Audio Presets lost with SB Live! 5.1 digi

Hello Guys i have a Soundblaster Li've! 5. Digital. I have a problem with my presets.
I have lost all of them. I dont know why. From one strat from the Surround Mixer to the other i can change them. But they have no effets anymore. The only way to solve it was to uninstall all creative driver and software and to reinstall it. But in 3 of 5 tie of this my whole system crashes and i must install my whole system.
Thats really **bleep**ty so i will be lucky if someone can help me.

I found out just a few minutes ago that i have this prolem only with 5. Spekers selected. When i switch to eg. headphonse, i can change the presets as i want and it works.Message Edited by easterrabbit on 03-28-2005 0:2 AM

Playback pauses and audio sync issues with live video stream

I'm seeing playback pauses about every three seconds and audio sync issues with our live demo stream when using the OSMF/Strobe player. It happens on both our 2Mbps 720p stream and our 480p 750Kbps stream so it does not seem to be related to higher resolution/bandwidth streams. It also happens if I point directly to a stream asset or if I point to a .f4v with both streams listed for dynamic so it does not seem to be related to dynamic streaming specifically.
The same live streams play back very well without pauses or audio sync issues in the Akamai's dynamic player and even slightly better with JW 5.2.
I have viewed the OSMF/Strobe playback on three different laptops of various age (3 months to 2 years) and two are Windows and one is Linux. I have also tried the various buffering options on the Flash Media Player Setup and Strobe setup and it has not made a noticeable difference.

I do not have JW set up for public viewing yet, but the two above show the distinct difference.
We are really hoping to start pointing our customers towards the OSMF player because of the support provided by the community and Adobe, but we have to get the quality of the playback to be acceptable first.

Hi Tim,
You need to add this setting:
dynamicStreamBufferTime=8
The actual value can be higher or lower. The best practice is to use a value that is twice the keyframe distance. Anyway, try different values and see which performs the best for your content.
I know that the setup page does not contain this option and it is not documented in the UserGuide. We simply missed it. Sorry.
Also note that the dynamic buffering algorithms are not being used for dynamic streaming content. I tried to explain this here:

Bluetooth and headphones have sound-no ringers,alarms,speaker phone....how do I restore as a new phone in ITunes? Will I lose my pics, music, ect?

The audio plays fine in the project screen but in fullscreen playback the audio is lost on certain clips often alternating with each clip. How to fix?

Audio is fine in project screen play back but when full screen playback is used the audio is lost from alternating clips. This carries over to the exported file/final version. This is my 1st time using I movie.

Hey did you find any solutions? I'm running into the same problems, would appreciate feedback and possible ways to fix this problem?

SMPTE DTV audio preset results in no audio

I'm trying to export an indie movie cut in FCP X as a QT movie with 8 channels of audio, per Apple's own iTunes spec, to be sold on iTunes.
FCP X only has 5.1 as an option, but I can send it to Compressor.
Compressor has the exact preset I need, SMPTE DTV (L R C LFE Ls Rs Lt Rt). When I use this audio preset, the resulting Quicktime movie has no audio at all.
Anyone have any experience with this?

Sounds like I am getting nailed by a software glitch. I keep seeing the problem randomly through the day today. Sometime everything works perfectly when I break apart the clip items, other times the sound quits playing on the newly broken apart clip, that is, until I recombine the clip then the audio is fine again. Other clips in the same timeline, that are already broken apart work just fine.
New addition to the story, sometimes the clips are labeled al, a2, a3, a4. Other times they are labeled as mono1, mono2, mono3, and mono4. Maybe this is an indicator that I placed the clip in the timeline, then broke it apart.... rather than viewing the clip in the inspector (before adding to the timeline) and turning off the mono tracks 3 and 4.
Keeping in mind that they are all clips from the same camera (hvx-200), recorded at the same time, batch imported into FCP at the same time, and side by side in the same timeline.
Another interesting addition is that some of the clips now list their tracks in reverse order.... a4 (at the top), a3, a2, a1 (at the bottom).

Shame on such a big company with no live help when you need it!!!

had to delete firefox and reinstall it. in doing so, i lost all of my bookmarks. when i follow the instructions on how to restore it, and the dates drop down, it is only giving me the last couple of days. it is not giving me an earlier date. and after reading the help answers, i have come to the conclusion that all my bookmarks which i use about 85% of them on a daily basis are GONE !!! Audio gets delayed with Plugin - Help please!

I have a simple setup. Several external MIDI modules and an M-Audio Audiophile 192 PCI card in the G5. MIDI synth audio is mixed with the 192 audio externally on an analogue mixer.
All is well until I add a Linear Phase EQ plugin into the Main audio output in LP. Suddenly all the Audio is delayed slightly compared with the MIDI! If I bypass the plugin it's fine again. I thought there was a setting somewhere to compensate for this but darned if I can find it. Anyone?
I'm using LP 7.2

Go to Preferences ->Audio...->General
There you can change settings for Plug-in delay compensation.
If you want to play live, use Chanel EQ instead.
Also don't use the AdLimiter live.

Reporting an audio/video issue with a TV show from a Season Pass? How?

I would like to report some audio/video issues with the latest The Unit and The Seeker episodes but I can't find them in my Purchase History??? I own a Season Pass for both. Any idea how to do it? I'm lost. Thanks!

