Audiobook / Cloud problem

Hi,
Am new here, and I really hope someone can help - had a look through the forums and can't fidn the answer - maybe am lookin gin the wrong place!
Today I bought an audiobook (ironically the new Steve Jobs biog) while on my iphone. Was given message that as I wasn't connected to Wifi and the file too large for 3g I would either be able to download on the phone later (via wifi), or through itunes on the computer.
I have connected up to the computer, after looking on itunes and not finding my purchase. When I go to the recent purchases I can't see the book (in either books or music).
Is this to do with an overload on the cloud? Had a similar inciddent with a half loaded app last week that eventually just ended up appearing on itunes on the computer!
Anyone any ideas how I can get my new book to listen to tonight??

Are you able to copy it from the iPad to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases and see if it plays on there (it whould copy over to the Books part of your iTunes library) ?
If it doesn't play then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history (audiobooks are a one-time only download so you will need to contact Apple for a re-download or credit) : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that audiobook and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, 24 to 48 hours).
Some people have had a problem with the 'report a problem' link (it's been taking people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) - if it does that to you then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

  • I see I'm not the only one with Cloud problems....

    I did a search to see if others were having problems with the Cloud service.  I started getting error messages on my desktop but didn't give it much thought because I don't care all that much about the desktop.  But today I keep getting a message from the Cloud app....well I guess it's the Cloud app. It tells me to sign in...which I attempt to do....then it says I'm locked out and to go online and change my password.  So I do that....still have the same problems on my phone....whatever I'm doing ...it stops and here comes the stupid app I guess asking me to log in to the Cloud.  I use the new password and it still doesn't work.  Then I checked the Cloud on the desktop...can't sign in to that either.  So I have now attempted to call the number that has come up on my phone and on my desktop to call.... 800-922-0204...and after being redirected to some other number I've been on hold for over 15 minutes. 
    So anyway, now I see that lots of people are having Cloud problems and the really irritating thing is that the responses from the Verizon people are just no help whatsoever and they have this fake cheery sound to them...like they want you to think nothing is wrong and I haven't been on hold forever etc. etc. 
    Why not just admit that Verizon is having lots of troubles...looks like for at least a month but maybe several months....with the Cloud service?
    Just admit it lol....
    And then when it's fixed let me know.  But then I guess they couldn't charge me for it if they admitted it.

    This sucks. I go in with a phone problem, they transfer everything to the cloud to do a factory reset only to decide they will have to send me a replacement phone. So I spend the afternoon trying to get my photos and stuff off the cloud, only to constantly get an error. I don't want the cloud, I want my stuff and to disconnect. They have me on hold for 10 minutes, try 100 things again over the phone, then ask if I want to wait while they get a guesstimate on when the cloud will be up. I said no, they will give me a guess and either they will be right or they will be wrong. She was surprised by that answer!

    Is apple covering up cloud problems? No email for hours on 4/3 and 4/4?

    My email was working fine all day on those dates.
    Every problem people experience isn't always affecting everyone. It would be impossible for Apple to publish every single problem 100million+ iCloud users experience each day. Many problems are specific to individual users accounts, devices or connections. Doesn't mean its a cover-up.

    I tried to join/sign up for Adobe Cloud online and it is still giving me a "please wait" message and it has been over 12 hours. I don't want to refresh or leave the page in case it messes it up. Does it normally take this long to process??

    Nope. You have a connection problem with your browser or it's suppresssing a JavaScript. Refresh the page, check your Adobe account. If soemthing went wrong, contact support directly by phone or web chat and try to use a different browser the next time...

