Audition CS6 gives a MME Device Internal Error on startup
Can anyone help me with the following problem?
I have a system running WIndows 7 with a Xonar DX2 sound card that has worked fine since installation (6 months ago), now when I start CS6 I get the 'MME device internal error' message.
This is a MME sound card and is using its latest drivers (7.12.8.1794).
The Audio Hardware settings are:
Device Class: MME
Default Input: Line In (ASUS Xonar DX2 Audio Device)
Default Output: Speakers (ASUS Xonar DX2 Audio Device)
Master Clock: Speakers (ASUS Xonar DX2 Audio Device)
Latency: 200ms
Sample Rate: 44100Hz
'Use machine-specific device defaults' is enabled

AV - Top Five Audit Sources by Number of Alerts - INTERNAL ERROR
Hi again!
We have one problem with audit vault console while connecting with auditor role.
There's one strange problem that occurs intermitently when clicking on "Top Five Audit Sources by Number of Alerts " graph on audit vault home page.
Sometimes it works perfectly and maybe next time it produces an internal error. It does not follow any logic. Maybe it works 1,2,3,... times and next one it doesn't and the links carriess you to an empty page with "INTERNAL ERROR" message.
It is something related with the url.
When you place the mouse coursor on the graph you can see the url at the bottom of internet explorer/firefox.
It's something like this: (it works)
http://<av hostname>:5707/av/console/database/avt/:::::P2_REPORT_TYPE,P2_DATE_TYPE,P2_SOURCE:WARNING_ALERT,DAY,<source name>
then you continue working come back to home page and place the cursor again on it. Then sometimes you see the same url(all it's going to work) or the next one:
http://<av hostname>:5700/av/console/database/avt/:::::P2_REPORT_TYPE,P2_DATE_TYPE,P2_SOURCE:WARNING_ALERT,DAY,<source name>
As you can see port number has changed misteriously... and it does not work.
The strange thing is that after the error i try to open a new auditor session with another explorer and it some times it works!!! until same thing happens.
Has anyone seen anything like this????? I don't know if it something about Audit Vault configuration, a bug or an internet explorer configuration issue.
i've tried different languages with my explorers and it continues happening ...
All the rest of the parts of the application work perfectly
Thanks!Whenever posting here ALWAYS include full version number.
Whenever posting an error post the full and complete error message (not your interpretation of it). "INTERNAL ERROR" in and of itself is meaningless.
I would suggest that you open an SR at metalink. -
Audition CS6 requires a Serial number entry at every startup
Audition CS6 requires a serial number entry everytime I start the program. How do I fix this.? It is very annoying and If I get locked out of the program before I fix the dance recital music Its not going to go well for me here.
You don't say whether you are on Windows or not, but if so you might try running the program once as an Administrator. Once the serial has been accepted, then try running as a regular user.

Fireworks internal error at startup
I just upgraded to a new Mac with OSX 10.8 and now Fireworks will not startup. I get the message "Fireworks can not run. An Internal error occurred."
I really love Fireworks for animation and logo design. Can anyone help me figure out a fix for this? I've read some places it's a flash issue, but I'm not sure.
Does anyone know of a fix?Sorry, should have searched more into this forum before
posting... after more searching I found advice to use 'Font Nuke'.
Font Nuke
DOWNLOAD HERE
Have 'Nuked' those font caches, and all seems to be fine
again.
Hope this thread helps someone else in future who actually
does a proper search :)
Thanks and sorry :) -
I have a MacBookPro 9,1 (mid-2012, non-retina) running OS X 10.8.2. Here is what I have done to my system:
Installed Windows 7 x64 Pro to a boot camp partition; installed all windows updates.
Using WinClone, save an image of this boot camp partition.
Removed optical drive and HDD.
Installed HDD in place of optical drive.
Installed SSD in place of HDD.
Booted to recovery partition, installed OS X on a flash drive.
Booted to flash drive, created fusion drive using [MacWorld's instructions](http://www.macworld.com/article/2014011/how-to-make-your-own-fusion-drive.html)
Booted to recovery partition on flash drive.
Restored system to fusion drive from a Time Machine backup. Unfortunately, it seems that because I never installed OS X on my fusion drive, I do not have a recovery partition. But that's an issue for another day.
Using Boot Camp assistant, created a boot camp partition on my HDD.
Using WinClone, restore my Windows installation from the previously created image.
Now, Windows boots to a black screen telling me that it can't find a bootable device. I have tried a few things to resolve this, all without effect:
I know that VMware Fusion has to prepare a boot camp partition in order to virtualize it, so I figured it might inadvertently fix things. Alas, while it *did* successfully boot my boot camp partition into a virtual machine, I still can't boot into Windows.
I figured I'd just try to reinstall Windows. Surprisingly, my system booted to my Windows install disc, which was in my original optical drive (which I had put in a USB case). But, Windows refused to install, giving me a an error 0x8030024. It seems the solution to this issue is to disconnect all drives but the one on which you want to install Windows, which is something I would dearly like to avoid. It would be a pain, but more than that, I'm afraid it would bork my fusion drive, even if I'm careful to never boot to OS X with the SSD disconnected.
A lot of places said that this error results from a borked MBR, and suggest using a tool like gptfdisk to rewrite it. I followed the instructions [here](https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4144252?start=0&tstart=0), but *that* didn't work either.
I am now completely at a loss as to how to proceed, and Google isn't much help either.
In conclusion, here is some information that you may find helpful:

