Audio Stuttering for Satellite C855-S5350

Hello. I am currently experiencing some audio stuttering on my Satellite C855-s5350. I was wondering how one goes about fixing the problem. It uses Realtek HD Audio.

Was it working previously? Try using System Restore to restore a previous restore point from before this became an issue.

  • Satellite C855-S5350 powers on then off after a few seconds

I am fixing a Satellite C855-S5350 for a family member because the unit is out of warranty. It turns on for a few seconds, the optical drive spins and the fan blows, but then it turns off. When it's plugged in, it does this on a loop. It's only 2 years old, so it should be working. I opened it up and cleaned the fan out of dust with a can of air, I've tried clearing the CMOS and the 30 seconds power button without any power cable or battery, I've tried switching the 2 sticks of RAM in every possible combination, but all this is to no avail. Anyone have any idea what this could be? It's frustrating and also makes me a little bit ticked at Toshiba.
    Thanks

To reset, press and hold the Home and power buttons until the silver apple appears.
I would delete the app, reset the phone and then download the app again. Your calendar information should be stored on the phone as Week Cal uses the Calendar app information.
    Best of luck.

    Hi
The REALTEK B/G/N(1X1)RTL8723AE was built in other notebook series.
Therefore I would recommend downloading the driver from other notebook series.
    For example:

  • Lost Windows 8 Recovery CD for Satellite C855

    Hi,
    So on the 18th Dec 2012 I bought a Toshiba Satellite C855
    (Intel Core i5 - 3210M 2.5/3.1 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD, Windows 8, USB 3.0, Bluetooth)
After a while I put windows 7 on the laptop.
Now I want to reformat and put windows 8 back on and upgrade to windows 8.1.
The trouble is I cant find my recovery CD.
There is no windows Key on a sticker on the laptop or box.
There is just a windows 8 sticker under the laptop but no key.
I've read that I can request a replacement CD key but I have no idea how to do this.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Kind regards

  • Toshiba Satellite C855-S5350 keyboard types wrong characters

Hi all!I have the above named Toshiba laptop with keyboard problems. When typing, the keyboard will instead type another different character. Example, When I press "C", the computer will type "cd" and also brings up that menu for choosing second screen (PC screen only, duplicate........)When I press "escape", the computer will truly "escape" but will also type "q"When I press "d", again, "cd" is typed. When I press the space bar, space will be applied together with [Caps lock will type QqQqQq as much as I continue pressing it.J will type in "mj"M will also type "mj"S will type "xs" and also apply the Fn key for decreasing screen brightness (F2)V will type "v4"X will do same as 'S' above.Num 4 (top row) will type "v4" as in 'V' above. What I have tried,Connected an external keyboard - It worked fine.Booted with a linux live CD- typing problem is still there also. Please can someone let me know how I can solve this and what might have caused it? I'm afraid of having to replace the keyboard (as it smells so to me). Any workaround? Thanks.

This appears to be a very common fault with the Satellite Laptops.  My C55-A5249 is just over a year old and has had excellent care then all of the sudden the keyboard stops functioning. Of coarse it didn't happen until after the warranty was up. But I called Tech support anyway. They walk me through some issues that they could not resolve and sent me on to Another repair department (Closed on weekends).  This left me time to play arround.  I was actually able to attach a wireless keyboard to the laptop and it worked just great. I am currently in the process of "Refreshing" (hold down the ShiftKey and click on Restart from the power options button) the laptop back to defaults by hold down the ShiftKey and click on Restart from the power options button.  This is a gigantic pain by the time you restore everything.  Did I mention: "I HATE WINDOWS 8.  Anyway.. I'll let you know what happens next.

