Audio tracks not exporting

prem pro CC - tracls 4+ not exporting using media encoder
I just googled this and found this: http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/3/943172
suggesting that anything that had been roudtripped to audition wouldn't export in media encoder.  However it looks to me like its certain tracks that are not exporting.  I can confirm that when I close and reopen the project those tracks that dont export are set to mute.  (which is every track except the 1st three).
Doing a bit of poking around I can see the default avchd 720p sequence has tracks 4+ set as 5.1 audio
Could that be the problem?  I can find no way to see what those tracks are set to or to change them - other than creating a blank sequence and copying and pasting everything into it

  • 3 audio tracks not exporting

PPro CC.  1st 3 channels are exporting fine. The next 3 have been tweaked in Audition (but then so has the track on channel 2),
The names of the tracks are quite long: eg Star Gazer_84BPM_10FULLSONG_624_01 Audio Extracted Audio Extracted.wav  They're not offline. They're not muted.
They dont have any effects or transitions on them.
I've got six tracks in total.
I just tried moving one of them to A1 and it did export. Doh. Why would A4,5,6 not export?

Not sure what that means, but here are the tracks
One weird thing: I save the project and reopen it and the 3 tracks in question are muted.  I unmute them and save and reopen and they're muted again?!
I also cant nest the 3 tracks together

  • Audio Does not export with ideo in quicktime conversion

I know i did something with a keyboard shortcut during the editing process, but i cant figure out what i did and how to change it back. What my issue is that when i try to export it to any format in quicktime (in quicktime conversion) the video is ok, but my audio does not export at all.
I dont know what went wrong but i should note i pressed something on my timeline that i didnt realize what it did. Its hard to explain what it looks like, when you press on different clips all the clips on my time line quickly turn a more silver/light color and then change back to the normal color(not effecting the video quality just the thumbnails). But it is has a weird color
is there a way i can reset all settings without adjusting my video clips?
    Sound settings
    Format: Lubear OCM
    Channels: Stereo (L R)
    Rate: 48.0000 hHz
    Render Settings:
    Quality: Normal
    Linear PCM Settings:
    Sample Size: 16 bits
    Checked: Little Endian

    Hi(Bonjour)!
Does the audio play when you run sequence?
Did you toggle off the monitor icon at the left side of timeline for audio track?
When export to quicktime conversion, select quicktime movie and click OPTION.
From this point, you should see a checkbox for SOUND. Be sure to check it ON.

  • Video and audio tracks not synchronized after importing

When I try to watch a video in quicktime or itunes video and audio tracks not synchronized. If I wach on another player they are synced. Anyone help?

    John:
Thanks for your reply.  Excuse my referring to you as "Kevin".  I'm new to the Adobe Community.  I have also referenced another article which is seemingly a bit easier to fix for such a non-technical woman like myself.  I'm going to try both solutions.  Whichever works I'll be sure to reply to the thread with my findings.  I found this article which provides the following solution:  http://blog.flickharrison.com/2012/04/problem-solving-in-adobe-premiere-audio-glitches-and -sync/

  • Is it possible to turn off selected audio tracks for export?

    Hi,
I have worked with fcp 5 before on a project with two languages. Beside the footage audio, each language had its own audio track which I could turn off for export. It was nice to have all languages in one project, because changes had effect for all languages at the same time.
Is it possible to turn off audio tracks in fcpX for export?
I know that fcpX hasn't tracks anymore, but is there a similar function to serve the same purpose?
I am not a professional editor.

I am blissfully unaware of how production companies work .
The project I am working on is a pretty straight forward instruction video. I will be shooting the video, edit and then have the comments recorded by professionals. In DVDPro I will put them both together.
The magnetic timeline is kind of irritating. I will have to work on the languages one after the other. So once I have a language done, I will probably create a compound clip to prevent the sliding around. That would also make it easier to enable or disable the clips.

  • How to make a dvd with audio track after exporting using media encoder? I have 2 seperate files??

    Hello,
I need to just burn a video I finished. It's a m2v file and so I have a AC3 audio tack and a video track. I thought I was good to go, but I cannot figure out how to burn the audio and the video to the same disk! This is very annoying as the settings I have to use for export to keep video quality will give me 2 seperate files.
So, what programs do you use or recommend that allow me to add an audio track? I don't want people to have the option of switching between tracks I just want a normal track like you have when watching a movie, I mean it just plays by default.
    Thanks in adv.
    Mark

The caveats that I would issue to others are:
1.) muxed Assets often work fine, but can cause problems. Properly spec'ed. elemental streams seem to never cause problems.
2.) Encore will allow one to populate a Timeline with multiple Assets. However, it can get very confused in some cases. One is where an Audio Clip is just an Audio Unit, or two, too long, and one has a tiny gap, between their Videos. Using one Timeline per Sequence will always work, so long as the Assets are properly spec'ed.
I'm not saying that either of these WILL cause problems. Many do similar with zero issues. However, there is the potential for problems. Just use with care.
    Good luck,

  • Audio track during export corrupted in Final Cut Express 4

I'm using final cut express in the latest version for the cut of a movie from different compresses sources from digital camperas (.mov, .avi, etc.). Everything is now set, the movie would be ready for export and looks good in preview.
After exporting the movie (no matter, if I compress the file or not) in the middle of a 5 minute take the audio track gets a problem (at 15mins. in the movie) and repeats the same sequence of audio (2 secs) until the end of the take (sorry don't know the correct english expression for that). After that other takes code fine again. Video is no affected and code without problem.
This error is repeatable on my machine, no matter which version of Final Cut Express I use (before and after the latest updates) and operating system (10.5 and 10.6). Also a reconnection of all videos and rendering of the complete movie did not help.
I'm really lost here, any ideas? I don't even know a workaround.

