Audio tracks are auto muting during playback...

Is anyone else experiancing auto-muting of a selected audio track when the play button is toggled? It is very annoying, and i'm wondering if its a bug or whether i have messed up some settings? At first i though it was only on track i had used the bounce in place feature (.bip   but it happens to any audio track that is selected when the play is toggled!
Help?

Thanks for the suggestion Jody. Would this work in 3.0.3 as I
am not on 3.5 yet? I tried adding this to the fms.ini for 3.0.3 and
nothing changed. It may also be worth noting that I am having the
issue even with only a single user connected.
When the client sends a message to the server to play my
"demo" the server calls the following lines of code:
application.mainStream = Stream.get("foo");
application.mainStream.play("shortDemo", 0, -1, false,
application.myVODConn);
application.mainStream.play("liveEncoderVideo", -1, -1,
false);
This should switch from the currently playing
"liveEncoderVideo" stream to the "shortDemo" and then back.
The myVODConn is getting set up right as I can see the demo
but again the audio just drops out after 2-3 secs. I also tried to
use the AdobeBand sample files and I get the same thing.

Audio Tracks are silent after Narration. Mixer is at 0.0dB on all channels. Audio plays fine when double clicked but is silent when played back on timeline. Narration is fine. Any ideas as to what's happening and how to correct this?

What you described is a known issue with Premiere Elements 12/12.1. I have not been able to reproduce the problem which has been encountered by
    several. But....
Please read about the fix offered by Llamadude99. That specific fix as well as modifications of it have resolved this problem for several.

    Hi
SlideShow in iDVD has a 99 photo limit - more than this and all sorts of error occures.
One can have more than one SlideShow on a DVD = X times 99 photos.
or assemble SlideShows in a movie editor (no limit at least not under 650 photos)
(only limit is Time in iDVD (movie time + MENU time --- 60 min or 120 min on SL-DVD and about twice on DL.-DVD )
    I use
    • iMovie up to HD6 - or -
    • FinalCut any version
As they will give a better quality than iMovie'08 or 09 or 11 can do.

  • Video & Audio Tracks are not connected

For some reason my video and audio tracks are no longer conneted. It used to be when I would click on the video track that the 2 audio tracks that match it would also be highlighted so I could move them together, trim them together, etc. but for some reason now all my video clips that I put on the timeline are seperate (1 video and 2 audio) so I have to highlight all 3 lines to have them stay together, and it will not let me trim or apply transitions to all 3 at the same time. Is there a setting for this?

Make sure the "Link" button is on-- it's the small chain at the top right of the timeline, next to snapping. Once turned on, though, your clips already on the timeline may still lack cohesion; if so, select a video clip and the audio clip(s) that you want to link, and go Modify>Link.

When downloading HD video into FCP my two audio tracks are locked together. Channel one will not separate from channel two. Not good. One channel is my miked talent, the other abient. Any suggestions? I cannot find the problem. Sequence settings? Preference settings?

I think you mean "importing", not downloading.
Downloading is when you copy a file from an Internet server to your computer.
Channel one will not separate from channel two.
    Any suggestions?
Select the two tracks and choose Modify > Stereo Pair
Or you can just use the keyboard shortcut option-L

  • Can the audio for the source monitor be muted during playback?

Seems like a silly question but I like to listen to music on the same workstation while I'm previewing/trimming clips in the source monitor. In this instance I do not need to preview the audio in the clips so I'd rather not hear it while my jams are playing, which keeps me from poking my eye out with a pen after 4 hours of previewing .
I have not been able to locate any mute option for the source monitor so I'm open to suggestions other then using something other than the same workstation (iPod n headphones), which may be the way I go if there is no other option.
    thanks,
    Dave

    Hey Harm,
I can't see the audio tracks in the source monitor (CS4). I only see the audio tracks of clips that are loaded in a timeline. Right now I have a thousand (literally) clips from a season of club volleyball. I have them loaded in bins in the project panel and I am dbl clicking each clip to load it in the source monitor panel (that I have undocked and displayed on a seperate monitor). I have seperate sequences for the types of plays I want to keep, so as I preview/trim in the source monitor I drop what I want to keep in the appropriate timeline/sequence. If there is a way to view the audio tracks in the source monitor without the clips being in a timeline I do not know how.

  • Metronome click recorded onto audio track , can not separate during playbac

I set the metronome for "click during recording only" and for some reason the metronome clicks on this audio track during playback as well. I am recording an audio track from a Kurzweil 2500sx keyboard.
    Please comment ?
    David

Well just hit "c" to turn it off or look for the Metronome symbol in your transport window and turn it off there.
Maybe the Click was recorded onto the Kurzweill track when you recorded it into Logic?

