Audit failure every 2 minutes on a W2K8 standalone Server in a Workgroup EventID 4625

Hello
By chance I discovered that every 2 minutes there is a login failure on my standalone (Workgroup) W2K8 R2 Server.
The administrator is disabled (login errors also appear when administrator user is enabled).
Could not find any tasks that are running with administrator credentials. It seems to me that it must be from the same machine, as the source IP Address is 127.0.0.1.
Does anyone have an idea?
Here the log:

  • Large Number of Lync Conference Session Failures Every 3 Minutes

I'm wondering if anyone has ever seen this issue before.  It's new to me.
A client of mine is experiencing extremely high conferencing session failures in Lync.  Once looking into the conferences in question, it looks as though one specific users conferences are in question.  A conference session for this users Lync
meetings are attempting to be joined EVERY 3 minutes, 24 Hours a day with a Response Code of 486 and a Diagnostic Code of 34007.  Here is a ScreenShot of 10 Minutes worth of these attempts:
This user is not experiencing any problems in joining meetings on his own and he is the only user listed as having unexpected conference failures.
My thought was to restart the AV Conferencing Service or reboot the Front End Servers but wanted to run this past some other first.
    Any thoughts?

    UPDATE:
It seems as though it was a hung up process with the AVCMU Agent on one of the Front-End servers.  A simple reboot over the weekend took care of the problem.

  • LSASS.exe Authentication Failure ever 30 minutes

I'm getting two authentication failures every 30 minutes from lsass.exe on various ports (changes every time). The attempted authentication is for the admin account, which was recently changed. This is sourced from the server back to the server on either 127.0.0.1 or the server's IP. Anyone have any idea on this?
This topic first appeared in the Spiceworks Community

Verify your RADIUS configuration with the Test button on the AAA Server Groups configuration screen. Once you supply a username and password, this button allows you to send a test authentication request to the ACS server.
Choose Configuration > Remote Access VPN > AAA Setup > AAA Server Groups.
Select your desired AAA Server group in the top pane. Select the AAA server that you want to test in the lower pane. Click the Test button to the right of the lower pane. In the window that appears, click the Authentication radio button, and supply the credentials with which you want to test. Click OK when finished

  • Kerberos audit failures, ~38-42 events PER MINUTE

We have a server running "Windows Server Standard FE" 64bit SP2 (I know, embarrassing). The issue is that our Security log is getting FLOODED with audit failures from Kerberos Service Ticket Operations. We will see 38 all with the EXACT same time-stamp,
then sometimes the next minute will have another 40, sometimes it's a 5 minute gap, sometimes it's a more random gap but regardless it never waits too long before another huge burst of failures. We actually have the issues on other machines running newer system
(2k3, 2k8) but this one is hands down the most troublesome.
Honestly I might be out of my depth here as I'm really not too keen on Kerberos ticket requests, but any information around this would be greatly appreciated to help me investigate the issue further. These errors haven't actually led to any problems or other
errors, just bug the heck out of me when checking audits.
A Kerberos service ticket was requested.

This event is generated every time access is requested to a resource such as a computer or a Windows service. The service name indicates the resource to which access was requested.
This event can be correlated with Windows logon events by comparing the Logon GUID fields in each event. The logon event occurs on the machine that was accessed, which is often a different machine than the domain controller which issued the service ticket.
Ticket options, encryption types, and failure codes are defined in RFC 4120.

    Hello,
I am waiting for the answer......

  • An account failed to log on unknown username or password. Causing Login audit failures

I have a SBS11 Essentials server that is getting audit Failures over and over again. There computer account says it's the SBS11 server it's self.  It says unknown user name or bad password. I have checked for scheduled tasks, backup jobs, services and
non of them are using any special user accounts.  I have used MS network monitor and can't find anything helpful to lead to the issue.  All computers in the network are running Windows 7.  The domain functional level is 2008 R2.
I get a the 4768 event ID about a Kerberos event and then just after I get a Event ID 4625 account failure with Logon Type 3.  I have includes the events below.  I need to figure what is causing the audit failures as my GFI Test Hacker alert is
catching it every morning.  Disabling the Test Hacker alert is not a option.  I have used Process Explorer also but can't seem to pin it down.  I also enabled Kerberos logging.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/262177?wa=wsignin1.0.  All event codes state its a unknown or no existing account but how do I stop it from happening?