Thanks! Downloaded Streamclip and tried my first conversion. However, now I even made FCE crash;-) The H.264 codec seems not to be the right one. What would be the best one? Apple Intermediate Codec / Apple Motion Jpeg / Apple FCP uncompressed 10bit / Apple FCP Uncompressed 8 Bit / ..... I'm somehow lost in the possibilities and goo gle didn't help either. So I have to count on you again. Any suggestions?

  • Multiple audio tracks not showing up on iphone video.

    I created my video in iMovie '09 v. 8.0.6
I have two audio tracks, one person talking in the video and another being a background track. The video exports fine. The audio works when I play on the computer and after I have uploaded to my kickstarter site. When I try to play the video back from the kickstarter page on my iphone or ipad it only plays the background music, no audio from the person talking in the video. HOWEVER, if I plug in the headphones and listen it sounds fine.
What is the deal? Is there some setting I am missing when exporting that will allow both audio channels to play on the iphone external speaker?
    Thanks.

I was having the same issue too. I was hoping that apple will address this issue with a SW update or at least someone from apple would be kind enough to answer this thread.
After researching for a couple days I found a solution. It's not the most efficient, but it works. You'll need a CD-R or CD-RW with this method. The trick is you need to convert m4p file format to mpa or mp3 file format.
You can follow the following steps:
    1. Open iTunes
    2. Create a New Playlist: File -> New Playlist
    3. Drag the song(s) to the playlist you just created. Note: Depending on the file size you might only be able to burn just 1 song at a time
    4. Insert a Blank CD to your disk drive.
    5. Right click on the playlist then click "Burn Playlist to Disk." Then click burn. Make sure the Disc format is set to Audio CD.
    6. Once the disc is finished, click on the CD in the device section in iTunes. Right click the song and click "Create AAC Version." This will create a .mpa file into your iTunes.
    7. Copy that file to your iPhone and you're golden
Hope this helps guys. I know it's not the most elegant solution, but it works and now you can workout with those tunes. I know I've been quite frustrated because my tracks didn't show up, hopefully the new SW update will fix this.
I would appreciate any apple genius' solution that is more efficient as well.
    Cheers

  • Audio Track Not Changing CS3 Encore Preview

I have done this before (it has been a few months) and I hope I am missing something obvious.  I have 1 timeline with 19 avi's from PPCS3 with their related audio on Audio 1 track.  I have added music on Audio 2.  Everything plays fine in the monitor when I select either Audio 1 or 2 with the little speaker on the left side of the timeline.  My main menu has a button to select a submenu that has two buttons - one for game sounds (soccer games) and one for music.  I have used specify link and choose the appropriate audio track and link back to the main menu.  Just for fun (after I could not get the music to play in preview) I added a subtitle track 1 that contains the artist and song title (my first attempt at subtitles) and this works fine when music is selected (and not when you select game sound since I set subtitle track to 0), but in preview it is stuck on Audio 1 and even when I change manually in preview to Audio 2 - Audio 1 keeps playing.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Bob

Took a hint from another post that preview does not always work.  This is the first time I have had this problem, but I usually come to Encore by way of export from PPCS3.  I built to folder and it played like I wanted with software.  Now I will finish the project and feel confident that it will work.
Just in case anyone is reading this, I had another error that it took me a few minutes to figure out in this project.  The default location for chapters was too close to the beginning of a chapter and that chapter would not play even though the build check said there were no errors.  I hope some of these problems are not in CS5.

  • Quicktime file with corrected audio track not working with iWeb Gallery

    Hello Everyone,
I shot a video and accidentally recorded on one audio track only (posted in another post). I've fixed the audio in Quicktime Pro by selecting the audio track (track 1) onto track 2 and hence I've got "fake" stereo or mono audio. The QuickTime file plays perfectly on my desktop. The audio is coming through both channels, as well.
Now, my problem is that when I've tried to upload the file to my iLife '08 iWeb site, the audio is back to one channel again. The video plays beautifully, however. I even uploaded the QuickTime file to my iDisk and from there to my web gallery through iLife '06. Still, the audio is only coming through on one track.
Hmm, is there a setting in QuickTime Pro that I might have missed after I "fixed" the audio? Like I said, the file plays perfectly on my desktop. I've even burned the file to DVD and it plays perfectly on my home DVD player. Somehow along the upload process the 2nd audio track is dropped. Any advice is very much appreciated.
    Frustrated in Texas,
    -Jack

