Audio & Video not synchronized on .avi (h.264) clip

Hi Pro's
Thank you in advance for taking the time read my question.
Using Tipard Conversion software, I converted the .mts file from the Canon HF M31 camera to .avi (h.264) with audio.  The new video file is perfectly syncronized when playing in AVC or Windows Media Player.
But when I place that converted .avi file on the CS6 Premiere Pro timeline it becomes unsynchronized.  I tried imported directly from the camera but APPro CS6 does not import the audio.
1. Is there a better  format to convert to, versus .avi (h.264)?
Any help perfecting how to get the video (with audio) off my Canon HFM31 and onto APPro's timeline would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your reply.
Ciao
Darrell

When you start Premiere up do you see any AVCHD presets? If you don't then you either need to activate Premiere, or you're going to need to reinstall it because something is corrupted.

Anyways though someone else I helped out a week ago was having this problem and after a lot of troubleshooting I realized they had missing sequence presets and when they did a fresh install everything was fixed. So please check this out.

  • Audio Video not synchron

Audio and Video is in iTunes not synchron. The files I use are normal podcast files from Swiss Television. What's going wrong?

Ok, I think that I solved the problem.
After x checks and exportings I realized that in the settings for FCP HD1080i60 is not correct. Because the movies are recorded in PAL.
After setting up FCP in HD1080i50, the audio is correctly exported.

  • Poor video quality when sharing .avi H.264 clip

My video camera produces .avi files, encoded with H.264, aspect ratio 720x400, square pixels.
To preserve the original quality and avoid letterboxing, I want the final shared clip to be the same encoding and aspect ratio. So I've created a suitable project setting and share presets.
Now the problem is that I can edit and share these clips but the image quality is noticeably degraded.
Is there any way this can be fixed?
I am using PrE 10 32bit on Windows XP.
    Thanks

Steve, Bill, John, thanks for your prompt replies.
Steve, I took your advice and used the Flip Mino and changed the frame size to 720x400. I then used the MP4 - H.264 1440x1080p 30, modified again to 720x400 to produce the output. And the result? I can't tell the original file from the output file, except for the audio, that is a bit lower in volume and actually sligtly more pleasant to listen to.
The camera is an AIM SmartyCam:
    http://www.smartycam.com/on-board-camera/technical-features.htm
The output is to be viewed on my computer and uploaded to YouTube.
Bill, I agree with your fax of a fax concept in theory, but as I said, the image quality degradation is indiscernable, and the output file is not compressed, it is actually more than triple the size of the original!
John, my video is H.264 inside AVI, and it works... :-) GSpot actually says the file is very similar to the one in the thread you linked to. It only differs by having PCM 16kHz mono sound and a different frame size.
Before I used a modified HDV project setting: These and the Flip project settings seem to be mostly the same except that they use different editing modes, so I guess this is the reason why the Flip works so much better?
In any case, thank you all for the help!

  • Video and audio tracks not synchronized after importing

When I try to watch a video in quicktime or itunes video and audio tracks not synchronized. If I wach on another player they are synced. Anyone help?

    John:
Thanks for your reply.  Excuse my referring to you as "Kevin".  I'm new to the Adobe Community.  I have also referenced another article which is seemingly a bit easier to fix for such a non-technical woman like myself.  I'm going to try both solutions.  Whichever works I'll be sure to reply to the thread with my findings.  I found this article which provides the following solution:  http://blog.flickharrison.com/2012/04/problem-solving-in-adobe-premiere-audio-glitches-and -sync/

  • Audio and video not synchronized in recording made with Lync 2013

There appears to be no forum for the Lync 2013 client yet, so I am posting this in the Lync 2013 server forum.
Environment: Lync 2013 Server and Lync 2013 32-bit client. Only one Lync pool. Conference call was scheduled using "Lync Meeting" in Outlook about a week before the call. Call recorded on a laptop that was plugged into our LAN with an Ethernet
    cable.
Problem: User scheduled a conference call with screen sharing (PowerPoint) and recorded the call. The audio and video are not synchronized in the recording. There is several minutes' delay, with the audio lagging behind the PowerPoint. The last slide
on the call was presented, the call ended, and the presenter ended the recording (I was present for all this and can confirm no user error in these steps); however, in the recording, the slides change before the speaker talks about it, and the last
couple of minutes are cut off.
Any ideas on why this happened? Web research has failed me. Thank you.

