Audition 1.5 and Logitech LX7 wireless mouse

Tried above stated mouse,  Autoscroll will not engage when looking to edit waveforms. All settings for autoscroll engaged in the mouse properties, although the Logitech program does not have an application-specific setting to change for the desired program. Microsoft, on the other hand, does. With a wired nouse I did not have to select custom properties for autoscroll, though could if I wanted choose Audition as the application and set the mouse buttons just for that ap.
Logitech support has been (surprising?) worthless. Looks like I will return that mouse in favor of just sticking with Microsoft, but wanted to check if anyone else has had Logitech mouse issues. TIA

Well, I went ahead and tried the mouse without installing Logitech drivers, but I left the Intellimouse/Microsoft drivers in place. Yes, the mouse works, though being left handed, I prefer to mouse with that hand and reverse the common click/right-click buttons. The Intellimouse control panel won't reverse them as it doesn't recognize a Microsoft mouse. Yes, I could uninstall the Intellimouse program and revert to generic XP mouse drivers, but I am getting tired of beating my head against the wall trying to make a shoddy product work. It is part of the LX-310 mouse/keyboard combo; I asked on the Logitech forums if this even classified as an LX7 mouse (the software says that's what it is, but you only see "310" on the mouse itself). Perhaps the combo package is a dumbed down version? Their tech support via phone (worthless) tried to tell me that I could select the button on the mouse and choose "1a" to specify a specific program to associate with functions. There is no "1a" visible, period. I tried one more call to them and got a person who said everyone is swamped and for me to give him a number for them to call me back, or for me to call the next day. Oh, I gave him something, but it wasn't a number He was of no help when I stated I had already talked with support and the issue isn't resolved, I wanted it escalated. Ultimately the escaltation is the location where they can place my business, and the sun does not shine there. The product is only a few days out of the box and can be easily returned to place of purchase, which it will be. I look forward to reading them filing bankruptcy, but let's not get nasty
The wired/optical Microsoft mouse works exactly as needed, with autoscroll a no-brainer in Audition. By chance does anyone know if some of the newer Microsoft wireless/laser mice are more precise? Editing is, in fact an exact science; I was (and probably still am) a master with magnetic tape and a blade, I can prove I am the same in the digital medium as well.

  • 10.4.9 and Logitech Laser Wireless Mouse MX1000

on my work computer G5 Tower, 10.4.9 and my Logitech don't get along real well. Works good until I hit a series of keys or it just randomly freaks out and I get this weird movement on my screen where the mouse controls the screen. The dock (hiding off) and my finder menu bar are part of the movement where they disapear out of the screen.
I can work with it now but when this happens the only thing I have figured out is that I have to restart. So be careful if you have a Logitech wireless mouse. Logitech of course only has software up to 10.4.8.

I was having the same problem with mine until it just stopped working. Any time I moved the mouse, my Mac would make the error alert sound. I restarted the Mac, and then it wouldn't recognize my Logitech MX 1000 at all.
I finally found my wired USB mouse, and I uninstalled the driver from Logitech's site. They published an update as of January 2007. The installer hung during the first try as it was trying to locate a drive to install the software, but I quit the installer. After a second restart, the installer seemed to work fine.
After a restart, I still can't get the MX 1000 to respond. The mouse is just dead. Anyone else have any ideas?

  • Logitech USB wireless Mouse & Presenter

I have had a Logitech USB wireless Mouse & Presenter for few years, using it with my Powerbook G4. I recently upgraded to a Macbook and the presenter no longer works. A lot changed, hardware, OS X 10.5.5, and new version of Office.
It shows up under About This Mac -> USB as "USB wireless Mouse & Presenter".
However, Powerpoint doesn't respond to it. I am not sure what other software I could use to test it.
Anyone solved this problem already? Any ideas how I'd troubleshoot this?
I have the Logitech Control Center installed but it doesn't let me do anything with the presenter.
    any help would be appreciated.
    thanks.

Doesn't anyone else use this device?

