Audio recording in late with the vidéo (with the slides capture)

Hello,
My projects are in demonstration mode without legends and with an audio recording for all the during of the project ( 5 minutes with more than 100 slides)
First :
Why we can't configure the number of screen capture per seconds?
We can configure the number of frames per second for the creation of the swf but for the creation of the project we can't configure anything !
So, we could say is not a problem, the automatic mode will do for the best but it's not the case... more and more the time goes and more and more there is a shift between the audio recording and the actions...the vidéo going faster compare to the audio recording... and we can't configure the number of slides capture per seconds, I think there is no solutions...
Why buy a software that doesn't work because we can't configure it in details?
Cordially,
Cédric lereffait

Hi
Im not quite sure if this is possible but you could check the BIOS settings if there is an option which would allows you to change the NTCS/PAL settings.
Check it

    Hi(Bonjour)!
If you previously recorded a voice over with the same name (in the same project), that's why there is file with the same name.
If you use a completly new name, FCE will increase for all subsequent takes.

  • Is my Yamaha Audiogram6 audio recording board compatible with OSX Lion 10.7?

GB does not seem to want to trecognize my audiogram....I ahve downloaded the recent drivers from the yamaha audiogram site.
I have followed the instructions left by some regarding connecting to the imput sections of the "amp" on the gb interface, and it conencts as "imput USB audio". When i do this, i still get no sound, and it does not allow me to toggle the imput volume bar...
what I am missing here? Please help, as I have recently purchased a MAC for recording purposes.

You should be checking with the hardware vendor. They can tell you whether their product is compatible with Mac OS 10.7. (MAC = acronym for Media Access Control address).

  • Bug report: Quicktime Audio recording with multichannel interfaces

I have problems recording audio in Quicktime using a multichannel audio interface. I tried two firewire interfaces, an Apogee Ensemble and the RME Fireface. Both are supported by core audio and work as expected with any audio sequencer such as Garage band, Logic, Studio One etc. However, both show the same strange behavior in Quicktime 10.2 and as well in iMovie and FCPx:
First, i selected interface channels 1 / 2 in the audio-midi-settings window as the stereo input source. In the quicktime audio recording window, I select the audio interface (fireface or ensemble) as the audio source. I expected that the recorded audio would be stereo. However, regardless of these settings, the recording is always mono. Actually quicktime records only channel 1 and ignores all other channels. This might be a bug in Quicktime with regard to the handling of multichannel interfaces. The same bug occurs in Final Cut Pro X and iMovie, which seem to use the same audio engine as Quicktime. However, Garage band and Logic do not show the problem.
It does also not seem to occur with simple stereo interfaces. I tried a Logitech C920 webcam with a built-in stereo microphone and a Zoom Q2HD recorder used in stereo USB microphone mode. In both cases, the recordings in FCPx are 2 channel stereo as it should be. Thus the problem is specific for multichannel interfaces.
Can anybody reproduce or explain this behaviour?
I am using OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), MacBook Pro 15 Retina 2.3 GHz.
    Regards, Werner

It seems that apple has reacted to this bug report without notice. Recently I tried it once more with quicktime and an apogee ensemble interface. Surprisingly, the problem did not occur anymore. I have not tested it with iMovie and FCPX yet.
The sad side of Apples support strategy is that I spent time and money searching for a workaround without knowing that Apple had removed the bug in the meantime.

  • Captivate 6 - start audio a few seconds after the recording

    Hi,
I have created a software demo video with multiple video recordings in the one project.  I now want to add audio. Ideally I would add one audio file to the background, so it plays over multiple recordings, but I need it to start a few seconds into the project.  The add silence feature doesn't work, even if I start the silence from one second in instead of the very beginning of the project/clip.
Is there any way I can edit when the audio starts in a project?
Any ideas would be much appreciated!
    Thank you
    Victoria