1. New Mini with internal 500GB with Mountain Lion(ML), put into an external FW enclosure, so the Mini can/could be booted using an external drive for contigency.
2. Replaced internal stock HDD (500Gb/5400rpm) with SSD/HDD (256Gb SSD/1TB 5400rpm).
3. Installed W7 x64 on 64GB partition on HDD, which was a single-partition drive to begin with.
4. The remaining HDD partition and the entire SSD was put into a Fusion drive.
5. Using Command-R, new ML installed on Fusion HD.
Here is what I currently have...(Disk0 - SSD, Disk1- 1TB HDD, Disk2 - Fusion, Disk3 - External FW).

Fatal Internal Error on startup "color.cpp", line 663, LabVIEW 8.0
I get this error message everytime i try to open a VI (even a blank VI!).
Now i'm sut uo, i can't usa any of my VIs!!!!I thought I should mention a couple of things regarding your last post.
I'm quite sure that the file you referenced is not the LabVIEW preferences file. The file should be located in your user directory under Libraryreferences. I'm pretty sure it's just called "LabVIEW 8.0 Preferences".
LabVIEW 8.0 was not tested for use on an Intel-based Mac. I can't say if this would be related to the problem or not.
Good luck! -

IS there any way to fix this issue ?
thanksHello
you have to login to your oracle support and search for ora 600 lookup tool
their if you enter kccpb_sanity_check_2 as 1st argument of ora 600 you will find a related document Doc ID 435436.1 explaining your issue for version Version 10.2.0.1 and later
Doc says that you might need to restore a backup of controlfile and recover or recreate controlfile or restore db from last good backup and recover
Thanks

I picked up a new 500 gig Hitachi hard drive to put into a vantex hd enclosure. Now every time I try and use it, i get a device removal error and the hard drive icon on the desktop disappears. I can't use Time machine or verify my hard drive in disk utilities because it always seems to eject itself. I tried a couple different USB cables and tried rebooting my computer. Both products are new, I'm wondering if it is a hardware problem and if it is, which one, the enclosure or the hard drive?
Any suggestions? Thanks for the suggestion but..
Tried that this morning and it still doesn't work:( I turn it on, start up Time Machine and it starts backing up the files and then some times it will start backing up 20-30 gigs and then give me the device removal error, or sometimes it only backs up 10-20 mb before giving me that error, but even after it ejects itself the hard drive is still on, but i have to turn it off and then back on again for the disk to remount. I'm leaning towards a hardware problem, just not sure if its hard drive or enclosure. I bought both online and having to send them back is always a pain because they usually just send them back saying they work and tack on another fee. Im hoping to resolve this some other way, but running out of ideas.
Any other thoughts? -
Hi everyone,
I have windows 7, 64bit. When I open fireworks and start a new project, it immediately gives me this warning:
internal error
internal error
i get this error about 7 times, and then it freezes.
I have no idea what to do, I've tried all the suggestions I can find in this board.
Please help
Thanks
AdamI have just strated using Fireworks on a PC at work. My brief reserach seems to suggest that Fireworks is 32bit and 'built to work with 64 bit'. I'm not sure what that means, but it seems that out of memory errors & internal errors are par for the course. My searching for answers to these problems has been in vain I'm afraid.
Working on the very same files at home - on my 2 year old Mac with less ram - is stable. -
Firewire drive Device Removal error
I have three (3) firewire enclosures and only one of them works with my intel Mac. All three work great with my old G4 laptop and iMac but now I connect them to this new intel Mac and I get the beach ball that spins and can not read the drive. Well actually I can read the drive for maybe a minute before it locks up and in some cases it dismounts by itself and give me a Device Removal error. I have tried them one at a time and only one of the enclosures seams to work without any issues, the other two will work fine on the G4 but not on the intel. One of the enclosures that I have trouble with I formatted the hard drive using the intel Mac with Disk Utility and still no luck. Could this be a driver issue with the intel Mac? I know it's not the hard drive because I swap it into the other enclosure and it works fine. So what gives? Any suggestions would be helpful. Rick
Mac Pro Mac OS X (10.4.8)Took your advise and called Apple support concerning this issue. Apple support person was not surprised by the front port causing some issues when transferring large amounts of data. Even though the rear ports could handle this with no problems. He reported that the front ports are similar to a hub and are there for convenience for small transfers and are not hard wired into the motherboard like the rear ports. He suggested that for large file transfers should always use the rear ports or a powered hub such as on the back of the Mac HD Monitor. So there you go... not what I was looking for in a answer but makes sense. Hope this will help others not waste a lot of time wondering why some issues pop up when using the front ports. Rick

