Audio stream slowdown/sync with separate video?

Is there an easy way to time shift an audio stream in Leopard (from Internet radio) so it matches a TV broadcast? The TV signal is much slower, and I'd rather listen to the radio announcers. This is for a remote TV broadcast that I'm pulling in over KU satellite.
Is there an audio units add-in or something, or a currently available application that can do this?

Audio Hijack Pro
<http://www.rogueamoeba.com/audiohijackpro/>
In the "Input" tab select the application you use for internet radio and click the "Hijack" button. Make sure the "Mute" button is off.
In the "Effects" tab add AudioUnit Effect > Apple > AUDelay
Se its "dry/wet mix" slider to 100%
It will delay up to 2 seconds. If you need more delay, you can use more than of copy of the effect.

  • The Audio Doesn't Sync with the video

    Hi
I'm a complete novice to captivate and I'm trying to capture
an area within a IE web browser. I choose to add the audio at the
same time as doing the video.
What I get however is the audio does not seem to keep up very
    well with the video capture.
In addition and perhaps this may be connected, if I click on
a link on the webpage I am viewing and scroll up/down the page,
captivate doesn't seem to be able to cope with it.
When I play back the movie, I will see mouse hovering over
and clicking where the relevant button would be had the video
caught up, it's a couple of second behind.
So I guess I have two problems.
I apologise if I'm not providing all the correct information
I would also be happy to create a captivate file and upload it to
explain more clearly what the problem is.
    Regards
    Simon H

Well I seem to be able to solve the video not keeping up with
the scrolling by opting for the "record at high full motion "
    option
I still seem to have the audio problem but what I also can't
solve is that the mouse movement on the screen only shows when you
actually click on a button, I want the mouse to move around so I
can point to certain areas on the screen but without actually
clicking on the links and taking the user away from the current
    view.
Is that possible or does activate only allow the mouse to be
showing moving around the screen if your clicking on an
    object

  • Audio is off sync with videos on Ipod Touch.

My Ipod touch does not want to seem to play the audio in correct sync with my videos anymore. I have not done or changed a thing lately. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks. I am running firmware 1.1.5

Update My iTouch is downgraded to 1.1.5 successfully. I used a pc that had an un updated version of iTunes installed (7.6) and after 2 attempts using the power off + home combination described in the firmware 1.1.5 post, I was able to successfully "restore" to the latest "1.1.5" iTouch software. When the touch reset, before establishing a sync relationship with the pc, I reattached it to my mac and selected "new ipod" rather than restore from backup. I then synced and tested on of the previously screwed up videos. It plays without any audio sync problems. This processes is more or less what the genius bar instructed me to do. I was reluctant to download any software not coming directly from apple. If anyone knows where the firmware file is stored on iTunes PC version, I would greatly appreciate the location. I want to save the file on my mac now that I know this is a good version. When Apple comes out with 2.1, I want to have a fall back.

I too have the same problem.  The audio drop out of sync in about 5 sec in not uncommon for the audio to be 30+ sec behind video.  Apple needs to fix this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   its a joke,  my iphone is all messed up after the last update as well.  at one time not to long ago apple products and software were top rated, not so much any more, more and more problems are showing up and apple is unwilling or unalbe to fix the many issues.  Apple needs to fix the audio sync problem, it not the computer hardware or other software it ITUNES!!!!,  there is no workaround other then hitting pause and hitting pause and hitting pause to temp fix the problem.

  • Bluetooth audio not in sync with video on iPad 2 with iOS 6

I noticed that after I upgraded my iPad 2 to iOS 6, there was a problem with I use my A2DP Bluetooth headset (Jabra Halo) with my iPad 2. The audio is no longer in sync with the video playback! And it's really annoying. This problem does not exist when I plug in a headset to the iPad.
Is anyone else facing this issue? I only has one bluetooth headset so I'm not sure if this is a problem with my Jabra Halo headset or the iOS 6. This used to work without any issues with iOS 5.

