Audio stop on swf file but works on IE

I have FF 11.0. When I try to view a .swf file, the audio stops midway in the playback. It does not happen at the same link with IE.

ipad i have load swf file but swf  is not working proper(flex 4.6) but android is fine to work how

On the MBP, in iTunes, switch to Song view and enable the iCloud Status column by pulling down View > View options and selecting the option for "iCloud Status." Close the small window. Look for any tracks that have a status of "waiting." If you see several of them disable iTunes Match while holding down the Option key. Quit iTunes, wait a few seconds, then open it again and turn iTM back on. Let it compelete the scan. Wait until all tracks that are "waiting" have a status of either "matched" or "uploaded."
On the iPad, turn off iTunes Match then launch the Music app and let the contents clear out. Power cycle the iPad for good measure, then re-enable the service once all the tracks in iTunes have been processed.

  • .swf file will work in Internet explorer but no other browser

my issue is that i have an .swf file that i loaded to the remote side of the server on the net, and when i try the link, the link appears to work, yet the flash movie will only play in Internet Explorer and no other browser. Why will this not play?
All my other flash bideos are loaded as .swf files as well and work perfectly. The only thing i can think of personally is we purchased a flash animation ( the ribbons you see falling ) and that may hvae some conflict issues in the coding, but all in all i dont see that being a problem when being published as an .swf file. I have made sure that my publish settings are the same as all my other movies, but still can not figure out why this one and only movie will not work, please help.
http://www.unicefusaecards.org/proofing/new_year_confetti3/ is the link to the flash animation the i am needing help with.

I just opened the webpages through Firefox and while on the page Firefox did not change I hit control F5 and it changed the page. Thank you so much. It is now up to date on my computer also.

  • SWF File not working after upload to server, but works on local system

HELP PLEASE.....I have created a Fla and exported a swf file
from Flash 8 and Export (Flash 6). I can preview the page in
Dreamweaver just fine, but when i upload it and the html file, it
isn't showing up. It leaves a blank spot on the page. It is just a
simple banner with graphic clips and motion tween text, with image
    bgd. All images are jpg.
    I have tried:
    1. Using a full link to the swf file.
    2. Removed drop-shodows in swf file
    3. convert to Flash mx 2004 file
    4. Exported to higher Flash version to see if the flash
    player was an issue.
    5. Exported with no dashes in name
    6. Added Scr file into Dreamweaver
    7. Made a new test file to see if it was something in the
    current html doc, same result.
    8. Tried viewing on a pc, same result. Created on mac.
Here is the test page if anyone wants to take a look.
    THANKS FOR ANY ADVISE.
    Test
    Page Link

The link you provided is to the SWF file, not to an HTML
file, so no one can test your HTML file.
Have you checked the code for the embedding of the SWF file
in your HTML file? I don't use Dreamweaver much, but I do know that
if you start assembling a Dreamweaver file without first saving the
HTML, embedded graphics and other items are inserted as direct
links to the files on your computer, rather than as relative paths.
There is one other possible issue: I note that your swf is
called CWABanner.swf. Depending on your FTP settings, it is
possible that your server is forcing all file names to lower case
(a common practice). Which means the file on your server will be
cwabanner.swf. Again, depending on how the web server is set up, if
it is case sensitive, it will treat CWABanner and cwabanner as
separate files. So if the HTML calls CWABanner.swf, but the FTP
upload has forced a rename to lower case to cwabanner.swf, the HTML
file will not find it. Check this out, or to be absolutely certain,
rename everything to lower case: the file name itself and the
    reference in the HTML file.

  • TS2289 Audio in iMovie 11 files but missing in sections when shared to iDVD. The movie and audio plays fine in iMovie but my burned iDVD  movie is missing some audio .

I imported a movie into iMovie 11 from a Canon Vixia HFR 300 SD card with no problem. I have a new iMac running OsX 18.8.4 I think. I added chapter markers and shared it with iDVD. And burned it to a DVD.  Towards the end of this 30 minute movie the sound just stops. I do remember some screen came up when I wanted to burn DVD that said something was wrong with files but I couldn't figure what do to fix it and allowed me to continue. Any ideas?

