Audition 3.0 installation stymied by missing version 1 CD

Just built a new PC with Win 7 64-bit, and am in the process of reinstalling core software.  Ran into a snag installing Audition 3.0 as I have somehow misplaced the CD for v. 1, and I need that previous version serial number for the v. 3 install, since the latter is an upgrade version.  I have the receipt/invoice for v. 1, but there isn't a serial number on it, just an order number--this was the retail box version ordered from the Adobe store; I still have the manual for v. 1 for some reason.  (I have the serial number for v. 3 on its invoice, fortunately.)
To make things more tangled, the e-mail I used for registration/purchase of v. 1 has been defunct for about 11 years, so I'm unable to access any account information at Adobe under that e-mail.  Likewise with the e-mail used for registration/purchase of v. 3--it was with the account under Verizon before Frontier took over their sector here in Washington State.  So none of my previous Adobe account info can be accessed at this time, at least by myself.
So, unless there's a means to access the serial number for my purchase of v. 1, or an alternate but equally viable serial number to satisfy the installation routine, I think I'm out of luck for reinstalling Audition 3.   Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
TIA --

Even if you manage to install AA3 you will still be stymied by the fact that Adobe have had problems with the activation server for AA3. So you can no longer activate it online. However they have provided a link to version which doesn't need activation for all previous owners which comes with it's own serial number.

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Adobe reader installation file is missing? (need an awser ASAP)

    Hi i work for a computer store and a coustmer called with a problem about his adobe reader. He said when he tries to open Adobe Reader it would say that the installation file was missing. So i figured it would be an easy fix right? just reinstall it and it would be fixed. Well that is not the problem in this case, after he reinstalled it the same error would still pop up and i am not sure if it is a bad sector on the HDD or if it something wrong with the installation of the program or what the problem is and how i could help him fix it. So i would like some help with this, and i need an anwser ASAP.
    -Thank you

    Assuming that you want the English version for Windows, you can download it here http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.2/enu/AdbeRdr920_en_US.exe
    For other versions drill down from this FTP site ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/

    I'm trying to install 10gr2 on centos 6.3 x86_64 bit system.If this is not a typo, you should be aware that 10gR2 is not certified to run on RHEL/OL/CentOS 6. You should use CentOS 5 and follow the pre-requisites for the installer. The first version of database certified to run on RHEL/OL/C6 is 11gR2 11.2.0.3.
    Regardless of whether you actually have the pre-reqs installed properly, any version prior to 11.2.0.3 will probably always fail the pre-req check on 6.

  • Missing version field in response...( Tomcat, JBuilder )

    Hello,
    (Sorry for a long message, but I saw several times messages with the only
    response like "write more details...")
    I'm trying to execute a simple Web Start application using version-based download.
    I'm constantly receiving the following error:
    Missing version field in response from server when accessing resource:
    (http://localhost:8083/checkboxcontrol/CheckBoxControl.jar, 1.1)
    Is it possible that there is a bug somewhere within Web Start ?
    The download is working in a basic version - the problem starts to occur when
    I'm changing JNLP to:
    <jar href="CheckBoxControl.jar" version="1.1"/>
    Is there anybody that can help me ?

    I put my problems down to my application server (Orion) as other people seem to have this working. The deployment in Orion keeps the original timestamps of the jars, so I explicitly set the timestamps in my build so that the unchanged jars do not have to be downloaded all the time. This is not really a good solution, so maybe someone else can give further advice.

  • Audition CS6: Why no more 64 bit version of Audition?

    Audition CS6: Why no more 64 bit version of Audition?  There used to be 64 bit Audition in CS5.5.

    The biggest hurdle is plug-ins. If they could figure out a reliable way to wrap 32-bit plug-ins for 64-bit platforms, they'd probably make the transition more quickly, but a lot of the plug-in developers have been slow to make the jump. I imagine Audition will be 32-bit for at least one more release.

