  • Help in uccx (leave audio recording file for caller)

    Hi,
on the attached snapshot for scripting "leave recording audio for caller" when the agent out of office, it's work successfully but when second call comes over in this case the same file is recorded, so how can i make it to record as
    recording1.wav
    recording2.wav
    recording3.wav
    Thanks

    Hi
You can use a 'set exception' step to set a ContactInactiveException trigger to go to a Label.
Do this before the 'recording' step - if the caller then hangs up, it will go to the Label that should be placed so that the steps to upload the recording are completed.
Currently the script will just stop if the caller hangs up.

  • Audio recording--files missing, duplicated, long inserted silence, and more

When we use Captivate 2 to record audio files we find that
when we go into the "edit timing" option, there are extra periods
of time--long blank silences--inserted into the project. We have
also noticed that some clips can get duplicated. We have also had
issues with the files not saving or, saving, but when we re-open
the .cp file there are random slides missing their audio files.
Most of our files are only 4-5 minutes long, but I have been
working on a 25 minute presentation and it has given me no end of
problems when i try to save or publish it. captivate stops
responding and i lose all my audio. any suggestions?

How large is your Captivate file?
I've noticed that on closing Captivate with a 100MB file
there is a significant delay in which Captivate seems to hang. If
you watch the target directory, the .cp file will "disappear" and
then reappear after some time, perhaps a minute or more. I'm
guessing that on my older laptop, Captivate is chugging along
behind the scenes, manipulating temp files or the like.
To cope, I'm using a brute force approach in which I have two
versions of each audio file: a tiny placeholder and the actual
audio file. The files are named the same but stored in folders
named Tiny (10 sec of silence) and Big (the actual audio file). I
use a third folder, named Working, to import audio. From
Captivate's point of view all audio paths point to the Working
    folder.
When I'm editing slide 15, I copy the tiny files for slides
1-14 into the working folder, overwriting the existing files. Then
I update the audio for slides 1-14, using the library's update
tool. As a result, the project size slims back down and saving the
project no longer take so long. At the end, I copy the full files
into the working folder, update, and publish.
As you might imagine audio file naming conventions are
important . You need to be able to see at a glance which audio goes
with which slides. If I use Captivate to record audio, I export the
file so I can store it in Big and then rename a copy of a tiny file
    to match it.
The down side is that the timing on closed captions seems to
be affected by substituting the tiny file for the full slide audio.
So, I wait to set up the timing for closed captions until the end
when I publish using the full files.
Even as I write this I wince. I certainly hope someone else
will suggest a more elegant way. My approach is not at all pretty
I've found it less frustrating than working with a sluggish
Captivate and putting up with the hangs I experienced prior to
    using tiny files.

  • Why do I keep losing audio/recorded tracks and SFX in my projects? I have tried: Saving as archive file/searching package contents etc. to no avail. Can anyone help?

Why do I keep losing audio/recorded tracks and SFX in my projects? I have tried: Saving as archive file/searching package contents etc. to no avail. Can anyone help? It keeps telling me 'Audio file not found', and seems to be different tracks in the same project each time too.

I also have this problem using Garageband in a school network situation when students open their project on one station, save it to their network drive, and later open it at a different station.  90% of the time there will be no issue, but sometimes audio files are lost. (Garageband '11, iMacs)
That sounds like it might be a failure of the students to perform a Save As and check Archive Project when they do. This asks GB to pull all the files it needs into the associated .band document rather than point to them externally (and then risk not having them be there).

  • Everytime i record audio the file is smaller than it should be

Hello, got a big problem Logic 9 Osx 10.6 - everytime i record audio the file is smaller than it should be and i need to drag it on the left side to get the original lenght. Can you help me please?

I think you store the data as Double data (8 bytes per value).
TDMS doesn't support 12 bit data, so the least storage space you can use is 16 bit.
What is JTFA? can't you do it in chunks.

