Audition won't open except through Premiere Pro CS4
So last year my issue was when I got CS4, Premiere Pro wouldn't open unless I had After Effects and Audition 3.01 already open; and then I had to attempt to open Premiere three times -- then it would open. That was the magical solution. I don't know why it worked that way, but that's the way it was.
After years of faithful service, now Audition won't open. On the other hand, Premiere Pro opens the first time without any other Adobe program being open.
My jaw dropped.
Audition will open if I want to edit a sound file from Premiere Pro. I haven't added any new Audition VST goodies lately.
But if I try to open it from the desktop, the error msg reads:
AppName: audition.exe AppVer: 2.0.5306.2 ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 6c694620
I tried the Run As solution that was posted here, but no joy.
In fact, I can't even uninstall and reinstall Audition because the process halts with a message that the
components.msi in the Windows folder is missing or bad.
I'm running this on a Sony Viao VGC-RC219G with Windows XP SP3.

I would have liked to uninstall and re-install, but either XP or Audition wouldn't let me.
I kept trying 'Repair' under the Add Or Remove Programs, but consistently there was an error message saying that a file '_1FEE7blahblahblah' in Data1.cab was missing or corrupt. I happen to have another copy of Audition running on my laptop, so I copied the Data1.cab to a thumbdrive and copied it into the Audition folder on my desktop computer.
It finally allowed me to run the repair and everything seems OK.
Even CS4 Premiere Pro has gone back to being broken. . .although I think it's a Quicktime issue.
The fun never stops.

When I try to open .prproj file, I get the message "Where is the File <name of file>.mpeg?
1) I have tried manually finding the .mpeg file and double-clicking on it. This displays the error: "File Import Failure 'Unsupported format or damaged file.'"
2) I have also tried selecting the "Skip" and "Skip All" buttons. In this case, Adobe Premiere .prproj opens but none of videos appear. Instead there is a red screen saying "Media Offline"
What is causing these issues? Why am not able to select the unfindable files and, more importantly, why can I not open the .prproj project. ANy insight would be greatly appreciated!

this project contained a sequence that cannot be opened. no sequence preview preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence type.

Premiere Pro CS4 Setup won't open
Ok, so I searched and couldn't find anyone with a similar problem: I just downloaded the trial version for Premiere Pro CS4 on Adobe website, but the setup file won't open. I'm on Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, more than 10GB of available disk space; meeting all the system requirements. I can open and browse the .DMG, but when I open the Setup, its icon briefly appears on the Dock, then disappears.
Does anyone know what I should to do fix this?? Many thanks in advance!!I formatted my HDD, did a clean instalation of Snow Leopard, opened the setup... and it worked just fine!!
That is great news, and thanks for reporting.
Now, there have been some stated issues with Encore and Snow Leopard. If you plan on using Encore for authoring, you might want to pop into the Encore forum and look around. Do not recall the issues, or any resolutions, but there were some issues.

Premiere Pro CS4 won't open. Receiving Error message...
When I try to open Premiere Pro CS4, the program doesn't open but I receive the Error message below instead:
LoadLibraryEx Startup.dll failed with error 999: Error performing inpage operation.
Does anyone know what this means or how I can fix it aside from reinstalling the software? Thanks.
YoeyThank you for that info. I actually just reinstalled the program only to have another error occur. Apparently that when you install Premier, you must also install a bunch of other perhipheral software including After Effects Third Party Content. There was an error with that but Premiere worked fine, but After Effects wouldn't start. Then I checked for updates and everything seems to be working fine. Not even sure if that Third Party Content is working because my laptop is not powerful enough to run After Effects effectively anyways. But thanks again for your response. I will defenitely keep that in mind if I ever have any more problems.

How to enable "Open in Adobe Premiere Pro" function

I'm working with Audition CC 2014 and Premiere Pro 2014. I sent a squence from Premiere to Audition via "Edit in Adobe Audition". But now, when I try to export the track back from Audition to Premiere (Multitrack=>Export to Adobe Preniere Pro..."), in the dialoge box, the function "Open in Adobe Premiere Pro" is disabeled and I can`t mark it to enable the function.

ZivHmm. That box should only be disabled if Audition doesn't see a registry entry indicating that Premiere Pro is installed. But obviously, you have Premiere Pro installed if you sent a sequence to Audition. My first suggestion would be to do a reinstall of Premiere, but it might be worth finding out if you are running any anti-virus or system monitoring software that might protect or "repair" the Windows registry.

Reinstalling all the apllication and if the aplication is standard CS4 (4.0) this acti0on will not resolve the issue.
My recomendation is to install update 4.0.1 and 4.1.0
Others like 420, 421 is apllicable only if demand use of large avc intra, red format and p2 with h264 and other improvments

Having trouble signing into Story through Premiere Pro CC
Hi all,
I'm having an issue signing into Story through Premiere Pro. I'd like to attach a transcript saved on story to a clip in premiere pro to be able to eventually use speech analysis. And the tutorials online suggested going to window and opening adobe story panel. Once I do that, I'm prompted to sign in with my adobe account, but my adobe email and password combination gives me an error message: The password you entered does not match your Adobe ID.
Does anyone know a solution or work around to this? It seems like it should be so straightforward...Ah. Hmmm. I am an Android user and Premiere Pro likes my video just fine.
Is there a way to convert the iPhone video to constant fps, or is there a setting that records it that way?
Edit: if somebody would send me a link to some iPhone 5 video that I could download and mess around with, I would appreciate it.
Edit: Couldn't Quicktime be used to convert it to a contant frame rate? -

That depends, at least in part, on which platform you're. [That and the exact version of Premiere Pro you have are two data points that you should always include...]
On Windows, Premiere has an effect called Lens Distortion. I'm not sure what your options are on Mac. If someone else doesn't come along with suggestions for Mac, then Googling "'Premiere Pro" mac fisheye GoPro" yields some promising hits. -

File failure with Adobe Dynamic link when opening a *.prproj file - Premiere Pro CS4
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to open a Premiere Pro CS4 file (*.prproj) but the bar that appears sating 'Opening file' (or similar) gets stopped before finishing to load the file.
I tryed to export some sequences using Adobe Media Encoder CS4 (I wanted to rescue my work), but when I have to select the sequences that I want to export, it says that there is a problem with Adobe Dynamic Link.
Any idea for rescue the file?

The Software Update pane of System Preferences won't show full version upgrades. If your Mac is compatible with Yosemite, you can either download it from the Mac App Store or order a download code for Mountain Lion from the online Apple Store.
