Audtion 2.0

I need to reinstall Audition 2.0 but can't activate. I have several hundred copies of this software and can't use it now due to the activation server being down. Installing Audition 3.0 is not an option as the session files will not be the same. How can I get a copy of 2.0 that does not require activation. Also I don't understand why adobe website and support has to be so bad. The adobe website gets tons of 413 errors on my browser and is frustrating.

A non-activating version of Audition 2.0 was not released and is not available, and the retirement of those servers should only affect new installations, not existing ones.  The .SES session files between Audition 2.0 and 3.0 should be completely compatible with each other, however, and the 3.0 version is much more stable with better performance.

  • Setting up my Line6 UX1 with Audtion 3.0 on Win7 - settings dialog takes ages to respond

I downloaded the trial of Adobe Audition 3.0 (I've been using 1.5 on WinXP for a few years now and it's always been fine to use!)
I am trying to set up my Line6 POD Studio UX1 with Audtion 3.0 on Windows 7 Pro (64 Bit - 32GB RAM Quad Core Intel i7 3770 Processor)
I am noticing that the Settings dialog takes ages to respond and update with the changes I make - when I eventually managed to get playback - the playback only came out on the left monitor.
I should mention that I am doing this on a previous Audition 1.5 session - Audition 3.0 saved the session as a new session so I think that should be fine.
What I'm looking for here is the correct settings I need to use in Audition 3.0 to use my UX1.
I don't want to pay for Audition 3.0 if it's not going to work for me!

You won't be able to pay for Audition 3 since it was discontinued several years ago. However you may be able to upgrade to AA3 for free as a previous Audition user.

  • Trying to Install Audtion 3.0 - Installer stalls

What software are you trying to install?
Adobe Audtion 3.0 (From the Download Link Tech Support Gave me for no longer supported products)
Which operating system are you using?
    Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit
Was the software previously installed prior to downloading the non-activating version currently available?
Yes, Audition 2.0 was previously installed, I did a full uninstall "advanced"
What specific error messages are you receiving when trying to install?
There is no error message. The installer just stalls.
I get the message, "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to your computer?"
I choose yes and it just stops.

    Hi Mylenium,
I tried running the installer in compatibility mode and still had the same issue. (Tried service pack 2 & 3 as well)
    No change.
    Any other suggestions?

  • Adobe Audtion 3.0 Vista Compatibility

Please advise me, as I am lost.
I need to find out whether the application called "Adobe Audtion 3.0 Vista Compatibility" is
    1) a proper program that requires its own purchase/license
    or
    2) just a service release, which does not require a license doc. but which is thus covered by the license doc. for Audition 3.
I need this for a Software License Compliance report.
I do not have access the the company's PC, so I cannot go a check anywhere or ask anybody.
I sit in a different company.
Normnally I can find the info I seek on the internet, but I cannot decide on this one.
The info comes from 'Add/remove programs'.
    Please Help!!

I appreciate your answer. If you are not 100% certain I will see if anybody else has a
suggestion - if not I will go by your reply.
    Thank you.

  • Need help with adobe audtion recording using a mic i wantto plug in

i need to record audio into adobe audtion using an external mic that i will plug intgo the mac. But whe i plug in the chord i still geth thw internal mic recording..any help please??????????????@

I'll stress that I use Windows not a Mac so I'm not expert on that sort of thing but this guide seems to give the information you need:  How to Setup External Microphone in Mac - Make Tech Easier
Once you have the computer itself set up, the controls you need within Audition are on the Edt/Preferences/Audio Hardware menu.  If the mic is properly recognised by the Mac operating system as per the link above, you should then find it on a drop down menu you can select from in Audition.

  • "Edit in Audtion" does not work

I'm a light user of Premiere and Audition who has used "Edit in Audtion" in the past and found it to be a quick and efficient process. Adobe seems to have changed the workflow with the latest release and now the process no longer works. Premiere creates the Adobe Audition Interchange folder, WAV files, and an XML file, but it doesn't replace audio in the sequence with the extracted files, and Audition never launches. There are no error messages displayed. It just creates the files and then does nothing.
I've reinstalled Audition but that has not helped.
I'm running the very latest CC 2014 releases on Windows 8.1.

Do a forum search for 'edit in audition'.

If a concrete answer can be found, you might start looking on an Adobe forum and not an Apple forum.  Try the Adobe Audition forum for versions prior to 3.0.1.

  • Audtion cs6 keeps opening in premire pro cc instead of audtion cc

auditioncs6 keeps opening in pr5emiere cc when I want to open audtion cc

In Windows you need to set open audio files to Audition CC.
If that does not work; deinstall CS6.