It sounds a little like you might benefit from getting some training in how to use audio in Captivate.  For some reason I'm not able to get the message across.
    It works like this:
Slide Audio - Captivate DOES allow you to add audio at a specific point in the slide.  You just add an audio clip to a single slide either by recording it personally, or by importing audio files from elsewhere, so that you can synch with objects (e.g. highligh boxes, captions, animations) that might be appearing or disappearing on the timeline.  Move the audio to where ever on the slide you want it to be.
Slides Audio (note the extra 's' in the name) - If you have an audio clip that needs to be played over several slides, Captivate allows you to do this via Audio > Record to > Slides.  Specify the slide range and then use the Import option to pull in the audio file (if you are not recording yourself).  Drag the markers around to synch the slide start points.
Background Audio - Only add audio to the background for sound that you want to be playing regardless of what is happening on any slide or whether or not the user pauses the playback at some point.  Background audio is meant to be omnipresent.  You don't have the option of specifying when it starts, however, you can set it to loop or stop when the clip finishes playing.
If you're talking about Background Audio, then NO you cannot drag it left or right on the timeline.  If you're talking about Slide Audio, then YES you can drag it left or right on the layer to change the start and end points.
Object-level Audio - This is audio added to objects on the timeline.
If you want to add silence to the beginning and end of the clip, you just need to use the suggestion I made earlier. File a bug or enhancement request if you don't like Captivate's standard behaviour of clipping off pure silence.  That's the way it's designed to work and Adobe may not class it as a bug.
If your slide happens to be a video slide, then you will need to modify either the video or the audio if you want perfect synchronisation.
Captivate may not match GarageBand or Audition for audio editing power, but it certainly has the basic required functions available in the Slide/s Audio dialog to allow synchronisation of audio with screens.  You can cut and paste audio from different areas of the same clip, import other clips to insert into the audio track, modify volume, normalise, change dynamics, etc.  Not enough power to make a hit record or movie soundtrack, but quite adequate for most e-learning developers.  If you want more powerful audio editing options including multiple audio tracks playing at the same time (not including the background audio) you can either create the multi-track recording in an audio editing package, or you could use object-level audio where objects placed on the timeline play audio clips as required.
Now if you will excuse me, I have to get back to work...I think I've given enough free time on this topic.

  • Big problem with an audio recorder iTunes

I bought Ondesoft's Audio Recorder specifically to get music from other apps into iTunes. I successfully recorded something (as AAC 192) and it appeared in the Music/Ondesoft Audio Recorder folder.
I tried to drag it to iTunes but it didn't appear, though it would play in QuickTime. Then I noticed that the filename ended .aac and not .m4a so I changed it and immediately the icon changed too, to the "musical note". I dragged it to iTunes and STILL it did not appear!
So I changed it back to .aac and now not even QT will play it.
These are the output format specs in the Ondesoft app :
    output format aac
    MPEG4-AAC - Normal Quality( 44100 Hz, stereo , 192 kbps )
In the profile information it says:
    [Audio]codec=aac sample_rate=44100 hz channel=2 bitrate=192 kbps
So what's wrong? Why doesn't changing the filetype to .m4a cause iTunes to load it into its Library? And why has changing the filetype back to .aac caused QT to stop 'seeing' it? It still plays ok in the Audio Recorder app.

Oh, I know what has happened. I went back to the Audio Recorder, and saw in the 'Output Format' list that while aac was top of the list, there was also m4a lower down. So I re-recorded the music as m4a and this time it loaded into iTunes ok.
But here is a mystery - the profile information for both formats was the same, i.e. aac 41000 Hz 2 channel. If both are exactly the same format - and I'd always believed that iTunes's default format was AAC - then why does iTunes recognise one but not the other??

  • Having issues with getting the slide to advance properly after audio is done playing

Before I describe the problem I will describe what I'm trying to do.
I have a slide that plays a video.  When the video is finished the user clicks a Continue button, and a short audio clip plays, and then the slide advances to the next screen.  The problem comes when I'm trying to integrate closed captions.  Since CC is only allowed at the slide lever I created an advanced action that is intended to display the audio text and play the audio.  The caption with the audio text displays fine, but one of two things happens with the audio:
The slide advances before the audio is done playing.
I add a pause action to the advanced action and the slide does not advance at all.
Does anyone have any advice on how to control the slide so it will advance once the audio is done?  Thanks in advance for your help.

The Pause action WILL pause the slide if invoked.  And there is no way to set the duration of the Pause in the Advanced Action.
I would suggest you add a button to the slide that the user clicks to go to the next slide.  Add the short audio clip that you want the learner to hear to the On Success caption of that button and set the button properties to Pause for Success/Failure captions.  You can add the CC text for the short audio clip into the success caption so that it appears as the audio is playing.  As soon as the audio clip finishes playing the success caption will disappear and the timeline will continue to the next slide.
No Advanced Actions required for this solution.

  • When using the record function for narration in Keynote 09 version 5.1.1., the recording continually gets off sync with the slides even if nothing has been altered on any of the slides.