    Hi
Either the problem is in iMovie or in iDVD
    two notes
    No Audio in iMovie
Most common origin is use of audio from iTunes.
    Work around -
    • Select needed audio to one new playlist
    • Copy out this as an Audio-CD .aiff (not .mp3)
    • Use this in the movie-project
    Other origins are
    1. strange / alient file formats as -
    • .mp3, .avi, .wmv etc
    • Convert them into .aiff 48kHz 16-bit and use this
    2. the Mac is set wrongly in regard of midi -
    • Close iMovie and other programs
    • Start GarageBand
    • Make a new GB-project and play some notes
    • Close GB and Save
    • Now try iMovie again
    3. No audio when playback in iMovie 1 to HD 6.
    a. in iMovie pref. - deselect ” Playback via Camera”
    b. in System preferences - see that Audio out is not set to zero. Mine often does this
    without me knowing why.
    4. iMovie’08 & 09 & 11
    • Toggle audio-scimming by cmd-K
    Stuttering audio and video
    1. FileVault is ON - Turn it off
    2. More than 50 audio files in a movie-project
Mix down to one audio clip
    3. Project is stored on one (USB) external hard disk - should be a FireWire one
    4. the External hard disk is not Mac OS Extended formatted - but
UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange and this will not work for Video.
    5. To little free space on internal boot hard disk.
I go for a minimum of 25Gb free space when project is imported and edited and this goes for
4x3 SD Video. For 16x9 HD my guess would be about 5 times more at least.
Neither Mac OS, iMovie or iDVD can address any other hard disk than the boot drive for it’s
scratch files. (Unlike Final Cut Express/Pro where You select scratch disk/s)
    6. Network storage - DOESN’T WORK
    No audio on DVD disc.
    Most common origin.
    1. Imported audio from iTunes.
    • In iTunes copy out as an Audio-CD .aiff (Same as played on standard Stereo CD - no .mp3)
    • Use this in Your movie project
    2. Low - Free Space on Start-up/Boot/Internal/Mac OS Hard disk makes it hard for iMovie to work as intended.
Down to 1.3 GB and it doesn’t work - especially audio don’t migrate over to Media Browser
    (iM’08 & 09)
    3. Material in iMovie’08 & 09 - Shared to Media Browser and here selected as Large
large.m4v. It silenced out this project in iDVD. By making a slight alteration - provoking it to ask for a new Share/Publish to Media Browser and here selecting 640x480 - and audio was back when a new iDVD project was created including this movie.
    Minuscular - - 176x144
    Mobile - - - - - 480x360
    Medium - - - - 640x480
    Large - - - - - - 720x540    960x540
    HD - - - - - - - - 1280x720
    4. Strange audio formats like .mp3, .avi etc.
    • Change them to .aiff. Use an audio editor like Audacity (free)
    5. Main audio is set to off in System Preferences - Does this by it self - Don’t know why
    Cheque Audio-Out resp. Audio-In

Had the same problem; some Googling around gave me a kludgy, but effective fix
Downgrade Perian from recent versions back to version 1.0.
That worked for me, and so far I haven't encountered any deficiencies — except it takes more advanced versions of Perian to enable QuickTime to handle subtitles in .srt format — that I have noticed.
    7. GarageBand fix.
In this set audio to 44.1 kHz (Klaus1 suggestion)
(if this don’t work try 48 kHz - me guessing)
    Before burning the DVD.
    • Do a DiskImage (File menu and down)
    • Double click on the .img file
    • Test it with Apple DVD-player
If it’s OK then make Your DVD.
Burn at x1 speed.... (or x4)
    • In iDVD 08 - or - 09
    • Burn from DiskImage with Apple’s Disk Utilities application
•OR burn with Roxio Toast™ if You got it

  • SWF file not working properly in Explorer

I have made a kind of slide show showing jpg images loaded
from the web in an swf file, and it will not work properly. It is
my first .swf application, and I am using the free downloadable
FlashObject.js to load the swf into the browser. The problem is
that it sometimes loads perfectly, while other times it will not
work at all! It is not the paths, because I have tried setting the
images in the same directory as the swf, and not importing the
image names thru flashVars. What drives me mad is that it works
consistently in Explorer, the first time I load it, and the first
time after I have cleared the temporary internet files. Otherwise
it will not load at all. In Firefox however, if randomly fails to
load about one time out of ten or something like that. The code is
compiled using the free downloadable compiler. Anyone have any idea
    what may be wrong?