  • Creative Cloud problems since Mavericks update

    Hi
    Has anyone else had problems using Adobe Creative Cloud since upgrading to Mavericks? I have a Mac Pro at work and everything runs smoothly on that but my 2nd license on my home iMac doesn't work properly. Photoshop won't open and constantly freezes, dreamweaver won't open at all and Premiere is hit and miss whether it opens or not... Any ideas what the problem could be? Creative cloud isn't cheap it should work by now!!! Grrrrrr

  • Order of Imported MP3 Audiobook Tracks Problem

    I buy audiobooks from audible.com and want to burn the entire book as a MP3 as my car CD player will play MP3's. Since you can't download MP3's from audible, I bought a program that burns virtual CD's on the Mac HD and then converts the CD to MP3 files. It works fine, but when I import the MP3's into iTunes to burn to CD, the order of tracks is completely scrambled. The tracks end with sequential numbers, but iTunes apparently ignores those numbers. The tracks are in sequential order when I import them into iTunes.
    The last book I did had 123 tracks and it was a royal PITA to manually put them in sequential order in iTunes.
    Is there any way to force iTunes to order the tracks based on the ending sequential number or to follow the same order they are in when imported?

    I do burn from an iTunes playlist. The problem is that when I drag the converted files into the playlist the order of the tracks is completely scrambled.
    Is there a way to tell iTunes to look at the last number in the file (track) name and sort sequentially?

  • Creative Cloud: Problems installing Photoshop CS6

    I have a license to Creative Cloud but I have problems installing and running Photoshop CS6. When I launch the program it says I can test Photoshop Extended for 30 days but then I need to buy a license. Additional information: 1) I did have Photoshop CS6 beta installed before. Now it is uninstalled (in the correct way from the Control Panel) but still same problem 2) All other Creative Cloud programs install and launch without problems. How do I solve this?

    I tried to follow the advice. I removed all Creative Cloud programs. I
    then cleaned twice using the cleaning options 3: Creative Cloud and
    then 7: CS6. Then re-installed Adobe Application Manager and then
    re-installed Photoshop CS6. Still same problem.
    I have NOT yet tried to un-installed my old CS 5.5 Design Standard
    package.I have also not un-installed my Lightroom 4. Is it necessary
    also to remove those programs?

  • Adobe Creative Cloud Problem

    Hi, I downloaded Photoshop CC and Dreamweaver CC  3 days ago everything worked well, unfortuantly got the ZeroAccess.hi virus. Has to do a System restore so everything for the pass month was deleted on my system. Fixed the problem but now Dreamweaver CC and Photoshop CC is now removed went back to my Adobe Application Manager to download it again but now only say need a update. Tried the update and now error Error log file location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers.  Please help. Thank you

    Rename the following folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp to something like --PDApp.
    Restart your browser and go to https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud to download the CreativeCloudSet-up.exe. Run it and you should be able to install successfully.

  • Photoshop and Lightroom 5 from the Cloud problem.

    Just purchased and downloaded Photoshop and Lightroom 5 from the Cloud.  Had a problem with Lightroom when trying to mate it up with LR4 can I delete LR5 and use the Cloud installer to reinstall?

    When you installed Lightroom 5, and then started it for the first time, it should have given you the option to upgrade your existing Lightroom 4 catalog. Allowing Lightroom 5 to do that will give you a new copy of your existing catalog, with the same folder structure and all of your images that you have previously imported included in that new catalog. After that conversion has taken place you can uninstall Lightroom 4, and you can get rid of the old version of the catalog. If you were to decide to keep the Lightroom 4 installed, it would continue using the original catalog which would point to the same images. But any adjustments made in Lightroom 4 would be completely independent from what you might do in Lightroom 5.

    Now have to license trial everytime I start the app,
    Undate manager fails to upgrade to 13.1.2 with following note:
    repeated attempts produce same result.
    Use iMac 17, 16gb, os 10.8.3

    Jeff tranberry intimated that the error code i got was probably due to some absent component in my PSCS6 (perm lic) install.
    I deactivated PSCS6 and then uninstalled PSCS6. I then went to CC and downloaded the CC version of PSCS6. This went smoothly. Subsequently I ran update from HELP menu and a number of apps were quickly updated.
    There was no "TRIAL VERSION" problem.
    In addition, my cloud subscription was activated in minutes.

