Audition_File Save Path

So while in Premiere Pro CS5.5, I am using the Edit in Audition feature for some audio clips. When Audition launches, I notice that it autosaves the extracted audio file to my harddrive. How can I change the autosave file path for these extracted audio files? Do I change this in Audition or Premiere, and where the heck do I change it?
Thanks.

You might have better luck on the Audition Forum.

  • Need help changing the default Save Path

    Hello,
    We are implementing SAP, and will be using Citrix as the source for the GUI.  One of our requirnments are, that we need to change the default "Save Path" that users save documents too.   By default, this is to the C drive, but, we need it set to a different drive (i.e. V: on the citrix server).
    We found this note on SDN (see below) - however, it does not explain how to change or add this registry value?  Is this done in the GUI options, or in regedit?  If in reg-edit, where abouts in the tree does it go?
    Thanks guys, and any help would be greatly appriciated.
    Richard
    (As of SAP GUI 7.20, patch level 4) the REG_EXPAND_SZ registry value InitSaveDir can be used to configure the default path and folder for users to save the reported information in case of an access denial due to security rules. If users change the default path and save the information to an individual location, this new path will be kept as long as the user does not terminate the program. When starting SAP GUI again, users will get the configured default path again to store the reported information, the individual path changes will be lost. If the registry value does not exist, the default directory is the document directory of the SAP GUI.
    By default none of the above registry values exists. In order to change the behavior of the security module, the registry values need to be created and set to the desired value. A not existing registry value means use the default.
    In this doc:

    Hi,
    "Security rules that are created for a large number of users can be centrally stored on a server by an administrator. The administrator can use the registry values below under the registry key
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\SAP\SAPGUI Front\SAP Frontend Server\Security]
    to configure the behavior of the security module.
    Note: For 64 bit operating systems please use the following registry key
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SAP\SAPGUI Front\SAP Frontend Server\Security]
    to configure the behavior of the security module."
    You can use regedit for installing this values.

  • Form Setttings Save Path

    Hi Guys,
    Quick question I hope, does anyone know what the save path is for each users form settings when they adjust their on screen layouts. I am at a clients that has a very strange IT policy and everytime they log back into SAP the form settings have to be reset. I suspect their IT Support company need to give write permissions to whichever folder on their PC,s these settings save to.
    Anyone got any ideas
    Thanks

    Anyone ?????

    Hi Sean,
    You may check this: Re: Settings don't seem to "stick" after being added from the Form Setttings
    The user Form Settings are actually saved in the database. The users may not have enough permission to save their settings.

  • Open in read / set save path

    Hello,
    I would like to open an image in read only mode and then set the save path to save to a different directory, without actually saving the document. The former i can manage. When the user selects save I wish the save directory to be different from the source. Is it possible.
    Thanks

    Thanks for the reply.
    Anything is welcome at this point.
    And yes, I did try both through PowerShell and through the Unlocker and the behavior is pretty much the same. If the item is checked in, there is no trace that it is locked, if I Check it Out (the only thing I can really do with it) it shows as "LongTerm"
    but then throws the same exception
    Unlocking...

  • Save path not remembered and more

    Hello
    Coming from PSE6 on mac, had to upgrade because of the lack of Canon D550 raw files support and went PC at the same time. 1st rant - no upgrade from 6 to 9?? Had to buy the damn app all over again?!
    So now, it really annoys me no end that I have to specify the save path every time a save a foto. This wasn't always the case - as with normal apps running under windows, PS would remember where you last saved and keep that path until changed. I also find it very annoying to have to deseclect the organizer function each time. And while I'm at it...bridge for mac was so much easier to handle that the organizer. Why is it that foto software these days keeps using these organizer tools that more and more work like a mere preset catalogue for holiday, christmas and wedding pics?? I  don't need people recognition, a mother's day preset, etc etc.
    Just let me browse my folders, and please generate thumbnails for Raw files IN the folder, not just the preview in the bottom!...it would make so much more sense just to have a browse function in the file menu. Why don't you just keep things simple and practical??

    It’s usually due to incorrect permissions settings on the OS.
    Open Windows Explorer and navigate to:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe
    Locate the Photoshop Elements 9 folder (the one with the blue PSE logo)
    Right click on that folder and choose Properties - then click the security tab and make the following changes:
    1. Click on the edit button to change permissions.
    2. Click Add and type the word “Everyone” in the Object names Box (without the quotation marks) and click OK.
    3. Under group/User Names select everyone so that it becomes highlighted.
    4. Put a check mark in the box against Allow Full Control and click Apply.
    N.B. for Windows 64 bit navigate to Program Files (x86)
    PSE should now remember you last settings rather than reverting to the default settings.

