Audio system interferences with Wireless mouse

Hi folks!
This is one of the most incredible thing I have never seen, in my whole life.
Let's start...
I have a Trust250SP wireless mouse and I'm using the onboard audio. When I listen to MP3, MIDI, CDAudio (digitalized, cannot try direct cdaudio mode ¿?), WAV, etc.  my wireless mouse doesn't work (or work extremely slow) untill I approach it upto 15 cm from the antenna; however, listening to radio or microphone, everything is ok.
If I mute the whole audio, then the mouse responses again; if I unmute it, the mouse doesn't work. If I mute the Wave input, mouse works; after unmutting it, mouse doesn't work. If I stop/pause winamp (or powerdvd, etc.), mouse responses; if I resume/play winamp, mouse doesn't response.
I tried to unplug the three audio cables (5.1 audio) but it doesn't matter. I also try to unplug my 5.1 amplifier, with the same behavior.
What does all that have in common? When the nVidia Mixer Spectrum Analizer works, the mouse doesn't response and, when the Spectrum Analizer doesn't work (for radio input, microphone, etc.), then the mouse works fine.
As far as I can remember, I update my nVidia drivers to version 5.10 a couple of weeks ago. Before that, I believe my mouse was working fine all the time. I'm willing to bet that version 5.10 is the cause of all my problems.
IMHO, this is NOT an IRQ conflict or something like that because I tried a standard ps/2 mouse (not wireless) and everything works fine. Even my wireless mouse works fine when it's very very close to the antenna; so, the only explanation (for me) is that the audio system is interfiering my wireless mouse.
Any ideas? (please, I hope so)
PS: how can I uninstall the 5.10 drivers and install the old ones?

I tried both channels on my mouse with the same result. I also brought the antenna as far as I could and... same result
Any more ideas? The strangest is that all this  didn't happen a time ago.
How can I remove the nVidia drivers?

  • Problems with wireless mouse/keyboard after upgrade to snow leopard

    Hi!
I am wondering if someone has some insight for me.  I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard from Tiger. I have been using a Logitech S 530 wireless keyboard/mouse combo for a few years.  I am now having problems with them irratically.
    1. When on line and the page is large, I often cannot move the blue bar at the bottom of the screen to scroll to the right. What happens is like a stutter; as I am dragging the bar, it and the page shake rapidly side-to-side. Sometimes, I can drag it to the right, but as soon as I let go, it snaps back to the left.  This does not happen in Word.
    2. When in boxes with dropdown options, only occasionally does that happen.  The dropdown either doesn't show, or it flashes quickly.  Sometimes it will work after clicking many times. This happens with dropdown menus as well as search boxes that have dropdown choices for previous searches or suggested searches a la Google.
    3. When I use my function key or mouse to display all windows, I can't choose the one I want.  Regardless of which one I put my cursor over, only the left-most one is highlighted and comes to the front when I click.
    4. There is a varying lag. Sometimes the system is responsive, and other times there is a lag of varying lengths before the system responds to the mouse action (click, drag, zoom, etc.)
    5. For a while, my left mouse button wouldn't work.  I reconfigured it, that seems to have done the trick.
    6. Today, I can't open any of the menu items on Firefox.  I can move the cursor there, but when I click on any of them, nothing happens. This is okay in Safari.
I have disconnected and reconnected the usb, restarted the computer, and tried to reinstall the software for the mouse and keybord. When I did that, I got a message saying it couldn't install on the current OS, so I went to Logitech and dowloaded and installed the latest version (which indicated it is for OS X 10.6.8.)
I don't know if this is a Snow Leopard problem, but it started sometime after I upgraded.  Thanks in advance for any help!
    Donna

Update all your third party software  or uninstall and reinstall 10.6 versions.
If your going to 10.7, be warned a lot of software will not work at all and your 10.5 era machine will be slow, perhaps even have problems as 10.7 is problematic on older hardware.

IMO save for a new 10.8 machine after this summer.

  • TS3048 can't scroll up and down with wireless mouse, I have checked setting and everything looks good.  Any suggestions on what else I can check?

My wireless mouse has stopped scrolling up and down.  I have checked my settings and everything looks good.  Any suggestions on what else to check?

