  • Is FDM Drill Back Capability for Hyperion 6.5.1 inherent or custom?

    Hi,
I am new to the Hyperion Space. I want to understand if FDM drill back capabilities are automatically available for Hyperion Enterprise 6.5.1 or if there is any configuration that needs to done in order to activate this feature. If configuration needs to be done, is it limited to FDM or does one also need to configure Enterprise 6.5.1 to enable the drill back?
    Any help is much appreciated.

  • Data Access Error HFM to FDM

    Hi
When I attempt to drill back from HFM to FDM the following error is generated. "Data Access Error"
An extract of the error log is below:
    ERROR:
    Code......................................... -2147217900
    Description.................................. Data access error.
    Procedure.................................... clsSQLMgr.fLocationsByIntersection
    Component.................................... upsWObjectsDM

Can anyone help me to resolve this?
SSO is turned on and I have entered the required settings into the FDM Load Balance Server Config and the HFM Web Server Config. A link to FDM has been set up from my HFM application and FDM launches with SSO working correctly.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • Audit Intersection fails from Web Form

We have an HFM 9.3.1 application successfully integrated with FDM 9.3.1, in that when navigating to a base level intersection, which has been loaded by FDM, the audit intersection option allows a drill-through analysis to the correct FDM application / location.
This feature works perfectly OK from right clicking a grid intersection and selecting Audit Intersection. However, if a web form is used to display the same intersection and the user selects Audit Intersection the following error message is generated :-
System Error "The signed on token is no longer valid" the web screen also displays an error stating there are localization errors and that the action is empty or missing.
Repeatedly performing the same operation from data grids and web forms results in the web form audit always failing and grid audit always succeeding.
Looking at the URL parameters I can see that the two sets of actions sent to generate the FDM audit page are indeed different
I have included the source "action" parameter from the IntersectionSummarybyLocation web page. (With line breaks to aid readability)

It would appear that the format for characters is different and the SSO_TOKEN is differrent (although this maybe by design since the calling locations are different).
I have checked that the Grid and Web Form operations are calling the same web page encoding of Unicode (UTF-8).
Anybody got any idea why FORM functionality is failing to display the Audit Intersection?
    Kind regards

Applied Patches 9.3.1.1 thru to 9.3.1.4 (latest).
Problem resolved. Audit Intersections now work from both Grid and Forms.
Incidentally, both "Action" parameters from Grid and Form are now identical including the SSO_Token.

  • FDM: Error retrieving audit intersection cell information

    Hi,
Could anyone please tell me how to resolve an error we've been having?
When I right click in a cell in HFM with a view to using the Audit Intersection menu pick to review data uploaded using FDM, I see the error message "Error retrieving audit intersection cell information". Strangly, this works fine in our PPD environment, but we can't seem to get it working in Live even though the Drill-Back set up was copied across from PPD (with references to PPD changed to Live obviously)
    Thanks in advance
    Phil

Which Version of HFM are you on? I know that in 9.3.1 Classic, you must update the metadata between migrations to the specific application name of FDM, if you have the same FDM app name, this would not apply, but if they change, you will need to change the metadata between them. The FDM app name is defined in the Application Settings dimension of metadata.

  • HFM Drill back to FDM - 9.3.1

    Hi all,
I need some help with the following issue.
We are using HFM and FDM 9.3.1 and trying to configure drill back.
I have configured the FDM URL in the HFM Server and Web Config Window and specified the FDM appname under the HFM app setting.
When drilling back from HFM I get the below error:
Error: No Locations were found matching the passed intersection values. Please verify:
    1) that the target system (originating the drillback) is properly configured;
    2) that the FDM POVs have not been retroactively modified or compromised
The strange thing is that if I create a new FDM application, the drill back works! I know there is a service fix (9.3.1.1) which addresses a drill back issue but I am exporting the same test row and the drill back works successfully for my second app, suggesting this is not a problem with HFM (locked cell or workflow) but with my initial FDM app.
I tried exporting the problem FDM app to xml and import it into the working FDM app after which the drill back failed.
I think there is a problem with the initial FDM app but I can t figure out whats wrong with it.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks for your help.
    Seb

It tuned out to be an issue with the adapter...Not too sure if its because we exported it from one environment and imported it into another.
Below are the steps we used to fix the problem after imported the xml into the target app:
1 - Log on to the problem FDM app
2 - Delete the HFM adapter
3 - Import a blank HFM adapter (same version)
4 - Register the new adapter
5 - Update the dimensions under the adapter (if necessary)
6 - Configure the App Settings and Integration Settings
    7 - Check Control Tables
8 - Import load file and test drill back.

  • HFM Drill back to FDM

How configure the drill back in HFM yo FDM?
    Thanks.
    Edited by: user10486946 on 16-dic-2009 2.49

    Hi,
If you are in workspace ( and version 11), you can see the option when you right click on a grid, the option of 'drill back to FDM'.
This will lead you to the FDM application ,and from there, you can click on ' open data source ' option .