I am trying to record narration for my slideshow in Keynote 09 version 5.1.1. I put the transitions on automatic and hit the record button, then read the slides as they advanced. The program allows me to record my voice, however, when I play the slideshow back the recording continually becomes more off sync with the slides with each play. Is there a way to fix this?

     Hi,
One of my ex-colleagues has installed a NI-DAQ 6.5 in our system. [And I do not see any other naitional instruments card in the CPU of the computer, may be he removed it] I deleted the account and all his files in the system. When I am trying to install version8.0, its not getting installed and giving me a message that I should uninstall the previous version by going to Add/Remove programs in the control panel.
I tried doing that, but the "Change/Remove" button does not seem to work...[There is no response and so unable to install the new version...]
Any idea how can this problem be solved?
It is a windowsXP operating system with SP2 installed on a machine with P4 processor.

  • Stereo Audio Record problem (While recording video as well)

    Hi,
I just just bought Sony Xperia C3 dual yesterday. I'm having problem with audio recording. I installed the Sony audio recorder from Google play store but while recording in stereo mode with it the gain suddenly drops after 1/2 second(s). Same problem while recording a video with stock camera app as well, video quality is fine but the audio with it is,just worst. Tried third party app like regorge pro but faced the same problem. Tried disabling the AGC with it, but no good. Recording in mono mode just works fine and I get clear record.
    Any solution?
    Thanks.

@uliwooly  This one i recorded today morning. The audio starts good & clear at the begining but just after one second it drops & then you can hear the bus engine sounds like waterfall. Here is the youtube link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5H1jNxyYMlw Here's another video uploaded by a review site with the same problem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3vKwydfN6U & more from youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GLLj2ommP4  then i used a third party audio recorder with mic switch option https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6d4uAEZFRE as usual with the rear mic the gain suddenly drops after second & you can hear some weird sounds like a "movie bomb" sound at 00:04, "rattle snake" sound at 00:05 & 00:12 & with the front mic starts at 00:17 you can hear the difference. It's mono but so clear & sharp.  Finally, as i dont have the mic swith option while recording video, all videos i record will have the same problem. This is definitely not  the typical "sony" thing to carry on.

  • Cannot record ingame sound with glc (-git)

I have a problem with recording ingame sound with some games with glc (well, glc-git). glc says, it can record sound from games, if they use alsa (or sdl and forcing sdl to use alsa). As long as I don't use pulseaudio, this shouldn't be a problem. But for some games, I can't get the sound recording to work. The 2 at the moment are:
    FTL
    Amnesia: The Dark Descent
I usually get a message like this:
    [ 1.46s alsa_hook error ] 0xa8a8170: unsupported audio format 0x0e
    [ 1.46s alsa_hook error ] 0xa8a8170: can't extract hardware configuration: Operation not supported (95)
I can record the game, but not the audio. If someone can help or test it, if it works for him, that might be nice. Or if someone knows a workaround or so. Or if someone can confirm, that there is no audio recording for those 2 games (but I actually don't wanna hear it... :-) ).
Also there are plenty of games, I got the audio recording to work with. You can see it in my youtube-channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/ChemBroTronNo1

doorknob60 wrote:Do you use 64 bit? I don't have a copy of Amnesia downloaded right now, but if Amnesia is a 32 bit binary game, and you use 64 bit, you need to make sure you have the proper 32 bit libraries. lib32-glc will probably be enough.
That's not the issue, the problem is that some games are firing 32-bit float audio (0x0e type as indicated in the error) into ALSA through whatever means, and the standard GLC only supports 16, 24 and 32bit signed int audio. My fork above adds very rudimentary support for float.

  • CP5 Audio Record to...

The documentation is not clear, but it seems that regardless which of the three recording options I choose (slide/slides/background) it is not possible to 'change slides' while recording.
What I'm trying to do is add audio (narration) for a presentation which has a number of slides. I'd like to start recording while I am looking at a given slide, continue recording and advance to the next slide. The audio editing function allows you to move 'slide markers' around if you have a large audio file and you are trying to match slides up to it (which, I guess is fine if you are creating the source audio) but it's not very helpful if I'm creating the audio.
As an example, from PowerPoint I can Slideshow > Record Narration  and start the slideshow and record and advance through the slides and record my whole presentation, without interruption. At then end (if I chose 'linked' at the onset) when I save it it will create separate audio files for each slide.
I'd rather not have to do this from PPT first, then do more importing into CP5 and dragging and dropping audio files from the library onto the relevant slides (that's another gripe: there seems to be no easy way to drag 30 audio files onto 30 slides without doing each one individually)
Anyone got an idea of how I do this?
    Thanks in advance.

