Audition adds noise after processing

Hello,
I've got a big issue here.
Adobe Audition CS6 (Version 5.0.2 Build 5), OSX 10.8.4
I've got a file with speech (mono, 48 kHz, 16t bit), starting and ending with digital silence.
Let's say I want to normalize it.
Done. Now I'm saving (cmd+s). And re-opening that file.
What is happening here? Where did that noise come from? I'm not adding any dither nor any other processing (just normalizing). Just a simple normalize + save operation.
The worst is that after processing and saving there's no noise indication, you got to re-open the file.
Can somebody reproduce that? Or is it a feature that I can turn OFF?

It's saving it as 16bit/48k.
I'm now pretty sure now that this is an default feature turned on by Audition.
In 3.0 windows version you had an option in the Data section called 'Dither Transform Results' which was working on 16 bit files. While it is turned off the dither isn't generated after saving.

Noise Reduction process in Audition

I have a talking head video with a lot of background noise.
I first selected both audio and video tracks and right-clicked to Unlink them.
Then I selected the audio track and right-clicked to Edit in Auditon.
In Audition > Effects menu > Noise Reduction > Noise Reduction process, I hit the Capture Noise Print button, but an error message comes up stating my clip is too short.
When I follow the instructions and change the FFT to the smallest size option (512), it still doesn't work. I have tried strining a few short background noise clips together, but it doesn't work.
Questions:
1) How long does a backgroung noise clip have to be?
2) What does FFT stand for, and why are the number options in that dropdown menu as they are?
3) How can I get this to work?

The step that appears to be missing here is that you haven't highlighted the section that you want to capture the noise print from - if you select nothing, then yes, your selection is too short!

1) You can get away with as little as a quarter of a second, depending on the FFT size. If you use a large FFT size, the analysis window won't be large enough.
2) FFT stands for Fast Fourier Transform. In this context, the numbers relate (in simple terms) to an analysis window. Smaller numbers generally make a better job of low frequency noise reduction, and are quicker to apply, but larger numbers generally do a better job overall, if you have a large enough noise sample and don't mind waiting longer for the results. This isn't a precise science; you often have to experiment a lot to get a good result, and it's very easy to overdo it. In CS6 there are alternatives as well - you might try the automatic adaptive NR process successfully on some material, but generally the full-blown version works better.
The other thing that a lot of people do, which also yields good results, is to do two NR passes, one with a high FFT and one with a low FFT, but not trying to reduce the noise too much on either one. The overall effect is a similar level of NR, but often with less artefacts.

Noise reduction (process) on HD video's audio with shotgun microphone (hissing)

okay so i normally master live sets on the condenser microphone in my teams studio but it is not available to the public so i've started doing freestyles, when i use the noise reduction (process) on the audio of my HD videos to remove background noise which my camera is intaking for some reason unknown (on both shotgun and camera) this is without any corrections on, everything on manual etc so nothing to cause the distorted hissing sound.
I stand with the speakers behind my as my shotgun doesn't pick up much from behind so the beat is very quiet, i then have the mc's in front of me performing and i later on add on a 320kps version of the beat in audition and add that audio onto the video.
I started with the FFT size: 4096
And then switched over to try again on FFT size 512 which both fully removed the beat and hissing from the whole audio (what i was aiming for) but both still messed with my video's audio by making their voices sound weird and echoy.
The hissing problem i'm encountering is common although it randomly started a week or so ago, my camera is the Canon 600D
i've looked up on how to resolve the issue but none of the fixes have worked for me
Putting everything on manual didn't work
Turning auto corrections off didn't work
Turning the volume down a lot did work but did not pick up sound levels or quality anywhere near the level i need
I phoned up canon customer services and they told me to send me camera off to the other side of the UK since i have warranty but i need this camera daily and can't afford to go however long they plan to take to return my camera in working order.
If anyone has any advice for me it would be much appreciated, thank you.

When you get to Process > Noise Reduction > Reduce Noise, usually a preset isn't the answer, but some manual fiddling.
Here's the way I approach this:
1. When I set the noise print, I play/loop the clip and note the level of the noise in your meters. When I get to the threshold in the noise reduction window, that level will be the extreme highest threshold I use, only going lower from there.
2. When it comes to the reduction, I check the Noise only box while I'm setting it, and boost the reduction until I'm getting noise, but not too much signal I want to preserve. If I hear voice in there, I'm doing too much. And I rarely end up going beyond 60%.
3. Uncheck the noise only box, and listen to the signal with noise reduced to fine tune further.
Remember this is noise reduction, not noise elimination. And, the STP tool is pretty good for what it is, but it's not anywhere near the best out there.

I cant cant use mail merge feature in Winword in conjunction with Abobe Acrobat 10 (pdfmaker add-in) after the recent Office April Windows and Office Updates.

As the event log indicated, this is due to acrobat pdfmaker office com addin doesn't work well with Microsoft Word.
I would suggest you go ahead and try to upgrade your Adobe product to the latest version and see if issue persists.
Or contact the support of Adobe and see if there is a known compatibility issue or not.

Terminating Add-on Windows Process

Hi,
I have developed an add-on which loads and works just fine, however when I stop the Add-on in SAP and/or shut down SAP B1, the Add-on exe process remains running in task-manager.
How do I ensure that the process terminates when I stop it or shutdown SAP ?