  • Audiobook playback problem on iPod

    Hi,
    Does anyone know how to make the iPod automatically play all sections of an audiobook?
    The way mine is working, when it finishes a section, it stops playing and goes to the top level menu. That wouldn't be so bad if the sections were 4 hours long, but most of them are less than 5 minutes.
    This isn't a new problem, my clickwheel/dockable iPod has always worked this way, and the workaround I've been using is to have a smart playlist on the iPod, but I'm hoping there's an actual fix!
    Any suggestions on how to make audiobook playback on the iPod work properly?

    Now it's OK if the iPod stops playing segments after they finish because they're hours long instead of minutes.

    I have just purchused the $50/month subscribtion for the Adobe Cloud. So I have acces to downloading all of adobe products. When I try to download Adobe Flash is asks me to update my adobe cloud, its starts the update but at the end it says the update failed on my desktop. My email is verified. So I cannot download anything at the moment so I am very unhappy. Please I need help ASAP. Thank you

    1.  sign out and then back in to your adobe cc desktop app.  retry to download flash
    2. if that fails, restart your computer and redo step 1. then retry downloading flash.
    3.  if that fails, use solution 2 here, http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html
    4..  if that fails, you can start using your cc apps now by following the steps below:
    if you follow all 7 steps you can directly download a trial here:  http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-direct-download-links.html
    and activate with your adobe id.
    if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies. 
    the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com). 
    failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version.

    When I tried to download a CD audiobook, it will go into the itunes library. I want it to be in the 'Books' category in the library. I go to 'get info' under the 'File' menu, then to 'Options'. 'Media Kind' is not highlighted. Is there a solution?

  • Moving notes from iphone to iMac and cleaning up cloud problems

    First off let me say I've had a very hard time finding any documentation of cloud services.  It's been very frustrating tying to figure out what's going on. 
    I decided I wanted all of my apple devices to be sync'ed for the main apps I use (notes, reminder, calander, and contacts).  During the startup process for using cloud services a number of questions were asked and I'm sure due to my lack of understanding of cloud services I made mistakes.  The end result is I ended up with many duplicate entries.  Trying to clean up the duplicates caused more problems.
    Here's where I am:
    on iPhone:
    good copy of notes
    good copy of contacts
    reminders look sync'ed with iPhone
    calancer seems to look sync'ed with iMac
    on iMac:
    a few notes on cloud but many gone when I tried to clean up duplicate notes on iPhone
    good copy of contacts on cloud (I deleted all entries "on my Mac")
    reminder seems to look sync'ed with iPhone
    calancer seems to look sync'ed with iPhone
    Here's what I'd like to have:
    on iPhone:
    keep good copy of notes but have it on cloud
    good copy of contacts from cloud (basically what iMac now has from cloud)
    reminder on cloud and synced with iMac
    calancer on cloud (may already be)
    on iMac:
    good copy of notes from iPhone that are on cloud (currently not so)
    keep current icloud copy (still shows "on my Mac" although I deleted all entries)
    reminder on cloud and synced with iPhone
    calancer on cloud (may already be)
    On both the iPhone and iMac I have cloud services on for all the main apps except mail.  I don't know what cloud services will mean for mail as I'm not using the apple supplied email account(again no doc to tell me what happens).
    What I don't want to happen is to lose my notes or contacts.  I'd be very unhappy.  My notes have been generated almost exclusively on my iPhone.
    I still need to turn on cloud services for my iPad but will wait till I straighten out the above mess.  I don't want to confuse things any more than they arleady are.
    Can anyone please help my achieve what I layed out above.  I would be most appreciative.

    Can anyone suggest how to get my questions/problems resolved.  I'd go to a local apple store but I can only carry my iphone which won't help much with the imac.
