Audio will not encode

Hi,
Seem to be having trouble getting the audio to encode during export.  First, using the exact same settings as before with a prior and successful audio export, I exported the video and audio.  I played the video back in Premiere and you can clearly hear the music.  Here's a screenshot:
Next, I exported using Adobe Encoder.  Made sure V and A were selected.  Here's the screen shot.
I then played the F4V back in the Adobe Media Player.  No audio.  I then played the video I encoded last week - audio plays fine.  I then went ahead and uploaded the video onto YTV as a test to see if maybe it was the Adobe Media Player.  No such luck as there's no audio on the video.  See it here:

Please advise.

My best guess is you have the audio muted in the sequence.

  • Audio will not encode (iMOVIE HD)

I made a sideshow in iMovie with photos & audio. I burned early version to iDVD with no problems. My last revision of this same project (I have put in 30 hours on) when I try to burn a iDVD, it goes all through the process to the last step before the actual BURN and freezes on "ENCODING AUDIO". IT DOES NOT GIVE AN ERROR CODE. I am unable to fix the problem if I don't know what the problem is.
Also, these attempts take approx. 3 hours.

Also, keep your activity monitor open to reassure you that iDVD cpu usage is still humming along. I also like to watch the tempmovie file grow. It can be found in the resources folder of your .dvdproj file.
If you are running the latest versions of everything (iDVD, iMovie 6.0.2, Quicktime 7.1 or 7.1.1 and OS 10.4.6) the process is seeming to take longer than normal for a yet undetermined reason.
MP3 files are suspected of causing problems in iMovie (if not yet proven as they are in theory fully changed to AIF files upon conversion). MP3 is not working now in iDVD 6.0.2 in the menu. I managed to work around the problems I was having with the recent upgrade by exporting my iMovie to a full quality .dv file through Quicktime, and then bringing that back into iDVD for a successful burn.
    Good luck, and patience!

  • IDVD will not encode audio

    Hi,
Just as the topic says, iDVD will not encode the audio......well whats happening is that it says its in the process of encoding....the bar turns grey, and has the loading color wheel thing and thats basically whats happening. Its been doing this for the past hour. I have lots of ram and memory so i dont think thats a problem.....any solutions??
    Thanks

    This question is frequently asked!
iDVD is probably not 'hanging'. Disregard any messages that iDVD is not responding. It is. Do not force quit.
Encoding audio is the slowest part of rendering, and can take many hours. Great patience, even an intermittent alternative hobby, is called for.
Make sure no other application is running, make sure you have not set the hard disk to go to sleep and that the screen saver will not come on. Leave it overnight, or have a 36 hole game of golf.
Sooner or later iDVD will finish!

  • ITunes 11.01 on Windows 8 audio will not sync with video

I have a new computer that is running Windows 8, and I have had no issues with iTunes 11.01 thus far on it other than the fact that when playing videos, the audio will not sync up with the video.
With the ineptitude that seems to define Apple as of late, there does not seem to be any actual support for Windows 8, and the "support" channels do no good at all.
Any ideas as how to fix this problem?

I think Microsoft  made the Windows 8 incompatible with Apple products on purpose, they want windows users to have to download apps from their paid service which is more expensive than Apple's App/iTunes Store

  • Media Encoder will not Encode MPEG but creates XMP file

When I place an MPEG video file in my adobe media createor folder it automatically creates the same file name with an XMP extension with approx 4kb of data. However it will not encode the file and it will not show up in the Queue. Anyone know why?
Trying to convert to FLV - Web 512x288
Also is there a way to automatically remove the item from the queue once it has encoded. Our media encoder queue gets full of converted videos and then crashes.

When i try to add the file manually it says error decompressing. Is this just a corrupt file? Seems to be happening a lot.

  • Need help certain mp4's will not encode in idvd

i am working on an idvd project. i have 5 mp4 files and two of them encode fine. the other three say they are done encoding as soon as they are dropped into the project even though no encoding is taking place. so when i go to burn the dvd it says there are encoding errors and cancels the process. all 5 files play fine in quicktime. and in the preview mode of the dvd. but for some reason will not encode. i have 25gb on hd so i know there is plenty room to encode. could someone help me resolve this issue.
    thank you

