Audit archive path

Where do I modify the audit archive path for the Audit Log Management job.
Also, how to I Delet old job logs.
Thank you,
-Lilach

Modify the Network path of archive files under Portal Administration Utility > Audit Manager
Also check out the following KB under Metalink:
Audit Log Management Agent Job Fails
Article-ID: 857242.1
This article explains how to manage database space used for audit messages. To deal with reducing the number of job logs the process is different, but the first step for this would be to make sure you run the weekly housekeeping job on a regular basis. I'll work on an article for those steps, but you can open a support case in the meantime.

  • Java class specified for a rule not present in the archive path

While checking an implementation of configurator, I found a CX rule that has a java class associated with it oracle.apps.cz.cx.xxx.AVCX
But, when I clicked the 'Choose class' button to check where this class is located, I am unable to find the same in the list of available classes.
I have also checked the jar file containing the custom java classes with no avail.
But, the functionality works fine as expected. i.e., while clicking the UI button that invokes this CX rule, it works as it should.
What could be the reason for this? Could the java class be hidden somewhere else other than the archive path specified for this model?
Thanks in advance for any advise.

    Hi Biju,
In this case, this class may be located on the server file system. To know the location of any class on server system, you can do following:
    Open http://host:url/OA_HTML/CZInfo.jsp
Enter your classname with path in apprpriate input box and then find it. It would display the location of the class in filesystem from where its loaded.

  • BPC Audit Archive Functionality in relationg to BPC Purge settings in Admin

    Hi BPC Folks,
I am trying to understand the relationship of BPC Audit Archive process chain(DM) in relation to BPC Audit Purge date settings in the Admin Console.  Can anyone throw some light on this relationship ?   Basically what is the difference between Purge and Archive ?  Also if you can give me the steps to safely archive our audit data, that will be great.  Thanks in advance for your help.    -Stacey.

    Any takers please?

  • Idoc archival Path

    Hi Guys,
I want to know the path where idoc been archived? Is it somewhere in the sap database or at operating system level?. If it is at operating system level, can you let me know how to find the path where idocs are achived.
    Thanks in advance,
    Harikrishna.

    Hi Hari,
archive files will not be stored in the database; it will be stored in the file system at operating system level (or on any of the mounted file systems). another possibility is that it can be stored in an external storage system if you are using one.
You can know the path as follows (if it is stored in the file system):
    - go to transaction SARA
    - enter object name as IDOC and enter
    - click on management
    - expand the tree of 'complete archive session'
    - select any of the recent archive sessions and expand the tree to the maximum level
    - then double click on any of the archive files, you will see the path where the file is archived and file name of the archive file
    hope this helps,

    Dear all,
I want to use ciscoworks up/down load IOS.but do not know where is the IOS file path in ciscoworks

  • Audit Log Management

I cannot get my Audit Log Management job to run. It fails because "Invalid audit archive path. Please check your setting." Where do I check the setting? I am running 5.0.3 with Collab 4.0. Thanks.

Just an FYI, with ZDM 6.5 HP3 the file name changed from AuditLog.txt to
ZRMAudit.txt still located under system32 on Windows XP.

  • Using path variable to CI under transaction file for DBTABLOG archiving

    Hello Colleagues,
I have to configure DBTABLOG archiving among others under transaction file.
Here you have to configure archive path to the filesystem.
E.g.this is the path to the development system:
    DEV23015\Interfaces\Outbound\Archiving_IDOCs\<FILENAME>
It's clear, for test as well production we are using different hostname.
So the consideration was to use a respective variable for the server system.
    E.g.
    <HOST>\Interfaces\Outbound\Archiving_IDOCs\<FILENAME>
But now the problem, we are using CI (centra instnace) and application server for test as well as production and the archiving path respectively the archiving folder are only configured at CI server.
So the HOST variable is not sufficient in this case.
The variable SAPGLOBALHOST pointing directly to the CI server but not possible to configure under TC file.
Any idea which variable possible and pointing direct to CI server?
Or is the only possibility for pointing direct to CI server for archiving to use the HOST variable and modify the archiving job to run only on CI server?
    Many thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Jochen

    You have two options...
First one is to mount that path into all your instances
Second is to use a Server Group Name under Cross-Archiving Object Customizing -> Technical Settings to force that particular object jobs to run on your CI.

