AUgraphicEQ filter doesn't work

I have FCE4.0 and I'm trying to use the AUgraphicEQ filter on a clip. But it doesn't do anything. I move the sliders and nothing happens. Also, it's supposed to be possible to change between 10 bands & 31 bands, but that doesn't work either.
I found a post from 2 years ago with this same problem. (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=3048026&#3048026) But that was never resolved.
The filter works in a 3rd party program just fine (Peak LE 4). It's possible to modify the audio there and import it back to FCE, but I have too many clips for that to be practical.
Anyone know what the deal is?

I checked it out several times and mine did not work in either FCE or FCP.
I trashed the preferences etc. and it still didn't work.
Finally I contacted Tom Wolsky who said that his worked, although the 10 Band one didn't.
I decided to give it one last try and surprise, surprise! It worked in both FCE and FCP (except for the 10 Band).
I don't know why because I can't think of anything I did differently in either app!

The Filter defined will only be run in the context that it is defined in. Since you are creating a new context, you will have to assign a new Filter. BTW, why not include the static content in the WAR with the dynamic stuff?

Junk mail filter doesn't work all the time

Why doesn't the Junk mail filter work all the time? I click on mail like from Best Buy or Omni Hotels to go into junk mail but hardly any of their mail goes into Junk. Other sites go directly to Junk. If I click on a Best Buy mail to indicate it's Junk, shouldn't that work 100% of the time forever and ever?

The Junk filter is based on an analysis of the content of the message. It ignores the sender. (Filtering based on the sender is an ineffective way of dealing with true spam, since spammers use constantly-changing spoofed addresses.)
If you don't want mail from a legitimate sender like Best Buy, unsubscribe from their ads. If that doesn't work, make a Rule to delete or move the messages.

Keyboard Driver Filter doesn't work in 6.0.2

We're aware that the NI Keyboard Driver Filter may cause the computer to hang in the middle of shutdown (Windows XP) if a USB keyboard is used, so we substituted a PS-2 keyboard. This worked fine.
Then, when we updated Lookout 6.0.1 to 6.0.2, making sure that the Keyboard Driver Filter was installed, we found that the Keyboard Driver Filter did not work. It was still possible for a user with a lower priority to reach the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del.
We need to protect Lookout from being accidentally closed by users "playing" with the keyboard.
How do we get this function back?

I got something from R&D. The keyboard filter in Lookout 6.0.2 has some bugs, which cause it not to work and also some other unexpected problems. That means the filter in 6.0.2 doesn't work at all.
You'd better uninstall the whole Lookout 6.0.2 and then install it again without keyboard filter. After that, you need to install the keyboard filter shipped with DSC 8.0.1, which has fixed those bugs. See the attachment.

Webutil: webutil_file.file_open_dialog with filter doesn't work as expected

I just tried to open files by using webutil_file.file_open_dialog. Since I only want to select files with the prefix "brp" (e.g. brp0001.txt, brp0002.lis), I fill the parameter file_filter with the value: brp*.*
This doesn't work. The dialog only shows folders, but not the brp*.* files. I tried with switching to capitals, which doesn't solve anything. With the filter set to *.* the dialog shows all folders and files, so that seems to work ok.
Is anyone aware of this problem and know a solution? I'm using webutil 1.0.2 (beta).

K..here's some logging. As far as I can see it's all normal, but it doesn't work (no matter if I use a last | or not). Should be easy to reproduce.

Bug - column filter doesn't work in 3.1.05

When viewing a table in sqldev, if you click on a column heading you are given a filter box. That filter never returns any rows. I have tried using the same case as the data, and also entering the filter in LC when the data is in UC - neither one works. I just tested this in 3.0.04, and it doesn't work there, either.

