Audtion CC hangs, then crashes on Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I'm not sure what's going on as it has launched previously. It hangs on the splash screen while displaying, "initializing required application components... (DLMS)" then eventually stops responding and crashes. I've cleared preferences, in additio to re-installing completely (while deleting preferences). I've logged out, then back into creative cloud.
I haven't tried to launch all of my Adobe CC programs, but Illustrator CC works fine, as does 32-bit Photoshop CC; however, 64-bit Photoshop CC also hangs and crashes upon opening.

Safari, iWeb hanging, then crashing

For no good reason (no updates, etc.), Safari has suddenly started hanging then crashing when trying to boot it up. I tried manually tossing the cache, but to no avail. I have just discovered that I can no longer open my site on iWeb, which is a disaster, since I am about to launch the site publicly.
I tried repairing persmission, and restarting, none of which made a difference. I have the latest version of Safari (3.1).
What am I to do!??? Please help!!!! Thanks,

Apple push and Lycn conflicting - windows 7 ultimate x64

Hi,
I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64. I have iTunes installed and Microsoft Lync 2010. Whenever Lync is open and I try to open iTunes, I get this pop up message saying the "apple push has stopped working" and gives me the choice to close the program, thus I am unable to sync my iphone. Now if Lync is closed, I can open iTunes with no issues or errors and use it normally, but if itunes is open, I click to open Lync, a pop up windows opens for 3-4 seconds, a window that looks like it is installing Lync and the green bar fully loads in these few seconds, then the window disappears and Lync does not open. After this happens, I open taskmgr and I see "communicator.exe" which is Microsoft Lync, but there is no sign on windows which shows that it is open, only taskmgr shows that it is open in processes. It took me a while to figure out what was conflicting with what, but I finally found out that the issue if apple push that is affiliated with itunes, and microsoft lync. Is there any solution to this? I tried uninstalling and re installing both programs, but the problem still persists.

1. Launch Adobe Creative Cloud
2. Go to Preferences and then signout
3. Relaunch Photoshop and resignin using same Adobe ID.

HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC (Windows 7 Ultimate x64) USB controller not working

I am having problems with my HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC (Windows 7 Ultimate x64) Intially Windows 8 was installed but I got windows 7ultimate for it and now I'm missing the drivers for it.
I don't know how to fix this problem, I have tried everything. I downloaded an program called DeviceDocter and it downloaded the thing but then an error saying. Your system does not meet the miniumum requirements for this update. Update has been cancelled. (9996). It says AMD USB Controller Driver. It should work on my computer since it's Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Please help me fix my ports. Just my 2 ports on my left side of the computer isn't working. The right side of the computer port is working.

Adobe CS4 Design Center Premium Installation issues on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (RTM)

I am in the process of moving my systems to Windows 7; as part of that I have attempted to install the Adobe CS 4 Design Center Premium version that I purchased on August 16th. Thus far my experience with this has been disappointing.
My previous system (Windows Vista x64 Ultimate) was running Adobe CS 4 Production Premium version without problems. Upgrading this to Windows 7 worked just fine (so, Win 7 upgrade over Production Premium worked.) However, for unrelated reasons I decided to reinstall a fresh version of Windows 7. and the Adobe CS 4 Design Center Premium version in question.
What I observe is a highly repeatable failure during installation, in which as soon as I get to the phase where it displays "Currently installing LangPack(English) for Device Central" and then dies. Applications are half installed at that point (I can actually use most of the tools, which is why I keep setting this aside to look at it later.) This was a clean system and Adobe CS 4 Design Center Premium was the first thing I tried to install on the box.
Since that failure, I have tried to install it on a completely different system (my laptop) running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and experienced the same error. The desktop system is a Dell, the laptop is an HP.
The event log indicates a generic "event ID 1000" error. The detailed information shows that something returns STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER (0xC000000D) as an exception, which is not handled and the program then dies.

In attempting to find a work-around (since I would like to be able to actually use everything here) I have tried to run the installer in compatibility mode - both XPSP2 and Vista SP2 mode. Both fail in the same fashion.
At this point I've now installed a post-mortem debugger (WinDBG) and will attempt to capture more information about the specific failure. I am hoping that someone has seen this issue previously and has found a successful work-around. Thus, this appears to be related to WoW64 behavior in some fashion. I am unfamiliar with NtWaitForWorkViaWorkerFactory, so I'm not sure why it would be returning STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER.
So, I've collected a mini-dump for the process, but it's 300MB. In the unlikely event someone is interested in analyzing it, let me know and I'll gladly provide it.
I'm now wondering if I should re-wipe this drive, install Vista, Adobe CS 4 Design Center Premium and then upgrade to Windows 7. But that is a lot of effort to work around an app compat issue.

Adobe AIR won't install - Windows 7 Ultimate x64

An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator."
Well, I asked myself and verified that I am allowed to install any programs I wish to at will.
I even toyed with adding extra permissions for the .exe and shortcut [see below], to no avail.
I also checked your Adobe AIR installation troubleshooter section before posting. Unfortunately, none of the solutions 100% applied to my circumstances or OS, yet I tried a few anyway and had it confirmed by a Windows dialogue that I need not have bothered as it assured me that they weren't applicable in my case.
I found another thread like mine where somebody suggested creating a shortcut with an additional -uninstall parameter added to the .exe path. It didn't work.
I used Microsoft's Installation Cleanup Utility and that didn't work to "un-confuse" the installer either.
Do you have any more suggestions?
Adobe AIR came with the HTC Sync program for my phone, which appears to have dependencies on it where it won't completely work without it.

