Audio stops about 25 seconds into video.

When I play my videos, the iPod freezes for about 5 seconds and then resumes without any sound.
These files used to work fine, but now they have this problem. The video works fine in iTunes, but do not work on the iPod.
These files also work fine on my brother's iPod. I called Apple and they said that they do not support the iPod for converted files. The video files I got from Apple work fine, but the converted files no longer work.
Any ideas??

The new ipod software update has done that to
everyone. You'll need to rollback to the
11-17-2005
or 10-12-2005 software in order to get it to go
away.
I'm currently using the 10-12-2005 update until
apple
comes up with a fix for their current stupidity of
problems.
Note to apple: Test your software before releasing
it. Mkay?
Thanks for the heads up. Now, How do I roll back to
an older software?
I went to Program Folders and found the folder for the old software. I reverted to the old software. It fixed the problem.
Thanks for your help.

  • ITunes is stopping :24 seconds into a song

iTunes is stopping :24 seconds into a song on the first or second song that plays on one of my computers?
It happens whether home sharing is on or off.  Match is off.  I trying uninstalling all of the Apple software on the computer and re-installing it all.  It made no difference.  I have the latest version of everything.
    Any ideas?

Solved it myself.  Updating the video and audio drivers fixed it.

  • Audio stopping and starting and video freezes

  • Audio stops playing partway into mpeg4 video

I recently added an mpeg4 video into my itunes library. It plays just fine in itunes. However, when I try to watch it on the ipod, the audio disappears half-way through the video. The video does continue to play in its entirety, but without sound. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I have the same problems. I am using Adobe Premiere to output an uncompressed Quicktime Mov and since I cannot control the bitrate with Quicktime Pro when converting to iPod format I now use VLC to convert to a iPod compatible file. Up to now I use mpg4v with 1024KBit as Video and mpg4a with 128KBit as Audio. I output a quicktime mov file.
When I convert the video with Quicktime Pro using custom MP4 settings so I can play the file on iPod I get video glitches every 10 seconds when the picture gets like a washed effect and gets very unsharp.
It plays fine in iTunes and Quicktime but when playing on the iPod the audio just stops after approx. 15 minutes. Happened with 3 different Movie files. Everytime close to 15:20 into the video. All 3 Videos are very different in total length.
When encoding the initial Quicktime File I use Apple Photo JPEG for uncompressed video and QDesign2 Audio encoding.
Is there any step that might indicate a problem in the whole process?
Since we got a couple of iPod here, we also had the same problem on every other one we tried. All use the 1.2 Firmware and iTunes 7.02.
    Any help appreciated.

  • Inserting Stopwatch/Timer (1/100 seconds) Into Video Clip

Hi, I would like to insert a stopwatch/timer into a video clip that will start at a specific point and will measure the elapsed time in one hundredths of a second. I have tried using the Adobe Premiere SMPTE timecode video effect but it only counts upwards in seconds. With the Premiere SMPTE timecode the numbers to the right of the seconds are the frame count numbers and not tenths and one hundredths of a second. I am not sure if I need to use an overlay video of a timer or if it can be done with an Adobe Premiere video effect or imported object? The video is 25fps PAL and is of a sporting event where fractions of a second play a role. Any help most appreciated. Rgds

    Fuzzy,
Yes, that is exactly what I am looking for. Is that a custom timecode or is it a native timecode in After Effects?
I will look into installing the After Effects application if it is a native timecode?

  • Question about reusing "into" videos in multiple projects

I have a short "into" animation that I want to start all my videos with. Is there a good place to put it so that I can access it in any new project I create? What is the best procedure for doing this. I assume it is a common thing to do.
    Thanks,

If you had Motion you could create a Motion Effect or Generator for FCP X. Othewise you could just place it into an Event as you'll always have access to that Event and just drag it over.

  • When recording a slideshow, why does audio stop recording after about 30 seconds even though slides and presentation continues?

I'm doing everything the same and have made many successful slideshow recordings using Keynote, but since updating the Yosemite and then updating Keynote the audio just stops recording after about 30 seconds.
The slides keep on changing and recording the video, but after 30 seconds the audio stops recording even though it seems to be registering the sound and the mic is not muted in Keynote.
Is there some change or new setting I am not aware of that needs to be altered?
Any advice would be helpful as I need to record a lot of presentations.
    OS X Yosemite version 10.10
    Keynote version 6.5
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013)
    2.6 GHz Intel Core i7
    16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
    Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

I can't imagine this will work as the the application is tied into a specific computer and user ID to prevent unauthorised use of single use applications. Copying over has not worked with previous versions of Keynote.
It worked for me. I guess it could be because we bought our Macs together and have home sharing or something. Either way, I'm running Yosemite but with Keynote 6.2.2. and not updating again until Apple do something about this bug.

  • Streaming audio from my IPAD to my Apple TV from Rhapsody application.  when Apple TV go into Screen Saver mode, about 5 minutes after that it stops playing the Audio Stream and goes into Sleep mode.

I am Streaming audio from my IPAD to my Apple TV from Rhapsody application.  when Apple TV go into Screen Saver mode, about 5 minutes after that it stops playing the Audio Stream and goes into Sleep mode.  I am using the Optical Out from the Apple TV to my receiver, the Apple TV is hard Wired to the Network, the IPAD is Wirelessly attached to the network (it continues to play the Audio Stream).  When the Apple TV is turned back on it resumes playing once I manual select it for output from the IPAD.  All device are on current releases of software.  I have no Video hooked up to the Apple TV.  How do I correct this?

Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

  • I've tried 2 different screen capture devices, and in both cases, audio stops recording after 20 or 30 seconds, but video is fine.  The audio disappears

I've tried 2 different screen capture devices, and in both cases, audio stops recording after 20 or 30 seconds, but video is fine.  The audio disappears with both programs.  Does anyone know what is happening with my audio capture?

Update, I took the webcam home over the weekend and tried on my home network and the outcome was the same video fine - audio delayed, is this a Skype for desktop issue?

  • TS1424 I recently bought an ablum from iTunes, but the songs are randomly stopping and skipping about 45 seconds into the song. What is the problem?

I recently bought an ablum from iTunes, but the songs are randomly stopping and skipping about 45 seconds into the song. What is the problem?

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past purchases, delete the current copies from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

  • Audio gets choppy about 30 seconds into the show

I use a variety of programs to make my slideshows (from stills). I'm finding that when I import the Quicktime movie into iDVD and burn the disc, the audio gets very choppy about 30 seconds into the show. It is un-listenable! I burned the same QT movie to DVD using Toast and had no problems. I really like the look of the iDVD opening menu (theme) and would prefer to stay with it. If it's as simple as upgrading to the current version of iDVD, I'll do it. But I'd like to know for sure that doing so will solve the problem. Thanks in advance.
    Lance

Well Lance, I'm just getting into idvd myself. But, rather than make my slideshows with QT and then importing the QT movie into idvd, I've been making the slideshow from scratch inside idvd. I still have the same stills in iphoto and the same audio tracks in itunes so it was only a matter of a couple minutes to remake them. I've never tried it your way to compare the two, but I've had no problems with audio doing it this way. In Preview mode, other disk drive activity may cause an occasional hiccup with audio, but the finished dvd or dvd image file sounds fine. I normally don't run any other apps when working with idvd.

  • Audio on keynote exported quicktime videos cuts out at 50 seconds?

It just started!  When I export my keynote into a Quicktime file, the audio cuts out at 50 seconds.  I have been creating videos a long time with this method and never had problems before.

I am willing to share files with Apple. Mine are copyrighted, but are shareable.
But here's a wrinkle on the problem that puts me a little more in sympathy with Apple engineers, since they may well not have encountered the subtle environments we have that is generating this audio problem.
I was having the same problem you are for several days after I upgraded to Keynote 6.5 and Yosemite 10.10 (running on a mid-2011 MBA). I duplicated a keynote file with audio recorded that cut out after 50 seconds or so: audio stopped on slide 2 even though I had recorded and saved the whole 50 minute presentation. I store my keynote presentations along with Quicktime movies (m4v) and downsampled mp4 files in a sparsebundled disk image. I created a new, larger disk image yesterday because I was running out of storage space. To do that, I copied all the files in the sparsebundle to a temporary folder on a backup drive (My Mac Book Air is running out of storage space). Then, I deleted the old sparse bundle, created the new one, and copied all the files back.
After reading your latest post, I thought I would try again. I opened my test Keynote file, now copied to the new sparse bundle, and the audio works! I can hear the audio in the Keynote file when I "Play Recorded Slideshow" from the Play menu. I also exported to a Quicktime m4v movie and the audio is all there. The Keynote file size didn't change during all this: still 36.8MB, which is typical for the audio recorded ones. I start with a 2 to 4MB presentation of 15-20 slides, record audio, and the file size increases to 35-40MB. Then the Quicktime m4v is typical 200-300MB. This one is: 239.4MB.
So, although the bug is not squashed, take heart and don't delete those files! Your audio may actually be in there somewhere.

  • Audio stops playing after a few seconds when importing a HD clip

I have CS4 running on Enterprise version of Windows 7 64 bit on the following hardware:
Processor:  Intel i7-970 Hex core Gulftown
    Motherboard: Asus P6X58 Premium
    RAM: 24GB Kingston DDR3 1065
    Video card: Nvidia Geforce9800GT
Four hard drives, system disk is stand alone and the other three are split in groups of RAID0
When I import a HD clip from file (EXCAM EX 720p60p) the audio will play in the source window or the timeline for a few seconds and then quit.  If I edit the clip in Soundbooth, from the timeline, the waveform quits at the point that the audio stopped in the timeline.
This behavior is very sporatic; sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't.  Closing the program and restarting sometimes solves a certain clips audio problem, sometimes it doesn't. Yesterday I worked all day without it happening but today it is happening every few clips.  Some I can fix by restarting Premiere, some I can't.
If I import the clip from Bridge to Soundbooth the audio waveform is just fine.
I have seen this problem discussed several years ago but never resolved in that discussion.  Any ideas?

Yes!  I imported the entire BPAV in a file on my scratch drive under the specific project folder.  From there I am using the media browser in CS4 to either preview the clip or import it into the project.  The audio drops out whether it is previewed or imported.  And as I have said, this behavior is not consistant.  I have yet to find a repeatable cure.
Also as I have said if I import the offending clip, from the same folder, into Soundbooth using Bridge the waveform is fine.  If I import the same clip into Soundbooth from the Premiere timeline the waveform goes flat where the audio stopped in Premiere.
    Thanks for the quick replies.
I am readingthe article that was suggested soon.
