Audio regions getting moved about when i delete/shorten/move other regions

this has happened in a few projects now. i have tracks containing multiple audio regions, and when i try to edit just one of them, the others are affected. if i try to make a left or right corner change, or simply delete a region, all the other regions in the track shift towards the edited region. i just want to be able to work on a region independently without it messing with the other regions in the track.
also...i´ve recorded a vocal section where i basically am just singing "ooooooh" the whole time. i wanted a continuous "ooooooh," so i made a copy of the original region, reversed it, and pasted it to the end of the original (hoping to avoid any clicks between regions). problem is, the region automatically fades the volume slighty at both ends no matter where i cut it, so there still is a bit of a click.

It sounds like the Regions you are editing are Clones.
Clones can be created for audio regions (by Option-Shift-dragging). These are comparable to MIDI region aliases, but differ in that adjustments to the start or end points of any cloned region will affect all other cloned regions in the same way.
Adjustments to the source region do not affect clones.
You can, of course, create independent copies of audio regions (by Option-dragging), which can be adjusted without affecting other copies or the source region.
_To make several cloned regions independent of each other:_
• Select the desired (cloned) regions and choose +Audio > Convert Regions to New Regions+ ( or use the corresponding key command, default: Option-Command-R ) in the Arrange area.
Cloned regions that are made independent in this way can have their start or end points altered, without all other cloned regions being affected.

Go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage. Let all of the apps load in the window. You can see how much storage you have used and how much you have left. You will need about twice the size of the download of free storage in order to be able to download the movie. Also, the iOS will not let you use every bit of available storage on the device.
You can delete content in there if needed, but if you sync with iTunes it's a good idea to transfer purchased into iTunes and backup your iPad before you delete content. If you use iCloud only, backup with iCloud before you delete any content.

What happens to the conversation when you delete or move a message?

I've always been a bit unclear what happens to other message in a thread/conversation when you delete or move the current message you are reading.
Therre are 3 relevant view settings it seems:
Organize by conversation (turned on).
Display selected message only (not selected - why would one want to select this if organizing by conversation? Is there a use for that?)
Show/Hide related messages (turned on so I can see replies I sent in the conversation).
If I want to move the current message I'm reading, it seems to move the entire conversation to the target folder. But that's not what I want to do.
Yet if I delete the current message I think it only deletes that one message.
I'm a bit confused about how to think of this. Sometimes I see messages show up under "related messages" that are a year old that I thought I long deleted.
Any easy way of thinking about how this is all working?

After using deauthorize all you need to authorize any computer that you wish to use to manage content on the device or unauthorized & protected content will be removed next time you make any changes to the content on the device.

We have exchange 2003 and exchange 2010 setup in a coexistence environment. I get an error when I try to move instances of public folders from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010. "Unable to create the required MAPI profile. Please verify that you have
sufficient permissions to write to the MAPISVC.INF file. ID no: c103073a Exchange system Manager." I have checked the permissions on the exchange 2003 server. I am unable to locate the MAPISVC.inf file on the exchange 2010 server. This is the last set
before we begin our move to exchange 2010 and then on to exchange 2013. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you mean you get the error like the following one?
An error occurred while trying to establish a connection to the Exchange Server. Be sure that port 443 (for ssl) or port 80 (for non-ssl) can be reached. If you are connecting to the public folders, be sure that the public store is mounted. If you are connecting
to the mailboxes and the progress bar shows particular mailbox. Be sure that the user has at least one email address.
Exception failed to connect using secure URL https://gsfcdp16es/esadmin/admin/nyu.email.gs.com/publicfolders with error.
The underlying connection was closed. Unable to connect to the remove server.
Please check if you can expand PF tree in ESM.
Please make sure SSL is disabled on /ExAdmin and /Public virtual directory. If possible, you can recreate the ExAdmin virtual directory to check result.

Get 'Generic Error' when attempting to import .mov files with transparency?

I get the 'Generic Error' when attempting to import .mov files with transparency? I'm trying to use mattes with an alpha channel but I cannot import them. I have had this same issue since cs6, now I have it with cc 2014? Any clues would be most appreciated.
I have uninstalled the DVCPro Codec, but it didn't help.
I have tried converting the .mov file (which is now automatic in Yosemite) and this creates a ProRes4444 Codec, Again no luck with import.
I've seen this issue on the web, but never a solution? Anyone?

I tried iPhoto Library Manager but it could not solve my problem. Opening the iPhoto library I can see that the reference to the pictures are pointing to my old location not to the new one. I considered running a script that would change all pointers since this is basically what is needed (in my case from /Volumes/RAID1/Fotos/XXX to /Volumes/Fotos/XXX). Instead I inserted a soft unix link to make to connection but that did not work. It is referring to the airport disk by the airport name rather than the mounted disk name. Very strange indeed. The problem is maybe not in iPhoto but in OSX? Anyway, maybe the only way out is to take some hours and manually run through all linked photos... cumbersome and annoying!

I keep getting this error when trying to play my movies:

When I delete many movies, why is my hard drive not showing more space?

I have deleted many many movies, but my hard drive does not register any more space available. I delete my movies from Vuze, using the "delete from computer" button. Shouldn't that trash all copies? I am thinking there must be another copy somewhere for my available space to not change.
I would appreciate any help on this.

I started getting Operation canceled when I deleted Firefox 4 beta version from my computer. How do I fix the problem?

I ran Firefox 4 beta version on my computer for about 2 weeks. When I loaded something from my e-mail program it would take me to the beta version. I was having problems with the Face Book book program Mafia Wars when I used the beta 4 version. I deleted the beta 4 version so I could use the 3.6 version I started receiving the Operation Canceled message. This occurs when trying to go to a website from my Outlook e-mail program.

