Hi @coributler20
Welcome to the HP support Forums!
I am happy to help you with your audio troubles. Firstly please  post the full product number. See the following:
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Without that, I can give you some more general help that may work. If the sound was working before, then what I would try is a system restore to go back to a known good configuration.

  • I have audio trouble, right output not working

    I have an Iphone 4s..
At first i thought that my headphone jack is not working good, because the left earphone is working and the right one isn't,when i jack it in...
I tryied many headphones just to make shore that it's not something else, but after many tries i realised that the jack is out..
and this evening i went to iStyle to try some Audio Docks, and when i put the phone on it it does play music, but only on the left speaker...
I thought maybe it's the dock, but then i tried three more and it was the same on all of them.. only the left one was working..And now i would like to know please what could be the trouble, and how can i solve it?
    Thank you!
PS: the problem with the jack was there even before i updated to 7.0....

Well it sounds like a hardwrae issue to me but you could troubleshoot the software
Reset the phone first by holding the power button and the home button until it shuts down then turn it back on and try again.
If it persists then backup your phone to iTunes and set it up as new.
If it still happens then it is a hardware issue, and you will need service.
If it does NOT happen when you set up as new, then restore from your backup. if the issue comes back then there is something wrong with your backup and you need to set it up as new again and start from scratch.

  • Win CS5.5 RAMpreview audio troubles

    Hi
Hopefully this isn't covered somewhere.  I had a bit of a dig, but I couldn't figure any clear search terms and so on.
It's sort of a bug question, sort of a request for advice.
I''ve got this fairly large project I just moved over from AE7 (!) on a different machine.
I used RAMpreview to check the edit and audio sync periodically, as you do, and it was slow but fine.  I tried the same thing in CS5.5 and it had what my mum would call a pink fit.  Sometimes even crashing.  Mostly it would grind away for minutes on end, indicating only 'Background Process Status: Loading Projects...", before it even started rendering the frames.  Then the preview would seem very confused about which frames it had rendered (green and blue frame cache indicators jumping around and disappearing altogether), the playback would be choppy if at all and the whole program becomes slow-to-unresponsive.
By the way, Previewing is fine.  It's only RAM preview with audio that this happens.
The first thing is, turning off multi frame rendering solves the problem and restores the RAMpreview functionality I know and love.  So that's cool.  But I'm still curious as to what's going wrong. I have checked the memory settings guides and reducing the number of cores to use down to two (Quad core Intel i5 system) and adjusting the RAM balance did have an effect.  But the long cruching before rendering and the halting unresponsiveness was still present to some degree.  No multiframe at all is still the most reliable by far.
Secondly, the size of the project is probably important.  This is a big, messy project. 1080 with lots of media, lots of effects, many nested comps. I just did a much simpler project that had audio synching without any hassles using all four cores (which I'm probably better off not doing, but it worked is the thing).  So it's just this project that the problem has appeared in so far.
Is there anything I can or should do about it, some box I haven't ticked somewhere perhaps?
If there's no particular fix, working with multi-frame switched off and then switching it back on for full rendering seems like the thing to do.  Would you agree?
My system is an Intel i5 quad core, running Windows 7 premium with 8gb
    thanks

    Sorry about the delay.
Todd:  Yes, disabling the audio (using those two core settings I mentioned) makes it actually start rendering a lot quicker (and the rendering is noticeably faster with multiframe switched on).  There is a still a period where the program seems to halt while multiframe rendering, I assume, boots itself up.  But I suppose that's normal.  RAMpreview rendering with multiframe switched off begins almost instantly, but it wouldn't have to do any special reorganisation of data in that instance I guess.
When it did manage to render in multiframe with the sound on, the sound and the picture were often jittery and out of synch.  It does seem to be the audio it's having trouble with, yes.
If it's a known problem then I guess it can't be helped much.
Mylenium: Hmm.  I'm not sure I read you right, but for the sake of it I'll say there aren't any effects on this audio track.  The project audio settings are the same as the file itself so it shouldn't be being resampled.  A decent amount of my footage does still have embedded audio but it should be switched off and all the layers in the master timeline have their audio switched off, so hopefully it's being ignored even if any is on by mistake.  That may not be how it works however.
My recent smaller project used pretty much the same working set up and didn't have the same problems.  So I think if it was doing the same things at that point, the smaller project footprint meant it didn't hurt RAMpreviewing as much.  Unfortunately I don't have an intermediate sized project to test with at the moment.

