Audit log is empty in RWB CC Monitoring

Hi experts,
I am facing a problem with the message monitoring in the RWB. The Audit Log tab for the message details has nothing while the Message Content and Message data contain information about the message. I have set the parameter message.auditLogEnabled to false for the service com.sap.aii.af.svc in the NWA and restarted the instance but with no luck. Please help me out.
Regards.

Hi Prateek,
That parameter was 'true' by default.
As per this blog,
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs;jsessionid=(J2EE3417800)ID0321728450DB01035845556380020404End?blog=/pub/wlg/13456
I changed it to 'false'. The persistence of messages is 24 hours, which is fine.
I am now trying to look at the table XI_AF_MSG_AUDIT. It has about 800K records in it, in which about 80k have 'DLNG' as their status. Do you think this is causing any problem?
Regards.

  • Audit log missing in message in Message Monitor

    Hi,
    I am facing a weird problem.
    I found this in one of my scenario where we are using AS2 adapter and its an IDoc to file scenario.
    When I go to details of messages in message monitor in RWB,sometimes the Audit log is empty.
    It is happening randomly and not specific to any scenario as later on I found the same problem in some messages from other scenarios too.
    I have never faced this problem till now and it was working fine before.
    Can anyone please let me know what could be the reason for this as this is difficult for me in case I need to analyse a message and there is no audit log.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Missing Audit Log of Adapter Engine in Message Monitoring

    Hi!
    I've a problem with a fresh installed PI:
    The Adapter Engine doesn't log anything in the Message Monitoring. The Integration Engine logs everything properly, but all entries from the adapter engine are missing. It looks like no message was processed by the AE, but in fact AE is processing the messages properly, only logging fails.
    What can cause this behaviour?
    Best regards,
    Daniel

    Hi Agasthuri,
    yes, maybe something gone wrong in the post install, I will ask the guy which did the installation of the PI. Therefore I didn't have the logon data for performing a cache refresh, but in the log entries it seems that this is working properly.
    Hi Praveen,
    in Communication Channel Monitoring (In PI this is no longer found under Adapter Monitoring), I can see that the messages are delivered, but I can't see the Audit Log entries there.
    I checked the MDT, but there are also no messages displayed.
    End-to-End-Monitoring seems to be a good solution, but it seems that it is something configured wrong in this installation I will try to get the guy which cares for Basis to look after it.
    Best regards,
    Daniel

  • Adding entries in Audit Log Tab in Component Monitoring under Runtime Workb

    Hello Experts,
    I am trying to add my own audit log entries to the Audit Log Tab under Runtime Workbench -> Component Monitoring. I found this sap help link (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/3b/6fe540b1278631e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm) I am not sure if i am going in the right direction or not. But, when I tried to use the code in my User Defined Function in Message Mapping it gives me java error on PublicAPIAccess.
    Can anyone please let me know what am i doing wrong or if I am going in a totally wrong direction to achieve me goal.
    I am using PI 7.1 without EP1 and my example uses File adapter.
    Thanks!!

    Hi,
    if you are trying to add custom audit log for system monitoring in RWB in component monitoring, then i think it is not feasible........moreover for this thing, you can ask your basis guys to configure CCMS in your XI system to recieve alerts for your system.............
    if you are trying to add custom audit log msgs for your msg processing, then you should develop a custom J2EE adapter module and add your audit log entries in the process method of your adapter module..............

  • I got warning in audit log but I don't get any alerts...

    Hello,
    I have File Adapter sender with FCC.
    Because I was curious how FCC will behave when invalid file is used as a source file.
    I deleted much of the contents in the source file and the File adpater with FCC read it.
    In communication channel monitoring in RWB, I got this message in Audit log.
    "Empty document found - proceed without sending message".
    However, I cannot find this message anywhere else... Either in Message Monitoring (RWB) or SXMB_MONI (SAPGUI).
    Also, I don't get any alerts.
    How do I get alerts when file is not processed by file adapter?
    Also, how do I view alert view for this kind of error?
    Thank you.
    -Won

    Hi Won,
    I suppose that you have checked alredy that your alerts are setup correctly and rules are defined for it.
    First, you might set the log level of the file adapter to debug - you should see the issue in the NWA log.
    Should PI try to generate an alert but fails, you would also see it here and locate your problem.
    But, my opinon is that  your chances are not very good to get an alert in such case. SAP decided for which issue they issue an alert and for which not.
    When you have an empty file in the file adapter, it seems that SAP thiks that this is not to critical and therefore they don't issue an alert.
    The reason why you dont see it anywhere else is, that the adapter generates a message id only when there is something to make a message. Empty file means no message and you can not see it in the monitoring tools.
    best regards,
    Markus

  • Write to audit log from Axis Handler

    Hi guys,
    Using PI 7.11 SP 04 I have deployed the com.sap.aii.af.axisproviderlib.sda containing the libraries for Axis.
    This is deployed fine and I can write my Handlers without trouble.
    There is only 1 issue bugging me and that is the writing to the Adapter Audit Log. In SAP Note 1039369 FAQ XI Axis Adapter it is described how to write to the Audit log.
    I can successfully write to the Channel monitor. But when I try to write to the Audit log data is still just written to the Channel monitor and not the audit log.
    So what I have done is:
    StatusAgent sa = (StatusAgent) getOption(Constants.MONITOR_AGENT_KEY);
    Hashtable ht = getOptions();
    ht.put("audit", Boolean.TRUE);
    ht.put("pivoted", Boolean.TRUE);
    sa.reportEvent(Status.OK, "This should be written to audit log but is written to channel monitor", ht);
    sa.reportEvent(Status.ERROR, "This should also be written to audit log but is written to channel monitor", ht);
    If i print the content of my hashtable in the channel monitor I can see that my entries are put into the table just fine. The 'audit' entry just seems to be completely ignored.
    Anyone have and suggestions?
    Regards,
    Daniel

