Audio recordings playback issue

In the new version of GB 10.0.3, whenever I play an audio track that i've recorded with my microphone it works fine.  But as soon as I add another track from a software instrument, the voice track seems to mute itself, or at least play so quietly it's inaudible.
Not sure what the real problem is, but would appreciate any help.

Did you record any Automation on the vocal track? Click the Show Automation Button on the Tracks Window's Menu Bar
Also try to solo and mute the tracks and see if you can locate the issue.
Also, check what else is on each Track and step by step bypass any components you might have (i.e. Plugins)
Hope that helps

  • TCS Recordings Playback issue

    Hi Everyone,
We have Cisco Telepresence Content Server (TCS v.5.3 Build 3316) and encountering issue regarding playback of the recorded videos via endpoint.
The TCS is registered as SIP and H323 on the VCS(v.X8.2.2)
When calling SIP or H323 recording ID, call is connected, everithing is fine, but after 15 minutes or more there are video freezing issues or no video at all(black screen). Audio stays ok all the time.
When calling SIP or H323 recording ID directly from MCU everything is fine, no problems whatsoever. There is nothing strange on the TCS logs, so I presume it could be VCS issue...
    Could anyone help?
    Best regards,
    Petar

    Hi everyone,
Update after a lot of testing:
H323-H323 calls are definitely NOT affected.
SIP-SIP calls unable to make, since there are only H323 playback prefixes set on the TCS. No option for SIP.
    Only SIP-H323(traversal) calls are afected.
    SIP-H323 (Transport-TLS, Encryption-YES) - 15min black screen
    SIP-H323(Transport-UDP, Encryption-NO)  - 15min black screen
    SIP-H323(Transport-TCP, Encryption-NO)  - 30min(+3-4) black screen
On the VCS Call Media statistics there are lot of errors related to H224 protocol on each SIP-H323 call. I don't know if this is related...
So, as Wayne said it might be related to Interworking on the VCS.
Another thing, H323-H323 calls are transformed, SIP-H323 are NOT. At least that's what I saw on the VCS call log.
     Any thoughts?

  • Audio & video playback issues

    So here’s the deal…
I just bought my Mac Pro (3Ghz, 3GB RAM) two weeks ago and have had problems ever since. I’m working with HD video in Final Cut Pro and the audio and video playback is glitching pretty bad. I know that it isn’t a software issue because the video and audio work just fine right after I start up my computer but as soon as I render the project or open another application the issue returns. This problem also occurs in iTunes, Soundtrack and QuickTime. Even the mouse will start to stutter. I have tried just about everything. I have reset the computer, trashed my startup folder (both recommended by Apple technicians) added a new user, reinstalled the system’s software and all the applications.
I also own a PowerBook (1.5 GHz), which works just fine with playing back HD video and audio and actually runs faster then the Mac Pro. I have no idea what’s going in here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ok so I'm a bit of a dummy.  This issue has been really bugging me so I decided to try a lens cleaner to see if it would help.  It didn't unfortunately.  I then uninstalled the drive and rebooted rather than scanning for hardware changes.  This improved things a bit-I was able to play a cd normally in Media Player but nothing else.  I checked the IDE controllers again and the secondary channel this time was running in PIO mode.  I uninstalled the sencondary controller, rebooted and voila! The controller reinstalled, is now running in Ultra DMA Mode 2, DVDs and CDs now play fine. Either the lens was dirty and causing time out issues while reading discs which caused the change to PIO or I just missed it when I first checked.  Either way, thanks for the help.

  • A105-S4284 audio/video playback issues

When I play a CD or DVD using Media Player, Media Center, iTunes or InterVideo WinDVD, I get choppy/slow video and slow/choppy audio with popping sounds.  When I play video or audio already on my hard drive or stream from the web I don't have this issue.  I've tried uninstalling the audio, video and DVD drive drivers, then let Windows find and re-install the drivers/hardware and the problem is still there.  I've tried downloading and installing the latest drivers on the Toshiba site for audio and video and still the problem continues.  I also dowloaded and installed a much newer but generic video driver from Intel's site and I still have the issue.
    Anyone have any other ideas?
    Thanks.

  • Error message after upgrade to iTunes 11: "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly."  At this point my PC running XP loses all audio.