    Hi:
I wish my suggestion had gotten you further.
I do suggest you try to connect the keyboard again.  The request for a number is a step in it trying to pair.  If it gets by the number, it sometimes takes a little while to get connected.  If you are unable to get it connected and want a new one, I have been using Apple Bluetooth keyboards for years - and I like them. The one I have (the newest model) only uses two batteries and is very thin.
Speaking of batteries, if you are not already doing so, you might consider rechargeables.  I have a drawer full of them and use a 15 minute charger.  I go tired of buying batteries and rechargeables are environmentally friendly to boot. At the moment, I use 2450 mAh Energizers and a 15 minute Energizer charger (all purchased new on eBay at a very reasonable price).
I am far from an iPad "expert," although I have one.  If my suggestion below does not help, post your question in a separate thread in the iPad forum.
I had a terrible time syncing my iCal on my Mac with my iPad iCal (confusing - hopefully it makes sense).  I quit using iCloud as that added to the confusion. There is a facility to one-time sync items.  When you connect your computer to your iPad, iTunes opens.  The system begins a process (automatic backup and so on). After it finishes, you can click on "info."  At the bottom of the screen, there is an advanced section.  You can select any of the items and then force it to sync. The iCal information from your computer would be deposited on the iPad.
After all that, I do not use a Google calendar so the information may be worthless to you.
If you want to reset the iPad to factory settings, you can do that when it is connected to iTunes (one of the options).  Me being me, I try never to erase anything.

  • Problems with wireless mouse in win xp sp2

I recently installed Windows XP2 in a Bootcamp 3.0 partition on my iMac 27". After installing the Apple drivers from the Mac OSX disk everything seems to work fine except for the Magic Mouse which does not respond at all. A wired USB mouse works fine, and, strangely eonough, when I access the Bootcamp partition through VMWare Fusion 3.0, the Magic Mouse works fine.
I tried uninstalling and re-installing the Apple drivers but that didn't work. When I look in Device Manager in Windows, under Bluetooth Radios, there is a Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator at Location:Apple Wireless Mouse and an Apple Wireless Mouse at Location:0. Could this be causing the conflict? I tried uninstalling the Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator but it gets automatically re-installed at the same location when I reboot Windows.
Any suggestions on what I can do?
    Thanks in advance
    Javed Shakoor

    Hi Stefan,
Thanks for your response. As you advised I set a System Restore point and installed Bootcamp 3.1. After I restarted the computer, the message "Found New Hardware: Apple Wireless Mouse" appeared briefly above the task bar, then it disappeared. The usual message which comes after this, telling you that the new hardware is ready for use, did not appear.
And whats more important, the wireless mouse still refuses to work!
When I go to Bluetooth Devices in the Windows Control Panel, the Apple Wireless Keyboard is shown as connected, but there is a "macbook 1's mouse" in the list which is not shown as connected.
As I said earlier I am still running on Win XP SP2. I am wondering maybe SP2 doesn't work with the new Apple wireless mouse. Do you think I should set another System Restore point and upgrade to SP3?
In the Windows Device Manager, under Bluetooth Radios, there are two devices:
    1. AppleBroadcom Built-in Bluetooth at Location 0 (Bluetooth USB Host Controller}
    2. Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator at Location on Apple Broadcom Built-in Bluetooth
Both these devices are shown as working properly. However, does it seem to you there is a conflict there?
Thanks for your help so far, and apologies for the long list of questions.

  • Audio systems compatible with 3G iphone

I purchased an Iipod audio system for use with my new 3g phone. It doesn't work well. There is audio noise and phone noise. Are there audio systems that will work with the 3g phone?

    Randy Fast wrote:
One's that are marked, "Works with iPhone". Check Apple's online store, you can find most of them at various retailers and not just from Apple.
You could also try putting your iPhone into air plane mode while in the speaker system. It sounds like it's getting interference from the iPhone's cell radios.
The same thing here. My Apple IPOD Touch does not put out any noise when audio output is to a radio through a 3.5mm wire. But....the Apple Iphone 2nd generation does put this noise through the radio. I would think that in FM there would not be any noise.
Now I use my best application to listen to radio stations Wunder Radio. IPOD touch all is great. IPHONE noise on the radio. I purchased the IPHONE to beable to listen to different radio stations while driving where I am not connected to WIFI.
Is there any fix for this?
If I switch at Airplane Mode off Wunder radio will not connect to any stations and I am not able to access the internet.

  • Problems with wireless mouse, keyboard

Since last year, I've been trying to get the Apple wireless mouse and keyboard to work efficiently, without success. Even when both work, they eat batteries voraciously. Moreover, the connection to my G5 is constantly being lost, and is very difficult to reestablish.