  • Pavilion p6-2310 audio trouble

Basically, the troubles that I am encountering are that if I'm listening to music or watching a vieo etc. the audio will cut in half. Like I can hear backround music but not vocals. Or when playing games, it seems to cut out all audio. Its not a problem with headphones because I've tested different kinds that I know work and encounter the same problem.
I've read somewhere trying to research this saying that its probably something to do with drives and it said to delete and reinstall the drives but I have know idea how to do that on this computer.
    Any help would be appreciated

  • Audio Troubles wiz after effect composition file throught encore.

So i run the CS3 master collection. Got a server dual core xeon 3ghz,4GB of ram and a 7800 GT Geforce video card.
My trouble started when i wanted to make a commercial DVD for some customers.
Been creating and editing videos assets, animated menus in after effects(i kept low setting to be sure i would have enought ram memory to run it then in encore. Until there everything was fine.
The nightmare started when i had to compile all of this in Encore.
The DVD by itself including menus, transitions and video footage are supposed to be 2.9 GB once the asset are transcoded (DVD is not even full).
Now it took me an insane amount of time before i could render some preview version of it. After running computer all nite long, finally get it burn, but keep on being freezed for long time when it came to get files transcoded in the building process.
Anyway after getting dvd burned, went to check on it and some part of the dvd, (video assets mainly) had missing soundtrack, or get soundtrack from transition assets.
So now i am extremly frustrated and ********* at Adobe, don t know what to do. Even think that Adobe Dynamic Link is the biggest joke ever... Can t even run after effects and encore together... So when they said on the CS3 master collection box that requirement needed is 1 to 2 GB of ram, i cannot beleive it.
For now the CS3 master collection might work on the paper but not on my computer...
Anyway if anyone would have the same audio problems and found a solution to it plz share it. It would save me from angry customers...
    Cheers.
    Arno.

So tried to render the project by taking off one RAM stick from the computer (renaming my after effects files and redoing my encore composition also with an other name) and did work (still did it with vista business as the OS tho, because I ve seen Neil's post to late and already format the computer , couldn't be bother to redo it to put an xp version :p ).
    Cheers for that.
By the way I did READ the system requirements and they say : "Microsoft windows xp with sp2 OR windows vista home premium, BUSINESS, ultimate, or enterprise"... after I reckon they also say "certified for 32-bits editions" but if it not 100% certified for 64-bits edition why do they put Vista business on it ???
It's also right on the box : "more RAM recommended when running multiple components". Anyway I m not a computer specialist, and obviously differents setting must work better than others. Also, I won't take my computer retailer advice for granted anymore because they tried to make me buy heaps of components to run it when finally it wasn't a matter of boosting the computer...
Anyway thanks you all for your support, it's been precious, really appreciate it, I am now an happy Adobe customer again :)
PS: To come back at my initial sound troubles, it vanished when I renamed my After effects compo and redo my encore project.
    Cheers,
    Arno.

  • Lumia 925, earpiece audio trouble (voice calls)

Background: I am a T-Mobile USA subscriber. Previously owned a Lumia 710, then switched to 810 when it became available. Great products; I've been very happy with both. Two weeks ago gave the 810 to another family member and got the Lumia 925.
I love the 925. The screen is great, the phone is light, and the camera amazing. Except for one thing. The first day I had the 925, I noticed that the audio from the earpiece did not no sound right. While on calls, the earpiece had a nasty buzz to it, sounding like a damaged speaker. The audio quality while on speakerphone was perfect, so I could not blame T-Mobile's network. I took the phone back to T-Mobile and they replaced it, no questions asked.
The second 925 sounded great. The earpiece audio was clear, without any buzzing or audio glitches. I was a happy man and everything was great, that is, until yesterday. Now the second 925 developed a similar bad audio quality during calls, but only from the earpiece. The speakerphone sounds fine, and using a bluetooth headset sounds fine also. It is not easy to describe the "badness" of the audio but there is a significant decrease in quality. The audio level seems to be down; with the volume all the way up, you can barely hear the other caller. The audio also has a buzzy, muffled quality to it, almost as if it is coming out of a tin can, and it is not easy to understand the caller. I tried calling my old Lumia 810 and the sound on the 810 is just fine. The trouble seems to be only the earpiece on the 925.
This morning I went back to T-Mobile and they replaced the SIM card. I'm not sure how that would help, but they said it should help if this is a network issue. That was 5 hours ago and the audio quality has not improved at all. I have also performed a full phone reset, then reloaded my previous settings, but the problem persists. At this point it appears to be a hardware issue, but it is very odd that it happened on the first 925 right away, and on the replacement one as well, but after two weeks. Beside the bad earpiece audio the phone works great. The apps work as they should, and the camera is lovely, but if I first need the device to function as a phone.
I am debating if I should try a third Lumia 925. I am a bit reluctant, as I'm afraid that it might break again. At least now it is within the 30 day return period, but what if this issue happens later? I would love to stick with Lumia but these issues with the 925 are worrisome.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