I'm kinda replying to my own message as well (I'm also DoubleDawgg. Somehow my personal and work accounts got crossed/meshed?)
I will have to take back what I said earlier about the new functionality of recording over several slides at once. Turns out it's even better than before, or at least from v3.
Joseph is correct about the documentation being non-existent (I couldn't find anything either) or unclear for this subject. I clicked all the buttons and check boxes eventually and found the "trick".
On the main menu click Audio > Record to > Slides.
Select the slide numbers to record from and to. Click OK.
You should now be on the Add/Replace tab for this screen.
I usually check the SWF Preview box (I wish there was a default for this) so I can see the slides I'm recording to. This in the middle right of the screen.
Here's the gotcha: Check the Continuous Play box. This is in the middle left of this screen.
Checking the Continuous Play box should leave your slide timing intact and record your narration over the slides you selected.
If you don't check this box, the narration only gets recorded to the first slide and pushes the timing of that one slide to accommodate the length of the narration.
So, that makes it like it was in v3. Here's how it's even better:
At the top of the screen, click on the Edit tab.
This should show your narration AND the slide timings for just the slides you selected.
From here, you can adjust the slide timing to better match your narration if needed.
You can also do any other audio editing needed here without leaving this screen.
You could adjust slide timing with your audio in v3 but you had to load all the slides for the whole project by going to Audio > Edit Timing > Project.
Nice improvement if you do a lot of voice-overs. Documentation just needs to be better.
Hope this is what you were looking for.

  • Audio recording - prompts after every slide?

This question concerns the prompt box that appears after
recording audio for a slide. Basically, if the audio track is
longer than the slide length, you are prompted on how to handle
this after each slide. Is there a universal setting for this so
that we are not prompted after each slide? Or do you have to
increase the slide length before each audio recording to avoid this
issue? Either way, this is a time constraint. Thanks in advance for
any insight you may offer on these topics.

    Hi stunamistyle
There is no setting I'm aware of for this. What you see is
    what you get.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Audio recorded LATE... please help before I throw my MBP out the window!!!

Surely SOMEONE must have an answer to this:
Audio is being recorded LATE in the arrange. WHAT'S GOING ON?!!?!?
    - There are NO effects across the output.
    - This happens regardless of the soundcard - tested on an RME FF800 and an Mbox.
    - It seems to be late by a random amount each time but seems to increase with track count/plugin use.
    - Changing the buffer size makes no difference.
    - Delay compensation settings make no difference.
    - Recording delay slider is centered.
I'm runnning Logic 9.1 with a 2.53GHz 4Gb Macbook Pro on 10.5.8. I've had this problem ever since upgrading to L9.
It's driving me crazy. I'm a full-time writer/producer, and this is making every hour of my professional life very difficult!!!
    Anyone?!

it's really weird actually... sometimes a new session will be fine at first, and sometimes there's latency straight away, but eventually it's sure to creep in, whether there are plugins on tracks or not... in fact, playing along with the click yields the same result, so it's nothing to do with where i'm perceiving the timing of pre-recorded parts to be (again, there are NO effects strapped across the output).
as i hinted at previously, a friend of mine had the exact same problem, so unless we're birdbrains of a feather it seems there is a problem with logic!

  • Why doesn't Apple supply a simple audio recording app with the iPad? (Garage Band is not simple app)

I am going to be teaching an integrated media production course in the spring semester (creating an online college newspaper) and I want the students to use mini iPads to create images, videos and sound clips.   Images and video, no problem.   Easy to move to our iMacs in the lab for editing and inclusion in a college newspaper web site.   On the other hand, audio is a mess.   Sure, I can have them shoot video, import the video into Final Cut on the iMacs and then use Final Cut like an audio editor, but that is pretty lame.   They could download Garage Band but that would require all the students to have iTunes accounts, which is a real pain.   And moving audio recording made with Garage Band to the iMac is a real drag and way too much work.   Why the **** can't Apple include a simple audio memo program in the basic iPad app setup?   This is really old school stuff that was on computers way back when.   Using Garage Band for that simple function is like swatting flies with a sledge hammer.

What version of Premiere Elements and on what computer operating system?     Elements 13 on Windows 7
What is the brand/model/settings of the camera that recorded these videos?        ony  PMW 320
When you import them into your Premiere Elements project, what does Premiere Elements Properties for that import give for