I may be late but better late then...
    Not true
You can nest hundreds of layers as long as all symbols are graphics.
People try to use a Movie symbol and this is script executed.
I am animator on cartoon all done in flash and we have dozens or more NESTS!!!!
Eyes inside of head inside of Character in car on stage...
    many
Trick to not crashing is in FLASH
Set publish settings to FLASH 8.
Never use FLASH 9 with Actionsscript 3... This adds a lot of instability.
1 of these swfs in a project could kill it.
I render SWF at 30fps at 1920x1080 then into AE, then scale down to SD wide screen resolution 720x480 16x9.. set scale to 45.5 x 44.5 percent.
I output final animation at Quicktime ANIMATION 100 millions of colors... 1.21 (16x9)audio added at 48k
I have hundreds of hours trying to make this work reliably and finally I got the mix.
Then I take QT to Premiere for final edit, audio and titles.
    Good luck

  • Why does the audio in my .SWF file not play in a Browser?

I created an .swf file using ffmpeg, containing H.264 video and MP3 audio. The file plays perfectly in VLC but  not in a Browser (Chrome/IE). I tried analyzing the file using a trial version of Flash decompiler. Again, only the video plays. The strange thing is that if I extract the MP3 from the file, it plays perfectly using any of th eplayers. It seems to be a muxing issue which VLC apparently handles, but not the player in the browser! Why? Thanks for any pointers.

Yeah. Sorry to say this but many people buy the various brands of format converters, which are everywhere on the Web and which also spam these boards – and often find they are not only out the purchase price but that the app created as many problems as it solved.

Where you see the white blank box, that´s where the .swf animation should be playing. Weird is that the buttons are .swf too but they do work.
Any ideas why the animation is not playing?

    Thanks.

Murray *ACP* is right, _swf/Untitled-11.swf displays nothing... so that's the problem.
The good part is... trying to direct download does NOT return "File not found". So the file is there on the server..  it's just not working.
My educated guess is that the animation is calling in some external assets, .xml, images, another .swf, some type of skin... something external to the .swf needed for the display... and the path to that asset is not correct... hence.. nothing displays.
Pathing issues are one of the most common problems when using Flash. You just need to remember that once you place a .swf on a Web page, the path to all assets called by that .swf must be pathed relative to the WEB PAGE holding the .swf, NOT the physical location of the .swf. From an old post:
    Pathing issues
Almost always when it works on the local machine and not the server, it's a pathing problem.
You can put your Flash related files in whatever folders you want, they do not have to be in the root. But if sticking them in there worked, then you know that the issue was a pathing problem.
Just remember that paths become relative to the Web page on which those Flash files are used. So for example, if your .swf is in the flash/data folder and you use that .swf on a Web page in the root, you are in effect, removing that .swf from flash/data and putting it in root. So if the .swf is loading any related files (xml, etc), the path used inside the .swf to the .xml file has to be relative to it's new location in root and back down into flash/data. This is true even though when testing the .swf by itself, it can be inside flash/data and work just fine, since relative to it's location, the path is just fine, they are in the same folder. But if that same path is used when the .swf is placed on a page two folder levels up, the relative path has changed, the old "same folder" path will not work.
So just be sure that you use addresses relative to the final locations and you can put the files wherever you want.
    Best wishes,

Double check to see if pathing inside the .swf may be at the root of your problem.

