Audition keeps crashing everytime I try to use it.

Question

I have been recording some of my radio work using audition cs5.5 on my Mac Book Pro (2 and half years old). Just recently, it will not let me do anything with my wav files. I press spacebar to play and it says 'Playing' but isnt. When I hit pause or another button, it crashes and I have to force quit it.
Anyone have any suggestions for me. Have I accidently switched something on that stops it playing?

Do a malware check with some malware scan programs.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.<br />