The Logon Type field indicates the kind of logon that was requested. The most common types are 2 (interactive) and 3 (network).
The Process Information fields indicate which account and process on the system requested the logon.
The Network Information fields indicate where a remote logon request originated. Workstation name is not always available and may be left blank in some cases.
The authentication information fields provide detailed information about this specific logon request.
    - Transited services indicate which intermediate services have participated in this logon request.
    - Package name indicates which sub-protocol was used among the NTLM protocols.
    - Key length indicates the length of the generated session key. This will be 0 if no session key was requested.

Well I opened the case for him and he never followed up with Microsoft :-(
It's a kerberos issue, we're told to ignore it.  Would you be willing to be patient and stubborn and work with CSS to at least understand what's going on better?  I can tell you it's normal with Essentials but not the exact technical reason it's
    happening.
Unfortunately TechNet isn't coming back, sorry folks :-(

  • 4265 Audit Failure: NTLM Authentication Issue from constant Outlook Login Prompts

    Hello Technet!
Last week I started running into a domain-wide issue where users could authenticate while connected to the domain, but would receive prompts to log in to our external host. The first prompt is for mail.domain.local, which works fine inside the office, and
the second is owa.domain.com, which continually fails.
On the second prompt, the Exchange 2007 server (on Server 2008 R2) reports the following error:
    Log Name: Security

I've gone through quite a few attempted fixes already, all to no effect:
    1. I've both added BackChannelHostName to the server's registry, as well as described here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/896861
    2. Verified SSL Cert status
    3. Internal and External OWA URI is set to owa.domain.com in EWC
    4. Set up the IIS7 authentication and SSL settings to their defaults, as described here: http://msexchangeguru.com/2010/10/05/autodiscover/
    5. I added a SRV record for autodiscover on our DC to correct an EXPR auth issue: https://acbrownit.wordpress.com/2012/12/20/internal-dns-and-exchange-autodiscover/
Despite all these things, I haven't yet seemed to scratch whatever itch Exchange is having. All of the client Outlooks will get the prompt for owa.domain.com, even though their mail is working because they're in the office or on VPN. For whatever reason,
the Mac Outlook 2011 users cannot authenticate to the mail server at all, so they are the ones hit the hardest by this issue.
Any insight everyone here at TechNet can offer would be appreciated. Every fix and workaround I've looked at has either changed nothing, or pointed to something that was already configured properly. If there are details missing that I could offer to provide
a better idea of the problem, please let me know. Thank you.

    Hi,
Yes, it may be caused by the security updates on March 10, 2015. Please refer to the known issue in the following KB:
    http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3002657
Please remove the security patch on the DC and restart server to have a try. Additionally, here is a similar thread for your reference:

  • Lightroom 1.4.1 crashes every 2 minutes and thumbnails messed up

My Lightroom crashes every 2 minutes and some thumbnails at the thumbnail slider at the very botttom appearing messed up.
Anybody has a solution for this?

I am not sure where to place this message. But I have had such a horrible run with lightroom. Have tried a laptop running vista and a newly built machine 4 gb of memory dual processor sata 10000 rpm hard drives. The catalogue has 74000 photos and the size on disk of catalogue and photos is 800Gbytes. Light room says out of memory backwards in red and the computer suffers delayed write failures and corrupts the catalogue Everything we have tried has had no success. Can't get any serious work done or photos exported and sold. Tried xp machine and vista. I seriously don't know where else to turn and after reading the forums I am seriously dissapointed in whats been reported. Don't other photographers have catalogues this big? How do they do it?
We have had the scroll bar down the bottom scroll endlessy out of control. COrrupt catalogues. THe photographer who I have been advising of the virutes of lightroom is at her wits end. Need I say more.

