Audiobook stopped working - won't play anymore

I've been listening to an audiobook - downloaded from iTunes - on my iPhone. This morning I went to listen to it and it wouldn't work. The audiobook shows up, and it looks like it's playing, sort of. That is, the pause button is showing, i.e., it's in play mode, but the seconds aren't ticking off. I tried pushing pause/play numerous times, but nothing happens. When I move the scrubber to the middle of a chapter, it does move, but when I then hit play, it moves back to either the beginning or end of the chapter.
This is only happening with the book I was in the middle of. All other books and music play fine.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

I had the same problem but I was just able to resolve it. I had to remove the audiobooks from the iPhone and re-added it. See my reply on this thread:

Did the battery run out of power? If not, try doing a Reset to "reboot" the iPod

Please help! My old movies won't play anymore.

I have a bunch of old movies from my old phone downloaded in iphoto. Up until yesterday I was able to play these movies by simply clicking on them, but I just noticed that won't play anymore. I can still see the still frame of them, but they won't play in either iphoto or quicktime. My newer movies play fine. I'm pretty sure I have all new updates for iphoto and quicktime. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

The 3G iPod can only play SD video. Are you trying to sync the HD version?

I am having almost the same problem, with the same OS, iTunes versions, and kids waiting to watch their favorite movie (Frozen). I am (trying) to play the content on the computer, and hooked up to Vizio TV and external stereo.
The video will display on the TV, but the audio will only play through the laptop. The movie will still play with both audio and video on the laptop.
In researching this morning, it seems that i need to purchase a new TV and stereo that are HDCP "compliant" (NOT just compatible). Folks are also complaining that the same "won't play" issues directly on Mac hardware.
I could not find any current software workarounds or patches (Apple seems silent on this as a "problem").
Upgrading hardware is insulting and (frankly) impossible. Why should I get new hardware that works perfectly well?
I was going to get an Apple TV for Christmas, although not if new products cannot be used with my current hardware. I would rather go back to all Microsoft hardware and software than constantly deal with troubleshooting Apple hardware and software.
I'm going to uninstall iTunes v 12 and reinstall v 11 to see if that works.

HP MediaSmart DVD won't play anymore (HP HDX 16 laptop)

Three days ago I used it to play a Blu Ray and it worked fine. Now it won't play blu rays or dvds anymore. What happens is when it opens and it says disc is ready to play, it doesn't go any further than that. When I hit the play button, the "reading disc" symbol pops up for a split second and goes away again.
I tried re-installing the program, even to an older version but still no luck. I have the latest version too. I also tried doing some critical windows updates and some optional ones. Bad part is that my laptop is a few months past warranty so I'm not sure what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try doing a Windows restore point. Pick a date where you know the player was working.
You will find it in the control panel under "Recovery"
If that doesn't work there a number of things to try.

Macbook Pro wifi stops working, won't turn back on, requires restart to fix?

So for the last two days my Macbook Pro's being doing something very strange. At random times, the wifi will just stop working (as in it thinks I have wifi but no webpages load anymore and my dropbox can't sync) and when I go to turn the wifi off and back on (in an effort to restart the chip thinking it would solve the issue), it won't turn back on. I go into the System Preferences, hit "turn wifi on" and nothing happens. I hit it about 10 times and that does absolutely nothing. I've then tried putting my mac to sleep and waking it back up, which delivers even stranger results; The wifi turns back on, but can't find any networks, both using scan and manually inputting the details of my network. So far the only fix for it is to just restart my Mac and then the wifi works just fine like nothing ever happened (until it happens again, usually a few hours later). I'm currently running OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 on a 15" early 2011 Macbook Pro (MC723LL/A) with 2.2 GHz quad-core i7 and a 1TB Samsung 840 EVO SSD. The most recent modifications I've made are just installing GDB debugger and creating a custom certificate for it to be able to run Eclipse C/C++ IDE on my Mac, but I seriously doubt that would have caused the issue (especially since that was running for a few days before this happened). Has anyone else had a problem like this?

So many people are having this problem. I believe I have solved it. I posted it on another thread, but I will post it here:
First - let me say that I tried trashing the bluetooth preferences and restarting. That worked for about 10 minutes, then I also tried reorder the connections in Network Preferences, that didn't do much either.
Here's what worked: Open System Preference, click on "Energy Saver", uncheck "Wake for network access". This has totally worked for me. I connect flawlessly and immediately to my network and to my printer.
My order of connectivity of network devices is still ordered where Bluetooth is near the last of the devices. But really, try deselecting "Wake for network access"

I'm using Vista. I installed a couple weeks ago and it's been working fine until today. On startup I keep getting the message "Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." I worked my way through most of the troubleshooting guide and when I couldn't find the preferences file to rename I figured it might be "lost" and I should just uninstall and reinstall, but that didn't fix it, it still won't start. I really need this program and it was a lot of money (for me). Getting frustrated! Anyone?

Try this. It worked for a few users after a drop.
Turn the iPad over and give it a very HARD slap on the back. May take several slaps.

DNG Converter suddenly stopped working, won't read NEF files

Hi all, I'm new here, but am looking for some help.
I currently am on a mac book and run photoshop CS3. I've been shooting with a nikon d700 in raw. When I upload the photos to my computer I've previously run them through the DNG converter without a problem. Now, for the past two days it has just stopped working. When I try to convert the NEF files, they are just greyed out, I can't select anything. I tried reinstalling the DNG converter, but still no luck.
I never had any issues with it before, and now it suddenly won't read my files. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Had you run the DNG on a Mac before? On the Mac, the DNG Converter works on folders only, not on individual files (unless you use the Finder to drop the icons of your raw files on the DNG Converter application icon). From within the application, using File > Open, the icon and names of individual raw files will always appear grayed out.
You need to target the folder that contains the files you want to convert.
CAVEAT: all eligible files in the folder will be converted, including any and all DNG files that may already be contained in the folder. So if you have any DNGs in that folder, they will also be converted again and the original DNGs may be overwritten.
