Audition crashes on save?

Hi all, I just installed Audition 3.0 in my new HP tx2117. (AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-62 2.10GHz, 3.0GB RAM, 32-bit Vista Home Premium)
And after following all the Vista tweaks I can find, Audition still crashes everytime I try to rename a save file from "Untitled." The moment I click in the box and press any key the entire program just closes, no message from Vista, no error report, just *poof* gone. I can restart and recover most of my work, but it's rather frustrating.
I have checked for any driver updates and I am running SP1 of Vista.
The real wierd part to me is that Photoshop CS3 is working like a charm and doesn't give me any kind of trouble.
Any suggestions?

Hi Kent,
This issue has come up from time to time and we've traced it to a third-party application that is often installed and running on pre-configured computers. SupportSoft makes a system monitoring application that Dell, HP, Comcast, and others install, but which can interfere with applications. Since Audition uses the OS file dialog API, whereas Photoshop and the other design applications use a native dialog, this support application can often cause us to crash.
It's simple to disable, which should prevent Audition and other applications from crashing. Click the START button (or whatever it's called in Vista) and type MSCONFIG and press ENTER. When the "System Configuration" application launches, click the Services and Startup tabs and uncheck any item that reads SUPPORTSOFT or SUPPORTCMD. Click OK and restart and see if that doesn't fix the Audition issue.
If not, or if you're unable to locate those particular applications, please let me know and we can dig into this deeper.