  • User is getting locked due to incorrect password every few minutes SAPJSF

I have gone through solution manager configuration both as myself and as user solman_admin. Recently the Solution manager system was changed to enforce a more complex password scheme. After changing my password, my account is now getting locked every few minutes due to incorrect logon attempts. The System log states that user SAPJSF from Terminal <solution Manager host name> is attempting to login with my userID and is locking it. so far I have made every change I know to make to all the accounts on the JAVA side and to any and all background jobs that are running to remove my userID from these entries. My account still gets locked and I have no idea where to find what task or process is locking the account.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  • Playback problems every few minutes (with synced media)

Every few minutes during playback of synced content there are pauses that last about a second or two. This happens with both video and music. Maybe a hard disk failure?

Unfortunately your posting doesn't offer any relevant info and it is not easy to say why this happen.
We dont know what have you dont in the past, which additional applications do you use and how your OS is configured.
Try to start clean-up action and remove all useless stuff from your notebook. Check also all start-up options and disable automatic start for all applications that you dont need.
Start with such simple steps. If the problem occurs again and again maybe is time for clean OS installation.
Sorry but it is not easy to say what the problem can be.

  • Failed to start the SASL connection (every 10 minutes)

I have been recently seeing the following console message at 10 minute intervals:
8/23/12 8:46:44.368 AM Mail: [<_LibSasl2SASLClient: 0x7fd1cbe048f0> mechanism: PLAIN security layer: no] Failed to start the SASL connection
    SASL(-1): generic failure:
I use Apple mail connected to a Verizon FIOS internet account using SSL for both incoming (port 995) and outgoing (port 465) per Verizon requirements. Mail does work fine in both directions, just the annoying log messages every 10 minutes.
    Any ideas?,  thanks in advance
    Larry

I just began searching the same message. Mail has been taking a little while to quit. The message you referred to seemed to be triggered about the time Mail was quiting. Along with this one:
9/2/12 9:03:15.900 PM Mail: [<_LibSasl2SASLClient: 0x7f8c02597300> mechanism: CRAM-MD5 security layer: no] Failed a step of SASL authentication
    SASL(-1): generic failure:

  • AA3 skips a second every three minutes, silence / holes in recording.

In edit mode, about every 175 seconds the recording stops for about one second. The recording continues again just fine, but the playback has the blank spots. This is visually seen during recording in the waveform view.
The recorded audio is not in sync with video recorded separately. The audio ends up out of sync, about one second for every three minutes.
This same PC worked just fine with AA1.5 prior to upgrading to AA3. Any ideas?

FIXED: Thanks Choragus, you pointed me in the right direction. It turns out your work around worked to stop the skipping. However, I found that turning on and off duplex is cumbersome. So, I worked on it a bit more. I found a simpler solution.
I found that under "Audio Hardware Setup", I have multiple choices for the "Audio Driver". The default, "Audition 3.0 Windows Sound" includes the duplex choice in the subsequent control panel. However, when I choose the OEM sound card driver (in my case NVIDIA ASIO), the control panel looks completely different. For NVIDIA, there is actually an option to change the Buffer Latency. All the other options, include Duplex went away.
It turns out that with the default latency (21), the AA3 recording was perfect. I had to reset the volume controls under Windows volume panel, including those in the "Recording" properties. After setting these, AA3 not only performed better, it records and plays back without changing any duplex setting. AA3 now scrolls and displays the wave form much more smoothly all the time. It never skips. It records and plays back without making any interim changes to settings. It's back to the way it used to be in AA1.5.
Regarding Double Dawg, I found another tool called "PCI Latency Tool" that may be a little easier. I didn't end up using either one, but I like the idea.
Regarding effects or inserts, we don't use any. We're just using plain and simple recording, CD recording, and MP3 saving.

  • Tecra M9 PTM91E : WLan Intel 4965AGN disconnect every few minutes

I have a M9 laptop, model PTM91E. The wireless connection keeps disconnecting (then reconnecting again) every few minutes. This happens on every wireless network I try connecting to. Here what I have on my laptop: -
    Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN
    Driver version 11.5.0.32
    Driver date 9/26/2007
    XP Pro
Toshiba suggest I upgrade to Windows Vista, something I have nigtmares about.
Does anyone else have the same problem? Any solutions?
    Thanks

I have read about the similar issue on a Sat A210 and with Atheros WLan card.
The solution was a BIOS and WLan driver update
    So check it out.
    Good luck