Good morning...I too had the problem and tried what was suggested in here ie: going to library file then preference...blah blah blah. It might have work 4 others but not with me. I even called apple techs and gave me almost the same solution. The tech informed me to bring it back to the store...but I will have to pay since I do not have an Apple Protection Plan. I was almost tempted to bring my new 8mos old MacBook back to the store and was ready to buy the Protection plan for a whopping $250+ (good for 3yrs) or for a one shot deal(one service)of $50, until I got myself an idea and iDVD now working and encoding with ease.
    Here is my suggestion:
    1. Back up all the files that is important or you like to an external hard drive or time machine or burn your files as data on a cd/dvd or back them up in sd/usb etc as long as you will be able to recover those files.
    2. Once you have backed them up...Insert the cd (you're supppose to have 2cds that came when u bought your Mac) that says Mac OS X install CD or I believe in the older version CD 1. Follow the instructions when u r prompted. Get your manual if u have to...YOU HAVE TO CHOSE ERASE (COMPLETELY) HARDDRIVE...that's is why it is a must to back up files firsts before doing this step. Be patient as your computer erased your hard disk completely and reinstalling it.
    3. Once program reinstall follow the prompt messages. Mac will ask you basic infos...just fill them up. After that...insert the 2nd CD (Application CD - houses your iLife - in it are the iphoto imovie iDVD etc. Again, be patient!
And that's it....idvd should be up and running smoothly. I tested it myself and I am able to burn on dvd almost every file ie... .mov .mp4 .m4v etc. Some files has to be converted ex. avi file (Windows) to a format that Mac/iDVD will accept.
    I hope this helps.
PS: Whenever you are burning movie, do this action alone (burning) as it takes a lot of power/energy on your MAC. Burn and leave it. I got into this mess because my Mac was burning movie and I was multi-tasking on my Mac. It's a big NO - NO.

  • Audio Will not export for clips longer then one minute

I am running adobe premiere pro cs3 on my HP Pavilion.  i run windows XP service pack 2.
Until recently i had no problem but the other day I tried exporting from adobe media encoder under these settings:
    Format: M-PEG 2
    Widescreen 16:9
    NTSC
The bit rate varies. I've done larger bitrates and smaller bitrates.  it doesnt help.
And suddenly it would render my full video with an mpg extension but there was no audio. I ran it again but shortened the size of the clip, and it came out perfectly fine, audio in tact.  lengthened the sequence again and it wont export audio. its not that the audio box isnt checked, and its not rendering the audio as a seperate file like it used to.  I do a LOT of editing and run my own online show, so it is very important for me to be able to render these videos like this.  I could always render as AVI but that takes up soooooo much space, and most of the other formats are too low quality for me to import again and edit, or even just to upload for people to see.  can anyone help me?

Yes, HDD = Hard Disk Drive. One often sees it listed as HD, but that can also stand for High Def, so I use the HDD abbreviation myself.
Now, how you have things set up, that 15GB of free space is probably not nearly enough. This is especially if one has their Windows Page File dynamically managed by the OS (default method), as it is very, very likely that the Page File is filling up the remainder of the HDD.
If everything is on the external, media, Project, Scratch Disk, Export folders, etc., one might be able to squeak by with that overloaded HDD, but I need to point out - at about 75% of capacity, the HDD's performance will start to slow, and this will intensify, as more is used. This overfilling can result in failure. I would look into cleaning up the C:\.
Also, when video editing, a 2x physical (not partitions) HDD setup is the bare minimum, and a 3x HDD setup is even better.
Some get around this, a bit, by using eSATA externals, which will be almost as good as the internals. Not sure that I would recommend any other connection type though. I use FW-800 externals, but have a minimum of a 3x internal on my laptop and an 8x on my workstation, so there's always plenty of internal storage. I just use the externals, to migrate the Projects between my computers.
Good luck, and pay really, really close attention to that filled C:\.

  • RAM preview audio will not play through bluetooth headphones

I am using bluetooth headphones (Jaybird Freedom Sprint) to try and edit audio/video in after effects. However, when I go to Preferences>Audio Output Mapping and choose "Freedom Sprint" and click OK, close the preference window, and it will automatically go back to the default "Built in Output" when I open it back up. It will only play the sound through the Mac Pro tower I am using. Is there a way to get the headphone option output to stay permanently?? Is there a reason why it is not staying selected?  Another thing I forgot to mention is that all other sounds work (like iTunes, volume up/down) through the headphones except for the audio RAM preview in After Effects. How can I disable the audio from playing through the tower? Very frustrating!
BTW - the only time headphones actually work is when they are plugged into the tower. These ones obviously can't be plugged in.
    Thanks! (Screenshots provided for help)

Thanks! I definitely did try that first... (trying to find a solution with the headphones). You can't find any info about them online/their website. Regardless though, After Effects will not allow me to play the audio output through any other device except for the Mac Pro tower - even playing it through the LCD Cinema Display won't work.
    Thanks for your reply

  • Media Encoder for CS4 (Mac Version) will not encode

    Hi-
I am editing on a new macbook pro and Premiere works great....but the media encoder keeps giving me error messages stating the source media can't be found. I have tried to update the software, but the update will not complete (update work for the rest of CS4). I have reinstalled and still have the same problem. I have downloaded to the most current patch but it tells me the version on my computer is newer. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Any ideas?