  • Problem: text fade in/out in swf-file not working correctly

    Hello to all,
    this is my first post.
I work in a printing company and we want to administrate now our website by our own and
we have bought now Dreamweaver CS4 and Flash CS4 for Mac. My Flash skill-level is "Beginner",
but I am OK with simple tweenings, using symbols and that.
I have done an advertisment banner for the home, 550x290 px, background-pictures
and headlines fading in and out, later until the end there are three subheadlines for pricing details.
The published swf-file works absolutely fine on my Mac, and also
embedded in the site in Safari and Opera.
Before uploading I wanted to check in IE and Opera on a Windows-PC
and now there is the problem:
the first headline does not fade in, it suddenly just appears.
The second headline fades in the place of the first, when the first one is
fading out. So now, for a second the text is appearing above each other and
both neither fade in nor fade out.
The three subheadlines later start one by one, and they work fine and fade in
and out correctly. All pictures fade in and out correctly, too.
    What could that be?
I`ve  just installed the newest flash-player on the Windows-PC and
the problem is still there when I open the swf-file or when I embed it in the website.
I would be deeply grateful for any hint.
    Thanks!

    Hi!
The difference was, the headline property was accidentally "dynamic text", the subheadlines were static.
    I missed that.
Before changing that now in the fla-file I checked the old one on differrent company macs,
the problem is only one a few macs, say one of ten had the problem I watched.
I think now, that must be just bad luck or it is a player problem.
    Allow me the question please:
should I use dynamic text or static (then I cannot embed the font, the option dispappears then
    in the Properties-panel).
    Thanks again!

I've test a .swf file in an fixed layout ePub file and it seems that the animations work but none of the navigation buttons. Can someone confirm what .swf features work and don't work in fixed layout ePubs.

"eventListeners" is not an InDesign feature for buttons.
I think you're out of luck.

  • Flash Catalyst SWF file not working in Captivate 4

    Hi,
I downloaded the trial version of Flash Catalyst to use in conjuction with Captivate (I don't know how to write code) so that I have scrolling text boxes in my project. Well, Flash Catalyst works as designed, but when I go to import the swf file into captivate, they don't play nice together. My project is in AS3, which is congruent with Flash Catalyst. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong, or work arounds to get it to run would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Tony

    Hi Tony,
I got your file, thanks! I have not tried it inside Captivate because I was not on the same machine were Captivate is installed. However, if you tried to use,  in Captivate, the main.swf file located in the deploy-to-web folder than you will have some issues. The file in that folder is very lightweight because it will download at run-time the flex framework. Therefore, if the framework is not in the same location as the main.swf when captivate runs, the animation will not show up properly. So, if you copy the other swf and swz in the same folder were Captivate publishes, then it should work.
However, there is an easier way to do this. You have another folder called run-local. This folder contains a bigger main.swf file. This file already contains all the framework part in it. So, if you try to use this file instead, it should work inside Captivate.
Give this a try and let me know if it works out.

  • Audio links to MP4 files not working

    hi,
    i'm publishing a website I designed using Dreamweaver. I
uploaded everything to the server using Fetch, but none of my audio
file links work. I've checked 100 times, and the files are there,
in the folder specified when I created the links. I've tried
recreating them - checking the location, etc and nothing works.
is this a problem with mp4 files or is it something else?
please let me know if anyone has any ideas as to what might
    be wrong.
    thanks!

If you are on *nix hosting, doublecheck for upper & lower
    case mismatches.

  • JInternalFrame not opening in JAR file, but works when not in JAR

I have a folder that contains multiple .class files. I make all the class files into one jar file with this command:
    jar cmf mainClass.txt myapplication.jar *.class
    The mainClass.txt contains the following:
    Main-Class: myapplication
    class-path: myapplication.jar
The myapplication.class opens up a JDesktopPane inside a JFrame. It also contains a start menu, which again has elements that opens up misc JInternalFrames inside the JDesktopPane. The problem is this:
    When I run the application from a .bat file, everything works fine. However, after making the JAR Executable file, everything works except 1 JInternalFrame. Now, the code for this JInternalFrame is far too much to post, so I'll have to ask as follows;
Are there any reason why a JInternalFrame would not work from inside a JAR Executable, but work when not in the JAR file? Especially when other JInternalFrames are working? What can make 1 JInternalFrame different from the others in this regard?

Perhaps the problem lies somewhere else.
Obviously if other JInternalFrames are working then there is a difference in the one missing internal frame that causes it not to show up.
My guess is that perhaps you are missing one or two classes in your JAR that are used by that JInternalFrame and that an exception is being thrown causing it not to show.
Double check the contents of your JAR and make sure that all the classes are present and that they are the right versions.