  • Changing Save Path for Visi Documents

    Hi,
    Does anyone know how / if the file path for saving visulation documents can be modified?  It does not seem to allow you to change the path when saving a document.
    Thanks,
    Mel

    Hi Mel,
    You could now do that, but with a small work around. I have created a document that explains exactly how you do that. SAP Lumira – Geek Tweaks: Changing default save path location of SAP Lumira.

  • Default save path using AXAcroPDF

    Hi,
    I'm using the AxAcroPDF component in a windows forms Application.
    I know that the default filename for the save dialog can be setup using AxAcroPDF.src("filename");
    Is there an option to set the default path for the save dialog.
    Is there a way to prevent the save dialog from appearing on screen and just save the file
    to the default path and filename.
    Thanks

    Hello, I am looking for a way to change the default save path that Logic uses, since we use Logic for education, we have many users and they all tend not to save their work in the right place. So being able to change the default save path would make our lives a lot easier!
    I appreciate any help you can give, even if the answer is that you can't change it.
    Thanks!
    Hi,
    Each Logic session creates it's own save path. The best way is to allow for Logic to store all relative data for each session in it's own song folder.
    Unfortunately, you have to tell your students where you want them to store their song folders. Logic simply obeys commands at that point, and cannot force a save into a pre-determined folder.
    You also can lock certain areas of the computer, so the students cannot save in those folders.

  • Targa files used to save paths, but I can't get it to work now.

    I've been using targa files to provide my marketing team with images that work in their space planning program that include transparency. I use an alpha channel to do this, and that part remains in fine working order. However, I used to save these targas on our network drive and they would retain paths we had created so we could easily select different parts of products and change the color for proposals the marketing team wanted to do.
    It's been a little while since this functionality has stopped working for me, and I can't for the life of me figure out why.
    They take substantial resizing after the fact, so just generating them from the PSD file every time is not an option. We still need the full size images from time to time anyway, and I'm talking about thousands of images. The size it would take on our network would make IT BM in their collective pants.
    Edit: I suppose I should say that I recently upgraded to CC, but I've been having this problem before then with CS5 as well. On a Mac, running Mavericks.

    I appreciate the reply. It's unfortunately not helpful for this problem.
    The sheer number of images we end up having to edit makes working on PSDs prohibitive, so we start and finish new versions of the products using only the TGA files. These files don't retain any of the channels created by masks in the PSD.
    When we have a product that has only one possible color, selecting the channel that we use for transparency works to grab the item for color correcting, but often times there are multiple parts to the product (wheels, handles, etc.) that need to be selected individually to create the color combinations marketing needs.
    I suggested to my coworkers that we could create channels for all the different features, but without testing to make sure this doesn't break the functionality in the space planning program, it's not something we want to try.

  • SBS 2011 GPO for changing the default save path applying to Win7 but not working

    So this is a strange one. I've got an SBS 2011 server that's the only domain controller in the org. I've created a GPO to change the default save location for Excel 2013 and Word 2013 using the Office 2013 ADMX files which were installed to the PolicyDefinitions
    folder.
    The GPO (U-Office2013 Default Save Location) only contains:
    1. User Configuration - Microsoft Excel 2013/Excel Options/Save - Default file location - Enabled - Z:\
    2. User Configuration - Microsoft Word 2013/Word Options/Advanced/File Locations - Default file location - Enabled - Z:\
    The GPO is linked at the OU that contains my users for my SBS organization.
    When I do a gpupdate /force on a windows 7 system with office2013 installed, and then run a gpresult/rsop, the policy appears to be applied successfully as it lists my GPO under the Applied GPOs list on the workstation:
    Applied GPOs
    Default Domain Policy dyndns.local AD (24), Sysvol (24)
    U-Office2013 Default Save Location domain.local/SBSusers AD (6), Sysvol (6)
    In the gpresult report, the applied settings appear under:
    Administrative Templates
    Extra Registry Settings
    software\policies\microsoft\office\15.0\excel\options\defaultpath Z:\ U-Office2013 Default Save Location
    software\policies\microsoft\office\15.0\word\options\doc-path Z:\ U-Office2013 Default Save Location
    BUT, when I go to the workstation, and check office->options-Save-default file path, the path has not been changed to what the GPO is pushing.
    The strange thing is that in my test environment running 2008R2 server and Win7 with Office 2013 and identical settings the default save location is applied and works as expected.
    Any ideas?
    I've already tried re-installing the ADMX templates and re-created the GPO's several times.
    Thanks in advance.