  • Audio will not transmit to TV via Displayport

Please read carefully as I have spent 8 hours on this issue and if you have a simple answer, I have probably already tried it. I want to explain the problem in full detail and get some real tech experts to help. Thank you!! The first thing you need to know about the Lenovo Thinkcentre 6234-A111 is that there is no HDMI output. There is a displayport output. Therefore, I bought this adapter: http://www.walmart.com/ip/V7-DisplayPort-to-HDMI-Adapter/29530877 I then ran an HDMI cable to HDMI 1 on my TV. The picture transmits. The audio does not. I have already tried the following common "solution:" 1. Right click audio icon2. select playback devices3. Right click in blank area to make sure that disconnected and disabled devices are showing After performing these steps, there should appear a TV icon called HDMI audio. You should then be able to set this as the default. The problem is that this TV icon does not appear. There is also no option for HDMI audio in the device manager. I have determined that the thinkcentre refuses to recognize that my TV has speakers. It only recognizes my TV as a monitor, which shows up as "generic PnP monitor" under device manager. Please tell me how I can force my computer to recognize the audio device attached via HMDI cable via displayport adapter. Thank you for your help! I am desperate. If this does not work it means time & money wasted.

I am adding to this thread to hopefully help others with the same issue. I found the exact model (M58P) and type (6234) of my PC here: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/desktops-and-all-in-ones/thinkcentre-m-series-desktops/thinkcentre-m58p/documents/PD000963?tabName=ProductParts. The type of computer (in this case, 6234) is incredibly important because it tells you whether you require an NVIDIA graphics driver, or an AMD Radeon Graphics Driver. In this case, my PC runs on an ATI Radeon HD3470 256M PCIe Graphcis card. This type requires a graphics driver for the HD 3000 series. After much browsing, I found it: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy2&os=Windows%207%20-%2032. From what I can tell, my PC does not currently have a Radeon Driver, which is completely bewildering. Windows 7 is supposed to do this stuff for me automatically. Somehow the Intel Chipset is running my integrated graphics card, but not allowing audio through the displayport. I am not home, but I am very excited to try out this Radeon driver tonight. Does anyone know if this can run side-by-side with the Intel G43-G45 chipset (under display adapters in device manager), or will I need to uninstall that chipset before I can run this Radeon Driver?

  • "sent audio" will not open

    Hi
In FCP, Im trying to fix up some audio. Sent the clip to Soundtrack pro (STP) but STP says error "cannot open render.mov"
    any suggestions?
I also tried opening the file directly - eg "open in editor"didn't work
also tried changing the extension to ".wav" which didn't work either.
I also posted this in STP forum - dont know which program is the culprit at this point.
I was able to get it to open as a multitrack project, then changed that to an audio file, but after that, I can only save the file like an orphan - it will not update the section in FCP which means I would have to attempt to match the audio to the video - lypsync frame by frame which never works right.
there must be a simpler way?

If it is an IMAP account you might have to wait for an update/synchronization of your actions on the server.

  • Cp6 - Audio will not continue using Button

    Hello;
I have researched the audio / Captivate section of this forum but cannot find the answer. Here is the issue:
I setup a button to open a URL. I want the slide to pause while the user reads the info in the url.  The only way I can get the audio to stop is to select "stop audio when paused" box. All is well until I want to continue.
I have a click button setup for "continue" . When this button is clicked the slide continues but the audio does not. It would seem that there should also be a box that allows for audio to "Start".
    Any help is appreciated.
    Regards;
    Rick

    Hello Anjaneai;
This has been a curious issue. After many repeated attempts any many permutations of the button settings in the properties box, the audio continued to play.
However in the past when I have issues such as this, I try to duplicate the problem in a new project. So when set up the exact same conditions in the new project I could not duplicate the audio problem.
So it seems that this is a "one-time" isolated issue in that I could not duplicate the audio problem in the new project. To further investigate I removed all audio from the old project, and for some unknown reason the audio continued to play. (I did ensure that it was not inserted as a project background audio).
In summary I cannot duplicate the audio play issue in the new project and all appears to be functioning well in the new project.
Thank you very much for responding and I will let you know if I have the issue again.
    warm regards;
    Rick

  • Media encoder will not encode my project files

My CS4 Adobe Media Encoder will not start encodeing it goes any where from 0:04- 0:17 elapsed time then stopes and does nothing. I have also tried to update it t the latest version but the update wont install, I download it fine and it loads to where the green bars almost hit the end then they flash to 0% and work there wayback up faster and this is repeated continuously till I stop it. I am running a trial version of Adobe CS4 Master collection.

    >I am running a trial version of Adobe
The trial version has file type (codec) limitations... and will only run for 30 days

  • Audio will not load into PRE 7

I just bought a Canon Vixia HF R10 Camcorder.  It records audio in Dolby Digital Plus. It is hard disc High Def.  When I import the files from the camera into PRE 7 the audio does not come with the video.  I know the audio is making it into my computer because the files play fine in windows medio player.  I get the video from the file into PRE 7 but no audio at all.  Can anyone help?

Glad to see that you posted here, and welcome to the forum.
Let's start with a few questions:
When you run the AV files from the camera through the great, free utility, G-SPOT, what does it show, especially for the Audio CODEC, and channel-count? A screen-cap of G-Spot would be very useful.
If you Import a WAV file (like one of the sounds from Windows) into PrE, do you get Audio there? This is but a test, of the Audio Hardware settings.
    What is your Project Preset?
Good luck, and many others will be by soon.
