Audio Still Scratchy When Playing video in iTunes

Hello Again!
I still have problems playing videos in iTunes.
I have: Updated all video and sound drivers, tweaked the QT Settings(64khz,16bit).
B Noir has been very helpful......but my problem remains unsolved.
Any new ideas?

Hi All!
iTunes 6.0.1 installs and works fine.....songs play great...but when I watch videos within iTunes the audio skips and crackles.
I've tweaked the QT settings every which way...turned off sound enhancer....turned off VolumeLogic. My laptop iTunes does the same thing.
Any new ideas would be appreciated.
I'm seriously considering taking my Dell laptop down to the Genius Bar.....but I'm afraid of being flogged and ridiculed.

I get green screen when playing videos in itunes

Hi I get a green screen when I play videos in itunes even in the store when i try to see previews. Any ideas what is wrong. I have quicktime installed.

Try to disable the hardware acceleration in the Flash Player.

No sound when playing video from iTunes on a Satellite M45

Hi,
After trying to play a video from iTunes on a Toshiba Satellite M45, the entire sound system went out. I think there is something wrong with the sound drivers or it/they can't be detected. I'm new to the PC world and any help in easy-to-understand terms will be grateful. Is there any destinations where I can download a new driver.
I need to fend off the insanity that's creeping in. Thanks.

I think you should firstly check the device manager if there are any yellow exclamation marks near to the sound card.
If yes so the sound driver reinstallation could help.
It seems that the notebook was designed for the US market. (because of the 5 at the end of the number)
So I think you should take a look on the US Toshiba site for driver updates.

Audio playback issues when playing video

I have the most recent version of Itunes and have played video before with no issue. But today, I am unable to get sound from any of my videos in itunes only. I can watch other videos online with no issue.

Lots of people are having this issue. Look around on the boards. Try uninstalling and then reinstalling Quicktime:

Why do I get a black screen and no sound when playing video in iTunes 8?

Just downloaded the new iTunes. I don't have any video playback when I click preview in the store. No video when I try to play anything that I've already downloaded. The play cursor moves but I have a black screen with no sound. I'm hoping this is just a temporary glitch.
Any recommendations? I'm using the latest version of Leopard 10.5.4 on an Intel iMac.

Yeah! Problem solved: It's a QT issue.
Cause: Mac Update Software downloaded a faulty QT.
Solution: Download QT from Apple's QT site.

ITunes for Windows 11.0.4: "iTunes has stopped working" error messages when playing videos, video podcasts, movies and TV shows

Title says it all.
I've had this issue on this machine for some time but not forever. Music playback is fine but anything video related freezes the program. When I launch the program in safe mode it works though. Clearly some add-on or file is causing it to foul up.

Some customers using computers containing NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA (SATA) controllers may experience unexpected behavior when playing videos in iTunes on Windows from a SATA hard drive. iTunes may unexpectedly quit or become unresponsive or the computer may unexpectedly reboot or show a blue screen. Standard IDE hard disks are unaffected by this issue. If your computer contains a standard IDE hard disk, you can copy your video files to that disk and play those copies of the files in iTunes or QuickTime Player.

Green Screen when trying to play videos in iTunes.

Not sure how do describe my issue. But lately when playing videos though iTunes, they play fine for about 30 seconds and then the screen goes solid green ( http://tinyurl.com/loa5a ), but the sound continues. I've tried multiple videos from episodes of Lost that I've downloaded from the iTunes store to music videos, to video podcasts. None of them are immune to the dreaded green screen. Is this a known issue or something maybe unique to my system?

Anyone have any ideas or need more info, if so please let me know. This is very frustrating.

Black screen while playing video in itunes

I am currently running itunes 11.1.2.32 on a windows 8.1 (64 bit) pc. I had to reinstall itunes when switching from 8.1 preview to 8.1 due to download issues. I now have a black screen when playing videos in itunes. Audio still works. Suggestions?

I've had the same problem. Tried switching from the built in Intel video to an nVidia graphics card, reinstalled cursed a lot.
Finally got it working the hard ware. Built a virtual XP machine (like the SP support system in Windows 7). Installed itunes in the virtual machine and can now watch my movies and tv shows. Both itunes and Windows 8.1 seem to be "not ready for prime time". I wish MS wouldn't have tried to make a computer look like a cell phone/pad.

Sound delay while playing video in iTunes.

When playing video in iTunes the sound is increasingly delaying and after approximately 10 seconds it becomes almost impossible to watch the video. When you move to the other part of the video, the sound is back to normal for a short time and then becomes delayed again.
When video is playing, it is possible to hear that sound is not smooth, but has very minor breaks. The video is downloaded to the computer. I opened this video with Windows Media Player and QuickTime and it works good, but, unfortunately, it does not work correctly while playing in iTunes player.
I experience this problem on Windows 7 32-bit.
Please, help with this problem.

Try to download the application VLC.
It is a media player that should be able to play any audio or video file you may have. If your videos play flawlessly using that application, then the issue is with iTunes and Quicktime, as they are both essentially similar software types when it comes to playing media.
In that case you may need to install a plug-in file called Perian, in order for the videos to play correctly within iTunes or at least Quicktime...

I have problem with my laptop audio, my audio is lag and missing every 2/3 second when i listen audio or play games, and video too.
I was updated, and reinstall my audio driver but the sound still lag and lost few second.
Any solution ?
My Laptop is Toshiba C640
OS : Windows 7 Ultimate 32,
icore 3
and audio driver is Conexant smart Audio.

Can you check the laptop's full model and part numbers from the label on the bottom? Don't include the serial number.

Itunes 10.7.0.21 stops working when playing video

Every time I hit play for any kind of video, the vieo starts to generate, then displays the dreaded "iTunes has stopped working" message. I'm forced to close the program. Running version 10.7.0.21 and have just updated Quicktime but it was not help.