Trigger ALEAUD01 immediately after processing MATMAS05

I need your valuable inputs in resolving the issue. I have a requirement where I need to send confirmation back immediately using idoc type ALEAUD01 after processing material master using MATMAS05. I would like to know the configuration required for the same. I have already done the configuration required to create the material but stuck in sending confirmation back to 3rd party system. I have given the scenario below. It should happen in real time.
3rd Party System -> PI -> ECC : To create material Master in ECC

My scenario is different than what is specified in the article. In my case I am not using distribution model to create the material master. Since it is an inbound scenario I have done the following settings,
1. Extend MATMAS05 Idoc Type
2. Create Custom Message type
3. Assign message type to IDOC type
4. Port Defination
5. Process code settings
6. Partner profile settings
7. Assign FM to Message type and IDOC type
This is working fine as I am able to create the material master. Now the requirement is once the material is created I need send an outbound idoc as a confirmation for the same using ALEAUD001 idoc type. I would like to know is there any way of doing the same without using workflow events. I know through workflow we can trigger it also I know we can run the report RBDSTATE which is used to send the audit idoc periodically.
But my requirement is real time whenever material master inbound idoc processing is over ale audit idoc has to be triggered.

Can not view audit trail of BPMN Process instance in Enterprise Manager

I can not view the audit trail of BPMN Process instance in Enterprise Manager. When I try to click on BPMN process link inside process instance flow trace a NoClassDefFoundError error occurs. How can I fix this?

Till you get exact answer, try indirect approach. I did view page source and could not find the details in the source code. Then I clicked on image to show in new browser and thats when I got this link: You can dig into this imageRenderer.jsp file that can be found in one of the WAR files shown below. Look into EARs also that my have WARs with this jsp. Mostly there should be some sort of Servlet also to display the audit trail. I just checked from bpm/workspace Process Tracking Tab. I did not looked from EM Console tracking tabs though.
beaHome\Oracle_SOA1\soa\applications\OracleBPMWorkspace.ear has a OracleBPMWorkspace.war file. See if this direction helps

You can put a tab inside a table cell using Option+Tab
Then just set the right-aligned tab stop and the right edge of the table cell and add the leader.

File Adapter: Run OS command unix after processing message

Hi,
in file adapter configuaration, after processing message, I've configured the channel that it has to call an unix script.
The sintax in configuration is:
sh /XS0/usr/sap/XS0/DVEBMGS01/work/TEST_FILE_XI/OUT/rename_lib_contabili.sh <variable>.
I tried also without the entire path and without the sh command at start of it.
We have a XI 3.0 sp20.
I don't understand, What other I have to do.

Could'nt delete file after processing sender file in windows environment ?

Hi,
I have problem with sender file adapter in windows 2003 server, because the file adapter cannot delete the file after processing, seems like permission problem. but then i have set full controll access to the pi7adm (sap instance admin). but the problem still persist.
Please advise, me.

Of course i set delete option in my CC sender, but the fail adapter couldn delete fail without any reason ?
This is the error message from RWB Could not delete file 'K:\WORKDIR\FTP\data\data1.fer1' after processing.
like i mention before i have set full access to sap admin user to the directory. but the error still persist.
any idea.

Could not archieve file after processing error in Rwb of sender adapter

Till today afternoon it is running fine.
The rpocess here is we will keep the files in FTP site. and pi polls and places the files in NFS Mount server AL11(FILE/STAGING).
Now these file will be process from FILE/STAGING to FILE/PROCESS in al11 .
Then proxy get trigerred and sends the data to sap where workflow will be trigerred.
now the issues file is getting polled from ftp and placed in file/staging folder perfectly.
Then the file needs to be moved to file/process folder using file adapter. here the issue is coming

2. Check the path provided for process.
3. Ensure both the staging and the process paths are different.

I am not sure of any standard program .... but you can write your own... should be a small one..
you can check if the table RSDMDENQ has entry for your InfoObject... if yes, then its locked.. if not.. its not locked

Could not archive file "sample.txt" after processing
Note: The folder has full rights of read/write.
Can some one please help me to resolve this issue.

It was working until yesterday .I checked with BASIS team aswell for the folder access , Everything is OK .
Is there any other way i can check to resolve this?

After processing sender file is not deleting

I have configured the File-JDBC-File sync mode. the scenario is working fine upto last 2 days. but the problem is once the file picks and process its not deleting or archiving the file. but scenaio is working fine when i check in sxmb_moni but the error in sender file adaptor.
Could not delete file 'abc.dat' after processing: java.net.SocketException: Broken pipe.
in FTP server i have delete rights the other test scenario are working fine with out any error.
Please help me to reslove this issue.

yes the processing mode is delete for sender communication chennal.
I have created the other test scenario to test the processing mode is delete its working for other communication chennal. and my scenario also worked upto last 2 days. i have done delta cache and also created the new communication chennal even no luck.

Failed to delete file after processing FTP

Failed to delete file after processing. The FTP server returned the following error message: 'com.sap.ai i.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 550 Unexpected reply code *.txt: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. '. For details, contact your FTP server vendor.
I got this error many times for the same interface. Not sure what is the reason for this.
Searched on internet go comments that this is because of FTP version!
Please help

It is the "Msecs to Wait Before Modification Check" in the Sender Adapter that ensures this. It works like this: PI starts processing, finds a file, then waits the number of miliseconds specified and checks the file again to see if it has changed over the waiting period. If so, then it waits again to make sure the file is written completely. Only if no changes took place over the waiting period, it starts processing the file.
And the fact that your file was successfully processed at retry only confirms that it might have been still written to by the sender system. You can try comparing file's creation timestamp (in OS level) with its processing start time in PI - this could prove me right.