Why is my audio recording that has been burnt to CD-R not playing on other audio equipment - its says no file or cant play.
What is the correct steps for burning the CD. I followed the help guide and done excatly what is said.
    Can someone please help?
    Thnks.

did you burn it as a CD for audio CD players....or as a data disk?  big difference.
Also could be the media type (seen that issue endless times)....... try a diff. CD media.  There are countless burn layers and CD blank media, no player or burner on earth can read or write to them all.
burn another blank CD to make sure it wasn't a bad CD,.......reject ratio on bad CD and DVD is about 5-15% depending on type.
Ive burned enough reject DVD and CD to fill a house

  • Urgent help! QTPro audio recording cache?

Thanks in advance for reading / helping:
Where does QuickTime Pro 7 (OSX 10.4) record it's temporary files to before user interaction stops the application & saves?
Quicktime Pro failed to make an audio recording of an extremely important live performance - I think it's due to the location of the recording folder being moved. As usual I hit stop, but was presented with an error message along the lines of "failed to make recording" and hitting OK shut the QT window.
There must be some 0's and 1's on this hard-drive somewhere and I'm prepared to do anything to get them back. Even though the QT window closed, the application is still running and I'm doing nothing on that machine until this gets sorted out.
    Anyone?! Thanks again.

Thanks for the hint with regards Pause - I love/hate all these hidden features Apple leaves strewn all over the place.
Disk space, adequate yes, 35+ GB to spare last night ... I was recording MPEG-4, but as I'm not entirely sure how QT works (direct to lossy or intermediate native resolution file) I generally ensure 1GB available per hour of recording.
Audio source, using the Built-In line which is sufficient quality for these recordings (it's a G4 iMac hung on the wall of the DJ booth).
I've recorded every weekend (Friday & Saturday) for the last 12 months using this system; but usually whenever there is a System Update or QuickTime update or something of that nature, things go awry as in this case. The staff have been told to ignore the OSX auto-update, but with a roster of 20+ DJs one of them probably just clicked through it one night. Can never tell.
I should've just double checked everything before hitting record (the default record folder had changed to Desktop, not even sure if that matters but it had changed); but all my other software at the studio - I'm a record producer by day running Logic 7, Ableton Live, ProTools HD - just fire up & work correctly every time. No babysitting required.
Thanks for chipping in with suggestions though, appreciated.

  • I want to get audio only file from DVD-R. Please help.

I hope this is the right place to ask.
I have just completed copying a radio play from VHS to DVD-R.
(Recorded off air from high quality BBC FM onto VHS sound only in 1993)
The copy is a success inasmuch as I now have the high quality copy I desire and I can play it (via the DVD player) through the hi-fi with TV turned off.
However, I want to go further and load the DVD-R into my iMac and make an Audio only file of the soundtrack for use on my iPod for instance.
I have no idea if this is possible with the standard iDVD (or other software) on my iMac or how to even start.
I guess it would be equivalent to loading a standard DVD movie and making a file of just the soundtrack.
    Has anyone any ideas please?
    Thankyou.

If you used your computer as part of the VHS to DVD process, then you'll have a digital audio file that we can find, but I'm guessing you used a VHS to DVD standalone recorder. If so, you can use some free software called MPEG Streamclip:
    - insert your DVD, and Quit from the DVD Player if it starts automatically.
    - start MPEG Streamclip and open the DVD; then open the Video TS folder and open the first of the .VOB files (repeat this step until you find the file you're interested in).
    - use the Export to AIFF option and you'll have the audio file.
    - you'll be able to bring this file into iTunes, burn it to CD, etc.

  • Hello! Newbie with PROBLEMS! Audio recording majorly DELAYED?!?!?!??  help?

Hello there! I LOVED Logic 7, was very happy to get Logic 8. Then I installed Leopard. Now Logic is F'ed up. At first I had the Coremidiserver not responding issue. I deleted those MIDI drivers as well as Reason and my Melodyne rewire and bridge plugins. But when I want to do an Audio recording, Logic freezes, I get the rainbow death wheel for 60 seconds, and THEN it starts recording. It is really bad for creativity to have to wait to get the audio track to record. Does anyone know what could be going on or how I can fix it? I am using an Mbox2. I have the Line6 Toneport, but that is not working although it works for my boyfriend who has the same computer, logic 8 and leopard. I'm confused!!! what should i do? Can genius bar help me? Sorry for sounding neurotic, I'm just really anxious to make music an d not have all these technical issues! Thank you VERY VERY much for any advice.