The default "Save As" dialog in Acrobat DC is different than the dialog that you've had in earlier releases of Acrobat, it also allows you to save to the cloud and previous locations you've saved files to. It is possible that when Acrobat tries to connect to "the cloud", it runs into problems. You may want to try to turn this feature off to see if that brings your save as dialog back: Open up Acrobat's preferences, then go to the "General" category and deselect "Show online storage when saving files":

  • Changing Path to Archive

    Hello.
We're using GW 8.0.3 HP1. In our Branchoffice we have several users, who uses their Client in Online-Mode (I know that is bad...).
The Archive Path is on BO-Server. When the user starting archiving their messages, the VPN-tunnels load goes up to max. value.
The BO user have access to our HQs network via Citrix XenApp.
For one user I find out that the archive-path is set to BO's servers. It is possible to have the same path in the HQ.
Can I got the Archive from the BO to HQ server without any problems? I know that moving an archive is a little tricky.
Thanks in advance for your answers.
    Best regards from Hannover, Germany
    Dirk Emmermacher

    Hi Dirk,
In ConsoleOne you can set, and lock, the archive path for the users. You can do this at PO level or per individual user. It's under Client Options | Environment | etc.
As long as the archive is not in use, you can simply copy it to the new location. If it's in use you could end up with corruption.
    Greetings from South Africa :)

  • Adobe Audition Interchange folder has gigabytes of files

In Windows, it's under Users-myname-adobe-Adobe Audition Interchange and I cannot believe I didn't find anything related to this on Google or elsewhere. That's really why I am writing this, for others' future reference, and also so this folder stays on my radar to clean manually.
There are subfolders left over from two projects in there, amounting to over 66 gigabytes of data, rendered and extracted audio and silent video files from multicamera shoots of  some plays and concert.
Is this something that I can delete with impunity having archived these projects?
Or even in the middle of an Adobe Premiere project after I have edited the audio and sent it back in?
Why didn't Audition clean up after? An untimely crash (that I don't remember having) or just poor temp file management? The files cover half a dozen different editing days.
This folder isn't mentioned in the Audition temp paths or cache dialogs, it turned up because I am trying to reclaim disk space and a file search found two 16 gb video files created when I was mixing, etc. As I said, no  mention of the path online, this forum, or the help file.
Wondering where else Adobe stashes files that I won't need later but doesn't delete them, There are a few extra imported audio files just above this one too.
If anybody has tips, bring them on.
    Thanks,
    megawatson.

It is definitely a Creative Suite interaction issue, as you have to be sending something to Audition from elsewhere, so it's likely fair to blame Premiere, but that is not where the leftover folder lives. (I've also sent Captivate files to Audition and returned them with great results and no leftover files.)
I was hoping that any edits that may be in these folders were reflected in the Premiere project folders and not just referenced back to the Interchange folder, or at the very least copied into my archive when I Project Manager-backed it up ....
So how are Audition edits saved in Premiere? The answer:
This article goes over the differences between:
    1) "Edit Clip in Audition" (a round trip process that automatically brings it back into Premiere and updates the file there)
    or
    2) editing sequences (not updated unless you export from Audition and import back to Premiere - this can be done inside the programs:  After editing, choose Multitrack > Export to Premiere Pro, and in Premiere follow the dialog to Copy tracks from Audition and place them in the project
    http://www.macprovideo.com/hub/premiere/essential-tips-for-premiere-editors-working-with-a udition
In my case I am confident that I used "Edit Clip" because I was quite thrilled about the feature, and actually after I was done editing, polished it in Multitrack with the second method!
So I can safely delete these files, presuming a Premiere crash or ill-timed closure caused them not to be deleted automatically.