  • Error during installation:"Invalid Eclipse platform version" (have 3.0RC3)

    I saw a new version of bpel designer on otn for download. As I hoped that it would solve my previous problem ('db schema not found') I downloaded and tried to install it.
    Unfortunately I get an error during installation: "Invalid Eclipse platform version". I know that at least version 3 has to be installed. The .eclipseproduct file tells me that it is version 3.0.0. I have downloaded and installed the Eclipse SDK 3.0RC3 version a couple days ago. So it looks like that the version is OK. But I can't get around this error message.
    Any ideas?

    I've downloaded the GA version of Eclipse and it works now.
    During the installations I saw some minor things that I'll share with you:
    - path to the bpel server can be left empty, however there is a '/' already. So you have to chose a directory or delete it before you can go further otherwise an error appears. Maybe it is easier to not have the '/'.
    - I wanted to have the designer and PM in the same directory. But choosing the same dir led to a warning for overwriting the dir. I didn't dare thus now I have 2 dir's. ( 1 for designer and 1 for PM).
    -After installation I don't have entries in 'Start''Programs''oracle' to start the PM. This was also the case with the previous version. I start PM via the 'bat'-files under the PM/bin dir.
    - starting the batch file: startOraBpel.bat starts with an error; "The system cannot find the file C:\WINNT\system32\cmd.exe /e:4096."
    - Last but not least: I hoped that this would solve my re-install problem 'cannot lookup db schema version' but unfortunately that's not the case.

  • Queries related to Redwood Installation / Upgrade to Full version

    Hi All,
    We Need some help.
    We have couple of question related to redwood installation, kindly help us.
    We have SAP Central Process for Scheduling (Redwood 6.0.2.7) basic version installed on our Unix server.
    We are now planning to migrate to the SAP CPS full version and have already procured the license. SAP added the installables at the marketplace under - Installation and upgrades - My Application components - SAP Partner products - SAP CPS Scheduler (Full) after the procurement. We have downloaded the installables now.
    My questions are:
    1. How do we now upgrade the Redwood OEM version to full version? Because, we had mailed to SAP with the OEM license to change it to full version, but then SAP replied to us asking us to send them the full version license. How do I get that? Does this file (register.txt) gets created once we start the installation of Redwood full version? Because we had assumed that by buying the full version license, we would just need to send the OEM license and it would be changed to a full version, but its not so. How do we go about from here. Do we do a new installation and uninstall the basic version?
    2. Also, if we are to do a new installation, how do we get the register.txt file which we need to send to SAP for key generation?
    We are very new to Redwood. Any pointers would be highly appreciated.
    Awaiting your response.
    Thanks in advance.
    Warm Regards

    Regards,

    Thanks for including all your code. I've ran into version download problems before also. In the jar reference don't include the actual __V.jar file name, just include all pre __V.jar. <jar href="AddLogic_v1.0.jar"/> would become <jar href="AddLogic.jar"/>. Now I haven't done it with the version.xml before I just did it with making file named *__V.jar.
    I just re-read all that you did, if you title your files with the __V.jar notation you don't need a version.xml file.
    <jar href="SimpleGUI_v1.0.jar" version="1.0"/>
    Should become
    <jar href="SimpleGUI.jar" version="1.0"/>
    And you would have SimpleGUI_v1.0.jar on your server. Also might need it to be a capital "V" not sure.

  • "Missing version string for product" error when trying to get updates on Lion Server

    I am not getting the latest updates from Apple on my 10.7.4 server.  When I attempt to do so the log has a bunch of errors stating "Missing version string for product".  I've tried deleting and recreating the swupd files but I am still having the same issue.  Is there any fixes to this problem I am missing? Thanks in advance!

    ok, I went back and made a new database but changed the character set / collation... aside from that change, everything is the same, but I get an error saying that the datasource could not be found when I can see all the tables in intermedia's phpmyadmin page... would changing the character set / collation cause this error?

  • Version Based Downloading w/JBoss Missing Version Field....