Here is the description from the Help manual for the function I am trying to use:
Filter Column enables you to enter a partial value (such as a number or a string; at least two characters for a string), to limit the dialog box display to items containing the partial value, so that you can then select the one item to appear in the grid. For example, entering EMP for column names might show a list of columns including EMPLOYEE_ID and IS_TEMP.
That function appears in both the Data view, and the Columns view, but doesn't work in either one. I've tried using the exact same case, with and without % signs and single quotes.
I use sqldev to support Demantra, which has tables with hundreds of columns (plus we've customized it with even more columns). It would help if sqldev sorted those columns by column name. Since it doesn't do that, I could filter the column list to show me just our custom columns using DF_ or DF_% as the filter criteria, if that function worked.
There is a workaround for filtering data, since you can enter filter criteria in the Filter bar such as err_msg like '%problem%'. But that filter bar doesn't appear in the Columns view.

Filter Doesn't Work When Value is Cleared From Prompt

I'm trying to set up a very simple report that shows at most 1 record. As a proof of concept, I have a report with one column, "Company Name" and I have this report on a Dashboard with a prompt.
In the report, I have a filter critera that's set to "Company Name = 'Unspecified'". When I open the dashboard, it displays only the record where the name is Unspecified like I expect. When I filter on another company name in the prompt and hit "GO", it displays the apporpriate company. The issue happens when I now clear the filter and hit "GO" again. In this instance, it displays every company.
I've also tried the following:
Company Name is Unspecified (Protect Filter is slected)
OR Company Name is Prompted
AND RCOUNT(Company Name) = 1
I have the same issue.
Any ideas?

- TimOBIEE is acting as expected. When the prompt is "blank," that is the equivalent of having no filter; hence all records are displayed. Having an "Is Prompted" filter doesn't help. When there are no values selectd, the "Is Prompted" filter in effect disappears, again leaving all records.
Try using a presentation variable with a default value (like "Unspecified" if you have an actual entry with that name).

Email SPAM filter doesn't work

Is the webmail SPAM filter supposed to ... like ... prevent SPAM? I get the same SPAM every day. The SPAM button does nothing,

I have been marking about 30 per day as spam and forwarding all of them to the address that Verizon says is for undetected spam. The spam I get is all from the same outfit, I believe, based on the uniformity of how they package their notes and the fact that all of the links are spoofed. One would think that after 30 a day for several months, somebody in Verizon would wake up to the fact that Verizon users are getting killed with spam. One would think that if they truly cared about our email experience they would have an army of folks jumping on the spam we forward to them, aggressively pursuing it and working to reduce it. The fact is that they show no evidence of putting forth ANY effort at making our experience better.
The fact seems to be that they have little concern for their email users. The more of us that stick with Verizon for our home internet service, paying them their monthly fee, but jump to other, better email providers merely means less work for them. Not a bad model for making maximum profit, but a sucky way to treat customers.
My Verizon Wireless service has been fantastic. But my Verizon phone/internet service sucks. I'm just waiting until another provider is available in my area so I can leave Verizon forever. Lousy support, uncaring employees. I send in notes to them and get zero response. Look at the complaints in these forums that continue to rack up. Almost no response from the company. We're all left to try to deal with our problems ourselves with only minimal support. Probably some intern that spends his/her shift playing Angry Birds.

INSO-filter doesn't work correct with german special characters in pdf-files

During testing the interMedia Text I watched that some words from pdf-files are not indexed. That's why I use the INSO-filter at the DOS command-line:
ctxhx xxx.pdf xxx.txt <<The xxx.pdf-file includes the phrase:
"... generell |berwiegende vffentliche Interessen im Sinne ..."
The result in the xxx.txt-file is:
"... generell |berwiegende Interessen im Sinne ..."
The word "vffentliche" is lost. Is this a bug in INSO-filter or an incorrect using?

Actually, The inso filters do not even work for me for PDF file versions 1.2+. Is anyone else experiencing the same difficulties ? How often does Oracle update the INSO filters to keep up with vendors (Adobe/Microsoft) coming out with newer versions of their document products ?