  • File Sender Adapter - File overwritting in the Archiving folder

    Hello Experts,
I am doing File sender to proxy Receiver Async Scenario.
In File Sender adapter, i am using the Archiving option by spacifying the
    Archiving path.
Files are picked up and archiving happen successfully.
Problem is: - once the File is picked up and archivied into the Archiving location
If end user again rectifies some data in the same file and place it in the source directory
then i am getting the following error in RWB Commu. channel monitoring.
Failed to archive file 'File1.TXT' as '/Input File location/File1.TXT' after processing. The FTP server returned the following error message: 'com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 550 File not renamed.  File already exists.  You may delete the existing file and then rename.u2019 For details, contact your FTP server vendor.
I know this is because of File sender adapter is trying to archive the file with the same name(File1.txt) in the archiving location.
My Question: - Is there any option to allow the File sender Adapter for overwritting the
    File in the archiving location.
    Thanks & Regards
    Jagesh

check if there is proper rights to over write files in the archive folder.
The problem seems to be that the rights/authorization is not there. Else the adapter usually overwrites files in the archive folder unless you use the timestamp option.
    Archive
Files that have been successfully processed are moved to an archive directory.
u25A0       To add a time stamp to a file name, select the Add Time Stamp indicator.
The time stamp has the format yyyMMdd-hhMMss-SSS. The time stamp ensures that the archived files are not overwritten and it enables you to sort them according to the time that they were received.
u25A0       Under Archive Directory, enter the name of the archive directory.
u25A0       If you want to archive the files on the FTP server, set the Archive Files on FTP Server indicator. If you do not set the indicator, the files are archived in the Adapter Engine file system.

  • Message archiving in adapter engine

    Hello Gurus,
We have successfully configured message archiving in the integration engine via all the sap documentation and sdn blogs.
For the archiving in adapter engine, we have followed the documentation as well however our messages are simply not being archived in the adapter engine.
The steps for AE we took are as follows:
    1.  goto DataArchivingService/DAS and created an archive store, home path synch and assigned it to an archive path (the ILM browser connects fine as well)
    2.  created the archiving background job in RWB (both default and a custom one with rules)
The jobs seem to be running fine on our schedule but no messages are being processed.  I am assuming the retention period in AE is the one we have set up in SXMB_ADM for IE.
Is there anything we may have missed?

  • Archiving Adapter Engine Messages

For AE we have implemented the Archiving:
The steps for AE we took are as follows:
    1. Created archive store, and after that done home path synch and assigned it to an archive path.
    2. created the archiving  background job in RWB with rules and have default delete job in place.
Archiving job is running once in a day. But Default persistance duration of messages in AE is 30days.
Here I have some confusions in understanding the core logic.
    1. Whether messages which have completed their 30 days of life will be archived ?
    2. or messages which have completed 1 day of life will be archived(Since archive job runs every day) ?
    3. I have seen Archive and delete jobs have different run times, even though delete job didn't completed yet, archive job
is deleting the messages from database. Why it is happending like that ?
    4. Does we need both the archive and delete jobs or archive job alone is fine ?
    Thanks
    kumar

    Kumar,
    Here are my thoughts.
    1. Whether messages which have completed their 30 days of life will be archived ? - NO
    2. or messages which have completed 1 day of life will be archived(Since archive job runs every day) ? - YES
    3. I have seen Archive and delete jobs have different run times, even though delete job didn't completed yet, archive job
is deleting the messages from database. Why it is happending like that ? -
Archive jobs will archive the files to the directory mentioned. you might not have access to the archive directories. i don't think the files will be deleted if you have specified Archive parameter.
    4. Does we need both the archive and delete jobs or archive job alone is fine ?
Archive jobs alone is fine, if you have a specific directory to hold archive msgs.

  • Outlook: How to update folders in automatic archive function

When using the automatic archive function (pdf maker, single portfolio of emails) in Outlook 2010 we have the following problem:
Once set the email folders and subfolder structure of our archive remains at the status of its first setting. This means every time we rerun the archive function NEW folders/ subfolders (added after initial setup) will NOT be included!
Is there any way to automatically update the subfolder structure (e.g. below a main project folder) every time we rerun the archive function???
Otherwise this function is totally useless as any change in our Outlook folder structure is not reflected in the archiving functions, which means NEW folder and their contents are not archived!
We have like 20 projects with different archive paths we now have to archive manually each time we backup.
    Thank you for your help!