  • Drill Back from HFM works for one year, not another

    Hello,
We are on FDM and HFM 11.1.2.1 and I was doing some reasearch in the system today and for some reason in all periods that were loaded during 2011 in this version (Aug-Dec) I am able to drill back to the FDM source data. However, if I go into 2012 and try a drill back for Jan or Feb it does not work and I get the below error message. I'm guessing there must be a setting I'm missing somewhere, but can't figure out why the year would make a difference here.
Error: No Locations were found matching the passed intersection values. Please verify:
    1) that the target system (originating the drillback) is properly configured;
    2) that the FDM POVs have not been retroactively modified or compromised.
    Thank you,
    Jason

Yes, that is what the problem was. After talking with Oracle support apparently when you upload new periods via the Excel template it does not update the tpovperiodadapter table, which is needed for the drill back from HFM to work. In order to fix this I had the DBA go in and manually update the 4 fields (see below) for the 2 periods we had already loaded for 2012 and all is working now. I also went back and deleted all of the other future periods and added them manually via the FDM web interface.
The table has the following collumns:
    PeriodKey
    IntSystemKey
    PeriodTargetM
    YearTarget
Period Key would be the period date
IntSystemKey would be the adapter system code that was used to load the data to HFM
PeriodTargetM would be the target Month in HFM
YearTarget would be the target year in HFM
    Example:
PeriodKey - 1/31/2012 (format needs to be the same as what's currently in the database)
    IntSystemKey - FM11X-G5-E
    PeriodTargetM - Jan
    YearTarget - 2012

  • Cannot find audit intersection in HFM 11.1.1.3

    Hi all,
CANNOT FIND AUDIT INTERSECTION FROM HFM DATAGRID
    more details:
In order to install properly the audit intersection functionality, I've tried to follow the document "Single Sign-On and Drill-Back Setup from HFM into FDM" which, however, is intended for HFM 9.x.x.
Our HFM version instead is 11.1.1.3. For this reason I could not complete a specific step of the mentioned guide which is "From the HFM Web-Server you need to provide a link
to FDM inside of the ‘Server and Web Configuration".
I checked out both Appl and Web server and I'm not able to find such command.
However, I was able to enable the SSO link between HFM and FDM, update the metadata with the FDMAppName, etc.
At the end of the process, I canno find the "audit intersection" command among the possible "right-click" choices.
    Can someone help me please?

In this release of FDM for drill through you simply need to enable the "Use SSO" integration option and the "Enable Drill Region Load" integration option.
This will create a extra .dat file at export/load to HFM which contains the drill region data that is then loaded to the <HFMAppName>ERPIURL and <HFMAPPNAME>_ERPI database tables in the HFM Database.  These two tables are what cause the "Drill Through to FDM" icon to show in the HFM Data Grid.
Make sure that these integration settings are enabled and then re-run your export/load to the HFM Application.

  • Unable to drill back to the FDM from Hyperion Planning

    Hello,
We are using FDM version 11.1.2.2.00 for integration with Oracle E-Business Suite. We have configured FDM to load the data in three cubes in Hyperion Planning i.e. Opex, Capex and Manpower. When we drill back to the source system after loading the data, The drill through to the source system sucessfully runs for opex and capex. But when we click on 'Drill to the Source'  from web form in Hyperion planning, it gives below error.

    Hi,
In that case can you pls confirm the location is correct or not. Try to check the location from where it is drilling back the data. Compare the location with Opex/Capex scenario. It is not an integration issue, something you are missing, otherwise you will face issues with Opex & Capex also.

  • Is this script still valid for setting up Drill through between HFM and FDM

Guys hoping some one can shed a light.
I am running hfm and fdm realese 11.1.1.3.000
I am having issues setting up the SSO authentication (all the other steps have been done, and HFM is aware that I have uploaded information that can drill back). I am using an SSO script that was part of an Oracle presentation, but don't know if that script is still relevant.
Here is a copy of the script (Visual Basic Script SSO Authentication) :
    Function AuthenticateSSO(token, applicationName)
' Place your single sign-on authentication script here
' To signify an authentication failure, you should
' raise an error by calling the following method:
' Err.Raise [error number over 1000], [source], [description]
' Applicationname = FDMApplication in URL
    Const strProcSig = "AuthenticateSSO"
    Dim strUsername
    Dim strDomain
    Dim objHFMSSO
Dim strClusterName ' HFM cluster name
Dim strAppName ' HFM application name
    Set objHFMSSO = CreateObject("upsIntBlockFM40C.clsHypeWindowFM")
If Not objHFMSSO Is Nothing Then
    strClustername = "<xxxxxxxx>"
    Select Case ApplicationName
    Case "<xxxxxxxx>"
    strAppName = "<xxxxxxxx>"
    End Select
    strUsername = objHFMSSO.Connection.GetUsernameFromToken(CStr(Token), strClustername, strAppName)
    If Trim(strUsername & "") = "" Then
' Blank user name means the token is invalid.
    Set objHFMSSO = Nothing
Err.Raise 2655, strProcSig, "The Single Sign-on token is invalid."
    Else
' Return the user name from the authenticated token.
    AuthenticateSSO = strUsername
    End If
    End If
    Set objHFMSSO = Nothing
    End Function

I did saw a note about this error that suggested that I needed to re-register and deploy again FDM. Did, but still have the same issue. So the only thing that I don't control is the script and that is why I am asking if this script is still active and usable?

I have done all of that but I still get an error when trying to drill back. I am using the Admin ID which exist on both FDM and HFM but I am always getting the
    Server Error in '/' Application.
    The resource cannot be found.

So the only thing that I hadn't tried at the time was the SSO script. Which was what I did.

  • How do I get the Audit Intersection to appear in HFM Grids?

    Hi ,
I want to query data in HFM that was loaded via FDM (multiload). When I look at the grid, there is no Audit Intersection option.
How do I get this to work?
    Thanks

You can view these transactions only if you have set up your consolidation rules file to store these transactions. You must use the HS.CON function with the Nature parameter in the rules file. If the HS.CON function is not used or if the Nature parameter is not specified in the function, the system will not generate any audit transaction detail during the consolidation process.
