Audio Space Still Being Used even though Match is turned on

My iphone is showing 20.9 GB of audio data even though iTunes Match is turned on. There is no way to adjust what music is on my phone in the music tab in iTunes. My understanding is that my music will now be stored in the cloud and not on my phone. That should free up a lot of space for videos and pics. Am I missing something? Why is my music still in my phone?

Ok I tried turning off Match on my iPhone the syncing with iTunes and I unclicked all my music and after syncing and rebooting my phone I went from 20GB to 12GB of audio files. I still have music in my phone that's not selected in iTunes and on top of that I still have access to some music in iCloud.
I for one am sick and tired of Apple releasing bug filled software and hardware. Next thing that comes out I'm passing on for at least a month.
Now trying turning off syncing music entirely and see if that takes it off my phone. I feel like this whole iCloud business is about 20 steps backwards. I had everything working perfectly between 3 macs a PC 2 iPhones and 2 Apple TV's and now nothing works right. I'm sorry but iCloud *****!!!

KeithJenner is correct - if you have music on your iPad and you sign up for iTunes Match, the locally stored music is not automatically removed. You have to do that yourself as he described. After you have removed the music from your ipad, if those songs were also on the computer you used to sign up for iTunes match, you will still see them in the music list on your iPad. If you click to play a song it will download a copy. There are other ways to download music too, such as from a button at the bottom of an album track list or from a playlist.
The headline of your post said "cloud icon doesn't appear." If you tell us where you are looking for a cloud icon and what you want to do with that cloud icon., we might be able to help you. cloud icons of one sort or another are used in many places in iTunes Match.
You also asked what the main selling point is for iTunes Match. While every person has their reason for using the service, in general it is looked at as a way to have access to all of your music on all of your devices, without having to keep all of your music locally stored on them all. On being prompted to create a new back-up on my Mac by Time Machine I lost a year's worth of back-ups. The crazy thing is tht on my ProBook I still have them even though it uses the same Time Capsule, which to mind mind they are still there on the Time Capsule. Has anybody else had this experience or has any suggestions how I can retrieve the info on my Mac? Any help gratefully accepted! Thanks

Not necessarily. Each Mac using a particular Time Capsule has its own set of backups that are independent of those of any other Mac.
Has anybody else had this experience or has any suggestions how I can retrieve the info on my Mac?
Why are those backups so important to you? My advice is to move on and live without them.

You have data corruption. restore your phone and set it up as a new device. Not from backup

Inspector shows stills as 60fps even though project is 25fps?

My Inspector shows stills as 60fps even though my project is set for 25fps and a couple of other weird things appear.
1. My still default has been set to 5 seconds, yet photos appear in the Event Library as 10 seconds. When I click on one, half of it (5 seconds) is highlighted and can be dragged to the project/timeline.
2. However, if I select several photos simultaneously, the whole 10 seconds of each is highlighted and when dragged to the timeline each one is 10 seconds, not the 5 seconds I want.
How can I batch drag pictures so that they have a duration of 5 seconds?

Hi! I'm hoping someone can help me please! I'm being driven insane by a file on my Mac that I can't delete. It is a temp Illustrator file which created itself out os some tenuous necessity that I don't comprehend! When I try to send it to the trash a message comes up saying '+The operation can’t be completed because the item “AI Temp 0003560350” is in use+' even though it isn't! I have tried closing Illustrator to make doubly sure it isn't in use but it hasn't worked. I don't suppose it's very important to delete it but it's really bugging me!
Any advice much appreciated!

My apple Id is already in use even though I never made one before

So I just got an iPhone yesterday , to make an apple ID I used my email address.
It told me the email is already in use , even though I never made an apple ID before but anyway it told me to change the password for it ,
So I went and did that but it seemed like somebody else had been already using my email address as their apple ID because when I went into manage account , firstly the name was totally different , the address was Canada's and a phone number was there too and security questions were asked in French.
Now that sort of freaked me out, has someone hacked my email address or what ? And why would they use my email address as their apple ID why couldn't they use their own ? This seems very dodgy someone please explain if they know anything thanks...
Btw I didn't change any information on the account yet just Incase I had to report it to apple ( and I'm still not able to use it as my apple ID)

Is code still being used

We have a large database, with many stored procedures, packages, functions and views that have built up over such a long time that we no longer know which code is still being used.
Is there any way of finding out if a procedure/package/view/function has recently been executed.
The only way I could think of was to take away the privileges and see who shouts... but that's probably not the best idea.