Several attempts to upgrade to iTunes 11 have failed.  After an upgrade to 11 the error message reads: "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly."  At this point--after the upgrade to iTunes 11--my PC running Windows XP loses audio playback for all functions--in iTunes, in the browser and the volume icon disappears from the System Tray.  Only by removing iTunes 11, and then using System Restore to turn back the OS settings can I return the PC to normal functioning.
I did that.  I reinstalled iTunes 10.5.  Everything seemed fine, but when I try to plug in and copy a CD to my iPhone 4S an error message reads roughly: 'iPhone 4S requires iTunes 10.5 or higher to work.'
What might be the problem with my audio configuration?
Why doesn't my iPhone 4S work with iTunes 10.5?  It used to work with iTunes 10.5.
    Please advise.

  • ITunes 10.6/Quicktime 7 1080p playback issue/frame skipping

I have a playback issue with the 1080p videos on the recent version of iTunes - 10.6. I also tried playing the same videos on Quicktime where I was able to find that the videos were playing at around 20fps as opposed to their normal rate - 24fps~25fps.
I seem to barely meet the 1080p playback requirements on iTunes, but I know that I'm able to watch 1080p videos on Window Media Player(WMP) 12 without any issues. Aside from WMP, I'm able to watch 1080p videos on Youtube whenever hardware acceleration is enabled. I assume that WMP utilizes hardware acceleration as well.
The playback issue/frame skipping is probably caused by iTunes 10.6 not using hardware acceleration.

  • Video playback issues in Air for Android

    Hello everybody
I am developing an advertisement application which plays multiple videos. I have faced a very strange problem: nor the simple Video nor the StageVideo are not visible when I run the app on target android device. I can hear the audio but the only way to get the video is to press back button and then get back to app but in this case the video goes over the UI. This happens only on a target device which is a chinese sibo android tablet. It has android 4.1 on board. I have seen a lot of people had the similar issues:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/5429125
but the solution mentioned there - adding <containsVideo>true</containsVideo> to the manifest xml doesnt help
I am using adobe air 4.0 sdk and the air 4.0 runtime on the device.  I have tried to change renderMode to CPU/Direct/Auto but it doesn change anything.
The other three android devices I have - toshiba thrive tablet(4.0.4)/ eken tablet(4.2.2)/ htc desire c(4.0.3) play all the video content without any problem.
Any advice will be highly appreciated,
    Max

  • Can anyone help with my audio recordings that stopped working?

Hi, I have audio recordings available in a secure "member only" area of my website. Unfortunately, from time to time, some recordings stop working. I only find out about this when my students / clients tell me. I don't understand why this occurs or how to fix it. Can anyone help? Rita

It could be a browser issue?
It could also be an internet issue for the user?
The other is that if the are long mp3 files, the server times out the request.
I would log a support ticket with BC and be as specific as possible to the nature of the issue and if there is a way to replicate it. When the Student / Client tells you about the issue it would also be good to get there browser version and platform details to try and create a replicable error that can be solved.

  • [bug?] playback issues with QT browser plugin, any workarounds?

I've noticed a playback issue with media files using the quicktime plugin (currently v7.1.3) with Firefox 1.5.0.x and now Firefox 2.0 on Windows XP (SP2):
    Description:
When I open a media file in a separate tab or window, audio playback cuts out when I switch focus away from the tab or window (i.e. when it runs in the background). When I put the tab/window in the foreground again, playing resumes.
    Reproducible: Always
    Steps to Reproduce:
    1. Open an mp3 file with quicktime plugin in a new tab
    2. Switch focus to some other tab or firefox window
    Expected Results:
Audio playback should continue in the background.
    Actual Results:
Audio playback cuts out and resumes once you click on the tab containing the plugin or if you hover over it with the cursor. The cutting and resuming out doesn't happen right away but after a short delay, suggesting that it might have something to do with thread prioritization.
The file is completely buffered by quicktime, this is not about connection speed or bandwidth issues.
Opening the link to the same file with right-click->Open Link in External Application works well.
Someone else has filed a bug report against Firefox about this issue here:
    https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=339449
I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out not to be an issue with Gecko but with QuickTime.
Can other users confirm this on XP? Is this a known QuickTime bug? Are there fixes or workarounds?
    Windows XP

Yeah I had that thought as well but no joy. It works for the player but it doesn't solve my plugin problem. It really seems to be something about prioritizing, the way the audio cuts in and out - notice how it takes a few fractions of a second before a process loses its CPU cycles when you click away from it? You can observe this with System Monitor on the Mac or Linux or process explorer on XP. That's how the audio is cutting out and back in. I still think it's probably a bug/'feature' either with Gecko, the Firefox browser engine, or with the QT plugin..