Junk filter doesn't work most of the time

I might have asked for problems. By mistake I qualified about 20 messages in my junk folder as not junk ... Then I marked them as junk again after I noticed the mistake I have made. Ever since the filter seems to be confused and doesn't screen out junk the way it did. Regardless how many times I marked as junk the messages (usually from the same senders) that should be junk, they end up in my inbox.
I am using the latest version of Mavericks with the latest version of Apple mail.
Is there anything I can do to fix the problem? Thanks in advance.

Junk Mail Filter Doesn't Work

I've sent email to myself from my work email address. It always shows up as junk mail no matter ho many times I indicate that it's not.
Three coworkers responded to an email I sent to them from my home account. Two shoed up as junk and one didn't. All three are in my address book. This is despite the fact that the box is check in the Junk Mail Prefs that exempt those in my Address Book from being considered as junk
I've deleted anything related to Junk in my ~/Library/Mail directory
Still broken
Any thoughts?

first of all, do you have another junk mail plug in installed by any chance? if so i would disable it, if not i would then suggest the following: go to mail>preferences>junk mail and disable junk mail filtering then enable it again. then choose either of the first three options (i have advanced checked) and if you choose advanced, then click on the advanced button to check the rule there (i have sender is not in my address book and message is junk mail then move to junk and color brown... but you can have a variety of rules that suit your goals... then after choosing, click ok). then click on the reset button to reset the junk database. then if you have checked "sender of message is in my previous recipient" go to mail>window>previous recipients and get rid of recipients that you want mail to treat as junk.

I want use the ipf to bypass the solairs route table. So that package source from net 192.168.2.0/24 will be send out though bg3.
The following is my ipf.conf file

But when I sent out UDP message with source ip 192.168.2.10 to 193.168.3.1, the ipf match the package, and redirect it to interface bge3. But I can't caputre the package in the wire.

If you use the 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY', pass the REF_TABNAME and REF_FIELDNAME in the fildcat.
or
pass the lowercase = 'X'. in the fieldcat.
or
If the length is default length of that field then pass the outputlength(as for required length for that field) in the fieldcat.

PCD Inspector Filter doesn't work

Hi all experts,
I try to implement a PCD Inspector filter. I've implemented the java filter class very similar with com.sap.portal.demo.CountryFilterService provided on the Webinar Filtering role and workset content for developers.
my filterString is:
filterExpression = "(Cash=SI)";
but, when I try to execute this on the pcd inspector this error appear:

The character "(" at position 3 is not recognized as a legal operator in filterString "(&((Cash=SI))((&(|(com.sap.portal.pcd.gl.ObjectClass=com.sapportals.portal.page)(com.sap.portal.pcd.gl.ObjectClass=com.sapportals.portal.iview))(com.sapportals.portal.navigation.FolderEntry=true))))".
this is a java class issue? how can I write the filterString to solve the problem?

I never tried to implement a PCD Inspector filter but if I look at the error message: <i>The character "(" at position 3 is not recognized as a legal operator in filterString "(&((Cash=SI))((&(|(com.sap.portal.pcd.gl.ObjectClass=com.sapportals.portal.page)(com.sap.portal.pcd.gl.ObjectClass=com.sapportals.portal.iview))(com.sapportals.portal.navigation.FolderEntry=true))))".</i>
I see that ((Cash=SI)) has double parenthesis and i think that's what bothers him.
Its a long shot but try:
filterExpression = "Cash=SI";

Filter on Table works only on the first display of the page

Hi,
I have a .jspx page with a databound table (I have just dragged and dropped a view object -> Create -> Tables -> ADF table; checked all checkboxes in the Edit Table Columns dialog). I run the page and use one of the column filters; everything works fine. Then I navigate to another page in the application and when returning to the initial page, the filter doesn't work anymore. I ran into this behavior on both JDev TP3 and TP4.