  • Unable to Open/Import Multiple Files in Audtion 3 - Old Bug?

As stupid as it might sound I can't seem to open more then single files from the Files Window in Audition 3.0.1. You can select them (shift+click or right click) but they don't open. However if you drop them from explorer or "open file with" they do open but then the next issue emerges.... They are not saved in the session file UNLESS you use them in the Multitrack View!! Now is this me or is it an old bug or something? (I've recently updated from Audition 1.5).
The files I've tried are mainly wav-files and mp3. Same result though.

Ooo? So UNSED files are NOT reloaded in the session file! Well, thanks for
clearing that up (Still, I must say it makes it a bit frustrating though!).
My impression was that, as I used Audition 1.5 before, I was quit sure it
was possible there! But then again it's been a while since I used that
program too in a major scale. (I've been working in much After Effects
lately, wich of course has another handling of files).
As for the Files (Edit) View, I still can not open more than ONE file at the
time from that location - regardles of Multitrack or Edit View, really!
ShiftClick, CtrlClick, Right Click - you name it. Yes, select them but
open? No can do!! Now, as I mentioned before there is the workaround when I
select the files in explorer (Windows) and then drops them in Auditions
File View - they all then load accordingly (Or you can aslo use "open file
with" then point to Audition). Otherwise, once the files are imported,
there's no problem working with them in Multitrack/Edit and do all the rest.
Yet, it is a bit absured though and hard to tell whether it's a bug or not
    (?). Virus?
    Anyway, thanks a bunch!

I'm not sure I'm understanding your problem with the Files window.  To try
this, I opened eight files in the Files window in Edit View.  From there I
could drag any one of them into the Edit window with no problems.  I also
was able to drag them into different tracks in Multi Track View.  I also put
files into the Files window, CTRL+clicked all of them and dragged all of
them at once into the Multi Track View successfully.  I repeated this doing
SHIFT+click.  I then put into the Files window tracks that have different
sample rates.  They all went into the Multi Track without incident (after
the program resampled the unmatching tracks to conform to the session's
    sample rate).
    >
Yes, you are correct that the files not used in the session are not
reloaded into the Files window when the session is reopened.

  • Audtion CC hangs, then crashes on Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I'm not sure what's going on as it has launched previously.  It hangs on the splash screen while displaying, "initializing required application components... (DLMS)" then eventually stops responding and crashes.  I've cleared preferences, in additio to re-installing completely (while deleting preferences).  I've logged out, then back into creative cloud.
I haven't tried to launch all of my Adobe CC programs, but Illustrator CC works fine, as does 32-bit Photoshop CC; however, 64-bit Photoshop CC also hangs and crashes upon opening.
Thanks in advance for any help on this!

  • Multitrack View not showing up on Adobe Audtion 3.0

You have your Edit View, Multitrack View, and Cd View. Edit View and Cd View work when I click on them but Multitrack view doesn't come up when i click on it. The time selection although does change and I am able to navigate my cursor blindly not knowing what I'm doing almost like there's a  multitrack window going on in the back but I can't get to it. Please help, anything would be greatly appreciated.
    Steven Rickels

I don't quite know how that could have happened. Do you not even see the tabs for Main and Mixer top left under the tool bar? Go to the Windows/Workspace menu and try selecting Multitrack View (Default) to see if that brings it back. Otherwise I suspect that it might mean a complete re-install of Audition.

  • Get a track from my alesis drum amchine to audtion cs6 that is synched up

There's no more midi, so how do i create drum tracks that are right in symch with the measures?   tech support useless.  in my old version i just slaved the drum machine to audition.  now there's no midi.  what do i do?  kind of need this ability.

Unfortunately for you, Audition has changed its product focus away from music creation (which it was never that great at) to video post. I can't think of a good way to achieve any sort of sync at all like this, except to lay the drum track down out of sync, and move it manally. You may have to stretch or shrink it slightly to fit, but if you align the start, and just look how far out it is at the end and correct for that, it should line up fine I think.

  • Any help for Audtion crashes. I have audition CC and recently it started crashing randomly

My Audition suite keeps crashing when transferring tracks from waveform to multitrack.  any help is awesome.

    Hi Ryan,
Thanks for the reply, So Im running on a MAC OS X Yosemite 2.7 Ghz intel core i5  8gb.  When I try to manipulate the pitch shifter effect the program sometimes will stall and freeze, or it will not play sound or apply to affect until after I hit apply which defeats the purpose of listening while you edit. the system will crash when transitioning from waveform to multi track.  these are the types o issues I have encountered.