I'm having the same problem with my Nokia Lumia 925.  Voice in the earpiece audio is otherwise ok but when the other person is saying the S-letter in a word the earpiece audio makes it sound like other person is having a lisp or something. It's really annoying. Same effect comes when other person on the line is inhaling or exhaling. There is this whoosh sound the earpiece is making on S-letters, inhale - exhale sounds and on other low frequency background noices. Phone was like this from my first calls after unboxing. ...
I was thinking how to describe my audio problems with 925 but you did it perfectly! I have exactly the same problems with the S-letters, inhaling, exhaling etc. which makes every voice call more or less annoying experience.
I was thinking to replace the unit but the longer I read this thread, the more I start to think this is "a feature" i.e. bad design and/or poor HW choices. That said, ff this is so common issue, I wonder howcome there wasn't anything about this in those several reviews L925 was subjected to when it was released. Or are the reviewers so busy in testing the 'smart phone' feature that they do not spend time to mundane stuff like voice call quality.
I love the phone otherwise; looks great, has fantastic camera, crisp and cleat display - anyhow, had I known about this, I would have left this to the store.
    EDIT:
    supersape wrote:
I was making a Skype call from my Lumia 925 yesterday and with Skype the earpiece audio was clear and there was no whooshing disturbing the call. So i guess the speaker is working properly in Lumia 925 but the problem might be in 3G/4G reception (or somewhere else) that disturbs the call quality creating this whooshing in a call.
Havent' tried myself but if this is true, this starts to sound like some voice codec issue. ...which would be strange since one would think that the same speech encoding/decoding implementations are used in all Lumias so why would there be problems specifically in 925.
The good with this option would be that it's probably possible to fix with SW update. Provided that Nokia is aware of the problem or better yet, interested to anything about it.

  • Audio Troubles

I am having trouble working with the audio in iMovie 09.
#1. I put audio in, but I want to mute the audio from the original movie. For some reason the background music still plays at the same time as the audio music.
#2. Is there a way to play audio and then stop it for a certain clip and then continue at the spot it left on a couple clips later?
#4. How do I use audio as transitions. For example, I don't want the songs running into each other.
    Thanks for the much-needed help!!

Appleman, you've been a lifesaver! I am going to be making a highlight film for a football team and have to prove some Apple disbelievers wrong so I'm trying to make sure I know how to use the features correctly.
For a football highlight film, would you recommend me purchasing final cut express or do you think imovie 09 will get the job done for my needs?
    I appreciate your help!

  • Laptop to TV: HMDI Cable Audio Trouble

When I've tried to hook up my laptop to the TV through a HMDI cable, no audio was transferred.
Through Control Panel, under Manage Audio Devices, I made sure the HDMI was set to default but still no audio.
Whenever I would right-click on the HDMI device and click Test, a message would appear saying "Failed to play test tone".
    Can someone help me please?

What outputs does your laptop have?
This is like me asking you what kind of oil my car needs without telling you what car I have

  • Audio trouble with my Satellite L675

I am trying to use team speak for an online game but when I connect my speakers get disabled and cant hear anyone. Also when I connect my HDMI cable from my HDTV to my laptop my computer speakers play instead of the tv's. I think I may need to re-download audio drivers but not sure so please let me know what you think. Thanks

The computer is not putting out the sound to the device you want. Go to Control Panel (Classic View) and click on the Sound icon. You should be in the Playback window. Right click on the HDMI output selection and use the left mouse button to choose this as the default output. The little white circle with the green check mark should appear next to the HDMI selection. Finally do an FN-F5 so that all of the video output is going to the HDMI TV set.

  • IMac audio troubles, unknown origin

Okay, just bought a G5 (2.1gHz with iSight camera, so I don't know what "revision" that falls under...
Working fine for three days, then I installed the iPod software. When opening iTunes, I opted to play some music. After a few songs, things started going haywire--audio first sounded like it was playing on a warped and/or slow record player, then quit playing altogether and went to white noise/static over the speakers. This now obnoxious noise seems to exist regardless of speaker volume. The only way to get this to go away is to restart the machine.
When it restarts, the light on the front comes on, and the cooling fan kicks into overdrive, but that's as far as it goes. Then, I hold the power button down to restart again, and all spins up fine. The audio problem does return after a fashion.
    Thoughts?
    Later,
    K

Update: iTunes problem still occasional. I ran it for 3 hours, uploading and downloading songs from CD to the iPod all the while with no problem. My wife came home and uploaded a CD, and it went to static on her. It cleared up shortly after closing iTunes; she didn't have to restart the iMac. I'm at some point going to re-install iTunes off of the boot disk. Does anyone know if just that file is accessible on either of the two install disks that come with the iMac?
The iSight problem is a hardware issue. Took it to the local Apple store after trying everything I had read here to try to restart it. They jumped through the same hoops as I did with amazingly identical results. They'll replace the camera module as soon as I can afford to be without the Mac for 3 - 10 days, which won't be for a few weeks.