  • Toshiba Satellite C855-SS530 touchpad issues: left-click randomly releases

Brand new Toshiba Satellite C855-SS530 Windows 8. My touchpad will very often respond erratically. As I hold down on the left button and scroll, often times scroll will randomly release and then sometimes re-engage. This will happen with web pages, holding windows, etc. I'll be dragging a window or file or what-have-you, it will release the hold of it's own accord (without me releasing the left button) then sometimes re-engage (picking up other random files, selecting stuff on the desktop or other random things I didn't want to do). Most often I am holding down the left button and scrolling down a web page, and it will randomly "let go" of the scroll (before I have let go of the left button). Occassionally the touchpad will not immediately respond. It's too annoying to keep this laptop.
It isn't clear to me whether this is hardware or software related...Could be a bad button, bad touchpad, loose wire, or even a memory-glitch error which disrupts the touchpad signal. Does anyone know if this is a known issue with the Satellite C855-S5350. The touchpad is vital. It can't glitch out even 1% of the time. If I can't solve the issue, it'll likely be returned. I turned off most of the Synaptics silly stuff (edge swipe, etc) and it didn't resolve anything. There are nearly no services running eating up RAM so I have no idea why the touchpad would be freezing up...

  • Where can I buy a keyboard for Satellite C855D?

    Hello
Sorry for my english's mystake, i'm french.
    So,
i've broken the keyboard of my laptop (Satellite C855D) with water.
I took it of and i use now a USB keyboard.
I'm looking to buy a new keyboard but the prices are expensive
. I was thinking that maybe, here, you could give me a website where i can buy a good keyboard not too expansive.
    Can someone help me?
    Thank you.
    Matt

    > Which website should i use?
Sorry mate but I really dont understand why you asking for something like that?
There are millions of online dealers who offer notebook parts in different countries.
Choose the best, for you available in *YOUR* country.
I dont know if the best offer for you means the cheapest offer for me the best offer isnt the cheapest one.
I prefer online dealers with good reputation and not with the cheapest price.
    >and, if "Such keyboards are used by different notebook manufacturers", how do i surch for it?
    Search simply for Satellite C855 / C855D / C850 keyboard
Then you will get some google hits providing the compatible part!
    > Using the number writtent in the back? Cause, when i use this number "H000040810" to search on internet, i only have websites that work with toshiba.
Of course you will get ONLY the keyboards used by Toshiba because these are Toshiba part numbers!
If you would contact the authorized service provider in YOUR country, you will get the original part.

Won't hurt to reinstall the driver. There are three listed for your model. The first two have the same version and release date, but the file size is different. Try them all.

    Satellite C855-27L Part number PSCBWE

On the driver/update site there is only for win 7 a driver for the cam... is there a fix to let work the cam on win 8.1 or where can I get a correct driver for win 8.1?????
Hope someone can help or give me a answer why there is no driver solution for this built in cam
    Best regards

    Hi
Have you upgraded your machine following instructions from http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/generic/windows8_1-message/ ?
Generally speaking webcam driver for Win8/Win8.1 doesn't exist and device uses Windows drivers. Thats the reason why you cannot find it on Toshiba download page.

  • Windows 8.1 update-WON'T for satellite laptop-help!

I have been trying to update my windows 8.1 to the latest 8.1 update for x64 based systems (KB2919355).  I got the message that I needed to update to this along with a security update needed for windows explorer 11 (KB2936068).  I have tried to download it the past 8 hours with my antivirus turned on and off and it says it was not downloaded, try again.  I have been trying again for the last 8 hours and have run out of patience.  I tried from my computer's windows update and have tried from Microsoft Windows stand alone download site and still can't get it to download.  The green bar goes across for about 10 minutes and then says it was unsuccessful and try again.  I have a Toshiba Satellite S55-A5295 model with plenty of Ram and hard drive memory.  I have also tried both over my wi-fi and hardwired to my cable modem via ethernet cable-again to no avail.  I called Toshiba and they want to charge me to help.  I called Microsoft and they want to charge me to help.  Their price is about 1/4 cost of my computer, and my computer is only 6 months old.  Toshiba tells me the warranty only covers hardware--not software like Microsoft Windows updates.  PLEASE HELP!!

  • Satellite C855-S5194 Windows 8 Recovery OS and software

    Hi,
I just bought a Satellite C855-S5194 with Win8  and already created system recovery disks. Now I bought an Office and installed it through Microsoft website (no disk). I would like to create an image for the case the hard drive is broken and not accessible, which includes both the OS and the Office that I installed.
I read from the User Guide that the system recovery disks can restore the OS and preinstalled software, but how about the software that I bought from MS?
Please let me know if there is any way to recover both OS and software. Thank you in advance!