  • TS3048 can't scroll up and down with wireless mouse, I have checked setting and everything looks good.  Any suggestions on what else I can check?

My wireless mouse has stopped scrolling up and down.  I have checked my settings and everything looks good.  Any suggestions on what else to check?

    Hi:
I wish my suggestion had gotten you further.
I do suggest you try to connect the keyboard again.  The request for a number is a step in it trying to pair.  If it gets by the number, it sometimes takes a little while to get connected.  If you are unable to get it connected and want a new one, I have been using Apple Bluetooth keyboards for years - and I like them. The one I have (the newest model) only uses two batteries and is very thin.
Speaking of batteries, if you are not already doing so, you might consider rechargeables.  I have a drawer full of them and use a 15 minute charger.  I go tired of buying batteries and rechargeables are environmentally friendly to boot. At the moment, I use 2450 mAh Energizers and a 15 minute Energizer charger (all purchased new on eBay at a very reasonable price).
I am far from an iPad "expert," although I have one.  If my suggestion below does not help, post your question in a separate thread in the iPad forum.
I had a terrible time syncing my iCal on my Mac with my iPad iCal (confusing - hopefully it makes sense).  I quit using iCloud as that added to the confusion. There is a facility to one-time sync items.  When you connect your computer to your iPad, iTunes opens.  The system begins a process (automatic backup and so on). After it finishes, you can click on "info."  At the bottom of the screen, there is an advanced section.  You can select any of the items and then force it to sync. The iCal information from your computer would be deposited on the iPad.
After all that, I do not use a Google calendar so the information may be worthless to you.
If you want to reset the iPad to factory settings, you can do that when it is connected to iTunes (one of the options).  Me being me, I try never to erase anything.

  • Logitech M305 wireless mouse suddenly not working

I've been using this mouse since I bought my MacBook Pro and suddenly my Mac doesn't even recognize it. I tried downloading the Logitech app that lets you configure the mouse too and it sees it, but still no response when I move or click the mouse. I just replaced the battery on the mouse and tried switching USB ports for the sensor....no dice. I'm wondering if the recent security update messed it up??

I was also inquiring about this problem.

  • Mini and Logitech V270 Bluetooth mouse

I just got my mac mini core solo and am having difficulty with my bluetooth mouse. I also have a MacBookPro that I was using with the V270 Logitech bluetooth mouse. With the MBP, it works flawlessly. It tracks well and has a pretty good range (20+ feet).
When I connect the V270 to the mac mini (after disconnecting MacBookPro/V270 Bluetooth), I get very limited connection. At about one foot away the mouse tracks poorly and 10 feet away it completely disconnects.
I brought it into the local Apple store for a Genius to look at it and had similar problems. It did poorly on a mini and it did much better on the macbookpro. Although not as good as it has been working at home. The genius did think that the problem was the V270 but he was unable to recommend a good multibutton mouse to work with the mini.
Has this problem happened to anyone else? Were you able to isolate the problem to the mouse or to the mini. If it's the mouse, can anyone recommend a good two button mouse with scroll wheel
    Thanks,
    Mike
    Mac mini solo

I exchanged my original V270 and got a brand new one to test out. When I brought it home, it reacted the exact same way. Works well on the macbookpro and works erratically on the intel mini.
I called up apple support again and they told me that the V270 may not be compatible with the mac mini and I should contact Logitech to verify its compatibility. I sent off an email to Logitech and am waiting for a reply.
One thing I noticed was that the mouse worked much better when it was used behind the mini. Its still bad, but better.
    I'll keep you posted.

Has this been happening only after upgrading to linux 3.19.2-1?
    Do you happen to see
    pci_pm_runtime_suspend(): hcd_pci_runtime_suspend+0x0/0x60 [usbcore] returns -16
or the like in the output of dmesg?
I ask because ever since my upgrade to 3.19.2-1 my previously happy Logitech USB wireless mouse has been intermittenly hanging for a few seconds. Looks like a power management issue and, sure enough, appears to happen only when running on battery.
(See also this post and this bug report, perhaps tangentially related.)

