Audio plays very slow in published Captivate 5.5

I'm working in Captivate 5.5 on a Windows 7 machine. When I place WAV files, the audio sounds normal in the timeline, or in Play this Slide, but in Preview or Publish, the sound is slowed way down, like in slow motion. The slide is playing back at normal speed, and even synced closed captions play back as though the audio were the normal length and speed. Because of this, the slide finishes playing way before the audio is done. Looking at the Properties of the WAV file, the bit rate is 705kbps.The audio sample rate is 44.10, and the file is set to play at 15 fps. I haven't been able to find this issue anywhere else on the Internet. What in the world is wrong?

Thanks for the detailed suggestions. I exported the sound files and reimported them into a new file of the same dimensions as the original project. Playback was fine. I tried deleting the sound files from the original project and importing the ones I had exported -- playback was slow. I tried deleleting the new sound files from the new project and importing the old files. Playback was fine in the new file using the old sound files. I also tried deleting all the graphics from the original file, which had no effect.So, it seems the problem is in the Captivate file. There aren't any widgets in the project. I checked the Project info and didn't see anything in there that was different from one to the other, except my project was set to 15 fps and the new one was at 30 fps. However, changing that setting didn't make any difference.
I've tried pasting the slides from my original file into a new file and the sound playback is fine. So, there must be some setting in my files that is causing the problem. For now, I think I'll just make new files by cutting and pasting and maybe try to figure out what caused the problem later, if I can.

Swf created at one frame rate, plays very slow in Captivate

Mac Leopard, Flash CS5, Captivate CS5 Demo, all updates applied to the CSS5 Suite
I created swf with one frame on the main timeline, all animation is done within a single movieclip on that frame. When published from flash it plays at my desired speed 30 FPS. When in Captivate it moves 1 fps.
Is this a standard for Captivate in playing the swf?
Additonally when I set to Durtation of animation its just fills the however long the time length is for the slide, even though the animation ends long before that.
Searched help, searched the forums, any recommendations or alternative search terms i should be using to find the answer.

Good question: I searched the Help and the only thing about synchronisation I found was what I paste at the bottom of this post. Perhaps you could add some comment in the Help about this subject? I did not check the videos and do not know about an existing manual? Just know (how? out of experience) that it is best to synchronize, that is all.

Synchronize With Project
Synchronizes the speed at which the animation file plays with the Timeline speed. If you find that the animation file is not playing smoothly, test with this option selected and cleared to see which setting gives you better results.

Playing MP4 files in published Captivate 6.01

Help!! I have added an MP4 file (7MB) to a slide using Captivate 6 and it plays fine in preview mode but not when I publish the project. I checked to make sure that I have all of the updates for Captivate installed. I am not using a media server as this is a proof of concept for a potential client and I want to just hand them the zipped file to run. There seems to be a lot of issues around this topic. But, I can't seem to see a resolution to this issue.

Please remove the mp4 and re insert it.
Go to Edit > Preferences > Project > SWF Size and Quality, uncheck Advanced Project Compression and Compress SWF File.
Publish the project and select Flash Player version 10.
Extract the zip output, paste that mp4 in the folder (if not present in the folder) and then re compress it again.

Latency issues on ipad air audio is very slow

recording audio in any of my apps is noticably slow compared to my iphone 4s running ios 6 this is very annoying

RESUME: if you charge your iPad on the same USB charger than your iPhone (as I did), it's not the same ampere (resistance). iPad Air need more than the 1A form your phone USB charger, you really need to take the one who came with your iPad (2,4A).
I'll see if it's fix my problem, maybe it will charge a bit faster than 4 hours for 50% of recharge...

Sequence of frames playing very slow

Hi - I edit animated frames on Premiere, hence I bring on sequences of TGA frames (import, choose file, click 'numbered stills' to bring in a sequence)
I do this over a network (our server runs Windows 2003 Server with quite a meaty switch as we work with large Photoshop files, animations and the such like). All previous versions of Premiere have worked fine and my current CS3 version plays and scrubs through the timeline fine but my trial version of CS5 is pants. It loads all my sequenced frames in fine but click play in the preview window and nowt; it just can't do it. Transfer the files locally and it *just* about does it after a bit of thought... I have an excellent machine (3Ghz Quad, 10 GB Ram etc) with a new Nvidia card GDDR5 1GB, the Mercury engine thing is on and working and my network is fine and very quick for everything else in the world that is large. Even sequencing up some simple tgas doesn't work and chuggs like an old train...
I know you will all say 'don't do it over a network' or 'you need a fatser switch' etc (which is a logical response) but all other stuff works fine and CS3 was fine.
What on earth can I do to make CS5 usable?

.MKV files play very slow on my MacBook Pro (3gb ram). What do u suggest?