Are you recording to a macBook Pro internal hard drive? or to an external drive?
How much memory do you have?. The delay of 60 sec before recording is not normal. Your computer is checking something else, or is forced to do another task before executing the command of recording
logic 8 need a lot of memory the absolute minimum is 1 GB of Ram but 2 GB or more is highly recommended.
    best of luck

  • SIMPLE QUESTION, BROWNIE POINTS FOR ANSWERERS: changing the file path used for an audio recording

After changing the name of an audio recording in the .band Media folder, the .band file continues to use the previous file name to try to find the audio file. I want to update the file path so that it uses the same file but with the new name. I thought I might be able to change the file path by editing projectData, but it appears to be encoded.
This is a common, crucial feature present in virtually all DAWs. Surely there must be a feasible way to do this in GarageBand?

you can't change the names of GB's assets behind its back
if you want to change the name of the region that GB displays: double click the region within GB to open the track editor, then double click the name of the region (in the track editor) to change its name

  • Recording video/audio files using Flash Meida Server through rmtp, and allow users to access the recorded files through http.

As titled, what is the way to record video/audio files using Flash Meida Server through rmtp, and allow users to access the recorded files through http?
What I am trying to do, is to record a user's microphone's input and save it to the server. Afterwards, I would like other users to be able to access the recorded files and mainuplating the audio data, by computeSpectrum(), to do some visualization of the audio. As I know computeSpectrum() cannot work on streaming files, so I think I need to access the recorded files using http instead of rmtp. Is that true?
How can I redirect the http request to the files I was recorded into my applications/appName folder? Or I need to somehow moved the recorded files to the /webroot folder?
    Thanks!

I probably have asked a stupid question.
My recorded streams are still saved in the applications/appName/streams folder.
And I redirect the www.mydomain.com/streams to point to the applications/appName/streams folder.
And the rmtp recorded streams are abled to connect through http now.

  • Record drive/partition "Audio Files /Audio Recording" not found!

HAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!! I get this message every time I want to record audio !!!!!
Record drive/partition "Audio Files /Audio Recording" not found!

    myrna wrote:
Any idea what path blogger Jim Frazier uses? BTY, only the audio portion does not record; the >instruments record just fine. If this is indeed a bug, is there a workaround that will get me recording >until a fix is found...
I actually have not had this happen to me in several months, and in fact, haven't even thought about it in a while.
But back when it would happen, I would be working away, recording audio without any problems, and then I'd hit record again for something, and out of nowhere, get a message like this:
    "olumes/Audio Drive/Album Projects/John Doe/Song title/Audio Files" not found.
When the first word should have been "Volumes".
So I would click and hold the record button to get to reset my audio pathway, and the proper path would already be listed. I would then merely click the "Set" button, and be back in business.
And there were even a handful of times when I would get that message with the full name listed, the V was there in "Volumes', and everything listed correctly, and going to the record settings, everything was set properly. But I'd still have to hit "Set" to remind Logic where the pathway was pointed to.
    Definitely a bug.
But... this bug never happened to me in Logic 7. It was only since installing and using Logic 8, that it occurred. And as I mentioned, it now hasn't happened in months.

  • Audio Recording Help

    Hello guys
I was looking for code for Audio Recording in J2ME
    i searched a lot
Any link , support or some useful stuff will be appreciated
i have Docs from this .com
    THanks
    Regards

    Jazzer,
I don't think iMovie can deal with inputs from two different FireWire sources. Even if you try changing the sound input source in iMovie preferences it seems to have no effect.
Have you tried the iSight microphone?
I used it to do some voice over recording a while back and was very pleasantly surprised at it's quality.
Though the problem might be that the best placement for audio is not going to be the best for video.