You may need to lower the recording quality as your PC might not be able to keep up the pace.
Go to Options in Lync client -> Recording -> Select 480p
    Then test again

  • Audio and Video not synchronized...what's the solution?

    Hi,
I was trying to record a video on my webcam (I think its Creative Gamestar) and during playback I noticed that the audio is playing slower than the video; in other words both are not synchronized...what could be the reason for this? Is there a solution.
I used the DivX 6.0 video codec. The audio compressor was MP3 at 48,000 Hz, 6 bits, Stereo. Do I need to use something other codec? Please reply! The reason I used DivX was that the default codec was creative a 2Gb file for a 5 minute video.
Looking forward to replies. Thanks in advance,
    Badfan.

    Hi John and techkid123
We have 4 cameras here. 1 is Sony model HD1000 (since it works with Mini-DV cassete we need to capture the image via Firewire). 2 cameras are Sony HD2000 (it generates *.MPEG files if I remember well). And 1 camera is a Panasonic AG-DVC7 (it generates *.MTS files)
We start a new project using the Standard NTSC Widescreen 48Khz format.  When we drag to the timeline for example the MTS file...Premiere ask us if we want to Keep and Change timeline to suit the file specification. Anyway we always have 1 or 2 camera files that has a yellow line over timeline.
But I renders correct...no problem to edit...and we had no problem with Premiere CS5.5 :/
We are downloading the latest update of Premiere. I´ll make some test and publish here if the problem persist.
Thank you a lot for the help

  • Audio files not embedding with .avi files in CS4

I am working on a project in Premiere Pro CS4. I successfully captured with firewire a number of clips and the audio embedded with the clip ( one .avi file shows up in explorer under the project. When I went back into the project, first, there was no audio captured at all and I did'nt notice until I had captured half of the clips (45 minutes). I don't know what happened there. Now, the audio is attached to the .avi file, but is not embedded like the previous captured files.   Example First capture: File Name : Harlem 01.avi  audio is embedded   2nd Capture  Guilford 01.avi  and Guilford 01. Stereo 1.wav
Why aren't the .avi files and the audio files embedded and combined as one file anymore?
    Thanks for any help.

    >Matrox card
The comment I have often seen is to the effect that "a Matrox card makes a good door stop"
For a Firewire transfer you don't need any "card" at all, only a Firewire port... usually on the motherboard
That said... and you mentioning switching back and forth between different Matrox modes... I would guess that, yes, you selected a wrong option
But, since I don't use Matrox, I have no idea what setting could be wrong (I do use a Pinnacle Dv500 via dual boot with WinXP to digitize some old VHS tapes before they stop playing... but once I had settings that worked to create AVI files that ARE Audio Video Interleave with everything in one file, I have never changed any of the Dv500 settings)

  • Audio/Video not synched

Would someone please help me. For some reason, my audio and video are not synchronizing when I capture. Nothing has changed on my video camera as far as audio settings. I've used the exact setup previously with no problems. I trashed my plists and that wasn't helpful.
I'd be grateful for any other suggestion that might solve this issue.

    Hi(Bonjour)!
Select your clip in browser and use the contextual menu to get item settings. You fing the audio bit depth here.
Be sure that your camera audio setting is set to 16 bit 48 kHz AND matches the sequence audio settings in FCE.

  • Audio/video not syncing on a PC with i-tunes movies.

Recently started having a problem with the audio and video of my itunes movies on my PC. Had no problem for the longest time, years. I get up to 3 seconds gap, video ahead of audio on every movie I play. If I pause for a few seconds, the audio/video sync but shortly after, start to separate again. I reinstalled i-tunes, reinstalled my movies one at a time from the cloud. If helpful, for some unknown reason, all my movies recently were deleted from the hard drive memory but were still available from the cloud. Don't seem to have the issue when playing movies on my i-touch. Audio on the computer while playing a movie seems to have pops or quick gaps when the a/v is drifting apart. These are memory resident movies not played from cloud storage.