  • Mountain lion audio trouble

    hi
    im on a 27"imac i7 chip 2011.
audio out is unreliable still after 10.8.1 update. Any app that makes a noise is affected. the audio is just not stable. crackles, little gaps or stutters.Ive compared some of the same audiofiles to double check  n the iphone and they are smooth. Its making checking music mixes for any defects impossible as i cant trust the imac suddenly.
Its something i was hoping the update would fix but not so. As a music writer its unworkable. The previous Lion worked well on this machine.I cant see how something this fundamental slipped through plus I see many other similar mentions of this online. i dont have lion as it was shipped in the machine. Seems crazy to have to search out a previous operating sytem for something like this. Anyway its a complicated proceedure to reinstall it and I shouldnt have to.
    Any ideas?

    Ok,
If you have apple care and you can reproduce the issue off the bat, then I would make an appointment and go in and show them.
If you click on the little magnifying glass on the top right of your main screen (cmd+spacebar) and type in Audio Midi Setup, you might find that your settings are just too high for your digital out.
Turning these down to a lower Hz may yield you a more reliable signal.
The best signal will come from a cable that is made with glass.
Most tosling cables are made from a polymer which isn't as reliable with digital toslink.
Other then that, what it seems like your issue is, is an electrical thing.
You can install Lion onto an external hard drive and test to see if it still happens in that drive.
You can also make a new user, log into it, and then see if the issue still happens there. if it doesn't it means you may have had a faulty installation.
Another thing could be that you need to repair disks and permissions before reinstalling ML.
you can do this in the recovery partition right before you reinstall ML or in Disk utilty.

  • '09 Having underlying audio troubles after export

So, I'm creating a video in iMovie '09 and everything has went smoothly. I can watch it in the project screen and everything looks perfect...but, when I export the movie(in any format), I get unexpected audio inserts in random spots in the movie. They are like small 1/2second clips of audio from clips that I have deleted their audio already. It is totally perplexing me and doesn't show up anywhere in the video builder, only when it is exported.
    Thanks in advance!

Shockwave says at the present moment not to be compatible with OS X 10.9 Mavericks.
Youtube, QuickTime, all play with no sound at all.

  • Idvd audio troubles

When burning a slideshow from iDVD, which includes some movie clips from our Canon camera, the audio from the last movie clip starts in the middle of the slide show. I have other music loaded from my itunes library, but the audio from the movie clips overrides all other audio. This only happens after burning. It works and sounds great when reviewing in iDVD. Is there anything i can do to prevent this?

I burned the music to a CD, reimported using the AIFF format, and used the Disk Utility Manager to save the file to my desktop and then burned the DVD using the Disk Manager....still no luck. The movie clip audio still cuts in about half way through, overriding all other audio on the DVD. Sounds and looks fine while in iDVD. Any suggestions?

  • Audio Trouble.. Please Help

    Hi,
I am developing a course using Adobe Presenter. I imported audio into my presentation. When publishing all slides without audio including quiz slides showed with a blank for a duration time in the course outline. Slides with audio showed the approriate time. This is what i wanted to happen.
I then needed to delete audio off of one in the Adobe Presenter audio editor by adding silence. After doing this the settings for my non-audio quiz slides changed from blank to 05:00. Thinking this solution would resolve the issue, I went back to the audio editor and deleted out the extra time since there is no audio associated with the quiz slides. They now show as 00:00. I would very much like them to show up as blank to be consistent with my other non-audio slides in my course as not to confuse the learner but I am not sure how to do this. I have tried every setting I can. Any ideas????

    Hi
When you are in the editor, It is difficult to differentiate between a inserted silence and existing silence.
For this reason presenter generates a silence of 5 sec every time you do any editing in the audio editor, for every slide which has a silence.
In order to fix this, you can do the following workaround.
    1. Go to your published output
    2. Open data folder
    3. Open viewer.xml
    4. Search for "questions" tag
    5. Inside that slide tag, remove the <audios duration="5000"/> tag
    Hope this solves your problem
