AUSST (Adobe Update Server) failing on clients with error U43M1D206

Hi,
I have a newly configured Adobe Update Server setup running on Windows 2008 Server R2 and IIS 7.
I have the web server configured as per the PDF document (AdobeUpdateServerSetupTool.pdf, pages 15 onwards).
My clients can successfully see the test xml document at this URL from a web browser:
http://myserver/Adobe/webfeed/oobe/aam10/mac/updaterfeed.xml
When I go to do updates from an Adobe CC app (Photoshop for example), the new updates show up in a list, but when I type in my password and attempt to update, the Adobe updater reports an error:
"Update Failed"
Updates could not be applied
The error log file may help you in identifying the problem.  Then, try updating again.  If the problems persist, contact customer support for further assistance.
The error log reads like this:
Adobe Photoshop 14.2.1
Some error occured during download. Please try again later. Error Code: U43M1D206
DPS Desktop Tools CS6 30.0.0 Update
Some error occured during download. Please try again later. Error Code: U43M1D206
DPS Desktop Tools CC 30.0.0 Update
Some error occured during download. Please try again later. Error Code: U43M1D206
Adobe ShareOnBehance 1.0.3
Some error occured during download. Please try again later. Error Code: U43M1D206
I've searched on the error code quoted above, and not found any useful information.
I'm wondering if there is an IIS server side set up issue that I'm not aware of.
Please help with any possible suggestion that I could attempt to get this working successfully as I've exhausted all possible thoughts of how to troubleshoot this further.
Many thanks.

I have the same problem, any sollutions?

  • Adobe Update Server - Web Premium CS5.5 - Error Code: U41M1C213

    Good Afternoon All!
I've just received the site licence for Adobe Web Premium CS5.5 and installing the Adobe Update Server.
I can browse to the xml file on the client (which just displays a number), and I've downloaded all the updates etc. restarted the site... I've deployed the AdobeUpdater.overrides file to the client, but when I try updating I get the following error:
The update server is not responding. The server might be offline
temporarily, or the Internet of firewall settings may be incorrect.
Please try again later. Error Code: U41M1C213
I've looked around online but can't see any reference to this issue.
When I remove the AdobeUpdater.overrides file from the client and try updating again, it finds updates from Adobe, but fails when I put it back.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be extremely grateful... If any more information is needed, just ask.
    Thanks,
    Rick
(p.s. apologies if this isn't in the correct forum/board, there wasn't one for the update server)

    Hi Ralph,
Did you ever find a solution to this issue? I am experiencing a similar issue with the CS5.5 Design and Web Premium installation, failing while installing Illustrator 15.1 and rolling back the installation.

The problem was with /etc/hosts file.
The value that is returned by the hostname command should appear in /etc/hosts file otherwise BI Server fails to start with the above error

  • Adobe Update Server - help with HTTP service

    Hi all,
Could anyone please help me out with the specifics for the HTTP server needed for the Adobe Update Server?
I'm reading the TechNotes PDF, though helpful for the updater server itself, it isn't really clear on the HTTP service part.
What url exactly? which rights? and so on...
Maybe someone could host a website on his OS X Server machine and make some screenshots for me?
    Thanks in advance!!

    Hi,
There is no specific requirement from the http server for setting up adobe update server using AUSST. It should be any up-and-running http server say Apache. URLs are automatically generated by AUSST in form of client configuration files, so you do not need to bother about the URLs as such.  Similarly rights to the generated updater contents would also be automatically taken care by the tool itself. The only thing you need to figure out and tell the AUSST tool is the http based URL corresponding to the update server root that you are setting up. The latest documentation at http://www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/creativesuite/pdfs/UpdateServerSetupTool_ TechNote.pdf has some troubleshooting steps that help you out with most common issues.
    Thanks,
    Manju

The Lenovo System Update installed the "Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver 8.9.2.1002" right before the Windows Upgrade got broken. So in the Device Manager under IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers, I choose Intel ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller, on the Driver Tab, I choose the option "Roll Back Driver" and after rolling back the driver and restarting the OS, now Windows Update is working like a Champ!

  • REQUEST: Adobe Update Server

    Hi,
I am an admin of 80 Workstation and I would like to request an Adobe Update Server like WSUS from Microsoft or SAP Installation Server. Adobe release a lot of Updates and sometimes they are critical such as for the Adobe Reader. So i must walk to all 80 Workstation and install the Update manually. Thats time intensive and the Workstation are not secure until i install the Update. To use the Update function of the Products is no opinion because when every workstation download only the Photoshop CS4 Update i have about 8 GB internet traffic.
Adobe develop a lot of wonderful Products and when they develop an Adobe Update Server all Admin in the World can update their Products promtly and all Products would be save. And nobody can use a security hole to get control over the workstation. The Admins can save a lot of time with such a Server. And time is Money
    Dear Dusselritter

You might try the Creative Suite forums. I am pretty sure I made it into the CS4 Installer beta test by posting up on my attempts to get a CS3 automated install working in there...
But basically, I am with you in spirit. Adobe needs to deliver their updates packaged for delivery by the Workgroup Management software for each platform. On the Mac side it is Installer packages that Apple Remote Access can push to the client machines. I guess it would be WSUS-compatible packages on the Windows side?

  • 10.4 Server - software update server - push to clients

    Hello all, after some advice.
Weve recently built up a 10.4.7 Server running among other services, Software Update. We've been successfull in pushing out managed pref's to clients to retarget their update server etc, updates are working so thats fine..
heres the issue. most of our mac clients arent admins, they are regular users, thus every time an update needs to install - it will prompt for an admin user's credentials, which we cant have happening.
Is there a way, to configure either the update server or the clients, to receive updates and install them silently for instance? with no user intervention?
One way im considering, its a bit messy though, is using apple remote desktop to issue a UNIX command to all selected Mac's, telling them to launch 'softwareupdate -i -r' and execute as root (afaik, you need to be root to execute softwareupdate manually or something) But this seems flaky in testing so far.
    Thanks for any help.
    Eliot.

Excellent thanks for the suggestions guys... Ive been playing with the cron suggestion to begin with, it seems to work, as in it will download and install recommended updates. Although with the particular update I was trying to install, it didnt seem to follow through correctly.
it was the latest firmware update for the INTEL iMac's, according to software update via the terminal, it had downloaded and installed the update, and then required a reboot. ok, but after reboot, it hadnt kicked into the firmware install mode. I actually had to download this update via the gui software update in order for it to function correctly, ie reboot, install firmware, reboot again. which is odd?? could be a problem for future updates like this, when using an automated cron task for updates? Or am I just missing something, hehe?
Otherwise yeah, the ARD option sounds interesting, we're about to purchase ARD3, definately worth a look.

  • Adobe update server addresses

Hi there, we are having issues with our corporate firewall, updating adobe creative suite 4 software via adobe update manager.
We have added one of the ip addreses already, but I notice the ip addresess change.
I wondered if I could have a complete list of adobe update server ip addresess, so we can make an exception within our firewall and mcafee hips protection exclusion.

    Hi Larzy,
You can find complete documentation regarding how to configure your firewall in the  Documentation for CS4 available at : http://www.adobe.com/devnet/creativesuite/enterprisedeployment.html.

    Hi,
I am not sure if my post is appropriate here. If not I'm asking the Forum Admin to transfer my post in the right forum topic.
I just want to ask other Adobe admins if it is possible to create an Adobe Update Server just like the Software Update of Apple. Where in we will install a server and configure this server to download and store all the adobe application update and serve it locally to our workstation (All macintosh).
We are mainly using (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge, Acrobat and After Effects)
    Is this possible?