    Here we go again, version based downloading difficulties.
    I cannot get version based downloading to work using the version.xml file or using file based versioning.
    My environment is
    JBoss 4.0.3 SP1 (whatever version of tomcat container this contains)
    JRE 1.5.0_06
    I have a .ear file which contains a .war file which contains the appropriate folder format and loose application jars, html, jnlp, etc., as described in the "Packaging JNLP Applications in a Web Archive" document.

    JnlpDownloadServlet(4): lastModified: 1133794820000 Mon Dec 05 10:00:20 EST 2005If I remove the version= tag from the main jnlp file, everything loads fine, but there is no versioning. I have also tried to remove the version.xml file from the package and change my jar files to use file based versioning, but that didn't work either. I rebuilt my jar files with the __V1.0 extension and the complaint was that it couldn't load the resource totalvu.jar. Well, ya, it is now named totalvu__V1.0.jar! Again, versioning is being ignored. The double underscore and V was not recognized as anything special.
    The servlet is running long enough to spit out a log file, no errors. It looks like it succesfully processed the jnlp files, but there is no indication of any versioning.
    Doe the jnlp.jar and jardiff.jar files need to be included in the lib folder in the .war file? I am only including the jnlp-servlet.jar. They were not referenced in the example war file in the documentation, but I have seen them referenced in older doc for other app servers. I did try including them, but it made no difference of course. Guess this question is just a housekeeping question.
    Does anyone have any insight on this problem?
    I am at the point where I think I would like to get the source and debug through it to see what is going on, but that should be unecessary.

    Thanks. I had the same problem.
    As danrak suggests, just add this to your web.xml file to parse .jar and/or .zip file extensions:
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>JnlpDownloadServlet</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>*.zip</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>JnlpDownloadServlet</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>*.jar</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>

    Has anybody an idea what might cause this error?

    We've gotten that error when the servlet runs out of memory. The out of memory error happens when it is building the jardiff file, which can require a lot of memory to do. The servlet caches any jardiffs that it builds, so most users won't see the problem because they are requesting prebuilt jardiffs.
    We've found that the servlet runs best with 256mb of max heap. But I'd imagine we are more heavy weight users than most.
    I've done some stress testing on the 1.5 servlet and did not find any real memory leaks.
    Based on the open source version of the servlet (which I believe is pretty much the same as the one distributed with java 1.5).
    It is keeping objects in memory to track which jardiffs it has built and to track any accessed resource (jar or jnlp). If your server has enough different jars and jnlps then you need to give it enough memory to keep all these small objects in memory.
    If you want be 100% sure you've given it enough memory, then you can write a script which does a HEAD request on every possible jar and jnlp inside of the servlet. That should max out its memory usage.

  • JWS1.2 & Missing version field in response

    I must say that the guys with JWS1.2 have done well in getting around the proxy issues with the previous versions. However, its disappointing to see this error still occuring when you perform a version based download which is one of the most useful pieces of functionality in JWS (see quote below) . So when a cleint has proxy issues its goodbye 'Bad MIME type error' and hello 'Missing version field in response from server when accessing resource'. Is this really progress? Surely most people use version based downloads?
    Will this be fixed for 1.4.1 final and / or does anybody know of a workaround? I've included a previous quote, our jnlp, errors and stack dump below.
    Many thanks
    Ian
    Quote from dietz Jul9, 2002
    "The problem is probably that your proxy server is not passing on the correct mime type. Some proxy servers (I'm sorry I don't remember which ones) will only pass on mime types that they are aware of, and will substitute text/html, for others. This should be no problem when using Java Web Start 1.2, since it itself does not require that jnlp files download come with the proper mime type. You may still have a problem using these proxy servers if you are running a servlet implementing the jardiff (incremental update) protocol, since Java Web Start may use the mime type to differenciate between jar files (application/x-java-archive) and jardiff files (application/x-java-archive-diff) "

    Version based download protocol is not available with vanila web server.
    You need to either run some form of script, jsp, or a servlet such as the JNLPDownloadServlet included in the developers pack, to return the requested version, and with the version information.
    If you are currently running the servlet you may still be having problem with your proxy having security settings that prohibit sending the additional version information on to the client, although I have never heard of this before.