Find objects, that don't have other objects dependant on themDepending on how the database is used, this may or may not prove anything. Procedures that are called from SQL*Plus sessions or DBMS_JOBS wouldn't show up. Searching the text of your front-end application may be a chore as well.
A similar caveat apllies to trawling the cache. You'd want to make sure you didn't drop procedures that are run once a month or once a quarter or once a year.
In the absence of adequate documentation the only sound approach is to keep everything. Punishing your users - by removing their rights - for the incompetence of the support team is so wrong.
Why do you want to get id of somne procedures? They are not like tables, they don't take up much space. Procedures that are not run don't have reported bugs, so they don't generate much additional work. The only issue I can see is when you have to do global work e.g. upgrading the database or applying some generic fix. That is additional work, I agree, but that's the price you have to pay for not having properly documented applications.
We all do this (or rather don't do this) and we all end up having to do work we suspect is unnecessary but can't prove that's the case. Do we learn? Heck, no.

Hi, I notice that my skype credit is being deducted even though I have subscription for calls to UK.
I called +44 uk landline # and my skype credit is being deducted for it.
I checked my subscription which allows me 120 minutes per month for calls to UK
and notice I have still 103 minutes left.
So why is my skype credit being deducted?
Could you refund my skype credit?

An "other" larger than about 1 1/2 GB usually indicates that the "other" includes corrupted files.

Thanks Jeff, I was not aware that a template could be multi-page. (All the existing templates were 1 page)
But it worked, saving me some steps. When I was finished I renamed the document, and locked it.
Then tried to save it but could not because it was locked. I closed it, went to my Spread Sheet Folder ,
to find it, it was not there. The Finder could not find it either.
So I start over again.
I opened up Numbers and it showed my personal Numbers template folder, it contained both my new
original 4 page template and the vanished saved document!
I tried to delete the template containing these document data and could not - I had to go to the Library/Application Support/Numbers to physically remove it from this folder. Then I started over again. I Finally found out how to make it work: I can now "save as", and then lock, and it will go to place where I want it to be saved and locked.
The secret is: Click on the document title in the menu bar, and it opens up "Save as...", which works the same as in OS 10.4.11, and you can pick the place you want for saving. Once done that, you can then lock the document in the same pull down menu, and then close it.
I also found later that I can delete a template from its folder, by letting Numbers open the templates,
clicking on the one I want to remove, then go to the "Numbers Menu/File/Move to...", select "Desktop"
and from there the selected template can then be thrown into the Trash from there.
It appears now that the real fault of the Numbers software is that the "Save as" command is not available in the "Edit" or "File" pull-down menus, but hidden behind the title of the document.

If your Apple ID is the one that you use for making all of your purchases, it should, automatically appear in FaceTime already. How a no longer valid email address got there to begin with is a mystery to me, if in fact you do have, and have been using another Apple ID.
Go to Settings>FaceTime>Apple ID. Tap the old email address and sign out, sign in with your Apple ID. It should be verified and allow you to select it as the address that you can be reached by for FaceTime.
If that does not work, time FaceTime off, restart your iPad and then start all over again.

In Transaction SMSY, i want to delete a Logical Component. So, pre-condition is to check whether it is mapped to any Projects/Solutions. By right-clicking - Where used list , i have seen that it is mapped to a Project. So, in transaction SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN under tab System Landscape, i tried to delete the Logical Component but receiving the error message - The logical component X is still being used.
Please help.

Hello Mohan,
You can also solve this by using the "Replace Logical Component" button in the system landscape within SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN.
Thus you can replace all the occurances of the Z_ logical component by e.g. an existing standard SAP logical component.
Afterwards you will be able to delete your Z_ logical component in SMSY (or in LMDB from 7.1 SP9 on).