    Hi Guys,
    I need to know what JAR file i need to download for the following packages from SAP PI.
    import com.sap.aii.axis.monitor.Status;
    import com.sap.aii.axis.monitor.StatusAgent;
    import com.sap.aii.axis.utils.Constants;
    I am doing AXIS custom modules and i need to write to the PI 7.1 Audit Logs.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Trace level of RWB's Message Monitoring - Detail Message - Tab "Audit log"

    Hi,
    My flow is: File -> PI -> Transformed File with seeburger module. Everything is good except the trace level in RWB.
    Exactly, in our PI production, under RWB -> Message Monitoring, when I select a message (e.g PI -> Outside) and see its Detail, under tab "Audit Log", I have a log with only 2 pages (which corresponds to the sender part "File -> PI")... whereas in our PI pre-production, I have 4 pages for the exact same flow, on which I have also info of the receiver part "PI -> Outside"...
    My question is just: do you know which parameter is involved in this trace level of RWB's Message Monitoring Detail log ?
    regards.
    Mickael
    Note: in [Help SAP|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/fd/16e140a786702ae10000000a155106/frameset.htm], I see only this sentence "Audit Log: The audit log for the selected message is displayed as the default setting.".
    Edited by: Mickael Huchet on Oct 18, 2011 1:59 PM

    Hi Shabarish,
    Thanks that will help to localize my search.
    else by hazard, you don't know which parameter in this tree is for the "Audit Log"?
    coz I did a quick look in prod and pre-prod, but it seems the severity is the same (e.g "Info" for most of them) whereas the trace level of "Audit log" is different.

  • 500 Internal Server Error - Channel Monitoring Audit Log

    Hi Experts,
    We are facing an error in the 'Audit Log' of the communication channel monitoring of a File Sender Adapter.
    The channel uses a custom written Java Module which uses XSLT parser internally. The audit log displays the following error:
    500   Internal Server Error
    Error: "Application error occurred during the request processing."
    Troubleshooting Guide https://sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/jsts/home
    Details: "The WebApplicationException log ID is [4698F300D2C40C2000000000000009AA]."
    This error occurs both when the file is processed successfully or when in error. In case of a positive test case file, we can even see the message reaching Pipeline (SXMB_MONI). But only the audit log does not show the processed steps in the channel monitoring and displays the above error message.
    We have even established that the cause of the error is Java Module (First, we executed by removing our custom Java Module from the module steps and the audit log showed the steps correctly. But by putting the module back in the channel, the error resumed).
    Initially, the error was not coming and we were able to test this properly. But over the time the audit log error started. Now, we are not able to get rid of this even by restarting the channel or restarting the Java stack of the server.
    To me, it seems like a memory issue in the Java Stack.
    Any thoughts?
    Can we find out where to find the details of the WebApplicationException log ID displayed above?
    Thanks,
    Sudheer

    Hello,

  • Audit log in communication channel monitoring(MDT)

    Hi,
    I am doing a soap lookup in my message mapping for an interface.In order to monitor the request and response communication , I am unable to see the 'Audit Log' for the soap communication channel that was configured for the same.On clicking the message id for viewing the audit log,an error page is displayed as "Requested Page not found"
    Could you please help me as to why I am unable to see the Audit Log.
    Regards
    Janice

    Hi! Janice,
    Could you guide me as to where I can set the parameter for sync logging in AE
    You can got to
    1)  T Code: SXMB_ADM
    2)  Click Integration Engine Configuration
    3)  Again  click Configuration
    4)  Now Keep the parameter as TRACE_LEVEL   = 3 instead of 0 or 1 or 2.
    then again go to SXMB_MONI there you can view now SOAP Request and Response.
    I hope now it is resolved right

  • Audit Logs Empty in Communication Channel

    Hi,
    I am facing an issue in Channel Monitoring.I can see the messages are successful but nothing is displayed in Audit Logs.This is happening for both Receiver and Sender Channel.Earlier i could see the logs but it has started happening suddenly .
    I am working on PI 7.1.Kindly provide help .

    Hi Bhargav,
    Check this note: 1436261
    Reason and Prerequisites
    Since PI 7.1, the audit log handling was changed, such that only audit logs which describe an error are persisted to the database. Audit Logs of type info are only kept in an in-memory cache per clusternode, and they get evicted according to a LRU strategy (details are explained in note 1314974).
    There was an program error in the retrieval of audit logs from the memory caches of all cluster nodes, which led to the unavailability to monitoring of audit logs for messages which were processed on a different cluster node than the one on which the runtime workbench was executed.
    Solution
    To correct this problem, apply the patch matching your support package version as per the instructions in the NetWeaver Support Package Stack Guide.
    PI 7.10
    The archives and the Support Package Stack Guide can be found on the SAP Service Marketplace:
    http://service.sap.com/netweaver --> SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.1 - Release-Specific Inf --> Support Package Stacks Information -->
    7.1: SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.1
    EhP1: SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.1
    Please select the requested SP Stack.
