Excited about Win10 but highly frustrated as try and load Aura instantly receive a pop up notification Alpha main has stopped working it then closes the Aura application down?

I'm getting this same issue as well. Very disappointing.Hope a fox is coming soon.

Well, it has been a long road on the Win 10 upgrade. At first I got the same error message as above, but after deleting the Dolby Advanced Audio v2 in Win 10 using Control Panel Programs and Features and rebooting, I got into the continual BSOD upon reboot. Here are the steps I took to at least get stable on Windows 10. First, I rolled back to Windows 8.1 using the advanced feature in the BSOD recovery options. Once back in Win 8.1, I deleted the Dolby Advanced Audio v2 using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. Then I downloaded the Win 10 update and re-installed it. Once that completed, I updated the Intel Graphics driver under the display adapters (on my G780 it is an Intel HD Graphics 4000, and the driver can be found at https://downloadcenter.intel.com/). Currently I am running version 10.18.10.4252 for my machine. Then, under the Device Manager, I updated the Conexant SmartAudio HD driver under the Sound, video, and game controllers. That driver is currently at 8.66.4.50 and was automatically downloaded from the web when I requested to update driver. I also changed several others settings such as Notify to schedule restart after updates are installed instead of automatic (under Settings --> Update & Security --> Advanced Options) and Do you want Windows to download driver software and realistic icons for your devices? --> No, let me choose what to do, never install driver software from Windows Update. After that, I shut down the machine, waited a moment and booted back up. I have no idea why this helped or if it is overkill, but I am stable and running without a fear of rebooting now. Hope this helps if someone else is having this same issue.

Hi,I have tried by switching dolby on but its not showing any difference. The app is installed but not working you can do on/off, set equlaizer but it doesnot show any effect. I upgraded my OS to Windows 10, and after the instalation, I realized that when i press the OVERCLOCK button on my to on my desktop to run the overclock it doesnt light up or run nor can i run the aplication when i click it on my computer (the one that allows me to switch from basic, extreme etc.) I would really appreaciate some help with this. HDMI Port not working after Windows 10 Upgrade

My HDMI port quit working after upgrading to Windows 10. The VGA port works fine. I have triend many of the fixes for listed for this issue for upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 8/8.1. Here's whay I've done so far... 1) Downloaded the most recent drivers for my Intel(R) Graphics Card. Outcome: It said the drivers installed were newer than the driver I was installing. Tried anyway, didn't work. 2) Uninstalled the driver and let windows update it.Outcome: Black screen, then it restarted and installed the same driver it had before. 3) Tried installing the Windows 7 Driver for my Intel(R) Graphics Card. Outcome: Black screen, then it restarted and installed the same driver it had before. 4) At this point I tried the last resort. I spun around three times in a circle and spit in the corner.Outcome: Wife yelled at me and kids thought I had a demon. Please help, I use this computer in the office to connect to a 65" TV and I NEED my HDMI port.

After upgrading to Windows 10 on my 2 month old Acer VN7-791G, my Logitech bluetooth mouse could not pair, my bluetooth speakers could not pair and neither could by Nexus 7. All these devices were working fine on Win 8.1 earlier. Under Device Manager, only the generic Windows Bluetooth, Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator and LE Enumerator drivers were showing (dated 21/6/2006). Under Network adapters, the driver showing was the Qualcomm Atheros QCA64x4 ver 10.0.0.62 dated 18/5/2015. I checked that this model is indeed compatible under ACER's website for Windows 10. I have also been checking the ACER drivers for Win 10 for this model but there are no new updated ones for Bluetooth. I downloaded the Win 8.1 ones and installed them but they still would not work (the Microsoft ones are still showing under Device Manager). I had to actually downgrade back to 8.1 a few days ago due to this issue but thought I would try to update to Windows 10 again hoping it would work but still no luck. I had googled but can't seem to find a solution and suspect that I need an updated bluetooth driver for Windows 10 from Acer or Broadcom. The Atheros website do not have any Windows 10 bluetooth drivers as well. I may have to downgrade again and try again in a few months time unless someone could please point me in the right direction. This wiped out all data and applications/programs After getting back to default Windows 8.1, I tried pairing my bluetooth mouse and it worked I then immediately installed Windows 10 (from ISO file downloaded earlier) off a USB stick I chose the option for a clean install (this doesn't load any of the ACER bloatware) Once logging into Windows 10,I went into Device Manager and uninstalled all Bluetooth drivers Then I ran the setup for the Windows 8.1 Atheros bluetooth drivers as suggested - "LITE-ON Bluetooth_M 3rd WiFi 2x2 AC+ BT M.2 QCA NFA344_3.0.0.373_W81x64" I tried pairing my mouse and Nexus 7 and it works!!! For reference, here is my setup under Windows 10 after successfully pairing bluetooth devices. btw, interesting to see that the event log still reports some error about further installation just like earlier - probably indicates that the Win 8.1 Acer drivers are not 100% compatible yet.