  • Logitech wireless Mouse, 24" iMac w/OS10.6.8. No work?

Bought a new (cheap) Logitech M325 wireless mouse. Would not work. Took it back to the store (Best Buy). It was demonstrated as working fine on the stores new display model iMac. However the sales person said I needed to activate it's use thru the Bluetooth function and showed me how. I got a brand new replacement mouse and  tried it. No luck. The Blue tooth would not "find" it. Online discussion with Logitech says I got bad advice in that the Bluetooth has nothing to do with it. Just plug it in and it should work. I tried all the troubleshooting ideas they had, such as new batterries and trying different USB ports, keeping the mouse close etc. Logitech says send it back to them and they will give me a new one. Already tried two new out of the box ones.  I am suspecting the claim that it works with OS10.6 may be unwarrented. Anyone got a clue as to what could be wrong?

I found this Logitech model of their website.
It says that ot works with OS X 10.5 and greater.
It is the old fashioned wireless Infared style model of wireless mice, not Bluetooth.
The Infared receiver plugs into a available USB port.
You need to plug the receiver into one of the main powered USB ports on the back of the iMac.
You can't plug the receiver into one of the keyboard USB ports as there won't be enough power to power the receiver.
Did you install the latest Logitech Control Center preferences software?
That may make a difference as to whether it works or not.

  • Wireless mouse and Keyboard Issue after closing the lid - external display

Can anyone give any insight. Recent purchase of a new Late 2008 15" MBP. I have connected it to an external 24" Apple monitor on my desk and use a wireless mouse and wireless keyboard on my desk top. I have configured the laptop to wake on bluetooth devices. So here is the problem: The laptop when the lid is up recognizes the bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I close the lid/screen. Laptop powers down... the after several seconds I move the mouse and the laptop comes alive... But after that there are no bluetooth devices attached. When I use the mouse, I get "connection lost" with a white figure of the mighty mouse on the screen. The wireless keyboard is not there and I have to open the lid and manually find the mouse and reconnect. The keyboard seems to work however....
    Apple..... any thoughts..... anyone?????

Hi Stentdoc; I'm thinking, 'connection lost ~= sorta low AA batteries in the Mighty Mouse? (I would put in fresh AA batteries in the mouse and keyboard, to eliminate as an issue that the 'connection lost' is due to low batt voltage; that this is causing the failure to wake.) ... then, in System Preferences > Hardware > Energy Saver, settings for Power Adapter > Sleep, set to "never" for "Put the computer to sleep when it is inactive for ..." to eliminate that as a conflict when trying to wake with bluetooth from sleep induced by closing the lid ...
Check your current "Sleep" setup (I left my MBP as "3")
    go to Utilities > Terminal
After you launch Terminal, the first step is to determine which sleep mode your Mac is currently using. You can both view and change the sleep mode using the Unix program pmset. To see your current settings, type (or, copy and paste)
    pmset -g | grep hibernatemode
    press 'enter'
You should see something like this:
    $ pmset -g | grep hibernatemode
    hibernatemode 3
So your machine is using mode 3 ... thanks to the documentation for the handy Deep Sleep Dashboard widget, which puts your machine immediately into hibernation mode (so you don’t have to yank all the power sources to invoke it):
    * 0 - Old style sleep mode, with RAM powered on while sleeping, safe sleep disabled, and super-fast wake.
    * 1 - Hibernation mode, with RAM contents written to disk, system totally shut down while “sleeping,” and slower wake up, due to reading the contents of RAM off the hard drive.
    * 3 - The default mode on machines introduced since about fall 2005. RAM is powered on while sleeping, but RAM contents are also written to disk before sleeping. In the event of total power loss, the system enters hibernation mode automatically.
also, I enabled this (to change back, input "lidwake 1":
    go to Utilities > Terminal
type in sudo pmset lidwake 0 then "enter"
it will ask for your password. type it in, that's it!
Now, when your computer is sleeping with the lid closed, when you open the lid nothing happens until you press any key ... nice: keeps it off when accidentally opened, like in a backpack?
WARNING: Improper use of the sudo command could lead to data loss
or the deletion of important system files. Please double-check your
typing when using sudo. Type "man sudo" for more information.
To proceed, enter your password, or type Ctrl-C to abort.