  • Audio tracks are not nesting

So all of a sudden, when I select the audio and video clips and right click > Nest....only the video tracks are being replaced by the nested sequence on the timeline while the audio clips stay intact on the timeline.  When I look at the nested sequence all the audio clips have been copied there.

Ok, I'm officially upgrading this bug. Now, in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014, when I use the "Nest" command I get the same behavior as mentioned above. Except now when I drag the nest into a time line, it acts like the nest is not there and instead drags all the tracks in (6 tracks). Even if I try to drag a sequence into another sequence, it instead drags it in not as a nest, which is something I definitely do every day in CS6, but instead as all the separate tracks.
At this point, I'm starting to feel a bit like a beta tester on an unreleased product. Just a few more of these bugs and I'm going to have to go back to "last years model" CC until an update for 2014 is released.

  • Audio Tracks Are Destructive?

I'm quite new to Premiere, but not so very new to NLEs. The biggest hurdle I'm having with my switch to Premiere is that when I drop a new video+audio file on the timeline, or if I drag an already existing file around on the timeline, and that file's audio track should land on top of any other file's audio clip, the audio clip that was there is suddenly truncated. I would expect that the audio clips would just be stacked on top of one another, but it appears that any audio clip that gets all or partially "hidden" by another track is actually destroyed.
I've tried dragging the audio clip back out to be the same length as its associated video clip, but no matter what I do, the audio clip always remains shorter than its associated video clip.
Is there some command to "restore this video track's audio?" A command that would either bring it back if it got totally destroyed, or allow me to "stretch" the audio clip back to the same length as its video track?
I hope that makes sense to someone...
    Thanks,
    -joe

I would expect that the audio clips would just be stacked on top of one another
Not automatically (and rightly so).  You have to 'stack' them manually, placing the second clip on Audio 2, or 3, or whatever.
the audio clip always remains shorter than its associated video clip.
Hold down the ALT key when you drag the audio portion.
These are both pretty basic items available in the Help file.  I suggest a thorough read before actually using the software.  You'll become much more proficient and have far fewer issues.

  • Recording 2 Audio  Tracks with Auto -Create

    Hi all
I'm recording some audio and working with the auto create and auto mute in cycle record under Song Settings. I want to record a di bass and it's treated partner(through a Line 6 pod) and 01v mixer. Can the auto create and mute be set up to deal with multiple passes of both audio tracks coming in? Doesn't seeem happy about it!! Thanks
    G4,1 ghz dual.1gb ram   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   logic 7.1.1,korg N1,unitor 8,01v

Use a stereo track with the DI on one side and Pod on the other. You can split them up later if you wish.

  • Midi and audio tracks are not synchronised properly?

no problem for a year and then after synchronizing my old Roland VS 880 in order to transfer audio tracks to a new project in my mac all new audio recordings run out of sync with the midi percussion tracks. They move along together but not quite in sync. It sounds as though the guitar parts have been badly played but believe me that is not the case.

Good question. I don't know. If the sampling frequency changed it did it on it's own because I have never even come across that before. I am going to look around logic to try and educate myself but so much time has been lost already I am at my wits end. We couldn't talk could we? Are you with skype?

  • Audio tracks are lost after importing from iMovie...

After importing my movie from iMovie I lost my audio tracks. What is the problem ?

    Hello kropacd (and Karsten;)):
I realize at this late time that this will be a pain..but you might want to try to extract your audio prior to exporting (sharing) to iDVD to se if that helps...
The only other thing I can imagine is that you used 12-bit audio in your video instead of 16-bit? It really needs to be 16-bit-check the setting on your camera.

  • Audio tracks are clipped after export to Quicktime

I have a small (16 slides) keynote file that runs perfectly in Keynote.
I have individual voice audio files for each slide as well as a seperate "master" soundtrack running in the background.
When I export to QT the individual voice audio track is clipped off at various times on each slide. The slide's other transitions continue to run with the background music playing just fine. The next slide begins as expected, playing all sound files, until the individual voice audio file is cut off again.
Exporting at different resolutions seems to produce the same frustrating results.
The background music is a QT movie file. The voice-over is an Mp3.
    Thanks for your help.

Doesnt solve the problem. the soundtrack is synced at first but then is progressively, increasingly out of sync. A couple of seconds late on a 7-minute film.

  • Audio falling out of sync during playback of videos

I now have Windows 8 on a brand new laptop, and new TV dls fall out of sync between audio and video within minutes.  Skipping to the beginning and dragging back to my last place in the timeline corrects this for a minute or so, and then falls out of sync again.
Also, other new purchases skip/pause every few minutes.  I tested previous dls (that are still in the cloud) and had no playback problems.  I don't want to delete everything and redownload until I know for sure that is the solution.