SRS-X3 not working after Windows 10 upgrade

Hi. I have a Sony SRS-X3 bluetooth speaker which worked perfectly well under Windows 8.1. Since upgrading to Windows 10 it is no longer working properly. Interestingly, when it first connects it sounds great--full body sound like it should, then maybe 3 seconds later it is suddenly reduced to sounding very quiet, hollow, and tinny like (and does not get louder when increasing the volume on the computer). In Windows 10, Under Sound --> Playback, it lists 2 devices: "Headset Earphone SONYRS-X3 Hands-Free" and "Speakers SONYRS-X3 Stereo." The earphone one was initially the default one, so I tried making the Speakers one the default one--and the moment I did that, the audio cut out completely. Windows troubleshooting says everything is fine, and turning the computer volume up to max (or the volume on the SRS-X3) does nothing. Anyone have any thoughts? It's very frustrating. Thanks.

Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. I didn't have anything flagged in the device manager though. I did manage to get it working on my own however. I watched what would happen when I first turned on the SRS-X3 while under Sound --> Playback Devices --> Playback: first the Sony Speakers device would start playing for a few seconds, and everything sounded normal; then, all of a sudden it would stop and instead the second Sony device (called "Headset earphones") would suddenly start, and that's what was causing the tinny sound. I tried setting the Speakers device to "Default" but that didn't work. The following worked for me: under Sound --> Playback Devices --> Playbackselect the Sony "Headset earphones" device, choose Properties, and set "Device usage" to "Don't use this device (disable)." Now only the Sony Speakers device plays when I turn on the SRS-X3, and the sound is great.

Audio not working after Windows 10 upgrade (Lenovo G780)

After my upgrade to Windows 10 on my Lenovo G780, it seems like my audio isn't functioning anymore. I tried to plug in my headset as well to check if I had audio coming through that, but it does not appear in the Playback Devices window when plugged. The laptop comes with Conexant SmartAudio HD and also lists High Definition Audio Device under Device Manager. Could anyone help me out and let me know if there's some problem I am overseeing. I found a page that has some Conexant software for windows 10 but I am not sure if they are updated drivers or if they even support my machine (the page does not list support for G780). I see by your post that the USB isn't being recognized.
I can help you with this issue.
Are you using the same USB cable? (known good USB cable)
You want to use the normal USB slot 2.0 cable and not the latest USB 3.0.
USB 3.0 are supposed to be backwards compatible.
Try another USB port on the Laptop, some of the USB ports are more powered then others.
I have provided a document to see if the printer is partially recognized in the device manager, which is causing the printer not to be recognized again. (the uninstall from the CD should have removed the entry and the printer from the registry)
Leave the printer turned on and the USB cable connected directly to the computer and the printer's power cord directly into a wall outlet.
How do I get into Windows Device Manager?
Here is a document for Identifying problems in Windows Device Manager.
Check to see if there are any hardware driver conflicts, you might see a ! mark or a red x beside a device with a conflict or unknown device, look under universal serial bus controllers, look for USB printing support or mass storage device, delete the entry by right clicking and select uninstall, OK.
Let me know how it was listed. (screen shots welcome)
If this is a Laptop then check the power management settings.
Access the device manager. Windows 8-How do I access the Device Manager.
Select universal serial bus controllers from the list, for each USB root hub, right click and left click on properties, for power management remove the check mark for "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". It allows the computer to limit or turn off power for this device.
Disconnect the USB, run the full uninstall and reinstall the printer software again.

The webcam is listed in device manager under the Imaging devices
There you should see USB Video Device.
If its not listed there, then I think that the device malfunctions or its disconnected.
The webcam is an usb device and its connected to USB controller.
I read in different threads that in some cases the cable could be loose and therefore the webcam would not be listed in device manager.
I such case the display lid needs to be disassembled and the cables should be checked.
In my opinion its a job for an technician.