    Dear Robert,
This could be an issue with your bluetooth board. Probably the board is not functioning well or the signals are really weak hence there is a quicker battery drain on both mouse and key board. You can check the settings of the wireless keyboard and mouse on the system preference and check. Also It will be a good idea to reset the PMU once and re-pair the device together.
Note: Dont mix used and unused batteries , also when testing try new batteries which meet the specification.
    Hope this information is helpful.
    Good Day!

  • Wired keyboard with wireless mouse

I just got a new iMac with wireless keyboard and mouse. I hate the new compact keyboard. If I buy a plugged in keyboard would I be able to use my wireless mouse?
Sure lost a lot of capability with this "baby" keyboard.

Yes, you can use your wireless Mighty Mouse with a wired keyboard.

  • Mac mini setup with wireless mouse and keyboard

Bought a new mini with wireless keyboard and mouse. Turns on, picks up the mouse and as soon as the registration setup window starts the connection is lost. It never picked up the keyboard. Apple support said it is not possible to set up a new mini with the wireless accessories so go buy wired ones. Is this really true? Is there a way to skip the registration window, install the wireless keyboard and mouse? Has anyone else had this problem?
If what the phone support guy said is true then I am a very unhappy new Mac purchaser. Nowhere on the Mac mini site or even in the instruction booklet does it say that you have to have the wired accessories and now apparently I'll have to buy two of everything. Total garbage.

Can you beg/borrow or steal any ("Windows") USB keyboard and mouse?  They should get you going.  You'll only need them for a few minutes when starting up, once.
"Garbage" doesn't endear yourself when asking for help on an Apple board though!

  • One of USB ports not working with wireless mouse USB receiver (MBP mid-2009

    Hi,
I've got a weird problem with one of the USB ports (the one next to SD card slot). I use a Logitech VX Nano (wireless) mouse.
When I plug the usb receiver to the USB port, no device can be detected. But when trying the other USB port, all works fine.
I also tried using a usb extension cable with the USB port (problematic one). All works fine again.
The same happens with windows xp pro.
    Any help appreciated.
    Cheers,

  • How do I eliminate horizontal scrolling with wireless mouse?

Is there a way to disable just the horizontal scrolling on a wireless mouse?  I have Mac OS X 10.6.8.  I've searched Google and found several sources that recommend typing "defaults write com.apple.driver.Apple BluetoothMultitouch.mouse MouseHorizontalScroll -bool NO" in the Terminal window but it does not work.  Any help would be appreciated.

It will only last until the next startup, but
Open Terminal (in your Applications/Utilities folder):
    Copy/paste and hit Return:
defaults write com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouch.mouse MouseHorizontalScroll -bool NO
For this to take effect, turn your mouse off and then on again from the power switch
    To reverse
defaults write com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouch.mouse MouseHorizontalScroll -bool YES

  • Happy with macbook, dissaponted with wireless mouse

the wireless mouse is terrible. it has some kind of delay and doesn't scroll very well. anyone else have the same issues? what do you reccomend?

Make sure you have all of the latest updates for both the mouse and for Bluetooth. Bluetooth can be a little finicky the frist time you use it, but eventually it will be fine.

  • Slow system boot with wireless keyboard

I have a new Mac Book Pro with OS X Lion. Attached I have a Thunderbolt display, magic mouse and Apple wireless keyboard. My system just runs perfect, but sometimes it uses a long time to boot. Today I've found out that it only happens, when I first turn on the wireless keyboard and after that boot the Mac Book Pro. If the keyboard is turned off while booting, it's very fast and if I turn on the keyboard after booting the system, it stays fast. But not if the keyboard is turned on before booting.
Does somebody else have the same problem? Does someone has a solution for that?
    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hi...
You actually provided the solution yourself. Or rather the workaround.
Wait for login screen to show before turning on wireless devices.
I asume you are seeing a grey progressbar during boot when you have this issue.
If that's the case, it's actually booting in to save mode.
It's a known issue. Search for grey prograssbar in the forum.

    Hello,
Should I be able to install OS X on a MacBook with a wireles mouse?

  • Won't play in home audio system

My wife's 5th generation Nano will not play through my home audio system connected with a monster rca cable at the system end and connects to the ipod through the ipod connector (no sound comes through my system, only sound is from the nano speaker). It works fine in both boom boxes that we have.  My classic ipod 30gb works fine in my home system.
Is there an adaptor that needs to be purchased?

Contact the vendor of your home audio system.  They should be able to tell you the adapters you need.