  • Why is my new wireless mouse jerky on my macbook pro?

I've been using a cheap Dynex wireless mouse (as well as a wired mouse when I'm at work) on this MacBook for a while with no problems whatsoever. The Dynex's buttons are starting to malfunciton, so I went to buy a new mouse....
1st try -- I got some cheap Microsoft mouse from Best Buy. The movement was very erratic and jerky. I downloaded and installed the mouse software and adjusted settings there, to no avail.
2nd try -- I bought a slightly more expensive Logitech M510 wireless mouse. It felt slightly different, but the result was essentially the same. The movement is jerky -- erratic. Sometimes, the mouse jumps inches across the screen instead of moving in a slow steady manner like it's supposed to. It appears to worsen when I boot up and play a game on the computer.
Given the fact that the same problem occurred with two different new mice, but not with the old worn-out one, I must assume that  there is some incompatability between MacBook Pros and newer models of wireless mice. I can't seem to find any consistent "known issue" pages on this. Anyone know what I should do now? Any ideas?

The wireless mice you're buying.... are they 2.4GHz wireless ones (the ones that come with their own micro-dongle) or Bluetooth?  If they're the 2.4GHz wireless ones, go buy yourself a good bluetooth one.  Your Mac has bluetooth in it and can connect to one of these mice without the need to use the dongle that comes with them.  I've seen a quite a bit of issues (jerky movement due to low battery too far away or other movement problems) with the non-bluetooth wireless ones.
Also, be aware that if the mice you're using are laser based, the movement will be laggy and jerky if they're not used on the proper surface.  Only the more expensive ones have better laser systems in them that can be used on multiple surfaces, but still not all.

I just got a Logitech mini wireless mouse for my mother's clamshell iBook, after a few frustrating minutes I realized that the usb plug was way too big. I'm going to have to take it back to the store tomorrow. So do any of you know of a good usb wireless plug that actually fits?

Welcome to the forum. I solved similiar problem with a USB flash memory from Kingston that didn't fit; due to molded case design of iBook, with a 3" USB cable. This is cheap, easy to carry, and works in a pinch when required for any other USB device you may need to adapt. See for example: http://www.pccables.com/cgi-bin/orders6.cgi?action=Showitem&id=ID138371&partno=7 0615&search=USB&rsite=g.usb2&rcode=
If Mom does not travel with the iBook a Hub as above would also work.
If you shop around you can find another Mouse with a more standard connector that will fit directly. I use a three button one from Macally that fits fine ( no adaptor) and requires no software to run in OS 10.

  • Z97 Gaming 7 MB, Wireless mouse not charging when plugged in.

Hi all. I recently upgraded my MB from an Asus Max hero VI to a Z97 Gaming 7.
I've been using a logitech G700 wireless mouse. Now before the MB upgrade, I could plug the mouse into it's cable, switch off my PC and the next day it'll be fully charged, ready to unplug and use for an extended period. Now after the MB upgrade to the gaming 7, I plug the mouse into the cable at the end of the day but this time the next morning I can't unplug and use the mouse without the cable because it has no battery power. So I'm wondering if there is a feature or option on the MB that I can switch so the mouse charges overnight when I plug it in and the PC is off?
    Please help,
    Damian

    Hi,
As far as I know, there's a USB connector (i'm not sure it's JUSB1 or 2...) on your MB, normally it's red, and can support charging when the PC is off. So, first make sure your front USB panel is on JUSB connector, then you can charge your mouse using these ports. Or other USB ports (like back panel ones) can only charge when the PC is on.
    Hope this could help.