Is this the lack of audio on "Shadow Riders"? I've just got to that episode, and I tried to report the problem, but the whole series of hoops you have to jump through seems to have changed. Rather than get to the page where you add comments for the problems, it merely sends you to an internet link on apple that has no bearing on the problem.
If you open your account information (store > View my account) you can click your purchase history there. The theory is that you find your program, click the arrow next to it, then click "report a problem" and it should allow you to enter a comment, or the problem... Anyone else having this troubvle?

I know M-Audio's drivers have had issues, but it looks interesting.

The Fishman Triple Play is simply the best hardware option to date for triggering external MIDI whether hardware sound modules or software instruments.
Having used many MIDI guitar converters since '89, I can say that the FTP tracking is very accurate and velocity dynamics are reasonably wide from soft to loud.
The Triple Play app works in Stand Alone mode in OSX 10.7.5 but not in 10.8.3.
In 10.8.3, you load the Fishman Triple Play plug-into into the I/O of a software instrument track. Open the app and adjust sensitivity, mono vs poly, transposition down or up an octave, etc. Save your set ups as presets which can be scrolled through with the D-Pad control on the converter.
While the GR-55 is an amazing all-in-one solution in a small, light weight package (in relation to the bulk and weight of several actual guitars, basses, amps, fx, etc), it is a poor choice for triggering external sound sources. Whereas I can play "bass" lines on the open E and A strings with my now obsolete Roland GI-20 and RMC piezo equipped guitar without any sense of latency, the GR-55 latency was simply intolerable. Of course one could revert to the old strategy of playing parts an octave higher on the fret board to increase speed and accuracy of tracking. But what about playing "piano" with fretted triads against the open E or A strings???

I traded my GR-55 towards a JTV-59.
Once set up, you're gonna love the FTP. As I mostly sequence MIDI in Logic, being wireless is incredibly convenient.

Creative Inspire 6.1 6700 with Creative Live! 5.1 soundcard?

I have a Creative Inspire 6.1 6700 with Creative Live! 5.1 soundcard, but the front-middle speaker does not work!
It's not the speaker self who is defect, I test this by switchging the connector on the subwoofer with the rear-middle, then the front-middle is working right.
I have switched to 5.1->6.1 on the subwoofer.
What can cause these problem?
Audio cables wrong connected to the audio-card?
I use Windows 98SE as O.S.

Beats audio presets eq settings

Can someone tell me the beats audio preset settings all of mine are set to zero for the beats tour and beats studio preset

Think its been a couple weeks since you posted. I have the same computer. I can not seem to get my music set right. Its either fine on rap/hip-hop with the bass, then rock comes on and there is to much bass. If i turn the bass down I can hear a fluctuation in sound. The vocals tend to lower on certian parts and just sounds aweful.
I have seenother presets but they dont work on the same hertz as mine.
Bass 70 to 100 depending ont he song
Treble 70
Center 80
Space 50
Focus 60
65Hz 4
125Hz 2
250Hz 6
500Hz 6
1kHz 6
3kHz 4
6kHz 2
9Khz 4
12Khz 6
I know the lower the hertz the more the bass. The less bass the more vocals. The 125Hz+is around midrange.
I really just need a working preset for either my sourround sound system 5.1 or my turtle beach x32 stereo headphones.

Cannot login my Windows 8.1 Pro with my live ID, don't have the Microsoft Logon Option

My laptop was installed with a Windows 8.1 Pro, and it worked very well before, i can login with my domain account and Windows Live ID, but today when i startup my laptop and i cannot find the option "Login with Microsoft/Live ID", i only can login
with "Domain account/Local Account/SmartCard".
Microsoft Account/Live ID is a local administrator but my domain account seems is not a local administrator.
Now even i can login with my domain account, but i cannot change anything, because i'm not a administator, so how to make the "Microsoft Account" login available when i login the windows? (by the way, i cannot add a new login in the "Change
PC Settings->Accounts", because my domain account is not a local administrator)

If you can see it,please click it and type your microsoft account.

Why do i get a BOBJ prompt in xcelsius with my live office feed

dear all,
the situation ...
i have an excel document, with a live office feed. the data feed is assigned a specific user from the sap ecc backend system. i have this excel live office saved locally on my c drive. i can open it up, and hit the refresh button without any need to log on.
my question
why is it then, when i add this live office feed to my xcelsius dashboard, do the live office steps in xcelsius, and when i do a preview, it only wants me to authenticate myself, and pops up a prompt.
i would have thought, there would be no need !

i realize to refresh a LiveOffice connection, from Excel or Xcelsius,,, you have to enter your user name and password.
and i also understand that, if you're not being asked for an authentication from the excel when you refresh the LiveOffice, that means your Credentials are saved into the excel itself, i mean into the "Application Options"
BUT,
when i use the same LO document inside xcelsius, it prompts me. note, i am not talking about enterprise here. nothing is saved on the BOBJ server side, it is all local to my c drive.
so in summary, when the live office is outside xcelsius, i can open, refresh and because the logon parameters are in the application options, i get the authentication hour glass, but with no prompt, and eventually i get my data.
however, when i add this to an xcelsius dashboard, and do a preview, i get an authentication prompt !! why ??