  • Audio not in Sync with Video in FCP

Hi People, i'm new to this, hoping to find some support.
I have Final Cut Studio 2, im doing an Apple Pro Training series book - 'Final Cut Pro-Beyond the Basics' and im having a problem of the audio not syncing with the video. If i simply play the sequence, the video is ahead by about 7 seconds, and if i stop and start playback (edit) it remains out of sync. However, if i let the sequence play through and loop, when it restarts at the beginning, it appears fine and all fixed, until i stop plyback and start it again. So, the only way to have it work right (to check my edit) is to continue to let the sequence loop and it fixes itself?? In QT it says the clip is DV 720 * 480, 23.98 fps, and so ive checked that in FCP, the settings are the same, and ive played around extensively with the real time plyback settings and sequence settings, but nothing fixes it apart from letting it play til it loops!!!???
    Has anyone had this??
Am i missing a setting here?? It seems to have been like this since the update to 10.5.3
    Thanx!

Hi People, i have found the answer to my question and thought i might post the cause so anyone else who gets caught can get it sorted.
The answer ended up being that i had an aggregate device as my audio interface (because i have 2 audio interfaces) and so the audio was being delayed in being processed. So i deleted the device in my Audio MIDI Setup (audio page) and thhus, its all good. Quite painfull after a FC reinstall! Ha!!
    Cheers

  • I just need a simple answer about audio being outa sync with video!!!!

I've been searching the forms but found no straight answer on how to make the audio in sync with the video when using videora to transfer movies. The movie plays fine until about 10 minutes, then it starts getting way off. I am tired so can someone come to my rescue?????????
    Windows XP   Windows XP Pro

The problem you are describing is a known issue with Videora. The author of the software even posted that problem on their website:
    Known Bugs
    Audio/Video sync
Problem - Output files can be out-of-sync. While no set pattern has been established, it seems to be more frequent with input files of 23.976 fps, non-DVD rips, and WMV/MPG filetypes.
Workaround solutions - Try the custom option '-async 1'. If the disconnect gradually increases over time, setting 29.97 fps sometimes gets rid of the problem regardless of the input fps. You can also use AviSynth to assume the FPS and have the audio sync to that. If it's a sudden disconnect, check your VOB Cell settings in DVD Decrypter settings per this thread. Otherwise, test with an AviSynth script per the DaProphecy's method in the FAQ. For non-DVD files, PSPVideo 9 may be a good short-term solution until the converter stabilizes some more or try something like AviDemux
I would suggest that you do some more research and switch to a different converter.

  • Audio not in Sync with Video

When I play back the video from the camera, the audio is not synchronized with the video. The video appears to be behind by about 2 seconds. Is this normal or is there some setting to correct the problem?

Yes, there is a simple correction.
The problem is in your computer, it lacks enough power to operate to your satisfaction.
This has been posted before....... I reciently purchased a powerfull laptop because i could not enjoy my videos on my 2.4 mhz single core older computer.
Your camcorder is more powerfull than your computer is...Ha,Ha,Ha....
You can do as I did, set your Vado HD to VGA mode, this will ease the requirements of your computer a little...but then when you get a modern computer you will wish you had all your videos in HD+.........

  • Audio out of sync halfway through video.

I recorded some game play (skyrim) and did a voice over with Mirillis Action! The video and the voice over are in separate tracks.
The weird part is that the video and voice over match up at the start but once it gets about halfway through you can start noticing that the audio comes out of sync with the video and it only gets worse from there.
I record in 1080p at 30fps using AMD App acceleration. The video is in MP4 and audio is in WAV (using this over MP4 Audio because WMP refuses to play MP4 Audio files)
If the beginning is synced then the ending is off and if the ending is synced the beginning is off.
Any tips on why this might be happening or how to fix it?
P.S. I had to record them in separate tracks because otherwise when I talked over the game, it would have some strange background noise.
If you need any further information please let me know.

If you screen capture program records to a Variable FRAME Rate you will need to convert it to edit in PPro

  • TS1718 Movie audio does not sync with movie

    Hi,
The movies I have bought through iTunes store does not work properly. I bought two last week and when trying to play them back over the weekend, the audio is not sync'd with the movie playback. I have a Winodws 8 laptop and enough space for the films to be played. The software is all up to date and can therefore see no problem as to why this should not be working. Does anybody know of any way to resolve this to allow me to watch the films?
    Thanks,
    G

    Hello grs1989,
Thank you for providing the details about the issue you are experiencing with audio out of sync with video in iTunes.  I found an article with steps to address issues with audio and video playback being out of sync:

