Audiobooks on iOS 6.1 not working

Both my iPad and iPhone refuse to play audiobooks after installing 6.0+...it freezes the whole device as a matter of fact.
Why has this not been addressed yet?

Which word do I keep using? And yes, wifi re-booted multiple times and as noted - full signal, still get "server not available, server not found, or cannot connect to iTunes". Seeking assistance not insults. It's not inconceivable since it only started after the update and was fine before as noted by other users.

Just had this issue. I turned WIFI off and it connected fine. Then turned WIFI back on and working as always.
It had something to do with the WIFI conflicting with the exchange server.

It's not supposed to. Doing that requires a 2012 or newer Mac; earlier ones can use AirDrop with other Macs, but not iOS devices.

IOS 6: iMessage not working (iPad 2)

So I updated to iOS 6 (why on earth it needed 2.1 GB of free space I'll never know) this past Thursday. At first, I was really impressed.
A promising future. Then things started to go downhill.
I had to send a message (whenever I refer to a message, I mean through iMessage) to a friend about an assignment that our professor had given us. Well I made the text and went on to use something else. Only hours later, when I didn't get a response, did I see that it failed. I tried again and again for an hour and it did not work. And yes, I turned iMessage on and off, quit the application many times, and turned my iPad on and off. It wasn't the Internet connection, the connection was really good. So I have no idea what's going on.
However, my iPhone 3GS has not had any problems with iMessage. It's on iOS 5. (I haven't updated it to 6 b/c it requires 2.2 GB of free space, as if I had that, and when I connected my iPad 2 to my computer, it won't sync. My computer is running on 10.5.8. So I can't get the latest iTunes, and therefore cannot sync my iPad).
So has anyone found any way of fixing this? Apple needs to go back to the drawing board and figure out how to fix this.
And then give everyone who updated a complimentary something and an update to fix the problem.
I'm so glad I didn't buy the new iPhone 5. Wouldn't want that problem.

I would do as what Diavovex suggested:
Settings >>> General >>> Reset >>> Reset all Settings.
Once you have completed this, ipad will reboot, connect again to your Wi-Fi and then try to Reset imessage again. Just make sure your Apple ID and password are ok ...... try log in to Apple Store and if this is not an issue then I don't see why imessage cannot connect?

Update: iMessage worked for a day and is not working again. This is getting old... it says I am activated and ready to use iMessage but it just wont work and my friend has her iMessage working and on too...

I have tried updating my iPhone 4s to iOS 6 since wednesday and its not working, I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes on 2 laptops and both say the download has been corrupted and when I try to update the phone over wifi it says there has been an error... I have even tried to restore the phone but that won't work either. PLEASE HELP!

Ask your carrier to send you the settings over wifi and then install them that way.
I'm on giffgaff and I used the giffgaff app from the store to sort this out.
Overall though I must say Apple has let itself down on this as why isn't something written in the ios script that keeps the original settings??

IOS 7 camera not working

Not sure whats up with my iPhone 4 Factory Unlocked model. The phone it self was purchased around 1 1/2 years ago. But around 3 weeks ago I finally choose to update it to 7.0.4, while it was running the last release of iOS 6. Now I can't get the camera to work. The camera application will lunch but will either
Lag
Show black screen and when taking photos save only black photos
Show analog like lines (green, purple, white) and save images in such way
Show black screen without ability to switch between Video/Camera/Square and no ability to take image
I have tried resetting the iPhone in hopes that that may fix the issue. The camera app still seems to have a mind of its own. One time it will work, and the next 20 times it will not work.
Any suggestions on how to fix it? Or should I try over and over to re-install the iOS 7.0.4 via iTunes?

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

other uses have has this problem even with iOS 6 so I do not think iOS 7 is the cause.

IOS 6 AirPrint not working with 10.6 Server - FIX!!!

Not sure if there are any bods out there that use 10.6.8 server for AirPrint but if you do - you will have noticed that iOS6 doesn't see shared printers where as iOS5 does. Below is the fix. You need to be reasonably proficient with Terminal but otherwise - straightforward. Hope this helps.....
(Obviously you can stop the service and use Netputing's AiorPrint Activator but for a server based managed queueing system, this just allows it to works as it did before.)

Stop Print Services and as root from terminal using vi or equiv add the following:
(you will need to chmod 744 to edit then 444 the mime file after. 'touch' the files when your done)
It may work being left rwx but I don't know - I have just put the files back to their original state.

Arrr - your Printer is AirPrint capable. You are printing direct from an iOS device to the printer. Some printers need a firmware update - others will work with iOS 6 straight away.
The issue above relates to Mac OS X Server 10.6.8 (not client) and in relation to Print Services. You can use 10.6 Server and AirPrint to Any printer you like - not just an AirPrint ones. This is what AirPrint Activator does for client - the above fix mends for Server.

Group Messaging not working for me when there are both Iphones and Androids involved. iPhones still using iOS 7 don't seem to be having problems leading me to believe this is an iOS 8 problem. Is there a workaround for this yet, or is this a legitimate bug fix that Apple will have to address?

iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
To resolve issues with sending and receiving iMessages, follow these steps
Check iMessage system status for current service issues.
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure that you registered iMessage with your phone number or Apple ID and that you selected iMessage for use. If the phone number or Apple ID isn't available for use, troubleshoot iMessage registration.
Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify data connectivity. If a data connection isn't available, troubleshoot cellular data or a Wi-Fi connection.
iMessage over cellular data might not be available while you're on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn which network your phone supports. If your network doesn't support simultaneous data and voice calls, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on to use iMessage while you're on a call.
Restart your device.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
If you still can't send or receive an iMessage, follow these steps

The hide or restore purchases feature, is not working on iOS devices since the iOS update 6.0

It doesn't work on iOS 6, and I don't know if it's permanent or only temporary. You should still be able to hide and unhide things via your computer's iTunes, and you can still view and download hidden items on iOS 6 (but not hide or unhide them).

IOS 8 Safari not working with sites using Windows Authentication (again)

A testbed of iPhones and iPads were updated to iOS 8 today. When trying to access intranet sites in our company that use Windows (IIS) Authentication, it challenges for the login and password 2 or 3 times, then nothing - just hangs. These sites work fine on iOS 7 devices - and worked on the same devices that were upgraded.
Windows Authentication was broken in iOS 7.0 also and not fixed until a later update. Why does this keep getting broken?

I just tested with Chrome on the iPhone upgraded to iOS 8 and it works fine. It is Safari that is broken again.
Of course, Apple won't give us a way to make Chrome the default browser when links are clicked in emails, so it's not exactly a solution.
