Hi, I want to input the 5. sound from my HDTV receiver into my SB Audigy 2... is it as simple as inputting into the AUX line? And will it be true 5. My last question is, is there a better way to do it's

I have a Motorola box with Charter Cable with a 2-to- audio cable (Red & White RCA jacks to Phono jack) plugged directly into the Line-In port on an Audigy 2 ZS. On channels that support 5. (HBO, Showtime, etc.) you can definitely hear the difference. Just make sure you go into the Audio section of your cable box menu and select the proper options. As far as a better way to do it- if you find one, let me know.

How can i help if the user does not know what he/she needs.
The way I'm doing this currently is by giving the user the transactions he/she needs and then have them run /nsu53 and I fix the problem.

As I have worked in situtations similar to the one you describe where the user performing the testing doesnt know which activites/values they need access to contribute to productive role build/testing sessions. Some of the things I have done to help them are:
1) Educate the user on the Authorization Object and Fields. You can typucally hit (F1) for more information related to the object/field.
2) Tie the object values back to actual SAP Tables with data to show user configuration of the system and values that are options.
3) Find someone from the process/business side who understands the requirments or has done the configuration to support the process and have an educational/testing session together.

How to change HDMI port settings from output to input to accept signals from cable/satellite box?

I have a new dv8t Entertainment PC with the HP Integrated HDTVHybrid Tuner. The instruction manual provides 2 ways to connect the laptop to a cable/satellite box: (1) coax/rf; or (2) HDMI. The coax is a no-brainer; got it up and running in 10 minutes. However, I am unable to get it to work connecting the HDMI cable, as the HDMI port on the laptop appears to be stuck in output mode. How do I change the configuration of the HDMI port to "input" so that it can accept signals from my cable box?

So, Mac Pro doesn't have any video INPUTS just Outputs. CHECK.
That is correct I have a six-input-port-selector with one input (SWITCH C2G). CHECK.
What I want is to be able to toggle through the inputs from the HDMI Switch C2G. That way I can use all my devices (Mac Pro, Xbox, PS3, Cable Box) with these monitors.
Since the Switch C2G only has one OUTPUT Slot, I'm thinking I just need to connect the monitors to the Switch C2G Output slot by using a 2 to 1 HDMI Adapter, but wouldn't I lose the true potential of these monitors by not connecting them directly to the Mac Pro?
Currently, I have the monitors hooked up with Thunderbolt/Mini Display Adapters to the Mac. So I guess I would just have to run just one HDMI with Thunderbolt/Mini Display from the Mac to the Switch C2G, and connect the other devices to the Switch as well.
Jeez. Am I right?
What If I get an HDMI Switch with 2 Outputs instead of getting the 2 to 1 HDMI Adapter or perhaps a 4 to 2 Adapter. Heck. I'm not sure what to do here.

Keyboards and mice are low power devices. Put your printer on a separate USB port from the keyboard and mouse. If you have to, buy a wall powered USB hub to have multiple USB devices on your Mac.

How to force to wait and get input from a jframe-jpanel?

I would like to use a jframe-jpanel to get user input instead of using JOptionPane.showInputDialog since there will be more than 1 input.
But I could not do it. The code reads the panel lines and passes to other lines below without waiting for the okay button to be pressed.

I am working on Inventory withdrawl report and in the selection screen, If i enter the CHARG (Batch number) then I need to display the posting date by default in the next selection input based on the Batch number.
In the selection screen :
Batch : 7111WF0211.
Posting Date : (I need to display by default based on batch number).
My requirement is, in the above Batch first digit '7' is the year.
And from 2nd to 4th digit. i.e., 111. I need to find out month and day from 111.
I mean from 1 to 365 days, In which day and which month '111' will come ?
Please send me the code or suitable Function Module. Your help will be appreciated.

Call Function 'ADD_TIME_TO_DATE'

You will get the date in date_p_d.
But what about Leap years? IS the first number the year?
IF so pass in i_idate the first of january of that year so you get the correct day depending if it is a leap year or not

I presume that you mean that the switches do not light up as appropriate when you select a Patch in MS?
If so, in Layout Mode, select each of the buttons in turn, and check that they are a) Assigned to the correct MIDI CC number etc, and b) that "Send Value to" has the correct Port selected.

Get an HDMI switcher. Plug in the ATV directly to the TV and then use the switcher on the other input.

Input and output from child process

Hi all,
I am developing an IDE for the Haskell functional programming language. The application runs the Haskell interpreter as child process, and sends and receives input from the interpreter. At the moment I'm programming the integrated console through which the IDE should communicate with the interpreter. The problem is that when I send a command to the interpreter to execute the code I can't detect when the code is running and when it waits for input, so I'll be able to dissable and enable input in the the console respectivly. Please answer as soon as possible, and if my explanation of the problem is not clear enough please just comment about it. Thank you in advance.

Generally the way I have seen that sort of things designed is like this: You have a script in mind. For example:
1. Send command "ABC DEF" to the interpreter.
2. Wait until it responds with "OK" or "Failed".
3. If it responded with "Failed" then quit.
4. Send command "XYZ XYZ" to the interpreter.
5. ... and so on
You can do this in simple or complicated ways, of course. But if you can't do it, then you're going to find it difficult to do anything at all. For example you won't know when the interpreter is waiting for input (that seems to be your problem already).

Multiple Input and Output from a 6534

I am after some advice regarding my PCI 6543 digital I/O card and the best way to achieve my desired results. I am programming in Visual C++ with Ni-DAQ 7.
I want to generate a pattern output from one of the ports, Port A, following a software command. This pattern consists of a 10uS pulse on DIOA0, that repeats 200 times with a period of 100uS. I want this DIOA0 output line to initiate an input on ports C and D, possibly through the REQ pin. Consequently the input should acquire 200 times for each call to the pattern output.
I want this to repeat, so the pattern output goes again (as in a FOR loop), and the input occurs again for an as yet undetermined number of times.
I have managed to get something worki
ng for 1 iteration, and I can generate multiple pattern outputs, but the inputs only seem to acquire for the 1st iteration. However, if I step through the code in debug mode I can get the input to work correctly.
Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.
I am still trying to get some earlier problems with this application solved.

Hi Jamie,
There are a couple different ways you can loop from a buffer. You can either use the onboard memory of the 6534 and loop from there or you can specify as a software configuration that the board loop through the PC memory buffer.
For the onboard looping you need to specify the following:
iStatus = Set_DAQ_Device_Info (1, ND_PATTERN_GENERATION_LOOP_ENABLE, ND_ON);
For software, PC memory looping, the following function specifies this:
iStatus = DIG_DB_Config (iDevice, iGroup, 1, 0, 1);

PC as a bluetooth Device and accept input from other devices

I need to set my PC up as a bluetooth device by use of a bluetooth dongle connected to my PC. I need to have a program running on my PC that will detect other bluetooth devices and connect with them, accept input from them. Please help me do this. anyone got code for this? There's no way to do is with standard Java as far as i know. You'll have to use JNI to use native libraries.