  • Audio/Video Not Synchro when capturing

    Hi,
I'm having an audio/video synchronization problem when capturing HDV material onto IMovie. There is probably a 1/2 sec delay. How can I resolve this problem?
First thing iMOVIE says: Cpsturing HD at 3/4 SPEED. Should I worry about this?
I have updated my Imovie and camcorder settings according to my sony camcorder instructions. Camcorder: SONY HVR A1E.
    Your thoughts?

First, make sure your camera is exporting with 16 bit sound and not 12 bit.

  • Xvidcap: Audio/Video not syncing!

Big issue, it syncs fine for 20~ seconds then it starts eventually desyncing with the sound and after a few minutes it's waaaaaaay off.
This is with ffmpeg recording, tried other ones with the same effect... Any ideas?
    Google couldn't help me.

    Possible leads:
1.) There's some talk on the SourceForge xvidcap FAQ about the RPMs having a sync patch which is only in SVN normally... this is likely old, though... maybe ask the devs?
2.) Are there any cli options for xvidcap? I know there's a config file, too.
3.) Dynamic audio/video desync means either it's trying to record at the wrong framerate or audio frequency, or your player's bad, or the PC's too slow. Try another (fast) PC with another player, try tuning the options (use Google to help). You might (definitely possible, depends on whether you can find the right values) also be able to edit the finished video to change the FPS / audio frequency - AviDemux might be able to do it. Probably not a long-term solution, though.

  • Audio and video not synchronized when exporting from Premiere Pro CS6

    Hi
We have made a project in Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 that´s intended to be exported to DVD (it´s a weeding). We are working with NTSC DV Widescreen. The exporting is 720x480
We have 2 audio lines activated and sounding on this project.
    The question is:
When exporting the entire video (the entire timeline sequece) using Adobe Media Encoder to formats like H.264 (NTSC DV Widescreen)... Quick Tile Movie or AVI without compression (we tested these formats) the 2 audio channels get unsynchronized from the video. The same problem occurs if we get a direct link of the timeline from Premiere to Encore.
And Inside Premiere Preview audio is preety correct.
Does anyone here are getting such problem?
Also..can I ask another question (as I´m not expert on video production)?. What´s the best format for our purpose? Export a video to be played to DVD (we record weedings, birthdays..social events). No problem the time to export. We´d like the best quality for output.
    Thank you for the help
    Gustavo.

  • Audio and Video Not Synchronizing in the Same Clip.

Ok, So I have had Adobe Premier Pro for a while now an I love it. I just have one not so insignificant problem with it. I was in the middle of making a video (with one particularly long clip in it) and I noticed something that began to happen in the beginning of the clip and went up until about thirty seconds. The audio and video gradually became further and further apart until they were about three seconds off. I was only using one clip so there should be no way I screwed up the placement of the files in the timeline. Viewing the clip in quicktime player does not give me that problem, so it's either a problem with Premiere Pro, or something else that I am unaware of. It has became so bad that I even downloaded iMovie so I could at least get this movie edited. I am pretty new to Premier Pro so any advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

Exactly what is INSIDE the video you are editing?

  • CS3: Audio and video not synchronized

    Hello.
I built a video, and in this video sometimes there isn't the audio track because i cut it. After i exported the video in the avi format, i noticed a big desynchronization, because the audio tracks started earlier than expected. What have i to do?
    Thanks

What was the format/CODEC of your original source files?
    What is your Project/Sequence Preset?
When you Render the Timeline and playback in PrPro, did you hear the OOS (Out Of Sync), or was it only after Export?
What were the full settings of that Export?
Is the OOS static (same over time), or is it dynamic (changing over time)?
    Good luck,
    Hunt
PS - for general OOS issues, this ARTICLE might be useful.