  • NO AUDIO DURING PLAYBACK ON TIMELINE

Ever since I tried using the Narration tool in Premiere Elements 12, I have had nothing but problems with audio.  The narration tool itself cause Premiere to crash.  I decided not to use it again, but I continue to have problems.  I can hear audio in the clips when i play them through the source monitor, but if I drop it on the timeline, then there is no audio during playback.  I've already checked my audio output settings and I've already tried restarting Elements and my Macbook.  I've even tried to change the audio output devices just to make sure I didn't screw it up when trying to activate the microphone for narration.  Please help!
*NOTE - this is only a problem in the current project.  When I made a new project, it played back fine.  The problem is that I have hundreds of assets that I've renamed with descriptive file names, as opposed to the formatted file name the camera gave them.

    Good morning Steve.
Yes, there is a waveform on the clips.  However, when I open Audio Mixer, I do not see any audio registering.
Also, I do not have a USB microphone plugged into my computer.
Finally, I have done the Audio Hardware check.  I have tried using both "Built in Output" and "System Default Input/Output" but neither works.
Not sure if it helps to know this, but I have also tried to add music files to both Audio 1 track and also Soundtrack track.  Neither one will play back audio on the timeline, even though I can clearly see the waveform on the file.  It also does not register on the audio mixer.  This tells me that it;s definitely an issue with this specific timeline.  Is there any setting or mute button I may have accidentally changed?  None of the mute buttons are checked off in the audio mixer.

  • OS X 10.8 video playback issues

since upgrading to OS X 10.8 I have several video playback issues.
I have a lot of videos ripped to my Drobo NAS, connected bij FW 800 to my MacMini (4 GB, 2009). Until recently, playback was smooth, either with VLC or DVD Player.
Since upgrading to OS X 10.8, DVD Player is not playing VIDEO_TS folders anymore, all I get is a chequered screen. This is also happening on my MacBookPro and my iMac i7, so this is not a specific hardware issue.
After upgrading to OS X 10.8.2, videos are playing back jerky and audio is out of sync in VLC and QuickTime.
Since I have 10,000+ videos in my library, this is absolutely unacceptable
I tried reinstalling OS 10.8, and trashing the prefs, but to no avail.
    please help.

Are you running the latest version of VLC player?

  • Premiere Pro CS6 playback issues & graphics glitches

    Hi everyone.
For a few days now (not sure whether it's been like this since the latest update) I have been experiencing serious playback issues and graphics glitches with Premiere Pro CS6. I'm on a Macbook Pro Retina.
Please see attached screenshot for reference. What happens is, I start Premiere - it works fine for a few minutes, but at some point things start to go wrong. The program monitor doesn't show anything anymore, even though the playhead is moving and I get audio.
Sometimes, either the program monitor or the source monitor displays some other part of the Premiere UI or even OSX Finder windows/ other applications like safari. What you are seing in the screenshot is a glitch showing a part of the source window within the program window.
Once this happens, there's nothing I can do but to restart Premiere.
Does anyone else have these kinds of issues?
Premiere is becoming unusable for me at the moment, which is a serious issue since this is my primary NLE.
What also happens from time to time is the following: i start up my project, and once i do anything like moving the playhead, i receive the following error message "a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down" which then does exactly what it says. this will happen repeateadly until i restart my computer.
    Thanks for your help.

    Welcome to the forum.
Make sure you have the latest driver for your video card, and if you're using hardware mercury playback, then make sure you have the latest CUDA drivers from nvidia.  If that doesn't work, then please answer the questions here as completely as you can:

  • Projects Published to AC from Captivate 6 have playback issues.

My end users are begining to complain about poor video playback from projects I publish to Adobe Connect using Captivate 6 64-bit on Windows 7.
They claim that slides that contain a video will either 1. never completely load, or, 2. once they do load, playback very slowly and experience audio-video sync issues.
I have a feeling it's a question of user bandwidth as I can view the projects fine from my office as well as my home network.
I experience no problems with video playback at all, neither do many of my co-workers on the same network.
End users have mentioned similar problems with other projects as well.
This particular project has 4 separate slides that contain inbedded video.
Total Project length is 39 slides.
Table of Contents is turned "OFF".
    Video Files are FLV.
Preview playback works just fine, problem only exists when viewed from Adobe Connect.
I will include as much information as I can. Here is a screenshot of the project file as it lives on Adobe Connect.
Here are the publish settings for the project in question.
And the SWF Size and Quality Settings.
And the Publish Window.  These are the settings I use to publish the project.
If this is not enough information, I will answer any questions asked and provide any additional iniformation I can.
    Thanks!