    Hello QuickTimeKirk,
Thanks for all of your advice and to the others who have chimed in with their input. My audio problem is solved. The problem with one of the audio tracks getting dropped once the QuickTime file was uploaded to my Web Gallery has been fixed. I had to re-export the original QuickTime File and somehow the tracks corrected themselves. I believe they were canceling themselves out the first time. Weird.
Now, however, I see that I'm getting the blue Quicktime symbol when I open the URL. It takes about a minute (at least with my cable connection) for the poster frame to show up. I did flatten the file and have it set to play automatically. See what you get on your end: http://web.mac.com/honeybear7/Site/Movie.html if you don't mind. This is just a test page, so this is not the final presentation. The window size of the movie, however, is set.
What is the best possible setting I can have the file set on for it to play the quickest? I know much of it is dependent on the connection speed. This also is not a small file. It's 214 Mb, but it's a 40 minute movie and looks okay on the web. Having burned it on DVD as a 2.9 gig file it, of course, looks much better with no blocking. I originally shot it with an HD Canon camera.
Any more advice is greatly appreciated. Have a great weekend.
    -Jack

  • Audio tracks not playing

A really odd thing keeps happening to me.
When I open my Logic projects it often doesn't play all the audio tracks. If I double-click a region and open it in sample editor I can play it from there but still it doesn't play the track in arrange. And the weird thing is it's not always the same track.
Has this happened to anyone else? It doesn't even bounce the tracks offline, the tracks are absolutely mute.

do they play when moved to another track?
are they light gray in color? select track or segment and hit the m key.
are they assigned to a bus?

  • Audio Tracks Not Sounding

    Hello,
I have several clips (and audio tracks) in a sequence that won't play audio all the sudden. I have no idea why. The problem audio tracks are darkened, and play fine outside the sequence. I'm working in FCP v. 6.0.1.
Does anyone know what could be causing this? I can't find anything in the manuals -- any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Therese

    Hi Therese,
Make sure your audio tracks are not muted. On the left of the tracks there are green buttons for muting, toggling them will mute/unmute your audio.
Also, if you have an icon of a tiny pair of headphones to the left of these buttons make sure these are not enabled (showing orange).

  • Audio tracks not lined up and no sound

For some reason my audio tracks for my clips are on different tracks. Most are on a5/a6 and a3/a4 - those play with sound. The audio on a1/a2 is not heard when I play the clip??? When I try to move the audio to different tracks it messes up my video.
What I want to do is either figure out how to get the audio on a1/a2 to be heard OR move the audio to tracks that I know work without moving the video.
    Can anyone help?

No mute. Maybe the tracks are off - but I don't think so? I have a screen capture -- although I cannot figure out how to add that to the post - can you do that???
the only thing that is different is that the source for the ones that don't work A1/A2 havea source of a1/a2 that is connected. Even if I 'break apart' the a1 from the A1 and the a2 from the A2 still no sound...

  • Audio Tracks not showing in itunes.

    Dear All
After transferring audio tracks to itunes library I am manually dragging them to my ipod shuffle and the songs are shown in the shuffle but when I am deleting the tracks from the itunes library then nothing is shown in the ipod shuffle folder of itunes but the settings tab shows the amount of space used and the songs are present in the ipod as I can play them. I am not able to manage or change the sequence of song in shuffle since it is not shown in the device folder of itunes. How will I be able to see the list of songs presently transferred in my ipod shuffle if I delete them from the itunes library ?
    Help please.
    Thank you.

Actually I dont keep my audio tracks in my Hard Drive but its in DVDs and CDs. Therefore I import them into the itunes library and transfer them to shuffle manually and then delete them from the itunes library.
When I am deleting them from my itunes library I cannot see them in the shuffle folder though I can play all the songs in ipod shuffle. This problem does not happen in my Ipod classic 160GB.

Shuffle works differently from the "Ipod classic 160GB". There is NO additional help for this issue.

  • Is it possible to retain multiple audio tracks when exporting?

While ripping my DVD collection, I've wanted to add a purchased RiffTrax (see www.riftrax.com) to the movie as another audio track. I've been successful, but it took the following steps:
    1. Encode the movie using Handbrake, open the resulting m4v file in Quicktime Pro
    2. Also in Quicktime Pro, open the Rifftrax aac file I created and add it as another audio track in the m4v
    3. Save the m4v as a Quicktime mov file
    4. Use Handbrake again to encode the mov file into an m4v file, including my added audio track
The reason I have to do step 4 is because if I were to export an m4v file directly from Quicktime Pro, it would compress all of the audio tracks into a single audio track. It would save a lot of time if Quicktime could export multiple audio tracks, at least when exporting to formats that can handle them. Does anyone know if this is possible?
BTW, if anyone wants more details into how I create the RiffTrax aac, just ask.
    - Jake

I've answered my own question, it was a lot easier than I thought. After the first encoding by Handbrake, there's really no difference between calling it a mov file or m4v file. I can change the file extension at will and there's no need to do an export that mashes the audio tracks. It's only AppleTV that needs to see the m4v file extension, Quicktime and iTunes doesn't seem to care one way or the other.
Thanks for letting me think out loud.