  • Audio out of sync with waveform

We have 3 new computers at work with Final Cut Studio on all of them. Since we got them 2 or 3 weeks ago everything has been fine except today. 2 of them all of a sudden get audio out of sync. You can tell the audio waveform is inline with the video but the audio coming through the speakers are off and get worse as the clip plays. We are recording with xd1 cameras and importing using a card reader and using the xd transfer software. The actual .mov file when played outside of FCP is fine, it's just when it's imported into FCP that the problem occurs. I even have a project that I finished 2 weeks ago, it was fine at the time but when I played it today the audio was all of a sudden off. I've checked the settings and I'm clueless as to what to do. Any suggestions?
I don't know if this makes a difference but the computer that this problem isn't happening too has been updated online. The other 2 haven't. We don't have internet access all the time. I'm thinking an update might cure the problem but we didn't have time to update it today.

I think I figured out what the problem is. We have AJA Kona card installed in the computer but we are at a temporary location so setting the FCP to AJA Kona card but listening through the regular computer speaker output is what is causing the problem. When I setup the FCP to XDCAM 1060i it works fine.

  • Audio out of sync with multi-cam

    Hi *,
I searched the forum with no big success. Many people seem to have the no-audio problem with multicam. My problem is different.
I enabled the multi-cam feature in CS4.1 in the preview (source) monitor. I have 2 video tracks (1 MPG, 1 AVCHD). Both appear and are in sync. Also the audio is in sync as long as the multi-cam feature is turned off. As I turn it on and play the monitor, it's totally out of sync with the video. Totally means, that it's really about 40 minutes away.
    Any ideas?

My only recommendation is to just not use GOP-based media.  It's a bad idea at it's core and issues like this are not uncommon.

  • Audio out of sync with optical out

    Hi,
I've connected audio from ATV 2 times to my receiver. My Sony television has an optical out connection so it can act as a passthru for audio to my receiver. However, it's always stereo, I can't get surround from it. Apple says it sends the same audio over HDMI and optical out. So I connected ATV directly to my receiver with the optical output. Result: I do have surround now. So I guess my Sony is at fault for not passing along surround.
    This is my setup:
    1) ATV -> HDMI -> Sony LCD -> optical out -> receiver
    2) ATV -> optical out -> receiver
    My problem:
Setup 1) gives me no surround but audio and video are synced perfectly.
Setup 2) does give me surround, but audio and video are OUT of sync.
My video is generated by Handbrake 0.9.3 and contains both AAC stereo and AC3 surround passthru.
It's strange, because if you have this audio delay problem you would think it's caused by the television because that's an extra device sitting between source and receiver.
Any ideas what is causing this problem? Is Handbrake not able to add AC3 correctly or is ATV playing sound in sync over HDMI but not in sync over optical out?
    Thanks,
    Jef

Thinking about this a bit more, I think I could have an idea as to what the problem is - the AppleTV firmware. I believe that there is a timing difference between HDMI and the optical audio output. Let me explain...
My AppleTV is hooked up using HDMI for video only (direct to my TV) and the optical is hooked up directly to my audio receiver. Since there is no setting in the AppleTV menu to choose the output for the audio, I have to assume that it's sending audio through BOTH the optical output and the HDMI output simultaneously. If the timing for the audio signal is slightly different, then that could cause the audio to be out of sync. Since the HDMI signal carries both audio and video, it makes sense that it would remain tightly in sync. But since the optical is separated it could, theoretically, not be synced with the video.
As I said, both of these AppleTV units have been hooked up the identical way that they are now and have never exhibited this problem until the 2.3/2.3.1 firmware updates.
I also noticed that unplugging the unit from power for 10 minutes, plugging it back in and testing the identical file that minutes earlier was out of sync, that the video and audio were much closer to being in sync. Does this make any sense?

I used Roxio VHS to DVD for Mac (have iMac with Snow Leopard) and the audio does not synch with the video when playing in iMovie.  Any suggestions to fix?

Thanks for the reply.  I tried playing with detaching the audio in iMovie, but with 20+ hours of video to correct, it would take too long.  After 28 hours, Corel/Roxio tech support replied that it is a known bitrate mismatch problem and they have no real fix.  I strongly suggest not to buy this product.