I am not a computer expert,..
So please pay attention, read things carefully, follow any links, think about it, and don't jump to hasty conclusions. Better to do more reading instead of typing a vague message to me.
I'll be repeating myself now, but I'll try to put more words in..
My No. 1 item explains that Windows 8 contains Windows 7's backup. You can google that and learn all about it. In particular, you'll learn that it enables you to create an image of the entire disk on external media. I'll save you some trouble and give you places to do your reading.
Learn more about system image backup
Back up your programs, system settings, and files
Restore your computer from a system image backup
Notice that when you create a system image of the hard drive, you can restore it either to the existing disk or to a brand new disk.
We create one of these images (with third-party tools) every single day for every computer and retain ten generations. Backup is our most important application.
My No. 2 item talks about a repair disk. That's the one you need when you are restoring to a new hard drive. Since Windows is not running, you need a way to begin the restore process. That's one of the functions of the repair disk.
You'll see a link in the Windows 7 File Recovery area like this.
       Create a system repair disc
My No. 3 item talks about fixing things on your existing drive. Feel free to ignore it if you like. Maybe other viewers will find it of interest. When/if you find that Windows is broken, you'll begin to appreciate the various ways of recovering. Refresh is new in Windows 8.

  • IDT HD Audio stuttering 3d apps/games/tf2 - Windows 7 x64 - Pavilion dv7-4113tx

As per the rules I need to state:
I am a HP employee, my views/opinions/etc are my own and do not represent those of HP.
    This is cross-posted from freezes/lockups.
I would file some sort of bug report - but I wouldn't know where to start, I don't work in an area that has anything to do with manufacturing HP products; and this is my free time now  and I don't have intranet access .
I recently picked up a HP Pavilion dv7-4113tx Entertainment Notebook PC [ XV780PA ] for my personal use and overall it's been pretty good. It comes with windows 7 Home Premium x64 bit.
there is however an issue that I must bring up in regard to gaming, or i would assume any intensive 3d application, most notably Valve games, my test of choice is Team Fortress 2.
The game will work fine in native resolution - I get around 100-120fps but about every 30 seconds - 2 minutes, there is a audio/video stutter (by stutter, it will repeat the last .5 seconds of audio about 3-4 times in a loop while the screen will freeze on where the first audio stutter started), which will cause the game to 'freeze' for approximately 2 seconds and then continue where you left off.
Team fortress 2 is an incredibly time critical multiplayer online game, and this delay essentially means my e-death on multiple occasions.
I initially thought it was the graphics card, or the drivers - I upgraded the drivers to the latest on the ATI site, that increased my fps, but the stuttering was still there. After searching around on the internet a bit, i found a suggestion to disable the audio driver (device manager lists it as - IDT High Definition Audio CODEC) as a test - so I did so.
The game purrs like a kitten - absolutely no stuttering. my score went up immediately
So, my next step was to try and get some Updated Drivers for the IDT Audio device (note, i cannot find a model name anywhere in the hp specs - or on the internet really) - I found out IDT themselves cannot release drivers, that these can only be obtained through OEMs.
    which brings me to here.
now - the closest I have found to the drivers I required are here:  IDT High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver for Microsoft Windows 7
Note: - it says on the page that they are 32 bit drivers - but I've found they work with the 64 bit version of windows.
these worked a little better - it fixed another annoying issue - the fact if you use the volume controls in a fullscreen application that it will switch back to the desktop to display the on screen slider bar of the volume going down (which was arguably redundant as windows 7 displays the speaker volume in the bottom right hand corner) - and it just turns the audio down as intended.
however - the stuttering is still very noticeably present .
I then tried to use the HP Support assistant  to run automated diagnostics and troubleshoot... which then downloaded the old drivers that gave me that fullscreen volume control issue back again - so i assume the original drivers.
So I installed the other drivers again.
My next test will be to use an external USB or firewire soundcard to see if this will allow me have games with sound.
Can an appropriate agent at HP please address this concern and notify when this bug will be fixed - IDT says they work with OEM's to fix issues regularly on the IDT link above.
I believe this is such an issue that will likely require a bug fix.

    Hi ozDerek,