    When a group policy is not applying, it is often that it has been linked to the wrong OU. Please first check this.
    You might also check the apply status on the client site based on the GPSVC.log.
    How to enable GPO logging:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/csstwplatform/archive/2010/11/09/how-to-enable-gpo-logging-on-windows-7-2008-r2.aspx
    It looks more like an issue on server side than an issue of Office Group Policy settings. Try to post in Server forum and see if there is any luck:

  • Saving documents via Scripts: Get current file name and set save path/file type

    I am writing a script that will:
    -Make all layers invisible
    -Make a layer named "background" visible
    -Delete all the invisible layers
    -Save the docment as an EPS file (leaving the original document untouched)
    I am new to scripts and so have based my script by copying code from other scripts.
    Here is my code:
    var doc = app.activeDocument;
    var name = doc.name;
    var hide = function (){ // hide all layers (based on http://forums.adobe.com/thread/644267)
         var L=doc.layers.length;
         for (j=0;j<L;j++){  doc.layers[j].visible=false; }
    hide();
    // loop through all layers
    for (var i = 0; i < doc.layers.length; i++) {
                  // Create the illusrtratorSaveOptions object to set the AI options
        var saveOpts = new IllustratorSaveOptions();
        // Setting IllustratorSaveOptions properties.
        saveOpts.embedLinkedFiles = true;
        saveOpts.fontSubsetThreshold = 0.0
        saveOpts.pdfCompatible = true
    //Set up Variable to access layer name
              var currentLayer = app.activeDocument.layers[i];
    // Loop through the layers and make the back ground layer visible
              if (currentLayer.name == "Background") {
                        docName = name + currentLayer.name+".eps";
                        currentLayer.visible = true;
    // Delete Invisible Layers (based on http://www.cartotalk.com/index.php?showtopic=7491)
    var myDoc=app.activeDocument;
    var layerCount=myDoc.layers.length;
    for (var ii = layerCount - 1; ii >= 0; ii--) {
        var currentLayer = myDoc.layers[ii];
        currentLayer.locked = false;
        var subCount = currentLayer.layers.length;
        for (var ss =subCount -1; ss >= 0; ss--){
            var subLayer = currentLayer.layers[ss];
            subLayer.locked = false;
            if (subLayer.visible == false){
                subLayer.visible = true;
                subLayer.remove();
        if (currentLayer.visible == false){
            currentLayer.visible = true;
            currentLayer.remove();
    // Save Out Document with New Name
    var saveName = new File ( doc.path + "/" + docName );
    doc.saveAs( saveName, saveOpts );
    Everything works fine except:
    1) It saves the document with the name AdobeIllustratorBackground as opposed to the name of the document
    Also, I am not sure how to tell the script to save as EPS and to specify the save location.
    Could some one give me some pointers?          Thanks!

    Thanks! I changed my code to this:
    var title = doc.name;
    var title = title.substring(0, title.length - 3);
    And it now works! (The substring thing removes the .ai extenion).
    However, how do I get it to save it as an EPS? (I found this script that  saves as PNG, but I am not sure how to adapt it to EPS).
    Also, how do I set the file output path?
    Thanks for any help that can be offered.

  • Preview.app remember save path and file extension

    In Snow Leopard version of Preview.app, it would remember the path to where you have saved the previous file.   I do a lot of cropping and color correction with preview and loved the way it worked in Snow Leopard.   Now I have to drill down in the folder structure every time I save a file.    Is there a way to have the new preview remember the last saved file path.
    Another thing that has always bothered me with either version is the default file type for pictures.   I would like to change the default from png to jpg.
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks
    Steve

    I very strongly agree.
    The user should be able to choose a default type for export.
    Iterated exports should go to the same directory as the previous export by default. The first export of a series is not iterated, so it must have its parent directory chosen.
    Sigh . . .