Can't load ASIO driver / device could not be opened error in Audition CC but not Audition CS6
I have a M-Audio Fast Track Ultra USB 2.0 that I use for audio. I installed Audition CC and it wont let me use the ASIO driver for it. I get the device could not be opened error. On the same system I have Audition CS6 which works with the ASIO driver fine. Also have Vegas, Premiere, etc - all on the same machine and no problems with the M-Audio driver. I can load the Blackmagic ASIO driver but don't use that for audio mixing. Changing Use Machine Specific Device Defaults and Force Hardware to Sample Rate does nothing. Running Windows 7 64 bit.
M-Audio 64-bit driver is apparently troublesome, but the 32-bit one works fine - which explains why CS6 works and CC doesn't. As far as I can find out, you aren't the only person with this problem - have a look at this Reaper forum thread - you may get some useful information from it (no promises!)

ENCORE CS6 gives error message during the burning of Blu-ray Disc
I did it again - upgraded my Production Premium CS5 to CS6.
I will not forget CS4 that never came to work. It was not a workable version, but at best an Alfa or maybe Beta version.
I was therefore naturally afraid to upgrade my reasonably well functioning CS5 version, but did it anyway.
My fears kept unfortunately connectors. Audition CS6 scratchy and crunches a lot when I change Audio Device from MME to ASIO. It should be noted, that none of my other programs have this problem neither my Soundbooth nor Audition 5.5 which I fortunately still have installed. So it is only Audition CS6 that crunches with ASIO4ALL.
Encore CS6 is also a problem child. When I try to burn a Blu-ray Disc I get, in the final phase, following error message: Blu-ray Error: "device error", Code: "CreateStcSequence: Fail to write M2S file"
Fortunately, I can open the project file in my Encore CS5, which do not have the same problem. Encore CS6 cannot be used as a standalone application - I still need to have a previous version installed to complete my projects. It is not fair.
Unfortunately I can see that many others have the same problem. Even worse, however, that Adobe still has not come with an update or fair solution of the problem - after so long.
It annoys me infinitely, I every time have to spend so much time on the Internet in an attempt to find solutions to remedy Adobe problems. These are programs I have paid dearly for - exactly twice as much as others living in the U.S. pay - just because I live in Europe.
If there is a user who has some useful suggestions I would appreciate it very much.
I must complain about my bad English.
Thank you in advance.Hi Jim,
ISO files also works for me, but that's not what I paid for.
So far I use just the previous version CS5, but hope at some point to get CS6 to work. -
Audition CS6 fails to load default i/o device - requires reboot to work
We've got a workstation at our radio studio that runs Audition CS6, version 5.0.2, build 7 under Windows XP SP3. It uses a Digigram VX222v2 sound card as its default with an ASIO driver.
The problem...
The production engineer will open the program and get the following error message:
"Loading the default input and output devices failed. The device could not be opened. Would you like to review Audition's audio hardware preferences?"
When clicking "OK," the operator gets a message that the driver or device is unavailable and the program defaults to the built-in Windows sound card and MME driver. Only a complete system reboot will get things working again. She has no other programs running on the system that use the Digigram card.
Any thoughts? Is the "Use machine specific device defaults" box ticked in Preferences/Audio Hardware? This should ensure that the correct device is selected when Audition starts. Also make sure that "Release ASIO driver in background" is not ticked.

New Franz Ferdinand NOT available at iTMS Canada
While since Oct. 4 all the iTMS sell the new Franz Ferdinand album, the Canadian store does not. No wonder people download from Limewire etc. Does anyone know what the deal is? I'd spend a lot more money if we had the same tunes as the US or UK store
