Audiobooks - so far Apple's support has been less than helpfull.
I lost a bunch of audiobooks (hard drive failure) and my backups were wiped out by my son. :/ Does anyone know how to download audiobooks? I got a reply for support, that was literally the 'cut and paste' response, but thus far - nothing has come up (it's not showing in purchases... - tho everything else is...)
There's only one way to find out what Apple might do in your case. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.
I will say though that I've had two iPads and an iPhone and my wife also has an iPhone. Total use time is 6-7 years and we've never had a cable tear or fail.

I rented a movie on Itunes last night and I watched half of it before falling asleep. Today I tried to open the movie and watch the last half but I cannot find it. It has been less than 24 hours since I rented it. Where can I find the movie?

Had the same problem and spoke with Apple Support. They had me reset the System Management Controller:
Shut down the computer. With the computer off, on the left hand side of the keyboard press shift+control+option along with the power button simultaneously and release. Wait 5-10 seconds and restart the computer.
This solved my problem and I was immediately able to purchase, download, and play an HD movie from iTunes w/o any error message. -
Photos either do not arrive at all or arrive as an unrecognized file type, or sometimes go straight through. Apple support has been unable to resolve. Does anyone have any suggestions??? I am experiencing this on all my devices -- MacBookAir, iMac, both running most current version of Lion; iPad v1.0; and iPhone 4S

If you can not send from any of these devices then it has to be your e-mail service - the e-mail clients for OS X and for IOS 5 are totally different - the only common thread between all of these devices is your e-mail service

My apple I'd has been discarded for security reasons. The site asks me to give my email and they would send me the further instruction. But no Emil has arrived so far. Since January. And I did requested help multiple times. :( any ideas where can I solve

When I try to enter codes for digital movie downloads it tells me "code redemption is temporarily unavailable. Try again later." Customer support has been no help. Anyone else have this problem?
Am sick of going back and forth with what has turned out to be worthless customer support. Have sent them so much info and pictures, no help. All they do is send me links for instructions on how to redeem the codes. I know how to redeem, I have redeemed at least 50 codes. To them I am obviously an idiot though. To me it seems to be a problem on their end, but can't get an answer from them on why it is telling me code redemption is unavailable. Please help! Anybody!Confirming my suspicions with every passing hour. Support on this forum is non-existent like the support from Apple support. But, you got my money now... why would you care?

My Apple ID account has been disabled.
My Apple ID account has been disabled. Whenever I try to login to my account to update apps on my mac or iPhone, I get a message that my account has been disabled. If I try to reset my account, I am told to enter the Recovery Key from my two-factor authentication setup. While I do have two-factor authentication on, I never saved the recovery key. A few days ago I called Apple Support and they eventually told me that the account would be unlocked unlocked after 8 hours, and then I could try my password again. This is obviously not the case.
I'm trying to figure out my next steps. Obviously Apple can't reset my account over the phone. However, the website seems to indicate that I will have to create a new account. Is there a way I can prove I am the owner of my account? Like if I brought my macbook and/or iPhone into the Apple store, would they be able to verify my account/identity and open my account? Also, if I needed a new account, would I be able to transfer my purchases over from my old one?I doubt the Apple store could do anything. They would end up calling Apple support too. If you called support and they agreed to unlock the account but haven't, call them back.
Apple officially states that purchases are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them and can't be transferred. You would have to ask if they could/would do this under the circumstance. -
I had to reset my PayPal account with iTunes and now I'm getting a apple I'd has been disabled on both my iPad and iPhone. I've already done all the steps on my computer. Now what?
They give me that option when I'm setting up my account and I've got all that worked out. But my apple I'd is still disabled on my Mac, iPad, and iPhone. I can't download anything nor can I update any of my apps. I've even changed my account to a credit card and it still didn't help.
Any ideas? I've put in a support request. Hopefully they won't take too long. -
Recieving a 'Your Apple ID password has been reset.' e-mail every few days

I have an inactive Apple ID that has been dormant for over two years. A few months ago I began receiving Your Apple ID password has been reset.
e-mails every few weeks. Changing my password resolved the problem...for a couple of weeks. About two weeks ago I started recieving the 'password reset' e-mail every second or third day. I change my password and a day or two later...same e-mail. I looked for a 'delete account' option in the Apple ID section of the Apple website but could not find one.
My main Apple ID (the one I am currently using) is safe but I don't like the fact that my old account is being accessed regularly. There must be a way to delete the old account permanently. Thanks in advance to anyone who can point in the right direction.

I had an ipod touch 4th generation and used the Apple Universal Dock to play music through my stereo. I just got the 5th generation and the lightning adapter but the adapter does not fit into the dock. Apple tech support has no solution, does anyone?
That is the adapter I purchased from Apple which does not fit in the Apple Universal cradle (which apparently is no longer universal). However, I just created my own solution. The cradle holds the dock connector at a slight angle so the adapter, which has a straight bottom edge, will not slide down far enough to make a connection. Since the adapter has a plastic case, I used my Swiss Army knife to whittle it down to fit. It's a no-tech solution, and free!

Did you also do the reset of the instructions e.g. log out of your account on your iPod by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Store on iOS 6+) and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it ?

I have created an apple ID whiuch has been verified however when I go to download an app mit reverts to an old apple ID and asks for a different password which I do not have. How can I edit or delete the old (alternate) password and ensure that it only refers to the current Apple ID when requesting confirmation. Note the old Apple iD is a gmail account and I read somewhere that you can not edit or delete gmail or me.com apple IDs? Is this the case?

You cannot delete an Apple ID. All you can do is stop using it.

All of a sudden, my ipod touch will only recognize/play purchased items. I then have to completely reset the ipod and re-sync. I've had to do this 6 times, and support has been no help.
So you also rebooted your router correct? Does the iPod still connect okay to other networks?