  • Script to Save Path/File Name/login user information

    Hi all,
    Could anyone tell me how to solve this below problem.
    ·        Here i  Need to write a script which does the following
                In Adobe Illustrator CS2, when i run script then the path information of the current open file, Filename of the file and the Login person name has to be recorded in a text file and saved onto the server. (Ex \\10.99.0.60\filehistory\ [today].txt).
    ·        All these activity should take place simultaneously by executing the script once.
    ·        Collect path/File name/Login information and write it to a file. After writing save it to a location in the server. All these should occur in one shot.
    ·        For different opened files of the same day work, different information (path/File name/Login) will be collected and appended to the same text file and locations.
    ·        Different files will be created for information about on each date.
    Regards,
    Sanat

    Try This. (BTW, i am a newbie, learning Applescript now)
    tell application "Adobe Illustrator"
    set filePath to get file path of current document
    set filePath1 to POSIX path of filePath
    set userName to get short user name of (system info)
    tell application "Finder"
    set theFilePath to (path to desktop as string) & "test.txt" as string
    set theFileReference to open for access theFilePath with write permission
    set theResult to get eof of theFileReference
    write filePath1 & " User Name: " & userName & return & return starting at theResult to theFileReference as string
    set theResult to theResult + 1
    close access theFileReference
    end tell
    end tell

  • Export Report does not remember last save path

    I have an old VB6 application that runs on Windows Server 2003 terminal server, that uses crystal reports 9 to generate reports.
    The application is now installed on windows server 2008.
    When exporting reports to file (PDF) on WS2003 the path to where i last saved the file is remebered in the save file dialog.
    But on WS2008 the path is always set to something like "C:\Users\CurrentUser\AppData"
    Does anybody know how to make the file save dialog for filexport remeber the last used savepath?

  • Newbie - Dreamweaver CC 2014 - Document Scan - Get Save Path/File

    Hi,
      I've been a programmer for a long time but have done very little web development. Last time I touched dreamweaver has to be 10 years ago. A company I'm working with is developing a web front end for their system. In their existing system, they are able to scan a document by pressing a button in the application. The button push scans the document and open Acrobat Pro. When the user saves the PDF, they are able to get the path where the user saved the file as well as the file name and then they store that information in the DB of previously mentioned system. From the application they are hitting a TWAIN driver to invoke the scanning (if I understood correctly). The scanner I saw this done with is an EPSON GT-S50 and I believe they are programmatically reading the registry to get the last 15 files that were saved and determining the path and file name from there.
    Since they are now developing a web front end over the existing business logic, there are some things they have asked me to figure out. The first of which is how to duplicate what I mentioned above in a web front end. That being said, here's what I need to do:
    - Add a button labeled "Scan" to a web page with Dreamweaver that will invoke the scan process of the EPSON Scanner.
    - Have that scanned document open in Acrobat.
    - On save of the document in Acrobat, I need to get the path and file.
    - Add a button to view the file labeled "View".
    - On select of the "View button", I need to display the PDF on the same web page.
    I've done a bunch of reading so far and I haven't quite found what I need. If you can help point me in the right direction or have done something similar or even if you just want to offer moral support (haha) please let me know. I'll respond as quickly as possible to additional questions, I need to move on this...
    Thanks,
    Rob

    Hi Nancy,
    Thank you for responding. I guess the environment would be helpful.. (Sorry) . The web front in will be on servers in one of the major clouds (AWS/Rackspace/etc) and the DB's will be on other servers in the cloud while the servers will be at the customer's offices. So yeah, it is complicated. What I'm trying to come up with is  way to do it without tying the end customer to have to marry their network to the cloud network or forcing them to use RDP or Citrix etc.. Trying to come up with the most flexible option. One other thing they are shooting for is mobile compatibility. I just started working on this with them, I wasn't involved in the meetings along the way...
    Thanks,
    Rob

  • Help Please! my JPG files suddenly won't save paths

    I'm using CS5 on a mac. I've always been able to save JPG files with clipping paths intact. Suddenly today the paths won't save. I do a 'save as' and the path is there. When I close the file and open it up again, the path (not work path, but a saved path) is gone. No path in the path panel list! I am guessing I must have accidentally changed a setting?? Not sure what else it could be short of a software bug. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

    That's a bit strange. I am not aware of a setting that would cause the path not to be saved.
    The two circumstances to investigate are: i) was the path not saved and ii) are you not seeing it for some reason. The only way I am aware of to not save the path is to save the file as a jpg via Save For Web & Devices.
    If the file was parsed by some other viewer & saved after it left photoshop then you could loose the path, though this is not common. Also, if you happen to open the jpg via camera raw it would also not be parsed to include the path.
    Paulo
    P.S.   Perhaps you could post a sample jpg file that you believe should have a path that you cannot see.