There are the two entirely separate methods of resuming with the previous tabs. As mentioned in the first part of my message, the method you have chosen is to specifically start with the last set of tabs instead of starting with a home page.
The other method is to (maybe more as a one off) select to open with previous tabs from either the button in the default page, or from the history menu. It is this method that previously had the question as you closed down, there is no longer the question asking if you want to save the open tabs, although you do still get the option to use them on startup. It is a more sensible method, but it does cause concern for those of us used to being asked on closedown.

Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache

Reset Standard Workspaces
Returns Adobe predefined workspaces to their factory default configurations.

IPhone 4 sync issue: apps keep getting moved and all folders deleted

I was hoping someone could help with this: I painstakingly organized my apps (close to 100 of them) into about a dozen folders. When I synced the phone after having done that, my carefully constructed folder system got deleted and the apps were randomly scattered over eight pages, which ***** as it's gonna take forever to re-create the folders and they're not even close to being grouped the way I had them.
I tried restoring the phone and then spent the time to reorganize the apps in iTunes instead of on the phone, and when I synced it, the same thing happened again - all my apps were scattered randomly over eight pages and all my folders were deleted.
Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?

This happened to me too! I was so frustrated. I went into the Apple store tonight to talk to them about it. The guy hadn't really heard of it happening so he talked to a "genius" and the genius said that it could happen if you have multiple backups saved in your iTunes and when you restore, it's picking up older backups. I said though that everything else that syncs is current, and it isn't picking up anything else from old backups. PLUS, SOME of my folders are there with SOME of the apps but definitely not all of them. He said the best thing to do is next time you need to do a restore, bring in your phone and computer to the Genius Bar and they could try to help.

My Audio's Getting Dynamically Compressed When It Shouldn't

I just took a look to a DVD I have been compiling, and the soundtracks are horribly dynamically compressed. In compressor I set the dialog normalization at -31 and turn the "Film Standard Compression" to "none". I leave the rest of the defaults as is. Does anyone know where the problem could lie? The tracks were sent to compressor through a FCP export. Also, I mastered the tracks a bit by myself. Is there anyway I made them too hot, and there is some preset threshold in compressor that I dojn't know about?

My soundtrack is basically one long stream of music. When compressed to an ac3, i can hear the volume "wavering". The nature of the music, is that there are sometimes transient "spikes" - ie, a snare hit that may make a peak very briefly. In the ac3 file, it sounds like a slow-response compression setting was applied to it. When it hits one of those peaks, the volume drops, and slowly rises again (in relative terms - the volume rise sounds to be over the course of a second).
At some parts where there is a lot of quick dynamics in the soundtracks, it sounds like it is continuously raising and lowering.
I know more about music engineering for CD's then for movies, but it sounds to me like there is some sort of threshold that is very close to the average level of my soundtracks, but many times it goes over that threshold, and some sort of compression is applied (at a high ratio).
Could it be that my music is mastered to hot? What RMS level should i shoot for? Do you know anything about the inner workings of compressor?

Since upgrading to the latest OS my calendar makes double entrys and when I delete one the other gets deleted too.

Can I take courses at ITunes University that teach how to use the calendar or IPhoto? How? ITunes U seems to want me to teach a course but doesn't list courses I can take.

[nForce] no audio on disk or image when burning a dvd movie

i've recently bought a K7N2 Delta I lsr and since i've had this i have never been able to burn a dvd movie no matter what i try. I've started from scratch trying with just the AC-97 audio drivers installed and downloaded the latest nforce audio drivers from nvida website, nomatter what i do i cant get a movie on disk correctly. When i build an image on my harddrive, i play it and theres no audio and when i build a dvd disk either the audio wont play or the entire disk wont play. my dvd player either says disk cannot be played or the disk is dirty. But when i import the image or disk into dvd shrink the film plays fine with audio. I'm at a total loss. i dont think that my processor has anything to do with it but i have an AMD Athlon 3200+ and 512meg 3200 Geil ram. If anybody has any ideas or better still a solution i would greatly appreciate a reply.. Thankx for your reply in advance...

Recently bought, you say. Does that mean you have installed all mobo drivers, repair installed Windows, etc?
Have you tried the disks in another system?
Do you use the same software for playing and recording?
I don't think this is it, I think it is a software/driver problem, but two quick ones:
Untic in Device Manager for the optical device "Recognise insertion", as that can ruin a burn.
Remove the audio cable if you got one between the optical device and the sound card.

Audio plays but error message when trying to export movie.

I had several projects working great.
But then, in the finder, I renamed some of the folders that contained the audio files that were used in iMovie.
Now, the audio files are still visible in iMovie, and they still sound.
The only problem is, that there is a yellow triangle exclamation point yield sign on them,,
AND...
the movie wont export with the audio files because it claims they audio files are missing...
even tho they are still visible and playing in iMovie.
I could re-import them manually, but this would require a lot of tweak work to re synchronize them to the video.
Is there any way to get iMovie to ask my to relocate the files?
...similar to the way broken aliases are restored of missing audio files in logic?.

Are you using Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat to export PDF to excel?
What software version are you using?
Also ,could you please tell what is that error message and it would be wonderful if you could share the screenshot of the error message with us so that we can assist you accordingly .
I would also like to know what OS do you work on ?
Is it happening with all kinds of PDF you are trying to convert or any specific one?

Usually when you don't have enough space, your iPad will tell you that. To be sure, go to Settings > About and see how much space you have left. If you have more than 5 GB, you likely have enough space.
I'd try rebooting your iPad and see if that solves the problem. Press and hold BITH the power and home buttons at the SAME time until you see the Apple Logo, then let go of BOTH buttons and your iPad will restart.