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing slow rendering (playing) of .MKV files on their MacBook Pro. And what to do?
I have Perian, but Im not convinced QT or Front Row can play .MKV files.
What do you recommend? What software for mac that can handle .MKV files good?

It could be a 'difficult' form of Matroska file. FYI Matroska is just a container like MOV or AVI, and some mkv have the video encoded with Real Video Codec (RV9 RV10). Perian+QT can't decode this, but VLC will play .mkv files just fine on OS X, as long as they don't use H.264!
It's a bit of a lottery until Matroska decide to properly support the Apple platform. I have found this:

But there may be another workaround: 1. Get Info the mkv file
2. Change to extension to wmv. Save as wmv and that could work better.

Videos skip and are very slow when I play them in anything other than fulls

When I try to play a video it is ok when it is in the small box in the corner but when i double click and get the video larger it skips alot and play very slow, but when I make the video full screen it play normally. How can I play the video in the mid size box in the right way.

I'm having the same problem (iTunes 11.02!) .
I think this one isn't resolved because it IS rare: I've had iTunes on about 7 different machines (Mac and PC) since it begain (2001). In fact I maintain the same library without issues for over 10 years. Anyway this is the first time it's occurred (in my case it's happened on a pretty recent Mac Laptop). But as you may have discovered, google/bing searches for similar problems yeild VERY few results.
A guy at the Apple store was able to temporarily fix by doing some low level cache removal, that may give a glimpse to the reason, but is not a permanent fix.
I'm going to try a few things will report back if I have any luck**.

And, any apple support docs on creating a new iTunes library... I'm unwilling to try the let iTunes "Keep iTunes Media folder organized " cause I have my own organization method.

RENTED MOVIE PLAYING TOO SLOW

hi All,
After several million hours (well 3.5) spent downloading a movie (Domestic Disturbance) I play it only to find it is playing very slow and the actions don't match the audio. It is really irritating and impossible to watch. I tried cleaning out my computer to free up space to no avail.
I then put the movie on my external hard drive to play on my other better laptop but when I opened it it would not let me play it saying it was authorized to play on another device...grr
Any advice anyone????

Very Slow and Script Errors

Contribute 6.5 is very slow to publish new content to our site www.mrii.ie, even bringing up a page for editing is slow. So far I have:
Tested the the FTP settings using passive and active connections.
Using an external FTP program, downloading from the site is very quick 2. I checked all the file permissions on the server and they are correct. In fact Contribute will publish the changes eventually, just very slowly prior to the actual upload which seems pretty quick.
I also used a plain page with a small amount of text and again the pre-processing seems slow.
I removed the temporary sites and configuration folders and still no change.
I created a new connection.
As an aside, how do I disable script errors in the Contribute browser window?

Having trouble with facebook games " zuma blitz" lags, very slow.

I am having problems with a Facebook game, "Zuma Blitz", the game loads faster, but lags or plays very slow. it freezes with every shot made.. impossible to play. It may be happening with others, but I play this game every day to pass time.

This is because of the plugin-container.exe.
if you switch dom.ipc.plugins.enabled to false in about:config
plugin-container and the problem will dissapear

Theme audio plays for first few seconds of menu before dropped audio

I created my first iDVD movie, and added a .wav file to the main menu. I also used a theme from iDVD4 (montage). When I preview the movie, however (and after burning, this is also on the final DVD), the theme audio plays very loudly for a few seconds while the main menu is booting up, before kicking over to the added audio. Is there any way to make this themed audio clip (which does not appear anywhere, all the audio wells have my added audio clip) disappear, so that I don't have to hear blindingly loud music for 5 second while the DVD boots up the main menu?

Audio playback is slowed and cuts in and out

When using FCP 6, my 2'31" sequence began to behave strangely. The video plays at normal speed, but the audio plays in "slow motion" (for lack of better term). I would guess that it's playing back roughly at around 80% of the normal speed.
It also cuts out at random intervals, and after the sequence is paused and started again, it will generally play no audio at all. To even be able to hear the audio in "slow motion," it will only play if I start from the beginning of the sequence again.
Both my project and project files (captured video, audio, render files, etc.) are on running off an external hard drive. I've done many projects using an external and its never caused any problems, but I want to give as much information as may be needed to get this solved.
I've browsed several FCP forums and I can't seem to find anyone experiencing the same thing.
Any suggestions?

We have the problem even when we use only the internal hard-drive (MBP Core 2 Duo). The problem exists also in the exported (rendered) files....
With stereo, one track runs at 100% velocity, the second track with 80%. When we have multiple tracks (first track A, then track B) sometimes the track A works fine and the problem comes with track B... or track B works and the problem comes with track A.
But the problem exists also when we have only one mono track...
