback (despite there being activity on the audio monitors within the software)
When playing audio with unrendered effects (nothing too challenging, unrendered titles etc.), the audio will occasionally not play at all or will begin to stutter also.
    Specs are as follows:
    HP z800 running Windows 7 64-bit
    2 x Intel Xeon X5650 CPUs
    32GB RAM
    512GB Samsung SSD
nVidia Quadro 4000 (latest drivers installed)
AJA Kona 3 (latest drivers installed)
Wacom Intuos 4 tablet (latest drivers installed)
Storage is a SMB share connected via a dedicated 1Gb/s ethernet link (Intel PRO 1000 card) and media is largely DVCPRO HD 100 wrapped as OP1a MXF, with corresponding sequence settings.
I've played with various RAM and Playback settings (including setting the AJA video playback buffer to 'minimum' as suggested on another thread regarding audio playback), but the problems persist. Is there anything else I can try, or more information I can provide?

Since it worked with CS5.5, check with Blackmagic to see if they have updates for CS6
I know from other discussions that an nVidia driver update was needed for at least some people upgrading to CS6

  • Problems with audio playback in 10.3.9

hi all- I've got a really weird problem with the audio playback of my G5; when I try and play an mp3 (in Itunes or in the finder window as a preview) the playback "stutters" arbitrarily. This goes for any mp3 - Has anyone come accross this type of problem before?
I've run checks both with my external soundcard (a motu 828 firewire card) and apple's internal sound, but this seems to be some sort of software problem.
HELP!!! I'm tearing the (little) hair I have out!!!
    thanks

Right.. 10.3.x doesn't automatically pull down mobile users' files. It only creates a new local account on the machine, but gives you the control over the account through WGM.
BTW- if you want to sync the ~/Library folder, you will need to use 10.4.3 Client (I think) and above.

  • Premiere CS4 - Audio sync problems, Encoding Problems

    Hi,
I've been using Premiere CS3 for encoding 20-25 minute videos to deploy on a Flash Media Streaming server.
Today I upgraded to CS4 and everything that I render to FLV/FV4, H264 or Quicktime format has serious audio sync problems when I use AAC as the audio codec. Unfortunately for me, AAC is the codec that I need to use for the streaming server. The audio is synchronized to begin with, but it gets progressively unsynched as the video progresses.
Has anyone else had this problem? I'm using bitrates of 256 kbps, 512kbps for the video and 24 kbps / 32 kbps for the audio.
Another thing that I've noticed is that many of the options that I used when encoding videos are no longer available!! For instance, I cannot generate hinting tracks for Quicktime, and most of the audio frequencies are gone for Quicktime as well.
    What a disappointment:(
    -Chris

Seems to be an on going issue with no response from Adobe.  Have the same issue with the audio running ahead of the video.  (Cool if this was an old Japanese monster video).
Running CS4 PP & AME all updates are current.  Nvida Quardro CX (current drivers 4.20.006) used several formats (Elemental h.264 to MPEG-2) same issue.