I would like to say thanks to artrose54 and to playswithtech for their thoughtful responses to my problem. I finally figured out which number I was to delete, and then, having made a copy of the number in notepad, deleted it. Upon a restart to my computer I then was able to download adobe air 2.7. I found that I still could not download the shutterfly express uploader, however; so I applied the same approach. I went looking for the number in the registry that corresponded to the uploader. I deleted it; restarted the computer; returned to shutterfly; and then was able to download the express uploader. I am sure I will find other uses for Adobe Air in the future.

Here is the fix that worked for me,
You need to go to start run and type in regedit
now press ctrl+f for find and type in "adobe air" without the quotes then click find next
the first entry it finds is the one I deleted, it is a long number on left side of screen that is greyed just right click and delete it
I then rebooted the computer and ran adobe air installation
and it worked with out a problem
The adobe air log file really doesn't tell u anything but where it tried to find the setup.msi file
but it doesn't exist because of the registry entry that needs to be deleted which is what causes the error
If u r not sure of editing the registry then maybe you know someone that can help you

Uninstall the software cleanly via the "Add or Remove programs" panel, then run another install. The breakdown is in the licensing system, not the application itself. Do not run the clean scripts until you have attempted this. If it still fails, then indeed a call to Adobe tech might do wonders...

iTunes cannot work if Quicktime doesn't, so that has to be fixed first.
Have you ever installed any of the following:
ACE & K-Lite mega codecs package, QT alternative, Storm codec, WinAVI video converter
If so the must be uninstalled.
Then or if you don't have them then continue with this;
Download the version of QUicktime that does not include iTunes:

Remove Quicktime using the method for QUicktime in this article:

When you get to the system32 folder, you can delete any file or folder with Quicktime in the name.
Restart your PC and then install the Quicktime you just downloaded.
Check to see if it works and if it does try iTunes.

ITunes 10.1.1 Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Issues

I have recently upgraded my windows system to Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and after installing the latest iTunes i realised that i couldn't connect any of my mobile devices (2x iPhone 3G's or my iTouch 4G).
After hours of researching the web i came to the conclusion that the latest version of iTunes doesnt contain the proper driver files for my specific system.
Has anyone else had this problem ? Or is my (brand new) pc busted ?
P.S. After uninstalling iTunes 10.1.1 for the Millionth time, i installed the older 10 version and it worked perfectly.
I am going to try updating through the iTunes updater to see what happens.

2 errors when trying to install cs4 on windows 7 ultimate x64

I downloaded the trial version of PS cs4 to try out on my new laptop. Its a clean install of windows 7 ultimate x64. I gets maybe 10% into the install and i keep getting these errors...

If somebody could shed some light on what i can do to make this work that would be great. Ive tried redownloading the installer probably 4 or 5 times now. Ive tried running in compatability mode and ive made sure its being ran as an administrator.

Some of CS4 might be installed so you will need to run the clean script.

Just install photoshop and bridge only. You can install the other stuff later on (not need to run bridge nor PS anyways)
Do the install only on C drive too.

Flash plugin keeps hanging and crashing in windowed mode.

Ever since i updated to version 4 (or maybe 5) of Firefox my flash plugin just kept hanging and then crashing whenever Firefox is in windowed mode. Heres how it happens:
1) I start watching some video on Youtube while Firefox window is expanded.
2) I change size of the window and switch away from video to some other window.
3) Instantly or sometimes after a couple of minutes Firefox hangs and playback stops.
4) I manually stop process "plugin-container.exe *32" and Firefox is instantly working again, while flash plugin obviously has to be restarted. If i don't close it manually plugin just crashes after some time by itself.
I have tried disabling plugins - didn't help. Flash plugin is updated. Java is updated. Firefox is updated. Drivers are up to date. I hoped that this will get fixed eventually, being a very common problem but its getting unbearable and beyond annoying.
I am using Vista x64 pro and video card info is in "troubleshooting information".

Depending on what did you do to reinstall Mail, you may very well have made things worse. Verify/repair your disk first (not just permissions), as described here:

After having fixed all filesystem issues, if any, reinstall the Mail application as described here:

If the version of the system software on your installation disks is earlier than what you're using now, then you must also reinstall the corresponding Combo Update afterwards, to bring the Mail application back in sync with the rest of the system:

Basically, you should verify/repair the startup disk before installing the update, and no applications should be running while installing it.
Your problems probably won't disappear after doing the above, but we cannot proceed any further until you've done it. Post back with your observations.

AppleTV plays movie music, no vision. Hangs then crashes and restarts.

I have a second generation AppleTV running software version 3.0.2.
I have had it for several months only just recently, when I play a movie that I have ripped using Handbrake the AppleTV plays sound but no picture, it then hangs (if I try to go back to the Menu) and then crashes before restarting.
I rip my DVDs using Handbrake with the following specs:
Format: H.264
Large file size selected
Average bit rate: 4000kbps
2 pass encoding
Frame rate: same as source
Aspect ratio: strict
So there is no reason why it shouldn't be playing video. Infact, I haven't changed my handbrake settings and have watched hundreds of video's previously with these settings, only just recently has my AppleTV been doing this.
Any suggestions?

For some reason, Handbrake, using the Apple TV 2 setting, changed the Output Picture Size from the 1280x720 of the original to 1276x734. The Apple TV 2 would produce sound but no picture.
Fiddling with Handbrake's Output Picture Size until it was "Anamorphic: 1280x720 Loose" allowed it to produce a playable file.
Handbrake often fiddles with the picture size but in previous encodings, not approaching the Apple TV 2's picture size limits, it hadn't mattered.
